Before getting to this rather jaw-dropping moment, let me first paint the Big Club agenda within it. Everyone knows the Big Club is stressed about the inability of Ron DeSantis to launch a successful campaign. Trillions are at stake, and they have invested hundreds of millions into the effort. Things are getting serious now.
You have heard me repeat it before; the Big Club it is a large network of aligned financial interests. It does not take a lot of organization and/or the creation of some massive global conspiracy, to create outcomes of mutual benefit when the interests of the parties are aligned.
Bob Vander Plaats is a big Ron DeSantis supporter in 2024 as he was for Ted Cruz in 2016. Team DeSantis in 2024 are the same people as team Cruz in 2016. The network of Vander Plaats and team DeSantis are aligned in common interests.
Vander Plaats organizes the candidate summit knowing the person selected to moderate the discussion is against the interests of all GOPe candidates. The outcome was predictable and by design. Using their GOPe vulnerabilities Tucker Carlson eviscerates the DeSantis competition.

The Netherlanders are a rather dramatic sort, organizing their system of governance on coalitions of various shades that agree to high-minded pleasantries as a way to remain above the fray of pesky conflict. Alas, once a moment of core and consequential disagreement reaches an impasse, the entire Dutch government is said to “collapse.”
The Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte traveled to Tunisa earlier this year, together with EU leaders, pledging €1 billion in assistance if the North African gatekeepers could just stop the flow. The effort didn’t work, and his small country of 18 million, already dealing with major internal conflict driven by farmers and climate change, could not cope with the toxic political challenge of increased unlawful migration.
Associated Press – The ruling Dutch coalition collapsed Friday after tense talks among the four parties in Prime Minister Mark Rutte’s ruling bloc failed to broker a deal over ways to rein in migration, a senior politician said.
Henk Kamp, a senior member of Rutte’s People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy told Dutch television: “It is a great shame that the government has now fallen.” The failure of months of talks on the thorny issue could now force a general election.
Rutte’s Cabinet gathered late Friday in a hastily scheduled meeting. “We talked for a long time, we are coming here tonight because we did not succeed,” Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren told reporters as she walked into the Cabinet meeting.
Despite numerous pontifications to the contrary, it was always going to go this way. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and the idiot professional political consultants, those enlisted by the Sea Island billionaires to try and drag the $100 bill on a fishing string through the MAGA hood, were only going to fool the first few blocks of voters; after that, people wised up.
The problems are too numerous to encapsulate; however, for the sake of brevity they can be argued into three main buckets: (1) Fakery – the entire dishonest operation from the outset (triggered visibly in ’21, originating back in ’18) was based on deception, astroturf and false pretenses. (2) The candidate just isn’t that good, is inauthentic in the extreme, zero private sector understanding, and is dependent on #1. (3) Transparently a Big Club operation, surrounded by the most expensive deceptions the GOPe can muster.
I said last summer the DeSantis campaign would collapse upon itself as sunlight poured in. That’s exactly what has been happening. Despite their initial trust deposits, Florida Republican voters are now a case study in ‘not going to be fooled again’. Once you see the strings on the marionettes, you can never return to that moment in the performance when you did not see them. It doesn’t matter how good the stage presentation; the strings are visible, and continued pretending only makes it worse.
(Politico) – A top spokesperson for Ron DeSantis’ super PAC is sounding a decidedly dour note on the Florida governor’s presidential prospects, saying his campaign is facing an “uphill battle” and is trailing badly in the key nominating states.
[…] “Right now in national polling we are way behind, I’ll be the first to admit that,” [Steve] Cortes said in a Twitter spaces event that was recorded on Sunday night. “I believe in being blunt and honest. It’s an uphill battle but clearly Donald Trump is the runaway frontrunner.”

As a result of this dynamic almost every multinational and corporate EU institution has attempted to destroy Nigel Farage. The latest example comes from the banking system in the U.K which has told Mr. Farage he will not be permitted to engage in banking, finance or commerce. We tend to forget but prior to candidate Donald J. Trump, in 2015, it was very rare to see presidential rallies with more than a few thousand attendees.
Barack Obama and Bernie Sanders each had sporadic big venue rallies at mostly schools and universities where attendance would top 10,000; however, no one consistently has rallies anywhere near the scale of Trump rallies.
According to the Greenville News, citing the police chief in South Carolina today, over 50,000 people showed up to support President Donald Trump in Pickens. That is a massive crowd of people traveling to one town venue.

After a legal debate about standing in the case of Biden v Nebraska, the Supreme Court took up the issue of whether the President could unilaterally forgive student debt without an act of Congress. In a 6-3 ruling {pdf here}, the court determined the executive authority of the Dept of Education did not permit such action.
Joe Biden campaigned in 2020 on a promise to eliminate student debt unilaterally, without congressional approval. The court opinion released today affirms that Congress must be involved in their role as decision-makers of federal spending. Justice John Roberts wrote the majority opinion.

Betsy DeVos, who served as the secretary of education during the Trump administration, suspended both repayments and the accrual of interest on federal student loans at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. She relied on the HEROES Act, a law passed in the wake of the Sept. 11 attacks that gives the secretary of education the power to respond to a national emergency by “waiv[ing] or modify[ing] any statutory or regulatory provision” governing the student-loan programs so that borrowers are not worse off financially because of the emergency.

The evidence released by the House Ways and Means Committee today is quite astonishing in detail. In any normal political world, the transcripts, testimony and statements that were released today would destroy the top-tiers of any administration, including the President.
The evidence provided by direct testimony and through transcripts, emails and documents that support the testimony is comprehensive in scope. The White House and DOJ claimed that US Attorney David Weiss was able to conduct his investigation of Hunter Biden however he needed, but consider this revelation of how much Main Justice intervened to protect Hunter Biden:
“U.S. Attorney of Delaware David Weiss tried to bring charges in District of Columbia around March 2022 and was denied. Weiss sought special counsel status from DOJ in the Spring of 2022 and was denied. Weiss sought to bring charges in the Central District of California in the Fall of 2022 and had that request denied in January 2023.” (link)

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A Ways and Means Committee executive meeting resulted in a vote to release to the public whistleblower testimony of two different IRS employees who worked directly on the tax evasion case of Hunter Biden. That testimony outlines misconduct and government abuse at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the investigation of Hunter Biden. The allegations point to a steady campaign of: unequal treatment of enforcing tax law; Department of Justice (DOJ) interference in the form of delays, divulgences, and denials, into the investigation of tax crimes that may have been committed by the President’s son; and finally, retaliation against IRS employees who blew the whistle on the misconduct.
Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (MO-08) released the following statement:
“Today, the Ways and Means Committee voted to make public the testimony of IRS employees blowing the whistle on misconduct at the IRS and the Biden Department of Justice regarding unequal enforcement of tax law, interference and government abuse in the handling of investigations into criminal activity by President Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, and retaliation against IRS employees blowing the whistle on this abuse.
“The American people deserve to know that when it comes to criminal enforcement, they are not on the same playing field as the wealthy and politically connected class. The preferential treatment Hunter Biden received would never have been granted to ordinary Americans.

The CEO of OceanGate, the company that has created a tourism industry around underwater exploration, is a man named Stockton Rush. Two years ago, Mr. Rush was interviewed about his company and how they operate; his outlook on the personnel he hired might explain the crisis.
According to Mr. Rush, he intentionally did not want to hire a certain kind of submariner expert for his corporate endeavor, because that would only bring ex-military submariners into the company. In his own words he explains how he did not want to hire “50-year-old white guys“, and instead preferred a more diverse and younger workforce to represent the operational face of the company. Given the legal liabilities now present, the video will likely be scrubbed. However, there is a certain irony in the decisions around corporate human resources and operational priority, given the fact that all the rescue missions are being led by “50-year-old white guys.”
