Zelenskyy Rejects Idea of U.N. Peacekeepers in Ukraine – Yet Two Years Ago He Wanted Them

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has rejected the proposal to use United Nations (U.N) peacekeepers in Ukraine as part of a ceasefire operation.   Two years ago, Zelenskyy was asking for U.N peacekeepers [SEE HERE] so, what changed?

Volodymyr Zelenskyy is asking for “security guarantees” during a ceasefire.  The U.N peacekeepers are proposed as a potential peacekeeping group to provide those “security guarantees” he says are so important.  Zelenskyy rejects the idea, seemingly demanding that NATO put their troops on the ground.   This guy is something else.

UKRAINE – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has firmly rejected French President Emmanuel Macron’s proposal to deploy United Nations (UN) peacekeeping forces to Ukraine. According to Zelensky, such a move would not provide effective security guarantees and could ultimately benefit Russia.

During a press conference in Kyiv, Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine requires a long-term protection strategy, not a temporary solution that could jeopardize the country’s sovereignty. “We will not accept a scenario that risks giving an advantage to Russia or limiting our freedom to defend ourselves,” Zelensky stated. Tucker Carlson Interviews President Trump Emissary/Envoy, Steve Witkoff

Steve Witkoff is one of the most important people within the administration. Witkoff plays the key role of emissary and envoy for President Trump carrying his message to designated ears and returning with information.

It is certainly frustrating to the global operatives of the CIA not to have the ability to influence and control the messaging and information flow from and around President Trump. Without a doubt the use of envoys and emissaries has to be giving the Intelligence Community significant frustration headaches.

Within the interview Witkoff walks through what he has seen and discussed in numerous conflict zones. The majority of the interview focuses on the Israel-Hamas conflict, and Witkoff’s action toward negotiation peace, as a result of the question priority of Tucker Carlson. The remainder of the interview, approximately one-third, focuses on the Ukraine-Russia conflict.

Tucker Carlson also emphasizes the U.S. media attacks against Witkoff, which I would say are significantly overstated (motive unknown), distractingly so. Overall, a great insight into Steve Witkoff, President Trump and the peace agenda of the Trump administration, while simultaneously (oddly) you can sense Tucker Carlson is engaged with Witkoff with an intent to shape the conversation. Very Important Interview – Strategic Points Raised by Special Envoy to Russia, Steve Witkoff

If you are concerned about the economics of American life, the first step is to understand the financial influences that were put into place by President Obama, then again with Obama’s team using the auspices of Joe Biden.

President Trump is rapidly untangling the tentacles of Obama’s “share the wealth” exfiltration policy, and he will achieve success on a scale most economic analysts cannot fathom.  Traditional financial media, including those who follow the influences of Wall Street are constrained by their need to retain pretenses.  However, President Trump and his economic team are very clear-eyed and focused.

We are already seeing major drops in core energy prices including gasoline.  These decreases will have downstream impacts on all consumer goods, and we will notice a significant drop in food prices in two steps.

The first will be moderate and the result of harvest one cost decreases. The second price drop will be even greater and will come as a result in major farm costs for the second harvest sequence. By Thanksgiving 2025, lowered energy prices in combination with ‘food prepared at home’ price drops will be the leading cause of a major decline in inflation.

In the background of this domestic outcome, the April 2nd tariffs will start to ripple through durable goods.  Initially, there will be waves and fluctuations as some durable goods prices increase and other durable goods prices decrease.  The more the components of the product are domestically manufactured, the more the price of the end product will drop in price.

As a result, the aggregate downward pressure (higher domestic content) will exceed the upward pressure (higher import content component goods) and overall prices for durable goods will decline.  This deflationary pressure point will increase over time as the end of the Marshal Plan starts to return dollars to the United States.

[Source]

Leaking to Politico, because of course they do, the Ukraine team said the call was “not bad.”

[…] “This call was indeed not bad. Trump shared some things from his conversation with Putin, discussed further steps, the work of the teams, and needed to meet again and talk about how everything would work out,” said a senior Ukrainian official who was granted anonymity to discuss the sensitive call.

“I would not speak about any reactions, would just say that the whole tone of the conversation was that we have to move on,” the official added.

President Trump Discusses His Phone Call with Russian President Putin

Apparently, an interview with President Trump was scheduled to take place earlier today and fell immediately following President Trump talking to Russian President Vladimir Putin about a ceasefire of hostilities in Ukraine.

Unfortunately, the interview was scheduled with the insufferable Laura Ingraham, aka Mrs. Hannity, who injects her views and opinions during every interview.

President Trump gave a high-level overview of his “very good phone call” with Putin that has led to an agreement to begin a ceasefire process.  As noted by President Trump there is an opportunity to unlock a strategic relationship with Russia for a more peaceful world and an unlocking of a greater economic collaboration.

The conversation then shifts to a discussion of the latest breaking news surrounding activist DC Judge James Boasberg and Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts.  WATCH:

President Donald Trump and President Vladimir Putin held a multi-hour phone conversation earlier today.  Both the Kremlin and Trump administration release statements conveying agreement to a drawdown in combat and a 30-day ceasefire of hostilities beginning with a stoppage of energy and infrastructure bombardment.

President Trump releases the following message via Truth Social: “My phone conversation today with President Putin of Russia was a very good and productive one. We agreed to an immediate Ceasefire on all Energy and Infrastructure, with an understanding that we will be working quickly to have a Complete Ceasefire and, ultimately, an END to this very horrible War between Russia and Ukraine.

This War would have never started if I were President! Many elements of a Contract for Peace were discussed, including the fact that thousands of soldiers are being killed, and both President Putin and President Zelenskyy would like to see it end. That process is now in full force and effect, and we will, hopefully, for the sake of Humanity, get the job done!” ~ Donald Trump

President Trump will Speak with Russian President Putin on Tuesday

Some interesting developments in the aftermath of special envoy Steve Witkoff spending four hours in discussions with President Vladimir Putin.

After Witkoff relayed the substance of the lengthy Putin meeting, the White House and President Trump announced a phone call between Trump and Putin is scheduled for Tuesday.  The Kremlin have confirmed the call schedule.

It is important to stay focused on the factual aspects to these ongoing negotiations.  President Putin’s public statements after the Witkoff meeting essentially said Russia agrees in principle with the need for a ceasefire, and the details of coordinating a 2,000km long point of conflict need to be worked out.

Meanwhile, in somewhat of a surprise statement, Vladyslav Vlasiuk, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s commissioner for sanctions policy, said they are open to the removal of economic sanctions against Russia as part of a negotiated peace deal.

Sunday Talks: Envoy Steve Witkoff Discusses His Optimism for a ‘ceasefire’ Following a Four-Hour Meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin

President Trump is likely to have another phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin this week according to Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff.

Witkoff was in Moscow Thursday for talks with President Putin and he shares how many specific details and issues were discussed.  The conflict zone in Ukraine is 2,000 kilometers long, with Russian and Ukraine fire on multiple points.  Despite a ceasefire on such a complicated scale, Steve Witkoff is optimistic it is possible.  Video and Transcript Below:

[Transcript] – MARGARET BRENNAN: We go now to President Trump’s Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, who joins us this morning from Miami Beach. Welcome back to “Face the Nation,” Ambassador.

SPECIAL ENVOY TO THE MIDDLE EAST STEVE WITKOFF: Thank you. Thank you, Margaret. Thanks for having me.

MARGARET BRENNAN: So, you just heard Secretary of State Rubio talk about these efforts to broker a ceasefire. You were the man face-to-face with Vladimir Putin. I wonder what your answer to the question is, in regard to whether this is a delay tactic or whether Vladimir Putin is sincere in seeking a ceasefire?

STEVE WITKOFF: Well, I was there for quite some time, Margaret, and I agree with the Secretary’s assessment. We made a lot of progress in that meeting. It was a meeting that was- it could have been as long as four hours, but it was certainly at least three. We talked about a lot of specifics, and I point to the large gap that existed between Ukraine and Russia prior to the inauguration, and where we are today. We have narrowed the issues between both of these parties, making a lot of progress, in my opinion, and I think that meeting underscores that.
