Secretary of State Marco Rubio Gives Context and Next Steps to Current Ukraine Peace Negotiations

Secretary of State and National Security Advisor, Marco Rubio, continues to play a key role in both diplomacy and strategy for the goals and policies of President Trump.

Rubio was present for every moment of both the summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.  Rubio outlines in this interview the goals and objectives of the next steps.  As the EU assembles the outlines for security guarantees to protect Ukraine moving forward, President Trump is organizing a bilateral meeting between Putin and Zelenskyy.

Hopefully, the Trump administration can set the table for Zelenskyy and Putin to come to terms and stop the war.  If they can agree to terms, President Trump will then coordinate a trilateral meeting between Putin, Zelenskyy and Trump to sign a peace deal – complete with the security guarantee package provided by the Europeans.  WATCH:

Complicated Business – Secretary of State Marco Rubio Outlines Big Picture Issues of Ukraine -v- Russia Conflict

Secretary of State Marco Rubio appears with Maria Bartiromo to discuss the big picture of what is possible and what challenges remain as President Trump tries to negotiate a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia.

Keep in mind as we watch all these interviews by Rubio, it was only about six months ago when the U.S Secretary of State admitted the Ukraine conflict was a proxy war between the U.S and Russia.  With President Trump extracting the U.S. from that entanglement, NATO and the EU have stepped in to retain the conflict. Secretary Marco Rubio -vs- Margaret Brennan

Secretary of State Marco Rubio appears on CBS to debate the ever-insufferable Margaret Brennan. The dramatic acting by the newscaster is off-the-charts.  Both the video and the transcript are below.

.

[Transcript] – MARGARET BRENNAN: We begin with Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, who attended those talks in Anchorage. Good morning to you, Mr. Secretary.

SECRETARY OF STATE MARCO RUBIO: Good morning. Thank you.

MARGARET BRENNAN: Vladimir Putin did not give President Trump the ceasefire he sought. And now Putin says the root causes of the conflict have to be resolved in a peace agreement. Isn’t the root cause the fact that Russia invaded in the first place?

Secretary of State Marco Rubio Discusses Potential for President Trump and President Putin Meeting

Secretary of State Marco Rubio appears for an interview with Larry Kudlow to discuss the recent reporting around a potential meeting between President Trump and President Putin.

As Rubio notes, following the recent Moscow visit by Steve Witkoff, there is now great clarity on the terms and conditions for Russia to enter a ceasefire period.  President Trump has reportedly told EU officials he will likely pick-up the ceasefire negotiations soon via a face-to-face meeting with Putin.  WATCH:

At the White House event with Apple CEO Tim Cook, President Trump said that “there’s a really good prospect that” there will be a meeting with Zelenskyy and Putin. But he disagreed with the suggestion it amounted to a “breakthrough.”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio notes in the interview here, “an opportunity will present itself very soon for the president to meet both with Vladimir Putin and with President Zelenskyy at some point here, hopefully in the near future.” Rubio added “a lot has to happen before that can occur.”

President Trump Appears Frustrated About Continued Jeffrey Epstein Questions

I’ll put the entire cabinet meeting in another post.  It is interesting that RFK Jr. was not present (?).

For this outline, let’s focus on the issue that is exploding the MAGA and anti-MAGA universe on social media right now. President Trump and Pam Bondi’s response to a question about Jeffrey Epstein and the controversial DOJ/FBI memo that now states there is no “third party” or “client list” connected to the Epstein sex trafficking.

Obviously, President Trump is not happy with attention focused on the Epstein issues.  The most likely reason for the frustration expressed is simply that President Trump is unaware how much the Epstein issues are -and have been- part of the background focus within the base of his support.  Here’s the segment. WATCH:

First, kudos to Marco Rubio for his stone faced and remarkably unaffected disposition within the exchange.  It takes time and experience to remain stoic at this level.  Exceptional control.

Second, everyone here has a reasonable BS detector – meaning we can tell when a person is not telling the truth.  It is transparently obvious AG Pam Bondi is extremely uncomfortable with the Epstein issue, and her responses indicate she is not being honest or forthright.  You could say, she’s lying; however, the facts of her presentation are a little more complicated.

The main issue around Bondi’s less-than-fulsome response is the motive.  Is she lying because she’s just grossly incompetent about the issue, or is she lying because she is nefarious in her intent.  The Occam’s Razor answer to her obvious parseltongue is a combination of both.

State Dept Revokes Visas Needed for U.S. Tour After British Punk/Rap Group Advocate for Islamic Terrorism

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has pushed America-First, anti-terrorism, law and order into the center of the tourist visitor filter. Unstable extremists need not apply for visas to enter the USA, and anyone creating a social disturbance is subject to visa cancellation.

This is the same standard of behavior that is applied by all other countries for U.S. tourists in foreign visits; however, as Marco Rubio and the U.S. State Department enforce this expectation the domestic extremists and agitators are extremely agitated.

The latest example comes from a British punk/rap duo who decry American colonialism, profess severe antisemitism and promotion of violence. Recently, during a music festival in Britain, singer Bobby Vylan shouted, “Death, death to the IDF,” several times before turning the microphone toward the crowd to get attendees to repeat the chant. The IDF is the national military of Israel. Additionally, Vylan shouted “Free, Free, Free Palestine,” and again, had some in the crowd repeat what he said.

The State Dept has now cancelled their entry visa for their U.S. tour.

(Via Politico) – The State Department has revoked visas for a London-based punk duo set to tour the U.S. in October after the band led a crowd of festival-goers in England in calling for the death of the Israeli military over the weekend.
