Clinton’s “Researchers”….

I’m going to walk through a long-held hypothesis of sorts, surrounding how multiple institutions within government were weaponized around politics.  The foundation is what we already know about how the intelligence apparatus was politically weaponized by multiple Obama-era officials.

Jeff Carlson has assembled a strong and in-depth outline covering most of the weaponized intelligence agencies and how they related to “spygate” – SEE HERE

However, there has also been a strong suspicion that most of the corrupt origination activity would never surface.

The downstream ramifications to the institutions of our IC apparatus would be too destructive. What follows below is the story that will never reach sunlight officially.

When reading the Department of State (DoS) letter today, I cannot avoid reviewing the information against the backdrop of known DoS corrupt political activity that extends beyond the Clinton emails scandal.   For this explanation, here’s the excerpt that matters:

Forget Clinton’s motives for a moment. We all know her “request” was a proactive measure due to the likelihood her clearance was going to be forcibly revoked.  Requesting the removal avoids multiple political and logistical issues of her security file being damaged by a forced revocation.  The request is transparent in motive; so lets get beyond the surface issue.

The “researchers” who Secretary Clinton designated is the topic of interest; and the redacted identifications therein are telling.  The Executive Order referenced is HERE.  The subsection [Sec. 4.4 (a)(2)] involves:

Sec. 4.4. Access by Historical Researchers and Certain Former Government Personnel.

(a) The requirement in section 4.1(a)(3) of this order that access to classified information may be granted only to individuals who have a need-to-know the information may be waived for persons who:

(1) are engaged in historical research projects;
(2) previously have occupied senior policy-making positions to which they were appointed or designated by the President or the Vice President; or
(3) served as President or Vice President.

Essentially what this tells us is that Secretary Hillary Clinton used her authority to waive the ‘need to know‘ limit on the people she listed.  In essence, she gave unlimited access to her “researchers” for an unspecified reason.

When I see the wording, immediately I think of two distinct reasons for Clinton to grant her researchers with top-level security access to classified information: (1) to participate in searches of FISA databases (ie. ‘queries’); and (2) to make unmasking requests for any results within those search query results.

Keeping in mind these appear to be State Department access / authorized researchers.  The DoS is one of the intelligence authorized access portals.  [FBI, DOJ-NSD, NSA, CIA, DoD are others.]  In short, Clinton ‘researchers’ would have access to compartmented intelligence gathering systems, ie. FISA intelligence systems.

Now, remember all of the ‘unmasking requests’ attributed to U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Powers?   Hundreds of them.  Ambassador Samantha Powers is a top-level official, for Obama a cabinet level official, within the Department of State.

In October of 2017, HPSCI lead investigative House member Trey Gowdy questioned Ambassador Powers about those unmasking requests.

Prompted to 04:38.  Just hit play:

Brett Baier: “You are also looking, and have talked to the former Ambassador to the United Nations, Samantha Power. We reported that she requested or her officer requested 260 plus efforts to unmask, in other words, get who was talking about picked up in surveillance. How did she answer that question? Why so many?”

Trey Gowdy: “Well, I’ll tell you broadly, uh Brett, I think if she was on your show, she would say those attempt to unmask may have been attributed to her. But they greatly exceed, by an exponential factor, the requests that she actually made.  So that’s her testimony, uh, and, and she was pretty emphatic.

The surveillance community, the intelligence community, has assigned this number of requests to her – her perspective, her testimony is: ‘they may be under my name, but I did not make those requests‘.”

“So, we’ve got to get to the bottom of that; if there was someone else making requests on behalf of a principal in the intelligence community we need to know that because we are getting ready to reauthorize a program, that’s really important to the country, but also has a masking component to it.”

Can you see the possibilities here?

We already know the intelligence systems were weaponized for political opposition research.  The FBI assembled a FISA-Title-1 surveillance warrant on U.S. citizen Carter Page, using completely fraudulent information and misled the FISA court.

Those FISA issues are still being investigated by the Goodlatte/Gowdy Joint House Committee and, the DOJ (Rosenstein) is working earnestly to block any declassification of documents that would evidence the corruption.  Additionally, Inspector General Michael Horowitz is also investigating corruption within the FISA process.

However, we don’t need to wait for the House or IG to tell us the FISA(702)(16)(17) search queries were weaponized for political use, because FISA Court Presiding Judge Rosemary Collyer already outlined the investigative findings of NSA Director Mike Rogers in his admissions to the FISC (FISA Court).

(Source pdf)

♦ Thousands of search queries from November 1, 2015, to May 1, 2016.

♦ 85% of those Search queries were unauthorized (ie. illegal).

[There is a reason why the FISA abuse origination story is never discussed.  It’s the same reason why James Wolfe will never be charged by the DOJ with leaking the highly classified FISA application to the media.  Institutionally the swamp protects itself.]

The period in FISC Judge Collyer’s review/opinion matches exactly the period in which Fusion-GPS was conducting opposition research.  November 2015, is when Nellie Ohr, DOJ-NSD official Bruce Ohr’s wife, was hired by Fusion-GPS.

All of these data-points flow in one distinct direction: a collective effort within various administrative IC agencies of the U.S. government to use access to intelligence systems to conduct research on their political enemies. That includes candidate Donald Trump.

In the aggregate the Clinton “researchers” are advancing her interests through the insider use of a system that is ideologically aligned with her political objectives.

While the 2016 FBI unit, headed by Andrew McCabe, is facilitating -via contractors- a fraudulent and corrupt operation against Clinton’s political opponent; at the same time the Clinton research team are using their DoS access point to unmask the results of the names that come from the Fusion-GPS team, and flow those results into the bloodstream of the Obama administration.

This is all one massively corrupt enterprise using intelligence gathering databases.

However, here’s the punch in the gut.  The U.S. government doesn’t want the previous corrupt use of the system to surface, because that could potentially put the entire intelligence system at risk… The public might demand the entire system is dismantled. As a consequence even the non-corrupt entities within government are not in position to make the jaw-dropping weaponization public.

Now, considering that Ambassador Samantha Powers was not making the unmasking requests, and that someone -likely Clinton ‘researchers’- within the DoS compartment was making them through her office, re-read this letter from HPSCI Chairman Devin Nunes to DNI Dan Coats in 2017:

(Full Letter pdf Source)

“Political spying”?

“I was urging my former colleagues, and, and frankly speaking the people on the Hill [Democrat politicians], it was more actually aimed at telling the Hill people, get as much information as you can – get as much intelligence as you can – before President Obama leaves the administration.”

“Because I had a fear that somehow that information would disappear with the senior [Obama] people who left; so it would be hidden away in the bureaucracy, um, that the Trump folks – if they found out HOW we knew what we knew about their, the Trump staff, dealing with Russians – that they would try to compromise those sources and methods; meaning we no longer have access to that intelligence.”

“So I became very worried because not enough was coming out into the open and I knew that there was more.  We have very good intelligence on Russia; so then I had talked to some of my former colleagues and I knew that they were also trying to help get information to the Hill.” [ie. Democrat politicians] (link)”

There have been daily revelations showing a considerable collaboration between the White House, Hillary Clinton, the DNC, Fusion-GPS founder Glenn Simpson; his wife Mary Jacoby, DOJ Deputy Bruce Ohr and his wife Fusion GPS employee Nellie Ohr, Russian Dossier author Christopher Steele, FBI agent Peter Strzok and his mistress, FBI lawyer Lisa Page; and the highest levels of officials within the FBI, including Chief Legal Counsel James Baker and FBI Asst. Director Andrew McCabe.

All of the evidence points in one transparently obvious direction; toward a 2015 and 2016 collaborative effort structured to use a counterintelligence operation to conduct wiretaps and surveillance on the presidential campaign of candidate Donald Trump.

Accepting all of that mounting evidence, does that March 2017 interview with former Obama administration official Evelyn Farkas (Deputy Asst. Secretary of Defense), appearing on MSNBC, make even more sense now?

I would love to see the evil doers hung from the gallows-literally. But if all we get is the dismantling of their systems and schemes that would still be a great win.

Okay, I’m hoping someone here can help me understand something in Sundance’s post. Or, if Sundance happens to be reading comments and sees this maybe he wouldn’t mind helping me out. About 2/3 of the way through (its just after the two bullet points that come after the picture of the PDF of the admission to the FISA Court by Mike Rogers) Sundance writes:

“There is a reason why the FISA abuse origination story is every discussed.”

Obviously there’s a typo in the second to last word in the sentence because I can’t see how the word “every” makes sense. But I also can’t figure out what word it should be. The only word that’s at all similar that makes sense to me would be “never” but I don’t want to assume because I could be putting meaning into the post that isn’t there.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

I sent in an email about that last night shortly after reading the post. CTH has volunteer monitors, not paid staff. With the hurricane, some things might take a little longer getting attended to.

I think if you assume the word should read “everywhere,” the point is that without knowing why this whole FISA thing was started, it doesn’t ever really make any sense. Its worth remembering Farkas’ breathlessly confessional declarations to the media back then, that “I became very worried because not enough was coming out into the open and I knew that there was more.” At the time there was this burgeoning sense on the left that this Trump-Russia tie was going to somehow reverse the election results, and before they thought it through enough to realize that they were in fact admitting to spying on Americans, people like Farkas were shooting off their mouths. She likely believed the fake dossier, hence her anxiousness to “share the news.” Only when those higher up in the plot stepped in to shut her cakehole did she suddenly start backpedaling.

    • inspectorudy says:

He meant “Never” discussed. No one in the IC community discusses it and no one in the WH discusses it. That is why DJT has stopped all demands for the FISA warrants unredacted documents to be made public. They have probably threatened him with a total loss of intelligence if he harms the community.

Or, President Trump has been persuaded to deal with the bad actors individually and on the down-low, instead of blowing up the entire apparatus. Baby/bathwater reasoning.

  3. TreeClimber says:

You know what I find ironic, is probably the gun control crowd (blaming the tool for its user’s actions) will be fine with the IC abuse/system, and the anti-gun control crowd (who realize it’s the human behind the tool using it improperly) screaming for it all to shut down.

    And where’s Bill Priestap??

Is there any reason to believe that Arkancide Granny would limit the scope of research only to people in the Trump campaign? Perhaps they were also collecting leverage on others who she might need to cover her tracks later?

  5. RJones says:

It is not acceptable to not expose all of it.

  6. TomA says:

This is the leverage that is being used to coerce Sessions into approving a plea bargain agreement that let’s the culprits off the hook for hundreds (perhaps thousands) of major felony criminal acts by persons in a position of trust. They argue that the scope of the crimes are so vast and monumental that full exposure will burn the house down. They then argue that the cure is therefore worse than the disease, and consequently everything must be done to hide these facts from the public. Failing that, they insist that a phony cover story must be constructed and foisted upon a “naive” citizenry for their own protection. Sessions needs to understand that betraying the public trust with a coverup is an even worse crime than the weaponization and politicization of the executive branch.

I keep hearing this theory that by exposing the plot against Trump and by extension, his voters, the confidence of the public in our institutions, from the DOJ, Fbi, and DofS will be shattered. In other words, the guilty must go without accountability or repentence to protect the public from itself.
All of which is sheer hogwash to protect themselves as Deep State apologists. The Joe Six Packs and Jane Does of the country already know there is massive corruption in the government and that’s why they elected Trump in spite of his flaws. If this opportunity is lost to drain the swamp, the next wave of public anger will be violent.

I disagree. There are too many people that KNOW what is going on. Too many people demanding they be locked up.
The genie is out of the bottle. We can’t go back.

TomA is right, as disappointing as that may be. US history has shown over and over again that it doesn’t matter how outrageous the violation may have been, or how much evidence may be available to the public, or even if there are witnesses willing to testify. Just consider the USS Liberty, or William Binney, or WikiLeaks, or Edward Snowden, or the Awan scandal…

What happened to all the Clinton emails found on Anthony Wiener’s laptop? Why was no one prosecuted for lying to Congress about them? Why was no one prosecuted for using an unsecure personal computer for sensitive government business? Why has nothing come of the KNOWN FACT that a foreign government (probably China) hacked into Clinton’s private server and arranged to receive copies of all incoming and outgoing emails in real time?

The laws are made to control and punish the little people. Connected, wealthy, powerful people are above the law. How many times has Wells Fargo been caught in criminal conduct? It’s a running joke that it’s time for their weekly scandal revelation. Think about how cynical we’ve become that we laugh about serial corruption and the obviously fake “law enforcement” that follows.

Meanwhile, Wells Fargo makes full use of state violence to enforce laws that serve them. Wells Fargo can cheat you out of thousands of dollars with complete impunity, but the Sheriff won’t hesitate to arrest you and throw everything you own onto the sidewalk if there’s a dispute over the mortgage.

People still believe the big brand newspapers despite being shown shocking evidence that they are government propaganda organs selling lies and deliberate deceptions.

Very few people seem to appreciate what all these scandals really “mean.” Roughly half the population thinks we should give the government more power over us. There are significant numbers of people who absolutely love and adore Hillary Clinton.

Look at the horror of Libya. We destroyed a relatively civil and well-functioning country to “save” the people who live there. Imagine if you woke up one morning to find China bombing all the infrastructure in your state into rubble because they wanted to save you from the bad Donald Trump. No more electricity, clean water, hospitals, schools, sewer treatment, highways, communications, or supplies. Now imagine bands of foreigners roving around murdering, raping, and pillaging, and opening fire on one another with you in the middle.

We’ve done this repeatedly but hardly anyone cares and certainly no one is held accountable.

The Western powers are actively censoring the internet right now. But who cares? The Progressives are encouraging it.

It’s a bitter pill but it’s better to see the truth.

Dame Hilary has already done so much damage to or intelligence community and its workings as a result of her communicating top secret data on her open server that blowing the whistle on the corruption can only do good. We now know that at least the Chinese were into her communications in real time. That compromised all ongoing operations, and caused them to be shut down. The People have a right to know whether their public officials have sold them out, and to who they have done so.

I have been intrigued by Fargas from the very first time she cluelessly revealed the underbelly of the snake. My prayer is that all will eventually be revealed. I wish I had some brilliant idea about how we are going to put it all back together but no matter how damaging I think the whole truth has to be revealed for the people to have any trust in government again.

  9. Jeanne Burns says:

NOW I know why Samantha Powers was named over 200 times in the FISA unmaskings !

Recall if you will, Powers response when she learned Obama was making Hillary Secretary of State while Samantha Powers was UN Rep.

Upon learning of this decision the earnest liberal Powers burst into Obama’ s office and in front of others cried out:
” Nooo, you cannot make her Secretary of State; Hillary Clinton is a Monster”
Hillary always always always extracts revenge! Especially with other women.

THIS became known around DC and in the media. It resurfaced when POTUS candidate Hillary ran.
