Short Term FISA (702) Extension Fails in House – Strangely Specific Concern from Democrat Leadership

Keep in mind the FISA (702) extension already passed the House, and the bill is sitting in the Senate where the ever-predictable John Thune is not bringing it up for a vote.

This morning the House tried to pass a short-term FISA (702) extension for three weeks (ending July 2). The measure failed by a vote of 218 to 198.  In addition to Democrats, nineteen republicans also voted against it.

The Democrats are claiming their lack of support surrounds the appointment of Bill Pulte as Acting DNI effective June 19, and their concern that Pulte will weaponize the FISA (702) authority to conduct political surveillance.  Yes, it’s a rather hypocritical projection within their claim.

[SOURCE]

Now, you might ask yourself…. where in the world would the Democrats get the idea that FISA (702) would be used to get “dirt on President Trump’s political enemies.”   What would lead them to that suspicion?

As customary, the radical leftists are projecting based on their own conduct.  This is the same “702” authority that Barack Obama and Joe Biden previously used to do exactly that political surveillance.  We have outlined the entire operation in granular detail citing all of the FISA records that showed exactly what the Obama-Biden group were doing.

Three Days After Prime Minister Starmer Pledges to Lead New Ukraine Military Effort, British Defense Minister Resigns

A few days ago, the ‘coalition of the willing’ (Starmer, Merz, Macron and Zelenskyy) met in London to hammer out the latest words on paper, a new military pledge to support Ukraine against Russia.

Both British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and King Charles III agreed to a renewed military effort that included British armed forces securing Ukraine territory according to their plan.

Three days later, British Defense Minister John Healey resigns, citing insufficient funding of military.  Seriously folks, you cannot make this up.  This comes on the heels of the U.K. borrowing ships from Germany in order to participate in NATO exercises led by the U.K.

LONDON – UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer suffered a fresh blow on Thursday after Secretary of Defense John Healey resigned over a budget dispute, saying the government is not willing to give the British Armed Forces the “resources they need.”

President Trump Navigates Speaker Mike Johnson on FISA Reauthorization

In the bigger picture, it is very likely that congress will reauthorize FISA (702) surveillance because not doing so is against their interests. That reality creates an unusual dynamic where President Trump can leverage the inevitable outcome for his own political benefit.

PRESIDENT TRUMP – “Just like they did on Border Funding, the Radical Left Dumocrats are trying to take our National Security hostage because of unrelated issues. They should stop playing politics with the safety of our Great Country.

I have named William Pulte to be Acting Director of National Intelligence, who will take over on June 19th, and have asked him to execute the immediate and needed downsizing of the office, reverting staff to their home agencies. At the same time, I am looking for a permanent ODNI Nominee with experience in National Security.

FISA 702 is very important to our Military, and keeping the American People safe, especially during the World Cup and America250 Celebrations. If nothing is done, this important Law will expire this week. I am asking Congress to send me a short-term extension of FISA to provide time for the selection and confirmation of a permanent Head of the Agency. I would like to thank Director Pulte for his time and commitment.” ~ President DONALD J. TRUMP

The Legislative Branch is opposing FISA (702) renewal by using opposition as a narrative to enhance their “orange man bad” credentials.   Their opposition is fake.  In non-pretending reality we understand the Legislative Branch both wants and controls the dynamics around FISA (702).

The Irish, Scots and English are at The End of the “first follower” phase in Cultural Survival

When the systems of a ‘law and order’ society find no intention, benefit or reasonable expectation of safety from their established construct of government -generally driven by an intentional willingness to ignore the demands of the citizens those officials are expected to represent- eventually people take matters into their own hands.

It is fair to call this the end of the “first follower” phase.

It began when a singular voice stood boldly in righteous opposition to the violence. This person was watched by many.

Then, when that person, the original opponent to the violence is met with brutal isolation and retaliation, a first follower surfaces.

The first follower is the individual who stands up in anger against the retaliation they have witnessed against the singular voice.

This is the key moment when you can guarantee something is about to change.

The crowd watches the first follower, only at this very consequential inflection point -having watched the previous retaliation- the crowd are now invested emotionally in the outcome of what happens to the ‘first follower.’

The crowd will not accept the same outcome for the first follower. They are in a different mindset, a different frame of mind.  Perspectives are completely different in this phase.

Events in Europe are at the extreme side of the first follower phase. However, events in the United States are not far behind. In fact, the reason we are watching events in Europe with such deliberate attention is entirely because our proximity to the violence at hand is not determined by miles; rather, it is determined by mindset.

Mary McCord Resurfaces Defending SPLC Following Invitation from Congress

The House Judiciary Committee held a hearing today on the topic of the Southern Poverty Law Center, operating a program to fund, organize and stimulate racist activity, just so the SPLC could fight against racism and fundraise over it.

Amid the panel of voices presented to discuss the issue is the familiar Lawfare operative, Mary McCord.  It makes sense for McCord to get invited by the HJC because McCord was lead staff for the HJC (Nadler/Schiff) during the impeachment effort.  The relationship between Mary McCord and the HJC is lengthy.

McCord noted that law enforcement agencies routinely pay for operatives to infiltrate organizations in order to target them, so congress should not be too concerned with the SPLC funding white racists for the same purpose.  What McCord carefully avoided, was noting how the SPLC is neither a law enforcement entity nor an investigative agency of the government.

I have not had time to watch the entire hearing, and I will provide more depth of review over the next few days once I have watched all of the discussion.  In the interim, these hearings are usually ‘chaff and countermeasures.’

Perfect – President Trump Doubles Down, Bill Pulte Will Takeover as Acting DNI on June 19th

Articulate focus with specific intent can pay dividends.  Sorry for my absence earlier today. I can confirm the first sentence, between the commas.

Against the backdrop of threats from various legislative branch members, President Donald Trump has doubled down and firmly announced that Bill Pulte will take the position of Acting DNI effective June 19th ( 😂 aka ‘Juneteenth’).

Delivering the message from his Truth Social account, President Trump has extended his plenary power and put Congress back into the position they hold in government.   If Congress wants FISA (702), then reauthorize it.  If they don’t want it, then don’t reauthorize it.  The issue matters not to the overall national security dynamic.

Kash Patel better prepare to get busy.  It’s time to put up or shut up.  If the FBI carries out a false flag operation (they’d be stupid), or if the CIA attempts to undermine the domestic national security front (they won’t), there is going to be an intense response from Trump and Pulte.

Great job President Donald Trump!

FISA (702) is NOT President Trump’s Problem to Solve

After reading the umpteenth article [example here] from congressional voices talking about what President Trump needs to do in order for the legislative branch to reauthorize FISA (702), it’s worth reminding everyone how we accept goofy just because goofy has become the norm.

The FISA (702) issue belongs entirely to the legislative branch. It is their work product. It is their enacted law, albeit with an expiration date.  The executive branch has nothing to do with the law.  If congress doesn’t reauthorize a law they have enacted, that’s on the legislative branch – not the executive branch.

The legislative branch enacted a law; it could be unconstitutional and has never been tested in the Supreme Court.  However, it is their law.  If the same legislative branch allows the law to expire, that’s entirely their choice.  The executive branch can do nothing to reauthorize a law that is entirely in the purview of the legislative branch.

President Trump should not accept the legislative branch dysfunction as if it is his problem to solve.  It’s not his monkey.

Somehow the baseline of responsibility has been permitted to shift from the Legislative Branch to the Executive Branch, and the media are apparently clueless about how the separation of powers actually functions.  Even if the Executive Branch wanted to reauthorize it, they can’t.

Somewhere in our modern discussions of things, we have lost sight of the roles and responsibilities within government.

EU Coalition of the Willing Establishes Five Terms for Direct Ukraine-Russia Negotiations

Chancellor Friedrich Merz, President Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister Kier Starmer and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met in London to discuss their collective next steps in their plan for opposition to Russia.

Politico is reporting that Germany is going to replace the United States as the direct contact for negotiations with Russia; that’s according to a spokesperson for Merz. However, if you read the actual printout from their collective agreement there is nothing of the sort mentioned [SEE HERE].

Instead, what actually exists within the statement are five terms they have agreed upon in order to start direct discussions between Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin.  At least two of the terms are non-starters for Russia:

[…] Conditions that would need to be in place for a just and lasting peace.

    • First, a stop to the fighting. They called on President Putin to agree to an immediate and complete ceasefire.
    • Second, the current line of contact should be the starting point for negotiations. International borders must not be changed by force, and Ukraine’s sovereign right to choose its own security arrangements and alliances must be fully respected.
    • Third, Ukraine must have robust and legally binding security guarantees in place once a ceasefire enters into force, building on commitments made in Berlin in December 2025 and Paris in January 2026. This includes the deployment of the Multinational Force – Ukraine.
    • Fourth, Russian assets will remain immobilised until Russia ceases its war of aggression and compensates Ukraine for the damage caused by the war.
    • Fifth, that European security interests must be safeguarded in any deal.  Elements of any negotiation related to the EU and NATO would need the consent of the EU and its Member States and NATO Allies respectively.

The #3, #4 and #5 points are not going to go anywhere.

Spencer Pratt Loses – Following Stunning Surge in Mail-in Ballots Nithya Raman Jumps into 2nd Place in LA Mayor Race

LA Mayoral Candidate Spencer Pratt has dropped to third place and will not make the runoff.  Leftist city council member Nithya Raman, who previously conceded defeat, has now leaped into second place after winning approximately 40% of all mail-in ballots received in the past few days.  A stunning, remarkable, incredible and some say unbelievable outcome.

There are still several days of ballot counting ahead.  After all, the creation of ballots takes time and resources, and as noted by several people in/around the LA area, locally sourced, artisanal ballots can take much longer to be grown and curated.

With an estimated 83% of the post-election ballots now received, Nithya Raman’s concession is null and void.  Her campaign must wipe away the tears and restart efforts toward the general election. Remarkable.

What a difference a week can make.  However, that said, this California ballot approach has been happening since election year 2018.

Remember, in 2016 California Democrats hired former U.S. AG Eric Holder to assist them with voting constructs.  The legislature then passed ballot harvesting and universal mail ballot laws; which were signed by Democrat governor Jerry Brown.  However, the 2016 presidential election created some panic amid those who organized new ballot creation, mailing and harvesting efforts.

Following the Trump presidential win and fearing a new administration might cross reference the voter rolls to the AB60 laws that linked the ballot creation to illegal alien DMV registration; following the advice of Eric Holder, Governor Brown, Attorney General Xavier Becerra and Secretary of State Alex Padilla quickly deleted the AB60 administrative code that would have permitted cross referencing.

House Intel Ranking Member Jim Himes Anticipating Political Benefit of Terrorist Attack Following FISA (702) Expiration

Representative Jim Himes is the ranking Democrat on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI).  During an interview on Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan, Himes looks forward to the political benefit he predicts following terrorist attacks inside the USA as soon as the FISA (702) program expires next Friday.

Elimination of FISA (702) authority is not a bad outcome; in fact, many of us want that outcome because FISA (702) is warrantless surveillance of American citizens.  However, watching Himes be gleeful at the possibility of terrorist attacks resulting from FISA (702) expiring, is, well, a little weird.

In the non-pretending world, we fully understand a terrorist attack is highly unlikely. However, if there was a terrorist attack, it would likely originate from our own intelligence community organizing it in an effort to get FISA (702) authorized again.  It’s far more likely the FBI would be motivated to create a false flag, than the odds of an actual terrorist attack.

[TRANSCRIPT] –  MARGARET BRENNAN: We turn now to the top Democrat on the Intelligence Committee, Representative Jim Himes, who joins us this morning from Greenwich, Connecticut. Welcome back to Face the Nation.

REP. JIM HIMES: Good to be with you, Margaret.

MARGARET BRENNAN: Congressman, President Trump appointed the Federal Housing Finance Agency head, Bill Pulte, to be the next Director of National Intelligence. The President said it is temporary, but even in that acting role, he could stay in it for over 200 days, and it would bypass Congressional approval. Pulte himself was Senate-confirmed for the housing job. Three Democrats voted for him. Do you know if he has a security clearance to do the intelligence work?
