Quick search…it surrounded Marco Rubio’s criticism of China’s treatment of the Uyghur population and other human rights violations while he was a senator. Apparently they tweaked how his name is spelled in Chinese to allow entry into the country.
Allow me to expand on your caption: China blacklisted him, sanctioned him, blocked him … unleashed a lethal virus into the world to destabilize his presidency; worked with Biden Democrats to flood key districts with fake ballots to remove him from office; bribed, blackmailed, and bullied American influencers to remove him from office and try to kill him … AND THEN Chairman Xi ended up having to shake his hand, because Donald J Trump rose again, neutralized the totalitarian leader’s proxies, cut off his oil, tossed sand into the gears of his Belt and Road initiative, and threw his BRICS experiment into disarray.
