Senate Judiciary Committee Advances Todd Blanche AG Nomination

Senators Thom Tillis and John Cornyn finally dropped their opposition to Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche advancing the nomination with a judiciary committee vote 12-10 along party lines.

Senator Chuck Grassley navigated a pathway out of the committee with an agreement by AAG Blanche that an IRS lawsuit settlement agreement between the DOJ and Trump attorneys would not create a J6 victim’s compensation fund.

The $1.8 billion settlement between the IRS and lawyers representing President Trump for leaking the candidates’ personal tax returns still remains at the heart of the matter. What Donald Trump and the Trump Organization plan to do with the settlement is unknown, hence the political consternation about the settlement remains in place.

WASHINGTON DC – […] Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said ahead of the vote that Cornyn and Tillis’ concerns about the fund “and the IRS settlement were shared by many, including this senator.” He added that the changes Blanche made “put this issue to bed once and for all.”

9th Circuit Court of Appeals Says Illegal Alien Detention Unlawful Because No Other President Did It

The issue of illegal aliens being detained while awaiting their transport out of the country is destined to eventually hit the Supreme Court.

Several courts of appeal have split on the issue of whether illegal aliens can be detained during processing out of the country with some saying yes and some saying, no.  The Nineth Circuit Court of Appeals weighed in today and also said no, with a rather goofy and odd reason in their opinion. [Court Ruling Here]

The 9th CCA doesn’t like the term “illegal alien” so they use the politically correct term, “unadmitted aliens” to describe non-Americans who are in the country illegally.  Technically, the entire population of planet Earth is “unadmitted” to the United States, so far. However, as Orwell noted twisting the jargon makes it easier to violate common law.  I digress.

According to the 9th CCA because no other President has attempted to round up the tens of millions of illegal aliens, it must mean that detaining tens of millions of illegal aliens, while the govt processes them out, is unlawful.  In essence, it hasn’t been done, therefore it must be against the law.

[Page 5] …”That no Administration has ever found a duty mandatorily to detain unadmitted aliens present in the interior of the country is strong evidence that [such duty] does not exist.”….

Because Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama and Biden never detained illegal aliens, the Ninth CCA uses their failure to protect the nation as an affirmation that protecting the nation is not the goal of immigration law.

This is how far away from commonsense we have traveled in this bastardized lawfare judicial system.

U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer Testifies to Senate Finance Committee

It is exceptionally annoying to see the various members of the Senate stand in front of the microphones and discuss the importance of trade policy, while they sparsely attend testimony from U.S. Trade Representative Ambassador Jamieson Greer.

In the prompted segment below (I skipped the insufferable Wyden TDS), USTR Greer is asked about the timeline for the USMCA and notes he is going to Mexico immediately following the hearing.  WATCH:

The cognitive dissonance within the Democrats on the committee is stunning.

Senator Bennet worries the USA may lose its position as the world’s #1 exporter of food; at the same time, he waxes philosophically about the U.S. “affordability” of the same food.

Senator Whitehouse worries about the corporations getting the majority of the tariff reimbursements, while saying there’s no way that foreign countries offset the tariffs with subsidies – because that would mean the corporations are getting windfall massive tariff profits due to the Supreme Court…..  Which is EXACTLY what has happened, duh!

Folks, our legislative bodies are filled with idiots. We are not sending our best. lol

President Trump Says Announcement on Thursday is “Really Big News” About Election Integrity

President Trump was asked about his Thursday 9:00pm ET presidential address to the nation on “election integrity” and other matters.  President Trump responded today by saying the announcement is “really big news, it’s really, really big news, and our country has to shape up.”  WATCH:

The general chatter amid the various DC interests and specific subject matter experts who seemingly have information and knowledge of the matter suggests the content of the election integrity aspect will be to highlight how Chinese interests have worked within our body politic to influence U.S. elections.

There will likely be specific citations, particularly to election investigations in Michigan, but generally the international aspect revolves mostly around China with some ancillary information about Venezuela.  CCP organizations also have compromising information on members of congress which will likely be highlighted and raise eyebrows.

President Trump will be joined in the event by CIA Director John Ratcliffe, acting Director of National Intelligence Bill Pulte, FBI Director Kash Patel, Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin and others.  However, caution should be noted as newly appointed Special Government Employee John Solomon is responsible for the content.

Democrat Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear Optimistic He Will Get to Appoint Replacement to McConnell

The professionally Republican have been pretending to have 20-minute discussions with Senator Mitch McConnell in an effort to keep the Democrat governor of Kentucky, Andy Beshear, from appointing a replacement.

Beshear has now openly began to challenge the assertions of the professionally Republican team and demand proof of life and capability or he will replace McConnell.

WASHINGTON DC – Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said he is willing to launch a legal challenge to allow him to choose Mitch McConnell’s replacement if the senator cannot return to office.

Beshear, a Democrat, told MS NOW’s Politics Nation host Rev. Al Sharpton on Sunday that he “might make some news right here” while revealing the potential options he has as governor to replace the 84-year-old, whose health has been the subject of intense speculation for weeks.
