Dear God, we lack the words.  As the Father of all that is good and pure, wrap Your embrace around this family at this intense time of sadness and grief.  You see this family who is suffering unbearable pain right now because of the loss of their beloved.  We pray for You to comfort and carry these precious people in their pain, loss, and sadness. Blanket them with Your love and peace. Their hearts are broken and their life in strongest turmoil, so humbly we pray that You can provide them peace and strength within their hearts.  We offer this prayer as they only now begin to navigate life without Charlie.  Let them find serenity in You, knowing Charlie is at peace in Your arms. Very sad update.  Charlie Kirk is dead.  The shooter has not been apprehended.

BREAKING.  Conservative pundit and leading voice of Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk was about 20 minutes into a presentation when he was shot, a spokesperson for Utah Valley University told NBC News.

The spokesperson said, to the best of the university’s knowledge, Kirk was hit and taken with his security team away from the premises, and the courtyard was cleared. Video from Twitter below:

Kirk was sat in a tent with the “American Comeback Tour” logo when a shot is heard and Kirk physically recoils, slumping down in his seat. Blood is seen flowing down from his neck and the crowd audibly panics and begins to run.

The financial punditry are verklempt, puzzled and perplexed as the wholesale inflation rate calculated by the Bureau of Labor and Statistics Producer Price Index [DATA HERE] shows a drop in PPI of -0.1% for August.

Despite the pundits claiming the Trump tariffs were going to drive up prices, the data shows the manufacturers of products are absorbing the majority of the tariff costs, the importers are absorbing the remnants and the consumer prices are not reflecting the tariff.  Go figure!

Exactly as expected, the wholesale price of tariffs are being offset by production cost reductions by the export dependent manufacturing companies overseas.  This is exactly what took place in the first term, and the situation is duplicating even with higher tariff rates.

Export dependent nations are squeezing their own productivity, their governments are subsidizing the critical industries and the tariffs are being absorbed before they even leave the docks.   This is the USA “rust belt” in reverse.  The same scenario played out in the USA for decades as domestic manufacturers tried to retain U.S. industry.  Now the foreign countries are experiencing their own economic squeeze.

The U.S Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina, Russ Ferguson, and James C. Barnacle, Jr., Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Charlotte Division hold a press conference to outline federal charges against Decarlos Dejuan Brown, Jr. in the brutal murder of Iryna Zarutska.

Both Agent James Barnacle and U.S. Attorney Russ Ferguson were emotional at times as they delivered their statements to the media and announced the federal charges. WATCH:

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A federal criminal complaint was filed in U.S. District Court in Charlotte today, charging a Charlotte man with a federal crime in connection with the fatal attack of Iryna Zarutska on the city’s light rail system, announced Russ Ferguson, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina. Decarlos Dejuan Brown, Jr., 34, is charged with one count of committing an act causing death on a mass transportation system.

James C. Barnacle, Jr., Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Charlotte Division, joins U.S. Attorney Ferguson in making today’s announcement.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent noted, when you add the previous Biden revision of -577,000 to the current revision of -911,000 the Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS) had overreported Biden’s job growth by almost 1.5 million jobs.

The BLS reports today [SEE DATA HERE] an annual revision of 911,000 fewer jobs that previously reported.  These further puts President Trump’s decision to fire the head of the BLS into context.
