This is a pretty solid position by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton who is offering to drop out of the Texas senate race if John Thune and John Cornyn will stop blocking President Trump, eliminate the filibuster and pass the SAVE Act.
Paxton gets a pass at calling Cornyn a “coward,” as the slight is negligible considering the selflessness within the offer. Paxton is a patriot and this is a solid alternative that boosts President Trump.

Everyone seems to think Cornyn will win in the general if he wins or is given the primary by President Trump. The democrats showed up big time for the primary. Many Texan Republicans will not vote for Cornyn, if the democrats see blood in the water they will throw everything they have into this Texas senate race. Texans do not like deals made with their votes and their vote for Paxton taken away from them.
I think if POTUS endorses Cronyn, it will only be because he’s gonna put Paxton in as Attorney General. Now THAT would get the DC swamp waters boiling!
I would love to see Paxton as AG but using Texas voters against their will can backfire big time.

The large cities in Texas have been occupied by the dims/commies and control the “elections” here in Texas… That is where cornyn gets his votes… Plus a few counties out in West Texas and the Panhandle always vote for cornyn… (Don’t ask me why, I have never been able to figger it out)

Sadly, even if Thune passes the SAVE Act (He won’t, but let’s pretend) the dem jurisdictions will ignore it. My prediction is that Thune will promise to pass the Save Act if Trump endorses Cronyman, Trump does, Thune delays until after the midterms hoping the dems retake the majority. Just watch.

Fast forward thousands of years. Two men in a contentious race for the US Senate both claim to be the true MAGA candidate. The US President declares he will endorse one of the men and ask the other one to step down from the race. One of the contenders stepped forward and said “I will step down but only if the Senate will agree to abolish the filibuster and pass the SAVE Act” – an action that would save the Republic. The other contender was silent.

My impression is Thune is operating in cahoots with Schumer – Schumer won’t fund DHS so Thune can say he can’t turn the floor over for a filibuster on the SAVE act while DHS is unfunded. It’s way too convenient for both of them and they certainly are both traitorous enough to believe they’d do it

Trusting those we can not trust is probably not a good idea. I would make Thune fulfill that first. Especially since we know he can not be trusted and has done a terrible job in getting Trump’s nominees through.
I personally don’t like this…..making deals with the enemy. Trump says he will not do that with an enemy over seas…….but looks like he is willing to that here in our own country that we still do not have back in our control…..We the People!

If Paxton falling on the sword to get the Save Act passed then I will vote for Cornyn who I despise ( the Dems 60th man) in honor of Paxton, we cant stay home and let the idiot Dem win and a Texas Senate seat get flipped, and I will never stop reminding Cornyn forget it was Paxton who got him elected. Paxton may have to wait 6 years but would be a Texas and MAGA hero who could surely get elected in 2032.

John Cornyn in 2023: It’s time for the Republican Party to move on from President Trump, he’s “irrelevant” and can’t win.
There have been comments about writing in Ken Paxton’s name for senator from Texas in the general election.
If you do so, your vote will not be counted. Here is some Texas election law:

“A person who was a candidate for office in the primary election is ineligible for a place on the list of write-in candidates for that same office in the succeeding general election for state and county officers. [Sec. 162.015]”
Write-in votes are not counted in Texas elections unless such candidate’s name appears on the list of candidates who have properly filed the papers with the TX Sec’y of State and are not out of compliance with the law as stated above.
Do not get hopeful and try to encourage people to write in Paxton’s name. It won’t work.

As a reward, boot Bondi’s ass down the road and put Paxton in charge. We need serious men to accomplish serious goals.
