The Silence of The Shams…

Notice something missing recently?

The House Intelligence Committee now has the bank records of Fusion-GPS.  They were turned over Friday after a federal judge on Thursday shot-down a last-ditch effort by attorneys from Fusion to get an emergency injunction.

Chairman Devin Nunes and the House Intelligence Committee now have the records of payments made by Fusion-GPS to “journalists and media companies” during 2016 and early 2017 when Glenn Simpson, Mary Jacoby and Peter Fritsch were shopping the Christopher Steele ‘Russian dossier’ to enhance the “Insurance Policy”.

Perhaps we will find out which journalists and media companies were paid by Fusion-GPS. Perhaps those payments are part of the reason the media apparatus, writ large, made a concerted effort last week to distance the Steele Dossier from the origin of the FBI Counterintelligence operation against candidate Trump that began in July 2016.

Additionally, and I shall easily say ‘predictably‘, there’s been far less visible evidence of congressional or intelligence community leaks to the media.  The Wolff book has provided a deafening cover for the media retreat; but the absence of IC leaks is also deafening.  As we previously shared, this outcome was fully anticipated.

Most of the direct (“small group”) FBI (CoIntel), DOJ (NatSec Division) and Special Counsel co-conspirators are only able to talk amid themselves.  They know by now they are being monitored and they have strong suspicion the size of the surveillance upon them. [Hi guys.] No-one else is willing to put themselves at risk now.  Congressional allies now view the small group as carrying a legal ebola virus.  Contact is now a risk.

All of the ‘Muh Russia’ co-conspirators, and the aggregate DC enablers, along with their media mouthpieces are nervous.  The Wolff book noise is hiding a genuine trepidation that all of the scheming for the past 18+ months is about to come crashing down.

The larger American electorate have NO IDEA the scale and scope of the bigger story behind the vast Russian conspiracy.  The people involved are fully aware of the potential for their visible trail to become increasingly public.

The special FBI and DOJ unit that Rod Rosenstein put together, at the request of AG Jeff Sessions and DNI Dan Coats, is still hunting congressional and IC leak agents.  Almost no-one in the media has discussed this ongoing reality, but their silence on the story doesn’t mean their behavior has not changed directly because of it.

WASHINGTON – […] Gaining access to Fusion GPS’s bank records marks yet another victory for the Republicans in the House Intelligence Committee, which earlier in the week secureddocuments and text messages related to the Trump-Russia collusion investigation.

Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., had pursued the information for months and threatened a contempt of Congress charge against both Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray after they refused to turn over the information.

Two Republican senators earlier in the day Friday recommended that the Justice Department criminally investigate the author of the Trump dossier, which contains salacious and unverified claims about President Trump’s ties to Russia. Republicans are concerned the dossier may have been the impetus behind the federal inquiry looking into possible Russian collusion between that country and the Trump campaign.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., a senior committee member, told the DOJ they believe Christopher Steele, the former British spy who helped put together the dossier, knowingly lied to federal authorities about his communications with U.S. journalists.

A lawyer for Fusion GPS lashed out at the senators, accusing them of making “another attempt to discredit government sources.”  (read more)

As the Inspector General investigation continues: ♦FBI Agent Peter Strzok has been reassigned to the HR department.  ♦FBI Lawyer Lisa Page, personal legal aide to FBI Asst. Director, Andrew “Andy” McCabe, has been returned to the DOJ side. ♦FBI Chief Legal Counsel James Baker has been relieved of his duties by FBI Director Christopher Wray. ♦FBI Asst Director Andrew McCabe has announced his intent to retire in March.

All of these FBI personnel moves are a preliminary outcomes of the still ongoing Office of Inspector General (OIG) investigation.   All of this has been reported.  None of these moves are speculative.  All of these geese are cooked.  However, this is just one side of the 2016 political “Trump operation”, the FBI investigative Counterintelligence Division side.

The other side, the legal side of the Trump operation, stems from the National Security Division of the DOJ.  A FISA application is submitted from the DOJ-NSD  for use by the FBI Counterintelligence team.   Sunlight upon this side of the collaboration is the reason for all of the current distraction narratives.

The Department of Justice, National Security Division, FISC application(s) and the FISA 702(16)(17) wiretapping and surveillance collection, along with the unmasking that followed, is the focus of House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes.  He is tackling the biggest scandal – OUTLINED HERE

Sometime this month, after the initial Inspector General Michael Horowitz release, House Judiciary Chair Bob Goodlatte and Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley will likely call for a Special Counsel to investigate the upper-level management of the FBI and DOJ.

We should support that approach.  The SC can quickly put a Grand Jury together and start presenting the IG investigative evidence, as well as enforceable subpoenas for witnesses.

There’s a lot of different down-stream legal issues:

  • The unlawful exoneration of Hillary Clinton by political operatives in the DOJ/FBI.
  • The unlawful destruction of evidence; and the manipulation of investigative protocols to gain a specific and pre-planned political outcome. (Peter Strzok, Andrew McCabe)
  • The unlawful use of the FISA court for political spy operations by the DOJ/FBI.
  • The unlawful use of the Dept of Justice National Security Division.  For weaponized political benefit.  (Sally Yates, Loretta Lynch, Bruce Ohr)
  • The unlawful use of the FBI Counterintelligence Division. For weaponized political benefit. (James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, James Baker)
  • The unlawful use of a Special Counsel (Mueller) investigation to hide the conspiracy; (James Baker, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Bruce Ohr, Andrew Weissman, Jeannie Rhee, Aaron Zebley)

All of the origination details are part of the minutia that will surface in the next 30 days.  Devin Nunes, Bob Goodlatte and Chuck Grassley using the Judiciary and Intelligence Committees to collect evidence and tell the public everything outlined HERE and more.

Dave NYiii has a terrific discussion thread on the pending OIG Release HERE

IG Stimulated Releases of Information:

♦Release #1 was the FBI Agent Strzok and Attorney Lisa Page story; and the repercussions from discovering their politically motivated bias in the 2015/2016 Clinton email investigation and 2016/2017 Russian Election investigation.

♦Release #2 outlined the depth of FBI Agent Strzok and FBI Attorney Page’s specific history in the 2016 investigation into Hillary Clinton to include the changing of the wording [“grossly negligent” to “extremely careless”] of the probe outcome delivered by FBI Director James Comey.

♦Release #3 was the information about DOJ Deputy Bruce Ohr being in contact with Fusion GPS at the same time as the FISA application was submitted and granted by the FISA court; which authorized surveillance and wiretapping of candidate Donald Trump; that release also attached Bruce Ohr and Agent Strzok directly to the Steele Dossier.

♦Release #4 was information that Deputy Bruce Ohr’s wife, Nellie Ohr, was an actual contract employee of Fusion GPS, and was hired by F-GPS specifically to work on opposition research against candidate Donald Trump. Both Bruce Ohr and Nellie Ohr are attached to the origin of the Christopher Steele Russian Dossier.

♦Release #5 was the specific communication between FBI Agent Strzok and FBI Attorney Page. The 10,000 text messages that included evidence of them both meeting with Asst. FBI Director Andrew McCabe to discuss the “insurance policy” against candidate Donald Trump in August of 2016.

  4. The bottom is about to drop

Freedom came my way one day
And I started out of town.
All of a sudden I see sheriff john brown
    Aiming to shoot me down.
So I shot, I shot him down.
    I say:

I shot the sheriff, but I did not shoot the deputy.
I shot the sheriff, but I did not shoot the deputy.

Reflexes got the better of me
And what is to be must be.
Every day the bucket goes to the well,
But one day the bottom will drop out,
Yes, one day the bottom will drop out.

Apparently, an Obama appointed judge delayed the start of the Awan trial and is providing cover. These revelations damper rank-and-file FBI agents who are pressing to expand the case to encompass Awan’s two brothers and press an indictment for selling intelligence gleaned and possibly stolen from Congressional IT network the Awams were charged with safeguarding. “It’s rigged from almost every angle,” a frustrated FBI insider said.

Tanya Chutkan…I thought she was recused from this case, but here we see a story with her still attached? Louie Gohmert’s office may have been involved in transferring the case. Not sure where to find the truth…

“The Swamp is running scared and U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan is helping to provide the cover.

Chutkan, who is presiding over the Imran Awan and Hina Alvi fraud case, was appointed to the federal bench by Obama after she kicked thousands in campaign donations to his presidential campaign when he was a U.S. Senator in Illinois, records confirm.

Obama also appointed Chutkan’s husband, Peter Krauthamer, a judge to the bench in the District of Columbia Superior Court in 2011.

Krauthamer’s mother, and Chutkan’s mother-in-law, also contributed campaign cash to Obama, records confirm.

And Chutkan’s former law firm, where she worked until her appointment to the federal bench in 2014, currently represents Huma Abedin, the wife of disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner. The firm also is stacked with Democratic lawyers who worked for Hillary Clinton, John Podesta, and Barack Obama’s White House, just to name a few D.C. insiders.”

Nope, the difference between liberals and us is that when we see a report that is favorable to our leanings, that we subsequently learn is false, we stand corrected and drop it and move on.

A liberal in the same situation will first of all try never to be exposed to the truth, and if he accidentally is, he will attack the source personally and continue to believe and repeat the untruth. There is no other way to remain a liberal, as the truth would reveal your entire philosophy to be proven false.

On another thread, I outed myself as a “leftie” and explained that I found my way here — to a conservative website — because it literally is impossible to get information …. really anywhere. I was looking for actual facts. The echo chamber is not a new phenomenon (and let me toss out there — not always and everywhere just a “liberal media” problem), but I can attest from the other side of the political divide that this mass delusion is absolutely true and real. Poking at ANY part of the “Russia collusion” house of cards invites immediate, visceral scorn. Even kid-glove questions cause a total freakout.

It actually started during the primaries — the angry, arrogant certainty over demonstrably dubious claims (concerning either Clinton or Trump). I always thought Trump had a good chance to win (both the primary and the general) and was pretty clear on my reasons for why; the mere suggestion just made people mad at me, even while they refused (seemingly as a matter of principle) to engage my reasons, or to explain or defend their own perspective. It’s awful, and it runs deep.

I think this twitter analysis is off on a few points. (The references in the Grassley/Graham letter can be hard to follow — I tried to parse through it in a comment on SD’s “bluff” post addressing the topic a couple days ago.) First, I’m fairly certain that the false statements the Grassley/Graham letter refers to concern Steele’s statements only to the FBI (or statements attributed to Steele by the FBI), and *not* apparent discrepancies between what Steele reportedly told the FBI vs. congressional testimony (Steele has never testified before any congressional committee). Second, the twitter analysis seems to mistake the “classified memo” referred to in the first paragraph of the G/G letter as a memo written by Steele, given to or obtained by the FBI; but as I understand SD’s gloss, the “classified memo” G/G refer to in fact is a document prepared by the FBI and provided to the Senate Judiciary Committee. Thus (as I understand it) Grassley/Graham are calling out discrepancies in (1) statements attributed to Steele in the “classified memo” prepared by the FBI, and (2) statements attributed to Steele in other DOJ/FBI records — or known facts. In other words, G/G are shining a light on apparent discrepancies, which the FBI itself in principle knows about (from its own records) and, therefore, is either neglecting to pursue or fabricated in the first place. It has to be one or the other, which puts the FBI in an uncomfortable corner. But to the point of the twitter analysis — I don’t think we have basis to infer that Steele himself has anywhere documented for authorities (in a memo or otherwise) to which reporters/outlets he distributed dossier information.

It sure will be interesting what the bank records reveal. I noticed that many of them are silent. They used to have their mug in front of the camera all the time, but have disappeared when some of the GOP have started to speak up and push back (e.g., Jordan, Gaetz, Grassley, etc.). Also, Nunes had been silenced for months, but now he is back in full force.

One thing I’ve been thinking about lately that has me rather stumped: Immediately after Trump first tweeted that he just found out that Obama had his phones tapped and was spying on him during the campaign, I recall that Comey, who was still the head of the FBI, publicly came out and said it wasn’t true, and then publicly demanded that Trump’s Justice Dept. deny that Trump had been surveilled, which the Justice Dept. eventually did deny. Now I’m wondering how any of this could have happened. Why did Comey come out so quickly and publicly proclaim something to be false that he in fact knew to be quite true, and that he knew could eventually, and rather easily, be proven to be true (e.g. FISA warrant documentation)? Why did he draw the Justice Dept into it, and why did the Justice Dept back him? This makes no sense to me, especially now that we all know — and no one is even attempting to deny anymore — that Obama did in fact spy on Trump both during and after the election.

I remember that clearly. Comey was lying. He did not anticipate that Trump could fire him. He was so sure of the trap they had laid that he did not anticipate the possibility of its unraveling.

Also, very important to differentiate wiretapping versus surveillance. Comey was playing games with words just like Bill Clinton (definition of is, remember that one?). And weather the surveillance was directly on Trump or some members of his campaign (indirect way of spying on Trump).

I understand that Comey is arrogant and could have just been playing word games. I actually believe that he is a sociopath, so I don’t have any problem believing that he was lying through his teeth. But there are smart lies and there are dumb lies, and this one seems, in hindsight, like a very dumb lie. He could have remained silent and hoped it would all just blow over. It is very hard for me that Comey believed Trump’s allies within the administration were never going to find the FISA warrant. It just seems, in hindsight, to be extremely naive. Which is why I’m struggling with this part of the story. Does anyone think it’s possible Comey was deliberately left out of the loop on this, so that he could honestly deny it when and if he was called before Congress and asked about it under oath?

Comey has been a fixer for the Clintons since Arkansas. She was supposed to win. From November 9th until January 20th, everyone was in CYA mode.

I would like to have a couple of questions answered that also are not being asked or leaked:

Who were Jeff Sessions’ DOJ advisers who advised him he needed to recuse himself (from a fake collusion story, framed meetigs with the Russian Ambassador operative Kissof and using a grey matter clause about prior campaigning).

Did they have any association to the fake dossier?

When did communications start between the DOJ and Mueller for becoming a Special Counsel? (Between Super Tuesday and prior to the day he was named as SC?) Who were in communication with him?

          Premeditation much?

Maybe the calculation was that it would be better to bat down the charge quickly, while it was still fairly vague (“wiretapped phones”) in hopes that it would at least buy some time before more pointed and specific questions — which seems to have sort of worked — and, who knows, maybe they’d figure out a fix in the meantime. Also he may have calculated that it would get increasingly difficult to get away with any sort of denial once the focus of inquiry moved on from Trump’s colloquially-worded tweet to more precise legalese, making it hard to backtrack or weasel out later — so in other words, now or never. (As I recall, Comey’s denials at that point were cautious rambling, “I have no information that would support … blah blah blah…”)

But what about Clapper. He claimed in early 2017 to have no inkling of any FISA warrant, or any investigation at all, concerning the campaign — a very specific denial, which seems highly implausible (and which he and others seemed to have to creatively work around in later interviews…..).

What I want to know is when did surveillance start with them?

When Trump tweeted march 4 2017 about being wiretapped, surely he
knew everything about the attempted coup by then.

So were the suspects already identified and under surveillance then?

What i’m getting at is that If Strzok was so careless as to text

“Sometime this month, after the initial Inspector General Michael Horowitz release, House Judiciary Chair Bob Goodlatte and Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley will likely call for a Special Counsel to investigate the upper-level management of the FBI and DOJ.”

The term ‘Special Counsel’ is terrible. It is purposely ambiguous, unlike the original term ‘Special Prosecutor’.

“The term special counsel simply replaced the term “special prosecutor” that was used through the 1980s, after which the laws around special prosecutors expired and were not renewed, therefore retiring the term.”

Note: if the laws ‘around’ (imagine the encyclopedia of bogus legalese associated with ‘around’…) were not renewed, then by what lawful authority does Mueller’s position even exist?

“Both terms refer to an independent overseer who can investigate governmental records and press criminal charges.”

Note: investigate WHAT?!? What is the predicated ‘underlying crime’ which led to the appointment of Mueller? There ISN’T any!

There is NO lawful cause for Mueller to ever have been appointed.

Unlike the overwhelming evidence — beyond reasonable ANY doubt, regarding the conspiracy against the president — there is NO evidence (nor was any ever proffered) that DJT ever did anything illegal or unlawful, AT ALL.

Finally, from the article linked above:

“The current term used is “special counsel” and can be appointed only by the president, the attorney general or the deputy attorney general.”

Apparently DJT doesn’t need the DOJ to appoint a Special Prosecutor to prosecute those involved in the plot against him, he can do it himself.

    Speaking of the “media”…

A society populated with intelligent & rational people wouldn’t need to police their media, because any corrupt & dishonest outlet would go out of business, but a society that allows their children to be indoctrinated & brainwashed under the absolute control of our schools by the radical Marxist left is not an intelligent & rational society

We allow a serious injustice to our young who grow up as indoctrinated sheep, incapable of critical thinking skills, a rational thought process & a free & open mind. Those minds are then fed a continuing menu of propaganda & lies by the MS “Media”, who employ actors & actresses to portray journalists

Since that is the reality, & since the “media” is actively subverting our way of life & doing harm to our republic by corrupt & criminal intent, they need to be held accountable & prosecuted

No “media” outlet should be allowed to intentionally lie, broadcast fake news & intentionally hide the real truth from the public. Again, to do so is not only corrupt to the core, but also borders on criminal intent & the perversion of ethical standards that must be a part of any real media outlet

In the same way fake wrestling is not allowed to call itself a “sport”, fake news shows should be known as entertainment shows with scripts read by actors & actresses. To be allowed to call themselves “media” is an injustice & a total joke
