Sunday Talks – French President Emmanuel Macron Outlines Intention of Recognizing Palestinian State

Below is the full interview between CBS’s Margaret Brennan and French President Emmanuel Macron. A portion of this interview aired on “Face the Nation”, however this is the complete interview.

Earlier today the U.K, Canada and Australia, 3 of the Five-Eyes western intelligence networks, announced their recognition of a Palestinian state.  France will announce the same tomorrow.  Israel is now slightly more vulnerable and in a diminished position of support from the western allied nations.  Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is more dependent on support from the U.S. than ever before.

President Macron is also facing significant domestic opposition, and his prior appointed Prime Ministers have failed and been removed. The French economy is struggling, and Macron has deflected attention to the Ukraine war in an effort to avoid domestic accountability.  With the Ukraine vs Russia conflict taking a lower profile, thanks in part to President Trump’s approach – demanding NATO/EU stop purchasing Russian energy products in order to gain U.S. support for increased sanctions, Macron now shifts attention to the Israel-Hamas war.  WATCH:

[Transcript] – MARGARET BRENNAN: Okay, Mr. President, if you’re ready, we’ll dive right in.

PRESIDENT EMMANUEL MACRON: Thank you.

MARGARET BRENNAN: Thank you for having us here. You know, most countries in the world recognize Palestinian statehood. It’s 147 of 193 countries at the UN, but France is going to be the first western UN Security Council member to do so. What conditions are there for this?

PRESIDENT MACRON: Look, thank you, and thank you for being here and offering me the opportunity to have such a discussion. I think it was a necessity first to decide this recognition, and I will announce it on the 22nd of September at the United Nations, precisely because we are at the very moment where if we want peace and security for all in the region, we have to preserve the condition of a political perspective for everybody. So we will announce the recognition, but which is the beginning of a political process and a peace and security plan for everybody. So right after this- this recognition, we have a first phase, which is, I would say, the emergency phase, ceasefire, release of all hostages..and third, restoring the humanitarian roads and the stabilization of Gaza. We have a second package, which is the day after we will revert on that how to organize Gaza in terms of governance, security and reconstruction. And third package, the perspective of the two states. But recognizing the Palestinian state today is the only way to provide a political solution to a situation which has to stop.

Prime Minister Mark Carney Announces Canadian Troops Will Be on Ground in Ukraine

Two significant shifts for Canadians appear to come out of the recent tour of Europe as highlighted today by Prime Minister Mark Carney.

The first development is the formal declaration that Canada has joined the “coalition of the willing”, along with the U.K, France and Germany.  The second announcement is that Canadian troops will join the coalition of the willing and put boots on the ground in Ukraine, as part of the coalition’s security guarantees for Ukraine.  WATCH: Prompted

President Trump Delivers Remarks With Prime Minister Mark Carney at Beginning of G7 Assembly

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney welcomes President Donald Trump at the beginning of the working sessions for the G7 assembly in Canada.

During the press availability President Trump notes the G7 used to be the G8, however following the Crimea referendum and President Putin’s response to accept the outcome of the vote, the NATO alliance led by President Barack Obama took Russia out of the group.  President Trump says he “agreed” with Putin’s reaction to the decision.

The G7 speak about Russia consistently at almost every meeting, without a willingness to listen to the voice or opinion of Russia in context to their protestations.  Quite simply it is easier for Italy, Canada, the U.K, France, Germany, Japan and the USA to exist inside an echo-chamber without having their multilateral arguments challenged.  President Trump does not fear the debate of ideas with Russia present in the room, another point of distinction between Trump and the assembly.

Wrong is wrong even if everybody does it; and right is right even if nobody does it. It takes strong confidence to assert a position counter to popular opinion, this is what makes President Donald Trump a transformative political influence.

In the background, President Vladimir Putin is undoubtedly paying attention.

France Asks Telegram to Censor Conservative Voices Ahead of Romanian Election – Durov Tells Macron to Go Spit

As we have outlined extensively, the stakes for Europe are high on many fronts.  The totalitarian leftists who control the European Union from Brussels have designated allies in key countries like Germany and France in their effort to retain control.  President Trump is only one threat to their collective assembly; President Putin represents another.

It is their underlying dependency that creates the symbiotic relationship between the EU, NATO, the United Kingdom, the CIA and the intelligence apparatus they deploy.  Ukraine is an example of their unified interests; the pending election in Romania is another.

Pavel Durov is the founder and creator of Telegram, a communication platform that fights to keep the global intelligence apparatus out of the speech dynamic.  Durov’s goals and objectives are solid and the political systems who control the intelligence apparatus do not like him at all.

Durov notes today that France (represented by the Baguette) has asked the platform to restrict the reach of conservative voices in Romania.  This is a similar pattern to how the U.S government (under Obama then Biden) did the same thing with Facebook, Instagram, Google and Twitter in the U.S. elections.  However, Durov tells France to get lost.

You might remember, it was France who previously arrested Pavel Durov for not complying with their demands to control information.

Zelenskyy and EU Allies Macron, Starmer, Merz and Tusk Unite Against President Trump Effort

The agenda behind Zelenskyy and his handlers is very clear, the EU need to keep distance between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin; so, they keep playing the narrative game around the pretense of a ‘ceasefire.’

Using his Twitter account today, the vertically challenged EU members led by Volodymyr Zelenskyy note, “if the Russians reject a full and unconditional ceasefire and an end to killings, tough sanctions must follow. Pressure on Russia must be maintained until Russia is ready to end the war.”

The picture Zelenskyy presents of Donald Tusk (Poland), Zelenskyy, Emmanuel Macron (France), Keir Starmer (UK) and Friedrich Merz (Germany), represents his “coalition of the willing.” The group who has pledged to send troops to Ukraine as part of a peacekeeping coalition, as long as the USA military backstops their presence against Russia.

If President Trump does not agree to position U.S. military as part of the coalition, then the “willingness” changes.  Hence, Friedrich Merz says “we must maintain good relations with the United States.”

French President Macron Asks EU and USA to Drop Sanctions Against Al-Qaeda in Syria

We have witnessed a lot of crazy in the past several years, but this just about takes the proverbial cake.

Current Syrian leader Ahmed al-Sharaa, was the leader of al-Qaeda in Syria and had a $10 million bounty on his head as a designated terrorist only a few months ago.  Today, French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed him to the presidential palace and called for the EU and USA to drop sanctions against the terrorist network.

PARIS — French President Emmanuel Macron called on the United States and the European Union to lift sanctions against Syria on Wednesday after hosting the Syrian leader Ahmed al-Sharaa on his first visit to Europe.

The French leader said Washington should “rush to lift sanctions,” maintain troops in Syria and then review the situation at a later date.

“The interest of all, including of the Americans, is today to act and accompany us in lifting sanctions on the Syrian people,” Macron said at a press conference alongside al-Sharaa.

Al-Sharaa, a former Al Qaeda member, has received a cautious welcome from the international community after his forces toppled brutal Syrian dictator Bashar Assad late last year.

French Business Leaders Reject President Macron’s Demand to Divest from USA

According to French media, quoting multiple corporate leaders and company directors throughout France [LINK], the leadership of France’s biggest companies told Macron to ‘get stuffed’ following the French president’s demand to divest their interests from America.

President Macron ordered 50 of the largest companies with positions in the USA to attend an emergency economic meeting at Elysée Palace. As reported by French media, “Some of us fell out of our chairs,” confided one of the 50 or so French business leaders invited.”

“We are not in an administered economy,” thunders the leader of an employers’ movement. And the CEO of a CAC 40 giant bluntly asserts: “I don’t give a damn about what Macron says. We have operations in the United States. There is no question of abandoning them just like that. We must respect our commitments to our employees, our customers and our shareholders. An opinion shared by a manager of a spirits producer: “It is out of the question to stop investing in the United States, especially in the current economic slump.” [link]

This type of reaction should not be surprising at it reflects the transparent disconnect between ideological government officials and generally pragmatic business leaders.  Macron can stomp his reactionary feet, but corporate leaders and company owners are focused on the purpose of their enterprise, profit.

Leading French Candidate Marine Le Pen Banned From Holding Public Office for Five Years

Marine Le Pen in France, Jair Bolsonaro in Brazil, Imran Khan in Pakistan, Matteo Salvini in Italy, Donald Trump in America, Calin Georgescu in Romania.  These are the latest populist candidates targeted by Lawfare in “democratic” nations and blocked from office.  Amid the group, only President Trump defeated the globalist alignment against him.

Marine Le Pen and 24 other officials were accused to paying staff for the National Rally party with EU commission funds intended to pay European Union parliamentary aides, a claimed violation of the European Union regulations.  Le Pen was a representative to the EU and is currently the leading candidate in France.

Marine Le Pen and her co-defendants were not accused of personally benefiting from the EU financial process and denied any wrongdoing as it related to paying staff and parliamentary aides.  However, a French court ruled she did pay for party staff with the wrong funds and her punishment is 2 years of house arrest and a five-year ban from office.

REUTERS – […] The court sentenced Le Pen to two years’ imprisonment under house arrest, but it was the political ramifications of ineligibility that dealt the biggest blow to her foreseeable political future.

Le Pen and 24 other officials from the National Rally were accused of having used money intended for EU parliamentary aides to pay staff who worked for the party between 2004 and 2016, in violation of the 27-nation bloc’s regulations. Le Pen and her co-defendants denied wrongdoing.
