Facing serial accusations with multiple victims alleging sexual assault and rape, California Representative Eric Swalwell has announced he is dropping out of the California governor’s race.
Swalwell did not announce an exit from Washington DC, or a resignation from his position as congressman. Therefore, it would appear that rape and sexual assault are disqualifiers for Governor, but for a DC Democrat congressman, deviant and exploitative conduct is standard.

One of the most critical European elections is happening today as Hungarian nationalists face down the influence of the European Union. The stakes are exceptionally high for the entire continent and every control mechanism from the EU has been deployed to shape the outcome. For the EU collective and all those who are yearning for a war against Russia, this is a zero-sum contest.
If Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban (Fidesz party) wins the nationalists will have fended off the Brussels coalition. If challenger Peter Magyar (Tisza party) wins, the EU will claim victory and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will cheer. The Ukraine meat grinder awaits fuel or starvation.
In the USA the anti-Trump media are desperate to paint a Viktor Orban defeat as a precursor to prove Donald Trump no longer holds political influence. Every USA media outlet is all-in to weaponize the outcome.
The vote count will begin immediately after polls close at 7pm local / 1pm ET (USA), with preliminary results likely to be published from around 8pm local / 2pm ET (USA). NOTE: Not all votes will be included in the initial election day figures. Ballots cast abroad or submitted via transfer voting may take up to four days to arrive. These votes will later be sorted by constituency and distributed to local election offices, where they will be counted on the Friday or Saturday following election day. With a critical Hungarian election coming up on April 12th, Vice President JD Vance travels to Hungary to show support from the Trump administration for Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
In the background Hungary is under a great deal of pressure from the European Union for Orban’s resistance to expanded conflict with Russia. The various left-wing European media claim that Prime Minister Orban is a friend to Russian President Vladimir Putin, and the political/intelligence operations of Ukraine have aligned with the EU to target Viktor Orban for removal.

What I find interesting, within the inside baseball aspect of this political endorsement, is that Steve Hilton never even discussed getting a President Trump endorsement with him. If the remarks Hilton made to Politico are correct, there was never a discussion of the race with President Trump.
Either President Trump was just independently interested in the California primary contest, or someone put the primary into the conversational surrounding of President Trump.

In a rather stunning outline by the New York Times [SEE HERE] the progressive outlet is reporting of serious concerns within the leadership of ActBlue related to their willfully blind reception of foreign sources of money to fund Democrat candidates.
The remarkable aspect is not just that ActBlue takes foreign funds, but rather the New York Times revealing internal legal discussions about it. According to the Times reporting, the Eric Holder law firm Covington & Burling, the primary legal mechanism for the ActBlue/DNC machinery, lies at the heart of the matter.
(NYT) […] The firm concluded that ActBlue’s chief executive had given a potentially misleading response to congressional Republican investigators in a 2023 letter explaining how the organization vetted donations to ensure that they were not illegally coming from foreign citizens.
The letter from the chief executive, Regina Wallace-Jones, said ActBlue carried out “multilayered” screenings of contributions that helped “root out” those from overseas. In fact, the law firm found, some of the steps she had described were not always followed.
“This presents a substantial risk for ActBlue,” the law firm, Covington & Burling, wrote in one of two memos expressing legal concerns. One memo raised the specter of a criminal investigation if prosecutors believed that ActBlue had tried to conceal facts about its efforts to prevent foreign contributions. (source)
To really appreciate the scheme that seems to be outlined by the internal documents, it is worth remembering that James O’Keefe previously did some boots on the ground research into ActBlue [SEE HERE – 2023] and found that multiple, perhaps thousands, of “donor” names and addresses were assigned to contributions the donors said they never made.
According to Politico, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton was spotted in Mar-a-Lago last Friday talking face-to-face with President Trump.
With the base and President Trump still leveraging everything possible for the SAVE America Act, President Trump seems unlikely to endorse John Cornyn or Ken Paxton until the dust on that issue settles.
The only way Senator John Cornyn can survive the primary challenge from Paxton is if President Trump endorses the incumbent. If President Trump stays out of the race, Ken Paxton looks likely to achieve victory. Surprisingly, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSCC) has not spent more money on Cornyn, another good sign.

Trump and Paxton were on the patio, one source added, with another saying the two discussed the runoff. “It was a positive meeting,” said yet another person. A Paxton spokesperson declined to comment on the meeting.
It’s the latest sign of a fierce and feverish effort to keep Trump from endorsing Cornyn.

Boasberg ruled today that taxpayer funds used by the Federal Reserve to indulge themselves are exempt from investigative review. President Trump is again urging the Senate to pass the Save America voting act that is a core element of restoring voter integrity in U.S. elections. In his Truth Social post, President Trump notes he will not sign other legislation until the Save America Act reaches his desk.

This is a pretty solid position by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton who is offering to drop out of the Texas senate race if John Thune and John Cornyn will stop blocking President Trump, eliminate the filibuster and pass the SAVE Act.
Paxton gets a pass at calling Cornyn a “coward,” as the slight is negligible considering the selflessness within the offer. Paxton is a patriot and this is a solid alternative that boosts President Trump.
