President Trump Gives Broad Outline of U.S-EU Trade Agreement

President Trump and EU Commissioner Ursula von der Leyen have apparently come to terms around the broad outlines of a U.S-EU trade agreement.

The EU will commit to purchasing $750 billion in energy products.  The EU will commit to investing $600+ billion in direct U.S. industries.  The EU will commit to purchasing their NATO military hardware from the USA ($500+ billion likely).  The EU will open up all markets to USA products without tariffs.  The EU and U.S. will both carry a 15% auto tariff for imports.  WATCH:

.

I’m all about the broad outline described in the video above, but I also want to see the details.  If what President Trump said about all EU markets being open is accurate, it sounds like the Marshall Plan is over

Canada will not be happy; Europe gets a deal – Canada gets a cold shoulder.

Also, with U.K, Japan, ASEAN and EU trade agreements complete, President Trump is likely to begin focusing on the USMCA (Canada and Mexico) sooner than later.  Two bilateral trade agreements will likely replace the USMCA.

Sunday Talks – OMB Director Russ Vought Discusses the FED and Spending Cuts

Office of Management and Budgets (OMB) Director Russ Vought appears on CNN to discuss the problems noted with the Federal Reserve (FED) as the organization viewed their ‘independent’ status as meaning beyond accountability.  The FED has been operating without any oversight until President Trump and Russ Vought began a baseline review of how they spend taxpayer funds.

As noted by Director Vought, the FED can have independence and yet they must be held accountable to the American people. President Trump is that accountability piece and the FED were not familiar with scrutiny. They are now.

.

Russ Vought also appeared on Face the Nation to receive questions from the insufferable and ever-pontificating Margaret Brennan.  Video and Transcript Below:

[Transcript]  – MARGARET BRENNAN: We begin today with the director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, Russell Vought, welcome to ‘Face The Nation.’

DIRECTOR OF THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET RUSSELL VOUGHT: Thanks for having me.

MARGARET BRENNAN: There’s so much to get to with you. Let’s start on what’s going on with the Federal Reserve. If you take the president at his word, he does not intend to fire the Federal Reserve Chair, Jerome Powell- though he’s still criticizing him. What is the President seeking in a successor when his term ends in May 2026?

Devin Nunes Discusses the DNI Revelations Released by Tulsi Gabbard – Draws Attention to the Mar-a-Lago Raid

Former House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes appears on OAN with former Congressman Matt Gaetz to discuss the information released by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

As noted by Nunes, why did it take this long for the information to surface?  That question showcases how corrupt the DC system -the Intelligence Community- is in its effort to protect itself from accountability.

Nunes also points to the raid on Mar-a-Lago as a possible entry point for investigative accountability.  WATCH:

Let me refresh on something that could potentially be a revelation down the road.

In 2022 a Florida judge dismissed a lawsuit brought by President Trump against Hillary Clinton. [65-page Ruling Here] The media enjoyed ridiculing Trump using the words of the judge who dismissed the case.  As noted by the Washington Times, “Judge Donald M. Middlebrooks, a Clinton appointee, said Mr. Trump’s filing was too lengthy, detailing events that “are implausible because they lack any specific allegations which might provide factual support for the conclusions reached.”

When I originally read the 108-page Donald Trump lawsuit filed in March 2022, it took me a few moments, and then I realized this was not a lawsuit; this was a legal transfer mechanism created by lawyers to establish a proprietary information silo.

Deputy AG Todd Blanche Interviews Ghislaine Maxwell for Five Hours

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche flew to Tallahassee, Florida and interviewed former Epstein aide Ghislaine Maxwell for five hours.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Justice Department’s No. 2 official met Thursday with Ghislaine Maxwell, the imprisoned former girlfriend of financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The meeting in Florida, which Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said he worked to arrange, is part of an ongoing Justice Department effort to cast itself as transparent following fierce backlash from parts of President Donald Trump’s base over an earlier refusal to release additional records in the Epstein investigation.

“Ms. Maxwell answered every single question. She never stopped, she never invoked a privilege, she never declined to answer. She answered all the questions truthfully, honestly and to the best of her ability,” attorney David Oscar Markus told reporters outside the federal courthouse in Tallahassee, where Maxwell met with Blanche.

In a social media post Tuesday, Blanche said that Trump “has told us to release all credible evidence” and that if Maxwell has information about anyone who has committed crimes against victims, the FBI and the Justice Department “will hear what she has to say.” (read more)

Absolutely Not – Senators Graham and Cornyn Ask DOJ to Appoint Special Counsel to Investigate President Obama and Intelligence Weaponization Against Trump

 ~Understanding Silos 101~

Senator Lindsey Graham (Judiciary Committee) and Senator John Cornyn (SSCI) are requesting Attorney General Pam Bondi to appoint a special counsel to look into the Obama administration’s weaponization of the U.S. Intelligence Community to target Donald Trump with fabricated smears and false evidence using a fraudulent Russia connection.

This should be an immediate hard no for a few reasons.  Number one, the special counsel process is where investigations go to die intentionally as a design of the legislative branch defense process.  Second, the special counsel would not have cross-silo access to exfiltrate information unless it was accompanied by very specific Presidential authority.  It just will not work.

[SOURCE]

The intelligence community information that exposes the plot will be found in very distinct ‘silos’, essentially the intelligence agencies that house the information.  Additionally, inside each of the silos there is a formal and informal process to designate that information based on its internally defined national security value.

An example of silo retention can be found in the issue of the FBI housing information in “prohibited access” files.  These files are not even discoverable by most internal search efforts.

Within the Sentinel system there are “Restricted Access” files that are used to control who can view the file information (sources and methods etc.).  The FBI or investigative official (think authorized special counsel) can see the file but cannot access the information within it without a higher clearance level.  In these files the Special Counsel can request access and then review.  However, recently people discovered there are “Prohibited Access” files that makes the file invisible to both outside and inside searches or queries and are exclusively controlled by the FBI Director and FBI Deputy Director.

New Jersey District Judges Use Arcane Rule to Block U.S Attorney Alina Habba

Boy howdy, this judicial activism is reaching new heights. Federal judges in New Jersey invoked a rarely used judiciary power to remove interim U.S. Attorney Alina Habba, installing her top assistant as the state’s top prosecutor. However, hours later the Trump administration responded by removing Habba’s deputy.

[SOURCE]

This is where Majority Leader John Thune can come into play and push for a faster track confirmation of Habba through the senate.

POLITICO – Federal judges declined to keep President Donald Trump’s former personal attorney as New Jersey’s top federal prosecutor, exercising an arcane statute to rebuff the Trump administration’s wishes.

New Jersey district court judges voted to not let interim U.S. Attorney Alina Habba stay on the job after her 120-day interim term expires, instead picking prosecutor Desiree Leigh Grace, according to a court order posted to the judiciary’s website.
