Writing on a Truth Social post earlier this evening, President Trump is threatening to block the U.S. side of a new bridge that links Detroit, Michigan to Ontario, Canada:
(Truth Social) – “As everyone knows, the Country of Canada has treated the United States very unfairly for decades. Now, things are turning around for the U.S.A., and FAST! But imagine, Canada is building a massive bridge between Ontario and Michigan. They own both the Canada and the United States side and, of course, built it with virtually no U.S. content. President Barack Hussein Obama stupidly gave them a waiver so they could get around the BUY AMERICAN Act, and not use any American products, including our Steel.
Now, the Canadian Government expects me, as President of the United States, to PERMIT them to just “take advantage of America!” What does the United States of America get — Absolutely NOTHING! Ontario won’t even put U.S. spirits, beverages, and other alcoholic products, on their shelves, they are absolutely prohibited from doing so and now, on top of everything else, Prime Minister Carney wants to make a deal with China — which will eat Canada alive. We’ll just get the leftovers! I don’t think so.
The first thing China will do is terminate ALL Ice Hockey being played in Canada and permanently eliminate The Stanley Cup. The Tariffs Canada charges us for our Dairy products have, for many years, been unacceptable, putting our Farmers at great financial risk. I will not allow this bridge to open until the United States is fully compensated for everything we have given them, and also, importantly, Canada treats the United States with the Fairness and Respect that we deserve. We will start negotiations, IMMEDIATELY. With all that we have given them, we should own, perhaps, at least one half of this asset. A few days ago Doug Ford announced that Mark Carney needs to call a snap election. President Trump’s comments are not made in a vacuum. He knows that any hostile words and actions at election time will typically drive Canadians to a liberal govt.

Why? Perhaps it’s because he knows the Canadian version of a conservative is their version of a RINO and will still bow down to the NWO and their draconian assault on freedom. Trump signed a trade agreement with Canada and Mexico with an expiration date of 1 July 2036 and now he’s pissed that Canada expects the co-signatories honor that agreement and refuses to re-negotiate. The coming review ( “ late summer, fall” per Lutnick) will be, to the dismay of Trump and Sundance, quiet and uneventful and lack any Randall McMurphy- like rhetoric as seen above lest the markets get rattled. Republicans need a roaring economy going into midterms or it’s game over.
Increasing imported Canadian goods will not help the US economy.
The Gordie Howe Bridge will enable more Canadian workers to commite more convenientky into the US, and enable more heavy truck traffic between Detroit and Windsor, enabling more sales of Canadian goods in the USA. Re-open USMCA!

Let’s switch this out a little bit. A man who has poured out his life in every form, one life has to offer; who has focused his decisions and policies to be for the good of the American people, who were walking the death march after the leaderless four years before President Trump’s comeback; who was humiliated in every way a President can be; and, who is about to bring in the fruit of all of the labors of our government, President, Vice President, Cabinet, Secretary of State, Military, ICE, etc. both small and great…is a man to be honored and respected without equivocation. It is arrogant, weak, and sad to criticise him for a lack of “fairness” when he is dealing with another nation and its economic “fairness”, considering that your personal experience of “fairness” may be to give equal ice cream to your children. True, this is important too, but do some more reading and see if where you are and where he is are not two entirely different things. Your perspective might need to be examined concerning its source.
