AG William Barr Meets AG Advisory Committee, Chairman Richard Moore and Vice-Chair John Huber…

The U.S. Attorney General’s Advisory Committee (AGAC) was created in 1973 and reports to the Attorney General through the Deputy Attorney General. The AGAC represents the U.S. Attorneys and provides advice and counsel to the Attorney General on matters of policy, procedure, and management impacting the Offices of the U.S. Attorneys.
The purpose of the AGAC is to ensure consistent interpretation and application of the Attorney General’s priority throughout the broad U.S. justice system. [28 CFR § 0.10]
As much as possible pay attention to the dates and names (highlighted) as they each play an important role in understanding what has taken place in the past two years.

  • On February 8th, 2017, the Senate confirmed Alabama Republican Senator Jeff Sessions as U.S. Attorney General.
  • On November 13th, 2017, Attorney General Jeff Sessions appointed the first nine U.S. Attorney’s to serve on his Attorney General’s Advisory Committee (AGAC).
  • NOTE:  Why AG Sessions waited nine months to appoint his Advisory Committee members is unknown.

Those November 2017 appointments included: U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Alabama Richard Moore; U.S. Attorney for the District of Utah John W. Huber; U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jessie K. Liu; U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio Justin E. Herdman; U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina Robert Higdon; U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Oklahoma Trent Shores; U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana Joshua Minkler; U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri Jeff Jensen; and Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Alaska Bryan Schroder.

AG Jeff Sessions appointed Richard Moore (Alabama) as Chairman of the AGAC, and John W Huber (Utah) as Vice-Chairman.

“I am pleased to announce the first members of the Attorney General’s Advisory Committee under this administration. These U.S. Attorneys will play an important role in carrying out the Department of Justice’s mission to reduce violent crime, combat transnational criminal organizations, secure our southern border, end the devastating opioid crisis, and return to the rule of law,” said Attorney General Sessions

Four months later, on March 12th, 2018, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced the appointment of six additional U.S. Attorneys to serve two-year terms on the AGAC, joining the nine members previously selected on November 13, 2017.

Smart Move – Andrew McCabe Launches Proactive, Planned, Lawfare Media Blitz…

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe launches a pre-planned proactive media blitz timed to coincide with DOJ receiving a new Attorney General.  Say what you will about the duplicitous, lying, corrupt and conniving weasels – but they know how to seamlessly execute cunning self-preservation political objectives.
The strategy is as transparent as it is Machiavellian.  Andrew McCabe, James Baker and the Lawfare group (Benjamin Wittes, Michael Bromwich et al) had a planned defensive front waiting to roll out; today they pulled the trigger:

.
Team McCabe always knew the biggest legal threat to their corrupt position would be if they lost control of the mechanisms within the DOJ and FBI.  The launch of a media blitz, surrounding a book and constructed defense narrative, positions them to claim that any legal action against them now comes from a retaliatory Trump administration and DOJ institution (Barr) carrying out the objectives of the President.
The best way to position themselves legally was/is to go on the attack and then use their attack as a shield from any accountability. This is what we are seeing today.

Jim Jordan Questions AAG Matt Whitaker on Rosenstein Scope Memo to Robert Mueller….

Congressman Jim Jordan questions AAG Matt Whitaker on the August 2017 scope memo (shown below) that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein delivered to Robert Mueller.
Representative Jordan asks if there are specific people named within the hidden (redacted) scope memo. Initially AAG Whitaker says “yes”, and then appears to back away from that answer.  The exchange is below:

Sunday Talks: Jim Jordan Part 2 – The Mueller Report, Bruce Ohr, and FBI/DOJ Corruption…

In the second segment of the Jim Jordan interview with Maria Bartiromo the discussion turns to the issues surrounding the corrupt FBI/DOJ investigation; how DOJ deputy Bruce Ohr remained at the center of activity; and the ongoing purpose of the Mueller probe: to hide all the previous corrupt activity and continue investigating Trump.

.
Within the discussion Jim Jordan talks about the importance of Bruce Ohr as a bridge between Fusion-GPS/Glenn Simpson/Nellie Ohr/Chris Steele to the corrupt elements within the FBI headed by Andrew McCabe.
Last year we noted a letter between Senator Chuck Grassley and DAG Rod Rosenstein (Page 5, footnote #5) that outlines the FBI interviews of twice demoted DOJ Deputy Bruce Ohr:

AAG Matt Whitaker Mentions Mueller Report….

Beware of hyped headlines. AAG Matthew Whitaker made some remarks today about the Robert Mueller probe “hopefully, being close to completed”. That’s pretty vague. Watch:

.
The Mueller probe will end at the closely coordinated and pre-selected time when Mueller hands off his investigation to Elijah Cummings (WH oversight), Adam Schiff (HPSCI), and Jerry Nadler (Judiciary). That timing looks to be around the end of February if current congressional witness schedules remain unchanged.
The timing will also be dictated by how the resistance view William Barr taking office. Keeping in mind the political pantomime has to build in some hype-time for congress to argue with DOJ (build a narrative) about Mueller’s report while media align with a new found demand for DOJ transparency.

The Stunning Importance of What Devin Nunes Said Yesterday – Rosenstein Made President Trump Mueller's Target…

Devin Nunes dropped a bombshell yesterday in an interview with Maria Bartiromo [Video Here].  Many people are overlooking the implications of his speculation; and, more importantly how Nunes statement answers just about every contradictory question people have carried.  Including:

  • Why Rosenstein introduced Mueller to President Trump the day before he was appointed as Special Counsel?
  • Why Mueller/Rosenstein are hiding the investigative origination letter?
  • Why President Trump has NOT been able to declassify documents? and
  • Why President Trump is, and will always be, hamstrung by the Mueller investigation?

In short, Devin Nunes speculated that Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein put the substantive allegations from the Fusion-GPS/Ohr/Steele Dossier into his investigative instructions (full pdf below) that he gave Robert Mueller.
If it is accurate that Rosenstein charged Robert Mueller with investigating the dossier claims; and if Nunes is accurate that the DOJ investigative target, a derivative of the dossier, is Donald Trump; well, everything starts to make a hell of a lot more sense.
If the mandate given to Robert Mueller was to specifically investigate the sitting president of the United States as an active participant, and subsequent target, for a counterintelligence operation, then DAG Rod Rosenstein -and Mueller- would have to hide that mandate from everyone and anyone.

Sunday Talks: Roger Stone -vs- 'Resistance' Operative George Stephanopoulos…

Roger Stone appears on ABC’s This Week with DNC narrative engineer and former White House staff for Bill Clinton, George Stephanopoulos, to discuss his political indictment.
*NOTICE* Watch how Stephanopoulos is specifically reading the DNC provided manuscript of questions… Stephanopoulos is so concerned about the getting the specific wording correct, he actually reads the script during the interview.  [kind of funny]

.
Team Mueller are accusing Roger Stone of trying to figure out what WikiLeaks might be publishing during the 2016 election.  Almost everyone watching the presidential election was doing the same thing, including people in the Trump campaign; however, only team Mueller can ridiculously criminalize it.
Last point on this…. {because it pegs my frustratometer} If you understand the ridiculously stupid underlying premise behind these originating charges; and you understand that DAG Rod Rosenstein and presumably AAG Matt Whitaker, are approvers of overall indictment content therein; and you accept that 29 heavily armed FBI officers and SWAT officials with armored vehicles were dispatched to a pre-dawn raid of 66-year-old Roger Stone, well: what does that tell you about the current DOJ?
The willfully blind ‘trust the plan‘ crew really needs to spend some time in contemplation of that question.

Sunday Talks: Mick Mulvaney Discusses Border Security and Government Shutdown Fight…

It is a rather incredulous dynamic where President Trump is fighting to secure the southern border, while the Democrat speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, coordinates resistance bribes from Mexican cartels to stop him. I digress…
In this segment from Fox News Sunday, acting Chief-of-Staff Mick Mulvaney discusses the issues around trying to get funding for U.S. border security and the possibility of another government shutdown.

Tripwire – Chairman Adam Schiff Sends HPSCI Witness Transcripts to Robert Mueller, Does Not Release Publicly…

Last September 2018, HPSCI Republican Chairman Devin Nunes asked the DOJ to review, for declassification purposes, all witness transcripts and release them to the public. {link}  However, the DOJ and FBI refused to release the transcripts. Three months later, December 2018, the joint Oversight and Judiciary Committee also requested their witness transcripts from their committee be released {link}.   Both requests were denied.

Today, instead of supporting a public release, the new Democrat HPSCI Chairman, Adam Schiff, announces he will send Robert Mueller all witness transcripts.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The House Intelligence Committee will release all transcripts of interviews in its probe of Russian election interference to the special counsel’s office, its Democratic chairman said on Friday after Roger Stone, a longtime ally of President Donald Trump, was charged with lying to Congress.

Alan Dershowitz Responds to the Roger Stone Indictment…

Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz responds to the Roger Stone indictment.  This is worth watching.
The key point to remember is nothing is happening in a vacuum. This is a political case utilizing the structure of the legal system. If you have followed CTH through the years (Zimmerman, Ferguson, Baltimore et al), you will notice the familiar process of weaponizing the judicial system for political benefit. This is the essence of Lawfare and is highly coordinated, planned and strategized [more later].

.
People new to reviewing the process of political “lawfare”, have a tough time reconciling what is happening because the traditional perspectives of law, order and justice do not apply.
