CTH has not visited the various Twitter stories recently, quite frankly because we are ambivalent to them. It just seems illogical for Elon Musk to have purchased Twitter without any idea of what was happening inside Jack’s Magic Coffee Shop, the public-private partnership that structures the operations of the social media company known as Twitter.
That said, some interesting developments recently as media rail against the platform and organized ultra-leftist groups demand advertising boycotts. Apparently, Apple and Android are threatening to remove the Twitter App and Mr. Musk is doubling down on exposing the matrix of how the U.S. government was working with Twitter toward controlling speech that was against their interests.
This tweet about releasing internal “files” on “speech suppression” follow on the heels of Mr. Musk noting that government involvement in the blocking of speech is very troubling.
Jumpin’ ju-ju bones, Neil Oliver is going to that place publicly and loudly, that many of us have contemplated and discussed quietly with hushed tones and knowing nods.
What Oliver outlines in this monologue does not need much discussion amid the audience awaiting its arrival. After all, he is basically discussing the logical consequence to the current state of political affairs not only in the U.K but also in the United States. In the past week the mainstream media and U.S. government interests have collectively been in a state of apoplexy as Elon Musk took ownership of Twitter and began announcing changes.
As a result of the management change, there have been some new discoveries about the internal operations of the social media platform that are worth highlighting. [Background Context Here] Additionally, it seems likely that Musk’s focus on the technology side of the operation might soon lead to [¹]interesting discoveries. However, let’s start by reviewing information discovered in the management change.
First, it is important to recognize that Twitter is simply a massive global commenting and information sharing system. Twitter, the platform itself, does not provide any content, all content (comments, pictures, videos, links to articles etc) is provided by the users of the platform. In essence it is a big chat room or commenting system. The main point to remember is that Twitter does not provide any content, the platform simply provides the hosting system for the conversation itself.
♦ “Verification” – Individual accounts on Twitter could request to be ‘verified’ by Twitter to validate their identity as a specific user of the platform. This is the “blue check” process that assigns a blue check badge to the user upon verification.
Apparently, the verification badge morphed into some form of enhanced credibility for the user almost like a tiered social system or class system. The ‘Blue Checks’ considered themselves more important than the average user and that verification system then became something of a status symbol.
Inside the administration system of Twitter, the assignment of the verification badge became a tool for the Twitter admins to elevate some user accounts as more important than others.
However, apparently with the new management in place, it has been discovered that verification badge status was also for sale. For a secret fee, if you knew the right people, you could purchase a verified status. Of course, no one ever knew this before, and it seems very sketchy. [See comment above left]
Knowing that some users purchased their verification status, the apoplexy over Elon Musk deciding to allow any user to verify their status for an $8/month fee, now takes on a new perspective.

Brown University Professor Emily Oster, writing for The Atlantic wants to heal divisions created during the COVID-19 pandemic, let bygones be bygones and accept a pandemic amnesty; now that the nonsense covid positions of the professional left are shown to have been built upon lies, falsehoods and social manipulation….

Elon Musk officially took control of Twitter on Thursday evening.
Immediately after taking ownership, Mr. Musk fired Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Parag Agrawal, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Ned Segal, and the Head of Legal Policy, Vijaya Gadde, the person who took responsibility for banning former President Donald Trump from the social media platform. According to The Washington Post, Sean Edgett, the company’s general counsel was also given the boot.
The CEO, CFO and top legal officers all immediately removed. Nice start. Immediately after the top brass cleaning, Musk Tweeted “the bird is freed.”
According to financial reports, the S&P 500 is exiting Twitter (TWTR) from its stock market index effective November 1st as Musk takes the company private and promises to open source the background code to the public.
While there are many people waiting to see exactly what the changes mean to the user engagement aspects of the intelligence community engaged platform, this is easily the biggest change in the public information space in many years.
