Unfortunately this was predictable in the extreme.  Today Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, stated unequivocally he is refusing to support the republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

During an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Speaker Ryan went on to say Donald Trump needs to come to him and seek his approval/permission for his nomination.  Yes, in a varied bunch of political parseltongue words, this is exactly what Paul Ryan said.
The arrogance is gobsmacking.  Watch the interview:

Ryan’s arrogant attitude might seem remarkable given the landslide electoral victories, delivered by the voters, to support Donald Trump – who, it should be noted, is on pace to win the republican nomination with a larger vote total than any candidate in republican history.
Adding to the pontificating arrogance factor is the reality that candidate Trump actually won the hometown vote of Speaker Ryan’s own constituency in Janesville Wisconsin. However, when you consider that Wall Street is funding the legislative priorities carried out by Speaker Ryan and his anti-American trade agenda things begin to make more sense.

Wall Street, via K-Street lobbyists associated with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, have poured millions of dollars into Ryan’s leadership PAC. In return Paul Ryan wrote the legislative vehicle Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) to gain passage for the Trans-Pacific Trade Partnership (TPP).
Presumptive Republican Nominee, Donald Trump, directly opposes the trade usurpation and has vowed to ensure its demise. In addition to diametrically opposing views and legislative positions on immigration, a temporary muslim ban, common core educational standards and Obamacare, Ryan and Trump were always on a path of opposition.
The U.S. CoC supports and has paid for Ryan’s legislative priorities, Donald Trump directly refutes those exact same constructs. That’s the real framework for the grandiose pontifications today from a House Speaker directly in opposition to the will of the electorate – even in his own hometown. That’s the same reason for the rise in opposition now situated with a primary challenge brought by businessman Paul Nehlen.
Ryan Boehner 2Paul Ryan, like speaker Boehner before him, is part of the professional UniParty agenda. Together with minority democrats Ryan has advanced, and funded, every aspect of President Obama’s overall agenda. Ultimately, this synergy between Democrats, Republicans and the White House is what’s called the UniParty in DC. A singular oppositional force entirely against the will of the majority electorate outside of the DC beltway.
In no small way, the clash between Ryan and Trump is the clash between the GOPe and the mainstream ‘common sense’ electorate. If it were not for the shenanigans represented by the UniParty and the Republican leadership one could easy say there would never have been a Donald Trump candidacy. So this head-to-head challenge is ultimately unavoidable.
Thanks entirely to the UniParty President Obama has never had a single day in office with a federal budget. The last federal budget was signed into law in September of 2007 by George W Bush. Speaker Ryan passed the most recent Omnibus spending bill to avoid the concern with a federal budget, and recently announced he would not attempt to organize a fiscal year 2017 budget. That’s an entire decade without a federal budget.
However, all of that said, the arrogance of Ryan on display today still exhibits as a stunning reminder of how fully usurped the entire republican party has become, and how they are fully beholden to the interests of their Wall Street financiers. Espousing an opinion that Donald Trump needs to come to the usurping agents and request permission to enter their club is the epitome of the mindset infecting the body politic in Washington DC.

Update:  Candidate Donald Trump Responds:

Just a Reminder, this is an insurgency. – The modern enemy of Wall Street is Main Street vulgarians. The enemy of the RNC/GOPe is not Democrats, it’s Grassroots Conservatives, more vulgarians.
The Republican Party, and the Republican media apparatus, view us as their enemy. We are the enemy they need to protect themselves from:

In 2014, the RNC approved selection rules that govern how each state’s delegates are portioned out from the primaries. Under one of the changes, states holding their primaries between March 1 and March 14 will have their delegates doled out proportionately with election results, a change that will likely stymie a movement candidate.

States that have primaries on or after March 15 will be winner-take-all states.
That’s important because another RNC rule change requires that a candidate must win a majority of delegates in eight or more states before his or her name may be presented for nomination at the 2016 Republican National Convention.

With 18 GOP presidential candidates, for now, it will be that much harder for any candidate to win a majority in any state, let alone eight. (Article July 2015)

GOP-versus-Tea-PartyNow, ask yourself, why would the RNC want to “stymie a movement candidate“? Who exactly does that benefit? Obviously, the “non-movement” candidate, ie “the turtle“.
Isn’t the entire reason for campaigning in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina etc. to make a movement/momentum?
In addition Rule #40 changed in 2014 from previously five needed state wins, to a newer threshold of eight (8):

Officially, it’s Rule 40 in the RNC handbook and it states that any candidate for president “shall demonstrate the support of a majority of the delegates from each of eight (8) or more states” before their name is presented for nomination at the national convention. (article March 2014)

Again, ask yourself who does this benefit? A candidate can win seven states outright, and still not have their name presented for nomination?
These rules were made/affirmed in 2014 – Who or what exactly was the GOP concerned about blocking in 2016 that would necessitate such rules? When combined with other rule changes you can clearly identify a consolidation of power within the RNC apparatus intentionally constructed to stop the candidate of the GRASSROOTS from achieving victory.

It’s all part of their GOPe Roadmap.
