Mike Pence and Asa Hutchinson are being funded by the billionaire class in the 2024 race for the same reason, camp out in Iowa and try to suck up the votes from the Iowa evangelical community.  Make MAGA seem extreme through advanced milquetoast operations.  That’s it. That’s the goal.

Wear pastels and sweater vests; be the acceptable Republican and make triangle, crustless cucumber and mayonnaise sandwiches great again.  That’s the entire modus operandi.

To promote this effort, Mike Pence appears with Chuck Todd on Meet the Press to talk about the crass/horrible orange man.  Pence was scheduled for the entire show.  However, Chuck Todd threw a curveball when he asked Mr. Pence the trick question, who is a Pence supporter?   The former vice-president was flummoxed, stuck, stammering, frozen…  WATCH: 

The billionaire donor class do not appreciate these trick questions.  The gotcha questions like, asking Ron DeSantis how to pronounce his last name, and asking Pence to explain his supporters, are unfair and not permitted amid polite company.

Yeah, he really did that. Folks, I’m not sharing this to be snarky about Ron DeSantis per se’, this isn’t actually his messaging. It’s worth looking at this through the prism of who is operating the management, branding and communication effort. This level of ridiculous religious pandering is stunningly identical to Ted Cruz in the early 2016 GOP nomination.

The DeSantis campaign knows they need to target evangelical and faith-based voters. Put a group of people who are not actually centered on the principles of faith in charge of a political campaign, tell them they need to appeal to faith-based voters, and this is exactly what you get.

The DeSantis campaign organizes what should be an interview with friendly allies in the Christian Broadcasting Network. DeSantis’s answer is so far beyond pandering cringe, it makes you seriously wonder who constructed this messaging for him [likely, Jeff Roe]. WATCH:

That campaign must be under so much external pressure from the GOPe donors, it’s unreal to watch.

Memorial Day customarily kicks off summer and the beer beverage industry generally looks forward to the enhanced sales that come from summer.  However, if the recently published reports of Anheuser-Busch sales are accurate, which includes a stunning 60% sales drop during the holiday, the brand position of Bud Light is in freefall.

While the impacts do have a regional trend based on consumer boycotts and patterns, when the Daily Mail reports, “numbers are suffering primarily due to a decline in Bud Light sales that reached as high as a 60 percent drop off over the week that ended on Memorial Day,” we can be certain the executive offices of A/B are watching closely. The feedback from wholesalers and distributors to the parent company must be something beyond alarm.

Worse still, the forward-looking data trend doesn’t offer any hope.  Things are getting worse for the parent company.

(Daily Mail) – […] For the week ending May 20, Bud Light sales across the US fell nearly 26 percent compared to the same period last year. For the week ending May 6, in-store sales plummeted 23.6 percent. And the week before that, ending April 29, sales dropped by 23.3 percent.

There is a new Jim Caviezel movie coming out on July 4th that deserves some attention.  Sound of Freedom is a new Angel Original production, based on the incredible true story of a former government agent turned freedom fighter who embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue dozens of children from modern-day slavery.

Long-term Treepers will remember the deep diving research we did into the issues of Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC’s) during the first term of the Obama era.  You cannot go into that world without finding the issue of trafficked children; it is a dark and horrific issue that few can truly fathom.  CTH had to back out of the research because without professional support it has negative psychological impacts. The depravity is pure evil.

That said, Jim Caviezel is a big-time hero, genuinely surrounded by a manifestation of God’s armor, as he pushes through the horrors and brings sunlight onto the issue.  There are approximately 2 million children trafficked every year, and the outcome of what happens to them is beyond disturbing. According to NBC and confirmed by Politico, former Indiana Governor Mike Pence is scheduled to launch his bid for the GOP nomination in Iowa on June 7th.

Oddly, and speaking to the framework of the larger GOPe operation, Pence isn’t making his announcement in his home state; instead, he is going to launch his campaign during a speech in Des Moines, Iowa.

Mike Pence is a well-known name to voters having previously been vice-president to Donald Trump, and he is currently polling around 3% support according to Monmouth.

In his biggest role as Vice-President, Mike Pence was in charge of the federal COVID-19 emergency response as head of the White House COVID taskforce in 2020.

Pence is a well-known traditional Republican who identifies with voters primarily on social issues.  Pence will make an appeal to the evangelical community in Iowa and is organized in that effort by GOP brand consultant Chip Saltsman, the architect of former Gov. Mike Huckabee’s 2008 Iowa caucuses victory.

The Texas State House voted to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton, effectively suspending him from legal authority within the state until an impeachment trial can be held in the State Senate.  There are 20 articles of impeachment [READ HERE].  The vote to adopt the 20 articles of impeachment was 121-23, with most of the Texas state republicans voting in alignment with the Texas democrats.

People are shocked when I share the opinion that Texas is not near the top of the Republican states considered deep red “conservative” or freedom/values based.   Of the mostly visible 30 states you might consider ‘conservative’ or ‘freedom balanced’, Texas wouldn’t appear in the top five; today’s vote in the Texas state house is just another datapoint in that direction.

TEXAS – In a history-making late-afternoon vote, a divided Texas House chose Saturday to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton, temporarily removing him from office over allegations of misconduct that included bribery and abuse of office.

The vote to adopt the 20 articles of impeachment was 121-23, with three members absent.

Attention next shifts to the Texas Senate, which will conduct a trial with senators acting as jurors and designated House members presenting their case as impeachment managers.  Permanently removing Paxton from office and barring him from holding future elected office in Texas would require the support of two-thirds of senators. Last night I participated in a conversation. This article is written as an outcome of that conversation, as requested by those who participated.

Essentially, the framework of the conversation, as I initially listened, is best described as a series of questions amid a group of smart intellectual types who are very understanding of the nature of our current situation.

In various forms they were asking each other the same question.  What happened in the last several years that caused Democrats, leftists and the traditional political left to switch positions on their advocacy?

Liberalism literally went from railing against Big Govt, to embracing corrupt Big Govt. Why and how did this happen?

In short, it was the same line of questioning I have seen asked by Tucker Carlson, Glenn Greenwald, Tulsi Gabbard and various traditionally liberal people as well as people on the right side of the continuum.

Why and how did traditional liberalism so suddenly flip from being, big picture – ‘anti-government’, to suddenly embracing corrupt government enterprise, and supporting the intelligence apparatus, federal govt (writ large), institutional oppressive law enforcement and FBI etc.?  What happened?

After listening to this conversation quietly, as I am prone to do, my remarks -with citations and examples- silenced the room.

At the conclusion of my remarks, everyone asked me if I had ever written about this, and if not – why not?   I did not have an answer, so consider this a promise fulfilled.  Perhaps you might find value.

Texas State House Representative Shawn Thierry, D-Houston, joined with Republicans to support Senate Bill 14 which would restrict gender modification in children. As a Democrat from the Houston area, Mrs. Thierry came under blistering assault from organized alphabet activists in her decision to support the House version of the Texas bill.

Facing threats, ostracization, ridicule and direct personal attacks against her, Ms. Thierry stood against the rage of the mob and voted to support the bill. Explaining her position, Representative Thierry delivered eloquent and powerful remarks on the issue to the House chamber. WATCH:

At times it feels like we are living in a dystopian era well beyond the prescient writing of George Orwell.  Indeed, I think we can all feel the shift that has taken place as the battle between commonly accepted right and wrong has morphed into a spiritual battle between good and evil.

Joe Biden was installed as a one-term disposable Cloward-Piven opportunity for the most destructive elements of political activism.  Every left-wing fantasy operation is now enveloping the United States and tearing at the fabric of the nation.  In this era, any Democrat who stands up for moral values with an intent to protect the children becomes a mortal enemy to the tribe of wicked enterprise.  Shawn Thierry should be appreciated for taking a stand against the raging mob.

Long-time readers of CTH research will remember a very specific agency inside government, the Dept of Justice Community Relations Service (DOJ-CRS).

This little-known, quasi legislatively authorized, Eric Holder weaponized, silo inside the justice system operates to control information that would be deemed ‘adverse to the peace and tranquility interests of the nation.’ In non-pretending terms, the DOJ-CRS controls any information in the criminal justice system that doesn’t fit the agenda of the radical communists and left-wing activists within it.

The CRS controlled the George Zimmerman case. The CRS controlled the Darren Wilson case (Ferguson). The CRS controlled the Baltimore-Six case. The CRS controlled the Stephen Paddock case (Las Vegas).  There are many more.

The CRS, also known colloquially as the “peacekeepers” can reach into any system of justice, local, state, federal, including courts, judges, trials and law enforcement agencies, and control the information that is at the center of their topic, charge or investigation.

The CRS is an omnipotent smaller agency, with incredible power within the Dept of Justice, that has full control over anything they identify as needed to retain the “domestic tranquility,” including instructions to federal and state judges.

Almost no one knows about the CRS, and no one is permitted to talk about their true mission. What the FISA court is to the star chamber of the judicial branch, the CRS is to the star chamber of the executive branch and domestic DOJ operations. The CRS can remove investigators, lawyers and even judges from cases, and the CRS can appoint investigators, lawyers and judges to cases of their interest by authority of their power. They can also control any evidence in any case, in any jurisdiction.
