Here is a video of Greenland citizens greeting their leaders when they return home from signing the security deal with the US and Denmark.
They apparently understand something that many others don’t. For there to be economic development there must be physical security. Greenland has many natural resources but nobody in the free world is going to invest in industry to extract them in such a difficult environment without knowing their investment is secure from being taken over or terminated.

Levi Strauss
(1829-1902)
German-born American clothing designer who founded the 1st company to manufacture blue jeans (Levi Strauss & Co.), dies at 73
Biography: Levi Strauss co-created blue jeans, the iconic item of American clothing. He was the founder of Levi Strauss & Co. which remains a global brand.
Strauss moved from Bavaria to New York in 1847 to join his brothers’ dry goods business. He worked as a traveling salesman in Kentucky before moving to San Francisco in 1853 during the California Gold Rush. There he established a West Coast branch of the family business, importing fine dry goods.
In 1871, Strauss partnered with tailor Jacob Davis to create riveted work pants. This collaboration led to the invention of blue jeans. The pair received a patent for their design in 1873.
Strauss never married and instead focused on growing his business and supporting his community. He helped establish Congregation Emanu-El, San Francisco’s first Jewish synagogue. Strauss also engaged in philanthropy, creating a foundation that provided scholarships to the University of California, Berkeley.
Levi Strauss died in 1902, leaving behind a successful company. In 1994, he was inducted into the Hall of Great Westerners, recognizing his contribution to American culture.
