There are many people talking about President Obama and Secretary of State, John Kerry, being so willing to sell out Israel by negotiating with Iran.
Indeed a deal to let the Iranians’ off the sanction hook was damn near pulled off, were it not for the French.
Yes, you read that right, France – the quasi socialist fromage’ nation which has elected an avowed Socialist to it’s head, yet the body electorate is increasingly returning to nationalism. Go figure…..
…..But, well, then again, we have a right-of-center U.S. electorate body right here who have re-elected a self aware socialist in our White House. Strange times, strange times. I must digress.
The point is – were it not for France, President Obama and John Kerry would have given the Iranian Mullahs a win. Why?
Despite the geo-political international 3-D chess game which might be sold as an explanation, nothing could be further from the truth. Obama just needed a win – any win.
When you look historically at five year Political Obama, when the media pundits line up to deconstruct him [see obamacare] he will pull off a distraction for no other reason than to put a perceived BIG DEAL in his immediate resume’.
The deal is given a bold headline so the resume’ reader does not note the failure just afore it.
That’s all. A win at any cost was needed. It matters not the win would have led to Iran gaining nuclear weapons; it matters not the Obama win would compromise Israel and their sovereign security; it matters not. These are strategically 1600 PA Ave. basement designed distractions formatted to achieve the objective of political wins. Period.
When Community Organizer / President Obama is being deconstructed by the media for his too-visible-to-ignore failures, he becomes dangerous. He will seek a win regardless of consequences.
The only thing that stopped this one was France. The same France which stepped up to defend U.S. and U.K interests in Mali against al-Qaeda. Remember the hostage crisis at the BP petroleum plant? Few actually do.
The only thing that stopped the one before was Russia. Remember in Syria someone using chemical weapons and blaming it on Assad to cross the “red line”? Meh, again few do because of basement success.
So there’s the latest from a stalled mission of distraction from Obamacare:
[Via CBS] Talks on curbing Iran’s nuclear program ended with no deal early Sunday after France objected that proposed measures didn’t go far enough. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said “significant progress” had been made on the remaining differences.
Six world powers and Iran agreed to resume talks Nov. 20 –
Both sides badly wanted agreement. The U.S. and its five partners were looking for initial caps on Iran’s ability to make an atomic bomb, while Tehran sought some easing of sanctions stifling its economy.
But France would not soften its concerns over Iran’s plutonium project and the level of its uranium enrichment program.
Kerry, speaking to reporters after the talks broke up, acknowledged there were “certain issues that we needed to work through.”
“We’re grateful to the French for the work we did together,” Kerry said. (keep reading)
