On Saturday, Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser announced an emergency order, with a city-wide curfew for anyone under 18, beginning Saturday night.
The curfew will go into effect at 11pm Nov. 1, through 6am the next morning, and will continue nightly until Nov. 5. The order gives Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela Smith the power to identify “high risk” areas in the city, where she can begin the curfew as early as 6pm.

The emergency action by the DC Mayor is in response to chaos in the streets in/around the Navy Yard area where five teens were arrested and the National Guard were forced to break up several fights and try to restore law and order.

Bowser’s Emergency Order will also allow Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela Smith to designate parts of the city as “high risk for disorderly conduct by youths,” allowing her to implement a curfew as early as 6 p.m. Smith will also be able to declare an area as a curfew zone in areas where eight or more juveniles have or may soon gather. I thought they’d all be dropping dead of starvation, now that their SNAP has been cut off. All that wilding uses up calories that would be better spent on their physics homework, or their volunteer jobs at the nursing home…
BTW, any guesses on how many of these young thugs are on SNAP, welfare, Medicaid, section 8, utilities subsidies, etc?

When I lived in the area, that area by Navy Yard wasn’t someplace to be in after dark. But I thought after they built the stadium there it might have improved some. Guess not.
Dem DC was / is any easy target because there are so many wealthy Dems and RINOs in North West and South West DC. Also Capitol Hill and now farther into SE and NE DC.
I live about 15 miles south of Baltimore in a Blue Collar area and about 25 miles from DC. The area is manly Commie Dem but people are not vocal about it.
Dem Baltimore is way worse + tougher than Dem DC but it’s not as much of target. There are far less rich Dems and Pubs of any kind are rare unless you venture into Dundalk or Brooklyn. Many Inner City businesses have closed due to Freddy Gray, increased violence/ crime and the China Virus. Even the Inner Harbor is a ghost town during the week. A good number of businesses have closed in nearby Little Italy and the ones that are still in business have severely limited their days and hours of operation.
Why bother to look. You know what you’ll see. It’s not all of them but it’s always them.™
