Death Toll Climbs to 55 with Hundreds Missing in Massive Hong Kong Inferno

A massive fire at Wang Fuk Court in the Tai Po district of Hong Kong erupted on Wednesday afternoon, quickly spreading through multiple high rise residential buildings with bamboo scaffolding, trapping hundreds of residents, triggering mass panic, overwhelming firefighters, killing at least 55 people, injuring many others.

In the latest Reuters News report at least 55 people have been confirmed killed with hundreds still missing. The complex housed 4,600 apartments and was undergoing renovations. The 31 story buildings were covered in nylon mesh and bamboo scaffolding, with reports of foam insulation sprayed on the outside of the windows.

As the fire spread, the construction mesh and bamboo became ablaze and triggered fallout on the surrounding buildings, spreading the fire throughout the complex. The fire entered the buildings trapping many residents on the upper floors as the horrific inferno spread.

The videos and still images are terrible.  24 hours later and the heat inside the buildings is too intense for firefighters conducting search and rescue efforts.  An absolute nightmare for those who lived in the buildings.

Ambush – 3 Firefighters Shot, Two Dead After Arsonist Gunman Lured Them in Idaho

A horrible story.  A gunman started a fire in the mountains near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, in order to bait firefighters to the area. Upon arrival to the area three firefighters were shot; two killed and other in serious condition following surgery.

Canfield Mountain is in Coeur d’Alene, which is in northwestern Idaho, about 30 miles from Spokane, Washington. The fire appeared to have been set as part of an “ambush,” and sheriff’s deputies took active sniper fire, Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris said. Authorities said during a press conference that a man was found dead on Canfield Mountain with a gun nearby. That man is believed to be the shooter, Norris said. Briefing:

After Saying Everything is Under Control for 4 Days, Los Angeles Mayor Now Declares a Local State of Emergency and Issues Curfew

Apparently, the prior narrative that everything was fine, there’s nothing to see here, just didn’t work.  As footage of looting, arson, violence and riots against law enforcement continues to highlight the false presentations of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Governor Gavin Newsom, the mayor has now declared a local state of emergency – with an immediate 8:00pm curfew, starting tonight.  WATCH:

The same people burning cars, breaking into businesses, destroying property and throwing objects at law enforcement, are suddenly going to adhere to a curfew!  Huh, imagine that.

President Trump Soaks Los Angeles Mayor With Buckets of Common Sense

During a press conference following a review of the devastated area, President Trump questioned why he was being told by Los Angeles residents that it would take 18 months for permits to begin the rebuilding process.

Los Angeles area officials are not permitting residents to clear their own lots after the fire.  Under the auspices of “hazardous material concern” the LA officials are telling residents they must wait for local officials to clear the area.  This ridiculous impediment resulted in President Donald Trump confronting Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass over the timing of when displaced residents can legally return to their properties to clear out debris after the recent fires.

President Trump drowned Karen Bass in buckets of common sense.  WATCH:

The firefighting in the Los Angeles area continues with a moderate respite in the Santa Anna winds.  However, the death toll continues to rise.

LA Area Fire Danger Continues with Strong Winds Expected Again Tonight

According to recent media reports, “as of Saturday morning, the Palisades fire, at 21,596 acres, was 11% contained and the Eaton fire, at 14,117 acres, was 15% contained, according to Cal Fire.”  The fire outlook for Saturday is back at the “Critical” level for much of southern California as dry, gusty winds fan the flames. Winds are expected to pick up later Saturday into the night, raising the fire danger yet again.

Approximately 7,000 structures have been destroyed in the Eaton Fire, authorities said at a press conference today. The Palisades Fire has destroyed more than 5,000 structures, according to an early morning update from the Los Angeles Fire Department.

CALIFORNIA – The Palisades and Eaton wildfires have killed at least 11 people and destroyed some 12,000 structures as of Friday. Evacuation orders have been lifted in some areas as firefighters make progress on the Kenneth, Hurst and Lidia fires.

The exact causes of the fires remain under investigation, but they were fueled by extreme gusts from the Santa Ana winds. Winds  Forecasters warn they could pick back up later this weekend.

Officials have identified the origin of the Palisades blaze fire behind a home on Piedra Morada Drive, which sits above a densely wooded arroyo. (more)

Chaos from Incompetence – Entire LA County of 9.6 million Residents Mistakenly Told to Evacuate

As if the people in/around the Los Angeles area didn’t have enough to worry about.  Apparently, the entire population of 9.6 million residents was mistakenly told to evacuate their homes around 4pm local time, according to Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn.

The emergency alert was supposed to be for a specific region ‘impacted by the Kenneth Fire in Woodland Hills.‘  However, someone sent the alert to every resident in the greater Los Angeles region, creating massive anxiety and exacerbating an already tense situation.

Officials in the region have been getting blasted by residents for their abject incompetence in controlling the fires and keeping residents up to date. The results of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) running amok in local and regional government appointments is having real consequences.

During an earlier press conference, the police were not 100% certain of the identity of the driver of the Tesla Cybertruck that exploded in front of Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas and were awaiting DNA verification.
