President Donald Trump delivers a remarkable speech in Washington DC after severe weather forced a roughly two-hour evacuation of the National Mall. President Trump recognized our 250th anniversary as “one of the most joyous and glorious milestones of all time.”
Within the speech President Trump honored veterans from several generations of military service, including World War II veterans and one of the first Black officers to command a Special Forces team in combat during the Vietnam War. Then, the largest fireworks display ever took place.
I am very glad to see Secretary of State Marco Rubio dropping away from this “America is an idea” gibberish I keep hearing about. America is not an idea, it is a nation of people – unique, distinct and very visible.

We ask that You breath your purpose upon the ember of our national soul and ignite within us a thankfulness and appreciation for the blessings that You provide. May the ignition once again focus our stewardship and passion to live according to Your word, on this land which You have provided.
Father, direct Your favor to our thoughts of humility and purpose, so that we may stand bold, steadfast, diligent, honest and true in Your pure light and intent. Expand our heart to see Your gift, grasp its value and embrace this moment of reflection and renewal.
We ask Your blessings to remain as a shield for our nation; covered with Your wings of protection and purpose.
