(VIA POLITICO) – Vice President JD Vance plans to escort Charlie Kirk’s body and his wife Erika, some of their family members and close friends aboard Air Force Two to Arizona on Thursday, according to a person familiar with the arrangements.
Vance and his wife Usha traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah, on Thursday to pay their respects and will continue to where Kirk lived in Phoenix. The Vances had been scheduled to attend a ceremony at Ground Zero in New York City commemorating the 24th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks.

The financial punditry are verklempt, puzzled and perplexed as the wholesale inflation rate calculated by the Bureau of Labor and Statistics Producer Price Index [DATA HERE] shows a drop in PPI of -0.1% for August.
Despite the pundits claiming the Trump tariffs were going to drive up prices, the data shows the manufacturers of products are absorbing the majority of the tariff costs, the importers are absorbing the remnants and the consumer prices are not reflecting the tariff. Go figure!
Exactly as expected, the wholesale price of tariffs are being offset by production cost reductions by the export dependent manufacturing companies overseas. This is exactly what took place in the first term, and the situation is duplicating even with higher tariff rates.
Export dependent nations are squeezing their own productivity, their governments are subsidizing the critical industries and the tariffs are being absorbed before they even leave the docks. This is the USA “rust belt” in reverse. The same scenario played out in the USA for decades as domestic manufacturers tried to retain U.S. industry. Now the foreign countries are experiencing their own economic squeeze.

In July, U.S. District Judge Maame Ewusi-Mensah Frimpong (Biden Appointee) ruled that ICE agents were conducting “roving patrols” within Los Angels and making arrests without “reasonable suspicion” that their targets were in the country illegally. Frimpong then prohibited immigration officials in the Los Angeles area from using race, location targeting, language, affiliations and other commonsense measures to stop and question suspected illegal aliens.
Today, in a 6-3 ruling the Supreme Court put a stay on the lower court order and essentially unrestricted the ICE and CBP officials so they can carry out their immigration enforcement efforts. The commission includes, White House faith adviser Paula White, talk show host and author Eric Metaxas and evangelist Franklin Graham, head of Samaritan’s Purse, along with other faith leaders like Cardinal Timothy Dolan of New York, Minnesota Bishop Robert Barron of the popular Word on Fire media ministry, Rabbi Meir Soloveichik of Congregation Shearith Israel in New York and talk show host Phil McGraw.
