FBI Director Chris Wray On The Bubble?…

Let’s be honest.  If the Senate Intelligence Committee (SSCI) was not so comprehensively corrupt, it’s likely FBI Director Christopher Wray would have been replaced a long time ago.  Wray is an abject failure in his position. [Recent Example Here]

Yesterday, President Trump calls out FBI Director Chris Wray for his ridiculous attachment to the vast Russian conspiracy theory:

.

From the FBI recently ‘taking a knee‘ to show solidarity with the Black Lives Matter domestic terrorists; to the ridiculous -and manipulative- 2018 claims by the FBI director in the Cesar Sayoc case (“energetic material that may become combustible when subjected to heat or friction”); to Director Wray’s 2018 claim that no political bias exists within the FBI yet he was going to immediately require bias training; to the FBI participating in the pre-dawn raid of Roger Stone; to the 40 FBI agents assigned to Robert Mueller; everything Director Wray has claimed is a complete farce and makes a mockery of the FBI as an institution.

It is not a question of “if” Chris Wray will be replaced, the issue is really about ‘when’ that will happen. Just like President Trump had to wait to fire failed AG Jeff Sessions until the day after the mid-term election, it appears the firing of FBI Director Chris Wray will have to wait until after the 2020 election.

Half of the country, if not more, no longer have any confidence in the FBI as a functional institution. From missed alerts about Islamic extremism due to political correctness, to missed warnings and alerts surrounding mentally unstable school shooters (Parkland HS), the FBI has long-been recognized as a dysfunctional institution; however, now the severity of that dysfunction has more sunlight.

Keep in mind former FBI Director James Comey organized secret recordings, secret investigations, manipulative investigative meetings and secret transcripts of his contacts with U.S. President Trump; only to secretly release them to the media with intent to manipulate the political narrative… while at the same time the FBI is blaming Russia for election interference. Think about that dichotomy for a few minutes.

.

…. Simultaneously Black Lives Matter and Antifa domestic terror groups are rioting, burning, attacking law enforcement and taking armed hostile encampments inside urban areas, and the FBI is focused on the mysteriously invisible “white supremacists”:

If Trump wins Wray gets fired. If Trump loses Wray gets fired anyway because he’s a loser in many ways that refuses to see ANTIFA as dangerous. Wray gets fired as incompetent.

Not just refusing to see Antifa as dangerous, but Antifa as paid mercenaries. That has been coming out lately where all of these connections to Soros and perhaps others funding and organizing. And let’s face it, a Democrat mayor or governor would let just ANY random group take over cities. Would they allow any of these militia groups? Probably not… not if it was just a militia group.

Why is it Democrat only? Because only Democrats would allow it…if they were told to do so.

FBI Director is a 10 year term that begins when they are confirmed, I think; so his term runs to 2027. I can see him resigning after a year so Harris can put her own person in – someone like Lisa Monaco. Former Mueller staffer as first woman FBI Director.

Firing Wray now and installing a temporary hardliner until a few months after the election would help the President in many ways. The acting Director could quickly expose many malign actors involved in the coup, while very publicly exposing illegal foreign or domestic interference in the approaching election, thereby discouraging much of what the Soros communists have planned.

There are too many upsides to an immediate change of Director to delay it.
Wray is going to ignore as much of the pre and post election chaos and illegal interference as he can get away with. Especially from China. IMHO..

Ok. Valid observations. I see it that our fundamentally decent society is still here, just not often recognized by the media which is the lens through which many of us tend to see and assess the larger society.

But I believe that lens is deliberately and significantly filtered and distorted. We see what the media (including social media) wants us to see. I don’t think the Truth or the Majority get much airtime in the Media. And social media is huge but increasingly censoring OUR perspectives.

Of course, this assumes that Republicans hold the Senate. There are seven Senate seats up for re-election that Real Clear Politics ranks as toss-ups. Six of those are Republican held. That is a lot of seats to defend. But the good thing is that RCP shows Republicans with 47 seats to Dems 46, excluding those 7 seats. Dems would have to win four of the seven to have a 50/50 split. They would have to win five to be in control of the Senate. That is highly doubtful.

Of course, you don’t just have to get past Dems in the Senate. You have to get past the R’s who are never-Trumpers like Mittens. So, I would like to see Republicans take the six toss-up seats they currently hold AND the toss-up seat that is currently a Dem. But that is unlikely.

All other matters are chaff designed to throw off coverage of the election. Firing Wray would be good for a week of news cycle with the Democrats harrumphing and demanding an investigation of this nefarious deed. Microphones will be put in front of Republican candidates demanding a response to this “unjustified” firing.

The argument has often been made here that economic security is national security, and it makes perfect sense. The devil’s advocate in me says, what good is economic security if the basic security of a legitimate justice system is undermined by rampant, in your face corruption?

In other words everyone that wants one could have a job but if the justice system is (as it appears) two tiered, it could become four tiered or selectively tiered and all we can do is keep our fingers crossed and hope it’s not our day. I’d rather fight for a job in a stagnant economy than have a job in a corrupt economy/system.

Further, who does the corruption affect the most, traditional American, nationalists, the common joe, anyone but the wealthy. I say it’s more about draining the swamp than “the economy stupid.”

Completely different skill set. But a Jeff Jenson could work. Trump can do an end around the Senate by putting in an “acting director” ala Grennell and that person causes such a ruckus that the Senate will confirm who Trump wanted all along. Someone who puts out all the dirty laundry that was the OBAMA team. Who that temporary person is we have to wait.

Think about that dichotomy for a few minutes.”

Discussions of double standards bring to mind this little-reported Comey quote from his book that indicate such an application based on his actions:

    https://www.realclearinvestigations.com/articles/2018/08/22/despite_comey_assurance_vast_bulk_of_weiner_laptop_emails_never_examined.html

“Many Clinton supporters believe Comey’s 11th hour reopening of a case that had shadowed her campaign was a form of sabotage that cost her the election. But the evidence shows Comey and his inner circle acted only after worried agents and prosecutors in New York forced their hand. At the prodding of Attorney General Lynch, they then worked to reduce and rush through, rather than carefully examine, potentially damaging new evidence.

“Comey later admitted in his memoir “A Higher Loyalty,” that political calculations shaped his decisions during this period. But, he wrote, they were calibrated to help Clinton: “Assuming, as nearly everyone did, that Hillary Clinton would be elected president of the United States in less than two weeks, what would happen to the FBI, the Justice Department or her own presidency if it later was revealed, after the fact, that she still was the subject of an FBI investigation?””

Uh, where was this concern of having the current president under investigation? Oh yeah, you’re the one who said you leaked in order to prompt a special counsel investigation! Can you say double standard? Can you say intent?

The hypocrisy is matched by the complete pass the media and law enforcement have given this guy as the constitution appears to be thrown to the dogs on his watch at the FBI. Without consequences for the actions of him and the other partisan actors — including getting the primary docs out free from unnecessary politically-motivated redactions so that the public can have proof rather than speculation with which to work, equal justice under the law as well as the proper operation of government under the constitution could be mortally wounded.

Whoever takes over the FBI should be expert in closing businesses and or organizations down. Perhaps merge the infrastructure into U.S. Marshall’s service, but even that would not be my first choice. This institution will forever more have connotations with corruption and deceit.

I cannot image Chris Wray went into that meeting yesterday thinking he would stoke up Russian Interference fears 6 weeks before an Presidential election, or discount the subterfuge of Antifa riots. But that is what he did. This alone is grounds for dismissal

I would dump Wray today, tell McConnell if he doesn’t confirm Sidney BEFORE Nov then PT will tweet to his MAGA followers to dump McConnell and vote him out come Nov 3.

Screw me and we screw you come Nov.

Sidney still has a way to go before she’s done with Flynn’s case. I suspect that will go on for a while – she’s MAD! I don’t think she’d leave off getting some revenge for her client to take a job like that……
She doesn’t need it, even if we do.

If Trump fires Wray before the election, he needs to give specific reasons why…and those reasons need to specifically call out where Wray has behaved corruptly.

Otherwise…wait for Nov 4 and fire the guy win or lose.

“Half of the country, if not more, no longer have any confidence in the FBI as a functional institution.”

Again I must disagree. The FBI is a very functional institution, criminal institution.

I think Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch would do a good job cleaning out the stables at the FBI.

Sure . . . Fey Wray gives us plenty of reasons to criticize and mock him . . but he has made some significant positive contributions. For example . . .

    • Improved the quality of the toner in FBI copy machines
    • Banned MSG from FBI cafeteria food
    • Re-lined FBI corridors with quality carpeting
    • Changed FBI bottled water suppliers
    • Provided every FBI vehicle with advanced tire pressure gauges
    • Hired the first Sri Lankan American accountants
    • Rearranged the brackets of the FBI bowling league

I’m no big Fey Wray fan . . . but let’s be honest and give credit where credit is due.

Fire Wray now and make Grennell Acting Director. I understand people suggesting Sidney Powell, and even Fitton, but we need both of them doing what they’re doing.

    J. Edgar Hoover’s FBI [with the OSS/CIA] spied on and blackmailed everybody from Henry Wallace to Lyndon Johnson from 1942 through 1968. And we’re surprised at Mueller, Comey and Wray? Allen Dulles conspired with German intelligence during WW 2 and we’re surprised at Brennan? George W. formalized the surveillance state with the ironically named “Patriot Act” and were stunned at what we caused to be created. We surrendered our civil liberties to the state in less than 30 days after 911. What have we done? Don’t abandon DJT!
