(Via Truth Revolt) In a 60 Minutes special on CBS News that featured a trainer for security at the Benghazi consulate in Libya, a Green Beret lieutenant colonel, and top State Department official Gregory Hicks speaking about security shortcomings in Benghazi prior to the September 11, 2012 terrorist attack that killed four Americans including Ambassador Chris Stevens, CBS News mentioned President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton precisely zero times.

Lt. Col. Andy Wood testified, “We had one option: ‘Leave Benghazi or you will be killed.’…. I made it known in a country team meeting, ‘You are gonna get attacked. You are gonna get attacked in Benghazi. It’s gonna happen. You need to change your security profile.’” But the story never says to whom Wood made that clear.
“Morgan Jones,” a pseudonym for a security trainer in Benghazi, said of Libyan security, “we realized they were all inside drinking tea, laughing and joking….Instantly I thought we’re going to have to get rid of all these guys.” But to whom did he direct his information? CBS News doesn’t say. (more…)
There is a particular poignancy with Lara Logan doing this story after all she went through in Egypt. Her report essentially vindicates all that Fox News has previously outlined. How will a spiteful White House respond?
You have probably seen multiple written accounts, stories and publish articles, recently about a growing international backlash. This stems from revelations that under the specific direction of President Obama the NSA (National Security Agency) has been spying upon a growing contingent of international leaders.
Our allies are furious with the NSA for spying on them and their respective leaders. Consequently U.S. credibility and trust has been deconstructed.
Indeed, by recent count the list of Allied Western nations rising in open opposition to President Obama, and his administration, stands around 35. That’s THIRTY FIVE.
It is against that bold and visible backdrop we wish to draw back your attention.

In July of 2012, during his Term-two presidential bid, President Obama gave a speech to the Veterans of Foreign Wars convention in Reno, Nevada. His speech was specifically constructed to outline his accomplishments:
“Because we’re leading around the world, people have a new attitude toward America.” “There’s more confidence in our leadership. We see it everywhere we go.”
– Barack Obama July 2012
At the time many of us just about fell out of our seats. With quick dispatch, and working purely from immediate memory, we outlined the following:
[2012] There are many administration claims that I shake my head when I hear, but this one is perhaps the worst. It is a complete and utter fallacy to proclaim President Obama’s foreign policy has been even remotely successful. This is just freestyle off the top of my head, but consider: (more…)

Update – @05:45 (EST) Western media reporting he has been released. Apparently the faction of Islamist militia who kidnapped the PM came under heavy pressure from other militias who saw a backlash risk to themselves.
Overnight – – This is a breaking story…. I’m scrambling for details. Hey Hillary/Obama… your “Rebels” eh? Retaliation for the prior weekend arrest of al-Qaeda operative Nazih Abdul-Hamed al-Ruqai ? Looks like it….
TRIPOLI, Libya (AP) — Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zeidan was snatched by gunmen before dawn Thursday from a Tripoli hotel where he resides, the government said. The abduction appeared to be in retaliation for the U.S. special forces raid over the weekend that seized a Libyan al-Qaeda suspect from the streets of the capital.
Zeidan’s abduction reflected the weakness of Libya’s government, which is virtually held hostage by powerful militias, many of which are made up of Islamic militants. Militants were angered by the U.S. capture of the suspected militant, known as Abu Anas al-Libi, and accused the government of colluding in or allowing the raid.
In a sign of Libya’s chaos, Zeidan’s seizure was depicted by various sources as either an “arrest” or an abduction.
That is because the militias are interwoven in Libya’s fragmented power structure. With the police and army in disarray, many are enlisted to serve in state security agencies, though their loyalty is more to their own commanders than to government officials and they have often intimidated or threatened officials. The militias are rooted in the brigades that fought in the uprising that toppled autocrat Moammar Gadhafi in 2011, and are often referred to as “revolutionaries.” (more…)
The only reason this is happening is specifically because the: Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, Samantha Powers, Cass Sunstein, Susan Rice, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett,…. crew of checked scarf wearing, Palestinian sympathizing, jew hating, left-wing, scum sucking progressives’ have been rebuked by the vast majority of Freedom Patriots in Egypt. Period.

President Obama is ridiculously shrinking himself in front of an entire nation. Do you think this is serendipity, or strategy? Yeah, me too....
U.S. special forces raids, one successful – one not.
Nazih Abdul-Hamed Nabih al-Ruqai’I (Anas al-Libi for short) has been on the “kill or capture” list for 15 years. He was a middle level al-Qaeda guy in the 90’s and thought to have been behind the cell that carried out the Kenya and Tanzania embassy bombings in 1998.
Both CNN and NBC are reporting he was captured in Libya (Tripoli maybe?) […]
Al Libi has been a member of al Qaeda since at least 1994 and was a confidante of Osama bin Laden. He also is a computer expert for the group and is believed to be one of the masterminds of the 1998 U.S. Embassy attacks in Kenya and Tanzania, which killed 12 Americans and more than 220 Kenyans. He has been indicted in New York in connection with the attacks and could ultimately be brought to the U.S. to stand trial.
The unsuccessful raid was in Somalia […] (more…)
Via Weasel Zippers – who shares: So knowing she’s a liar, knowing that she’s in bed with the “rebels”, that she put out conflicting accounts, that she whitewashed the “rebels” into a more “moderate” force, this woman is worthy, according to John McCain, of being hired to his staff. This is so unbelievable, it makes one think that there is some greater personal underlying reason operating here.

WASHINGTON DC – Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain hired the Syria analyst in favor of U.S. intervention who was fired for fabricating her Ph.D., Foreign Policy reported.
Elizabeth O’Bagy, formerly of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), will start Monday as a legislative assistant in Sen. McCain’s office.
McCain told Foreign Policy that “Elizabeth is a talented researcher, and I have been very impressed by her knowledge and analysis in multiple briefings over the last year.” The senator’s office said they would not make any further comment on O’Bagy’s employment. (more…)

This really is no surprise. We have well documented how the average Egyptian held disdain for President Obama based on the reality that Obama supported the Muslim Brotherhood and Morsi; while Morsi was slaughtering Christians, taking over the courts, and even allowing Christian crucifixions to take place immediately outside his residence.
The average Egyptian does not welcome political Islam, terrorists, Jihadists and extremists. They have tasted freedom and like the people in Western Libya they are not going to accept Salafist dictates and Sharia type governance; all of which were supported by the insufferable duplicity and willful blindness of Senator John McCain, Secretary Hillary Clinton, Secretary John Kerry and the entire Obama administration.
So this recent example of the Egyptian sentiment should be expected. – Egypt’s Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy told the London-based Al-Hayat daily that Egyptian relations with the U.S. were “turbulent” and the Egyptian public has “unprecedented negative views” toward the United States. (more…)
Sounds like David Cameron and Barack Obama have similar dispositions toward terrorism and Islam. If they coordinate messaging, and work at it hard enough, the narrative stemming from the Kenyan Mall Massacre could be considered “angry shoppers resort to violence“….
[…] The attack saw men, women and children slaughtered if they could not recite the Koran or name the mother of the Prophet Mohammed. (link)
(Londonistan) Speaking on Sunday, Cameron said he had offered the Kenyan authorities “every assistance” in a call to President Uhuru Kenyatta, who lost members of his own family in the attack.
The prime minister stressed that the perpetrators did not represent the majority of Muslims but had carried out the atrocity “in the name of terror, violence and extremism”.
He added: “These appalling terrorist attacks that take place, where the perpetrators claim they do it in the name of a religion – they don’t. They do it in the name of terror, violence and extremism and their warped view of the world.” (read more)
Meanwhile, in the real world, a good approach continues in Egypt…. (more…)
