One of Deep States’ Most Important Generals Removed!
We start this discussion with a note of thanks to the ridiculous democrats and republicans for using the questioning session for AG nominee Pam Bondi, to out themselves on the issue of FISA-702, the unconstitutional surveillance of American citizens. While many will not see it, the timing here is not coincidental.
At the behest of President Donald Trump, House Speaker Mike Johnson has removed House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) Chairman Mike Turner from his position.
Mike Turner is no longer Chairman of HPSCI. This is a big loss for the Deep State.
Remember also, that President Trump had previously announced an intelligence advisory board headed by Devin Nunes {SEE HERE}.
In addition to his manipulative support for Ukraine, in December of 2023 Chairman Turner lied about his FISA-702 renewal having support from Devin Nunes and John Ratcliffe {LINK}. Mike Turner was not aligned with the MAGA priorities of liberty.
ASSOCIATED PRESS – […] Johnson told reporters late Wednesday that Rep. Mike Turner, an Ohio Republican, would no longer lead the committee, which oversees the nation’s intelligence agencies and holds tremendous influence over law enforcement and foreign policy. During Trump’s first term, the committee became a hotbed of partisanship as its powers were used to assist the then-president. Johnson last year also gave two Trump allies highly-sought spots on the panel.
Johnson said he made the decision to remove Turner because the “intelligence community and everything related to (the committee) needs a fresh start.” The Republican speaker, who has aligned himself closely with Trump, said he would soon announce the new chair for the committee. (link)
Mike Turner told CBS News’ Margaret Brennan that Johnson had cited “concerns from Mar-a-Lago” as the reason for the decision.
Removing Mike Turner is an excellent step in the dismantling of a system network that is eroding the very fabric of our nation.
People keep asking me what can be done to shift events and stop/block the trajectory of the control system that is collapsing our constitutional republic.
Let me share something that is apparently being missed by most. I have spent the past several years deeply engaged with the people and systems you see espoused as defenders in the conservative-sided media. All of the familiar names; all of them held in esteem as persons of significant influence that could ultimately change things.
Allow me to call the baby ugly. Our opinion of their ability is vastly overrated.
This perspective is driven in part by the incapacity of most to understand how the silo system of control inside the matrix of our governmental institutions works.
Everything is compartmentalized…. Everything.
Every aspect of what you know in totality is unknown to every participant who operates inside each compartment.
That’s a fancy way of saying, you know more than they do.
Yes, that’s correct.
The proverbial “they” have no grasp on the issues we face at the same level of understanding that you do.
Each individual works inside a compartment, a specifically constructed silo of information. They have no concept of what is taking place in other compartments that ultimately connect to their stake-holding.
None of them have the big picture, because the system that operates in Washington DC does not permit it.
Maybe, m.a.y.b.e, a total of 50 elected representatives, across both chambers, including staff, have any idea how FISA 702 is currently weaponized or used. [I am being exceptionally generous, in this one example.] That’s just FISA-702.
If you were to take the issue of DHS surveillance and coordination with social media, that number would be significantly fewer; that’s just another example amid hundreds.
The private sector, the ordinary high information consuming American, has far more knowledge than the elected official that represents them. The politicians and staff therein, just don’t put the same level of importance behind it that you do. That’s the reality of the thing, and too few people grasp what I am talking about, even as you read this.
The people in charge, don’t even know they are in charge; that’s the reality of how deep the compartments are that exist.
The CIA director, NSA director, ODNI, FBI Director, etc have not been in charge of the compartments they represent. They are simply functionaries -middle men- who operate in the space between where the compass points are directed, where the data originates, and oversight of that data that is ultimately filtered and delivered to the functionaries, who then brief the representatives…. who then create policy… albeit flawed policy…. based on a very specific, controlled, compartmented and skewed information flow.
President Trump is trying to change that.
President Trump has our full support.

I am sorry, but that tells you a lot. Every person who has a position of importance is in a “just following orders” job description?
No one steps back and says;
Uh something isn’t right or I have a lot of questions?
Worse, we have a problem or I have a problem with
Bottom line, most of congress is in over their pay grade or stupid good actors.

More like, they are operating within a highly circumscribed job description. They follow the rubric quite well, so being fired becomes unwarranted. IMHO this is no different than the way that “medicine” is so specialized that a person can go to a certain specialist as recommended and still be very ill because that specialist is only concerned with their specialty. Originally, the primary care doc was supposed to be the hub of all that information on your health, but the reality is that unless a person is particularly vigilant as a patient, the primary only knows what patients tell them.
The result is that patients remain unwell, and each provider is “doing a great job.”
And suffering endless referrals within the medical network.
And none of them are keeping track of exactly what meds the patient is on, including the patient.
Actually what needs to happen is, The Brunson brothers lawsuit that is tabled at SCOTUS needs to be heard by SCOTUS and decided in favor of Loy Brunson and then the 387 members of congress named in the suit removed from our government and replaced by loyal AMERICANS who respect their oath of office and what it means to our constitution and laws.
Totally agree. Wonder how long SCOTUS can “table” a lawsuit. Humm, I guess as long as it gives them cover to hide their cowardice.
make him a eunich….
The key is to get our elected representatives to put on their big boy pants and do their job of oversight.
There is NOTHING an elected member of congress or the President is not authorized to see. The President cannot deny information to a Senator or Representative, neither can Deep State. No law, regulation, or ‘process’ saying otherwise is within the constitution. The games Deep State plays about ‘access’ and ‘classification’ are BS and afford crooks and cowards in office cover for not doing their jobs. I know of occasions when elected office holders actually went to CIA and DIA and insisted on access to documents – they could not be denied. (of course they needed a tip off on where to look).
The gang of 8 is where colluding swamp meets Deep State in controlling access to members, BUT, members must occasionally excerise their authority or it effectively ceases to exist – and they are no longer effectively representing We the People.

Six ways to Sunday makes getting elected by the uniparty challenging regardless where you look.
Crossfire Hurricane 3: In Uniparty We NeverTrust
One of the reasons I was attracted to this site, and the writings of Sundance, is because of his identification of the silo system in DC. He put a word/ description to something I had noticed as an avid listener to talk radio over the years.
Having heard countless interviews with government types – from Reps to party heads, etc – I began to pick up on the fact that most, if not all, of them were nowhere near as knowledgeable on the “big picture” as I thought they should be.
It’s been this way for decades. Since Eisenhower at least, if not further back. The answer, imo, to defeating it is the same as it’s always been: Shrink government back to its constitutionally prescribed size.
In Gov We Trust

Ukrainian efforts to sabotage Trump backfire

Noted. To read the politico story I had to read an EU version {story wasn’t available at your link) which means they are involved in anti-American propaganda for the EU. Wasn’t that great of an article about, Don Jr. making a Ukraine link to California fires. I think Ukraine war is in a downspiral and they new many readers would have seen the same links as Jr. For whatever reason they pulled it here.
Well, Eisenhower DID state that the Military Industrial CONGRESSIONAL Complex was the public’s (in his day) the potential nemesis after all..
Funny how that description hardly ever is uttered in full.
Needs to be read in context:
“Crises there will continue to be. In meeting them, whether foreign or domestic, great or small, there is a recurring temptation to feel that some spectacular and costly action could become the miraculous solution to all current difficulties. A huge increase in newer elements of our defense; development of unrealistic programs to cure every ill in agriculture; a dramatic expansion in basic and applied research-these and many other possibilities, each possibly promising in itself, may be suggested as the only way to the road we wish to travel.”
“A vital element in keeping the peace is our military establishment. Our arms must be mighty, ready for instant action, so that no potential aggressor may be tempted to risk his own destruction.”
“In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.”
“The prospect of domination of the nation’s scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present and is gravely to be regarded.
Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite.”
The first warning, as regards “unwarranted” influence, not any influence. Meanwhile the second warning as regards “domination of the nation’s scholars” is ignored. Looking at you Fauci.
And if I may, Biden is no Eisenhower.

I agree. Listening to conservative radio (as is available) over the past 32 years has greatly enlightened me. Sundance is a step up from all of them.
I’m so grateful for the sharing of that knowledge. I work Diligently to absorb and understand the information.
I might add the intelligent and clear comments from several outstanding minds that regularly post here are outstanding and so very clear headed as well.
Thank you all.
Not sure the problem is the “silo system”. That I think is pretty inherent in how intel systems are put together, to limit damage from penetration. What I see is the problem is the perceived need to “connect the dots” post 911. That’s how you get everyone and their uncle accessing NSA data to “connect dots”. That’s how you get DHS, put in position to screen the silos from outside inspection because DHS has the “big picture”.
Thank you for the good news. Johnson can redeem himself further by doing what Trump asks him to do in all areas of MAGA/MAHA.
Now, if we can just get the stupid Republicans to listen.
It is funny, sad, upsetting, unbelievable, that the people “elected” to run our government are so inept and stupid.
Can you say Masy Hirono? Elisabeth Warren? Et. al?
Bob McDermott ran against Hirono last year. Would always be an uphill battle, but it didn’t help that many so-called “MAGA” would scream “RINO, RINO. RINO”. So here we are.
Bipartisanship means playing both sides of the field.

Speaker Johnson Demands Zelenskyy Oust Ambassador over Partisan Pa. Visit
https://headlineusa.com/speaker-johnson-demands-zelenskyy-oust-ambassador-over-controversial-pa-campaign-stop/
Well said, to perhaps put a finer point on it, it would seem the vast majority of so called “elected” officials are shallow and unprincipled, weakness and wickedness their masters. Despite their presentation of moral superiority they are antithetical to Truth, Justice and the American Way. Eph 6:18
I got a huge kick out of Bondi telling that Senator “you mean like when FISA was used to target Pres Trump?” or words to that effect.
In one sentence she put to lie ALL of the assertions by Congressmen and Senators that FISA doesn’t target American citizens. What they’re left with is a sputtering “well, that’s illegal and we didn’t authorize that”.
But something is illegal only to the extent it is enforced. They’re lucky she kind of bit her tongue and stopped at Clinesmith. Because she could EASILY have named other names like Judge Boasberg who went along with the spying on Trump (and who bizarrely sat in the courtroom at Trump’s arraignment). Upon finding out he approved a phony warrant, what has Boasberg done? Nothing.
She didn’t mention Strzok or Page who almost certainly were working with Clinesmith. She didn’t mention Senators who likely knew about it, like Lindsey Graham and Mark Warner. (And Rubio.)
Her response was nearly an emotional one, but she reeled it in just in time. But don’t be surprised if we see a lot of fallout panic about her saying the words “FISA”, “Clinesmith”, and “weaponization” in the same sentence.
They’ve spent so much time lying about it that they just assume we don’t know they’re flat-out lying.
Thoroughly enjoyed your comments Hokkoda and totally agree with your conclusion. Watching them lie with straight faces always blows my mind.
Their smug feigned superiority “gets my dander up”.
Or they “assume” we forgot. Nothing, of course, could be further from the truth.
Thank you! You’ve answered a question I’ve had for years: If I know about something, is it even possible the Congressman, Senator, etc doesn’t know it, too?
Has anyone been watching the tv show ‘Silo’? Kind of a good representative of what Sundance is talking about. I’m starting to get it. The last 8 years are making sense now, why do our elected officials seem to not know what the average citizen (with common sense and basic understanding of how our system of Gov. is supposed to work but doesn’t) is seeing? We can’t unknow this stuff once it’s been made plain.
Shrinking the size of the government is the ONLY WAY to correct the silo problem and it is not just happening in the IC…it also happens within HHS. (and probably other government departments as well) Government officials think they are doing their government jobs but their decisions SUCK because they don’t have all the information! The American people suffer because one hand doesn’t know what the other hand is doing!
Defund the Leviathan!
Awesome news! This is the type of evidence I’ve been waiting for…shows President Trump and his closest advisors are unlocking the vaults, moving the guards out of the way. Turner is a big one…let’s see who’s next.
One other comment; with all due respect to Sundance, may I suggest that his well identified SILO system can also be used as a protective ruse for many members of Congress. I have no doubt a number of them do not know details from one silo to another, but I also suspect more do than they let on. CLAIMING no knowledge because of having SILO’S isolate information can be an effective legal and “official communication” barrier to hide behind. Many of these are lawyers after all.
So this is good.
But who does Johnson install in Turner’s place?
I’d like to see Jim Jordan…….
Sundance,
I might get punched around for this and it’s has probably been asked and answered, but here I am leading into my question. Due to your very deep granular research, you’ve shown that the majority of our elected officials, their supporting staff, and probably an enormous percentage of the population is ignorant to the real way the system works by design. I certainly don’t know the extent of those parties mentioned above you reach, but it seems you break through enough to turn on the lights in a dark room to some degree from the actual CTH website and perhaps in-person meetings with officials. With that said, I’m not sure how many other social media accounts CTH is on, but I’ve looked on Facebook to no avail, and if I am following the real The Last Refuge on X, I see you have 285,000 followers, but when you post, I typically see only a handful of retweets, conversation, likes etc. Maybe that’s your intelligent follower’s not exposing themselves to TPTB?
So, here is my question. I’m curious as why you have not gone to the next level and start rotating between the television and talk radio news outlets (Fox, Newsmax, CNN, AM radio, Sirius talk news etc.) and reach more? Why not get on Joe Rogan and Tucker?
No disrespect, but is it too risky? Do ‘they’ not know who you are at this point in time?
I’m a long time reader of CTH and after many years of trying and sharing CTH, I probably only have successfully added only a one…two…three more dedicated readers over that time. I’m sincerely just wondering if this is for “all the marbles’, and you’re one of the few that can truly teach, then is expanding your listeners / readers a warranted next move?
Respectfully,
Mark
You have described the responsibility of the 200,000+ followers on X.
Just call or write your Congress criter on topics Sundance talks about. If your lucky, you get an AI generated letter that addresses a nearly totally different topic. This scenario applies to just about any concern you raise. That’s my experience anyway.
Is he out of the committee altogether or just the chair ? How much does it really help if he’s only not chairman but still a participating member ?
Off the committee.
Okay the minions may have limited access to data outside their silos, but the upper level operatives know much of the big picture or they couldn’t coordinate. Do you think that the swamps operatives on Jan 6th didn’t understand what was occuring? That the DOD, DOJ, CIA, DC govt, FBI weren’t aware of the plans and contingencies in place? That the media was informed and the game plan wasn’t in place just as they had done in Virginia 4 years before? There is a cabal and they have operated in close coordination since the Clinton years, nurturing each other, promoting each other, building these networks. They simply aren’t independent and ignorant of each other. Impossible.
Did Speaker Johnson pick the PEZ out of the Deep State dispenser to replace Mike Turner?
Edit:
Here is he rumored name: Rep. Rick Crawford (R-Ark.)
Mark Warner is really pissed about this. So I am very happy with Mike Johnson
SD,
Your stating that this removal is a big loss for the Deep State simply means that it is a YUGE win for we in the MAGA movement.
If we use a chess analogy, this could be akin to white knocking off 1 of black’s pawns.
With this move, it seems clear that the Trump team is very aware of the infiltration of almost all aspects of our government by the Deep State. They are also much more aware than any of us as to the magnitude of the challenges in first reducing the control, and then ridding the government altogether of the Deep State evil. We have to understand that the Globalist Deep State has finally more than met their match from Our President in the 5th Generation Information War that they have been waging for generations. We’ve seen the plan that has been in effect for decades finally start to hit the public consciousness 10 years ago with the infamous “ride down the escalator”. By its very nature, the information war that is now hitting full force will involve actions by our side that we patriots don’t understand and may not even agree with. That is the nature of information war. But we can be assured that it is being fought by the very best against the very worst and, with the Providential forces at play, will bring the greatest country in world history back to its founding principles and a greatness that formerly could only be dreamed of. And would it surprise anyone if Sundance was intimately involved as a warrior on the Trump team?
Everything that Sundance says here is 100% spot on. I used to be on the inside in one of the silos. We considered ourselves, as we put it, ‘defending the American way of life’. That is really a euphemism for ‘protecting our organizations, income and retirement plan’. I didn’t see the bigger picture at the time but I had suspicions. I walked away from the entire community in 2014 by declaring myself a conscientious objector and went away from the entire government industrial complex. I gave up a career and a community that I was very comfortable and successful in. I now could look myself in the mirror and like who I saw. Simply put, I could no longer contribute to the growing problem.
When Snowden disclosed the totality of what many of us were vaguely sensing, I began to see the bigger picture. We all watched in horror as this got used against a sitting President. Something I never imagined possible.
Heed these warnings. Sundance is correct. The stakes could not be higher.
Please people, keep Mark Wayne Mullins on your watchlist. Though he had a good show of words during the Hegseth nom, MWM is establishment. I’m saying pay attention to his voting on policy and not his theatrical words. My two cents. I’m an Okie…
I’m with you. I vowed to myself I would work hard to get both Mullins AND Langford out-primaried in 2026.
Some question DJT working with with Johnson, but I have noticed that DJT has spoken in support of Johnson in a way he has spoken about others that he had trust in…..and I think that he and Johnson have an understanding that they each have a job to do, and their positions require them to some times appear to do things that do not make sense to non-politicians….but in the end it works out. And, so they each allow the other the flexibility to perform their jobs so that they common goals are accomplished.
Don’t agree. Johnson is a complete RINO sell-out, and Trump made a major error endorsing him. Like he did with McConnell who shived him after the endorsements.
