Tripwire Alert – Understanding Why Mitt Romney is Making Ridiculous Claims About Donald Trump’s Taxes….

Former presidential candidate Mitt Romney is going “full Mississippi” with claims about Donald Trump’s taxes.  It doesn’t matter that there is no basis for the ridiculous assertions – the truth and/or facts are not what matters when you go “full Mississippi”…. it’s a strategy!

paul ryan mitt romney - selfie tweet

The absolute worst thing Donald Trump could do is to respond to it.  Responding to the provocation is exactly what they want.  Dismiss it like you would swat an annoying gnat.

Mitt Romney – “The reason that I think there’s a bombshell in there is because every time he’s asked about his taxes he dodges and delays and says, ‘Well we’re working on it,'” Romney told Fox News.

“We’re now, you know, in late February and we still haven’t seen either Donald Trump’s or Marco Rubio’s or Ted Cruz’s taxes,” he added, referring to the two US senators challenging Trump for the nomination.

“Frankly the voters have a right to see those tax returns before they decide who our nominee ought to be.” (link)

There is a specific reason why Mitt Romney is saying this.  There is also a specific reason why this specific reason, income taxes, is being used.  Here’s what’s going on.

First, why Mitt Romney?  The GOPe is positioning Romney to step into the 2016 presidential election either as a vulgarian alternative in a brokered convention, or as an independent alternative (third party campaign) to carry the torch of the traditional republican party – because the party cannot accept total and complete defeat.

However, in order for either approach to hold any possibility they first need to try removing Donald Trump.  This “full Mississippi” approach is essentially the power-brokers within the RNC positioning an alternative.

Yes, the GOPe are violating the terms of the party loyalty pledge they previously made Donald Trump sign; but with foot soldiers being used to create plausible deniability, they will deny it.  The people now constructing the attacks against Donald Trump are the same people who met in DC in February 2014 and finalized the GOPe roadmap to nominate Jeb Bush.

The GOPe are positioning.  They are manufacturing alternatives to the failed roadmap that Donald Trump shredded as he used their own splitter strategy against them.

The GOPe apparatus, writ large, are positioning alternatives.  Mitt Romney is the selected tip of the spear, the insurance policy, the means.  They cannot advance alternative strategies unless they have a figure head ready in the event they are successful.

This all goes back to the original 2014 scheme.  Again, for emphasis: did you really think a 44-year-old freshman senator with no executive experience, a family, four kids, and no status or accumulated wealth, would give up his only paying job and mount a long-shot presidential bid unless he was being manipulated or pushed to do so?  Think about it. Be intellectually honest with yourself.

Do you think it’s accidentally ironic for Mitt Romney to be using “income tax returns” as the flash-bang grenade to suck up media oxygen?  Of course not.  This is strategery at its highest level.  The GOPe players who coordinate this stuff know the irony will be part of the media narrative.

The irony expands and amplifies the effect of the flash-bang grenade.  The irony, by design, also makes it more difficult to ignore.  The “irony” is intentional.  The irony is part of the plan.  The irony is embedded into the story to make people draw attention to the accusation.

Seeing some clarity now?

“Full Mississippi” by design is intended to make the target respond.   All framework within the “Full-Mississippi” attacks are intended to suck up media oxygen.

The most successful “full Mississippi” attacks cannot be ignored.

Mitt Romney is participating in a much larger plan, this absurd claim today is not mere happenstance.  Because Romney is the GOPe’s Alamo, this is why Mitt Romney has not endorsed Marco Rubio.

The GOPe are planning to take down Donald Trump.  The GOPe want Mitt Romney to fulfill the role formerly assigned to Jeb Bush.  The GOPe know Marco Rubio is insufferably weak and will not win the nomination…..

…. he was never intended to.

Know the scheme.  Train yourself to understand how they play the game.  We can and will defeat them.  There are more of us than them.

GOP primary 2

Just a Reminder, this is an insurgency. – The modern enemy of Wall Street is Main Street vulgarians. The enemy of the RNC/GOPe is not Democrats, it’s Grassroots Conservatives, more vulgarians.

The Republican Party, and the Republican media apparatus, view us as their enemy. We are the enemy they need to protect themselves from:

In 2014, the RNC approved selection rules that govern how each state’s delegates are portioned out from the primaries. Under one of the changes, states holding their primaries between March 1 and March 14 will have their delegates doled out proportionately with election results, a change that will likely stymie a movement candidate.

States that have primaries on or after March 15 will be winner-take-all states.

That’s important because another RNC rule change requires that a candidate must win a majority of delegates in eight or more states before his or her name may be presented for nomination at the 2016 Republican National Convention.

With 18 GOP presidential candidates, for now, it will be that much harder for any candidate to win a majority in any state, let alone eight. (Article July 2015)

GOP-versus-Tea-PartyNow, ask yourself, why would the RNC want to “stymie a movement candidate“? Who exactly does that benefit? Obviously, the “non-movement” candidate, ie “the turtle“.

Isn’t the entire reason for campaigning in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina etc. to make a movement/momentum?

In addition Rule #40 changed in 2014 from previously five needed state wins, to a newer threshold of eight (8):

Officially, it’s Rule 40 in the RNC handbook and it states that any candidate for president “shall demonstrate the support of a majority of the delegates from each of eight (8) or more states” before their name is presented for nomination at the national convention. (article March 2014)

Again, ask yourself who does this benefit? A candidate can win seven states outright, and still not have their name presented for nomination?

These rules were made/affirmed in 2014 – Who or what exactly was the GOP concerned about blocking in 2016 that would necessitate such rules? When combined with other rule changes you can clearly identify a consolidation of power within the RNC apparatus intentionally constructed to stop the candidate of the GRASSROOTS from achieving victory.

It’s all part of their GOPe Roadmap.

I certainly don’t have the holdings Trump has and my taxes will not be ready until the first of April at the earliest. I am a Trustee and I file 28 different returns and they go all over the country. These fools know that he could not possibly have his taxes ready now. Good grief some of the brokerage firms haven’t even sent all their statements yet. Tax laws change nearly every day. If you want a loop hole in business you hold back. Also, your taxes only show earnings, not net worth for heaven sakes.

I think they used a mini Mississippi in 2012 to stop the tea party when they said they were going to have a war on it. It worked…………… this!

Mitt already starts talking about global warming and “fixing education,” and the wealth disparity.
He’s like a bad political migraine.

It makes me smile to think about how frightened and upset the political consultants must be to see those massive crowds waiting for hours to see Trump: Like standing on a beach and watching a tsunami headed for shore. They can try and outrun it, but….

  3. Can mittens still get on the primary ballots? Believe he’s WAY past the deadline in most states. Third-party Mittens won’t matter. Only a few GOPe-folks and professional talking heads would vote for him. No one likes a loser. The Libertarians would probably turn out more votes.

What needs to be looked into:

the selfie implies that Romney is controller of Speaker of the House

Ponder this.. If he should also be the controller of the most senior member of the Senate’s majority party.

Moving we allow Romney to demand the Presidental candidate compliance and allow him to be the controller of the election process?

I Know Romney/McCain lost in their bid to become our Leader, so no default action has been implemented to assign him (GOPe sanctioned) party controller.

You lost!!! Romney(loser) & McCain(hobbit hater)…now go throw those dirty pants in the washer before we let you come play ball with the misfits 😛

As I said Trump should take seven to ten years of tax returns. Remove the first pages that contain the summaries, all pages numbers and tax return dates. Shuffle them real good like they are a deck of cards and present them on TV using a YUGE forklift truck.

The presentation should be to Mitt Romney and Mitt alone with a signed agreement that ONLY Mitt is allowed to see them and go through them.

With this smarmy stunt, ‘Bishop’ Romney sheds the last vestiges of respectability.

This is a despicable bit of innuendo; a desperate attempt to destabilize the BEST presidential candidate the republicans have fielded in a generation, Donald J. Trump, because the republicans can’t control him.

Words to describe this initiative: “Panicked.” “Tenuous.” “Deplorable.” “Underhanded.” “Desperate.” And ultimately, “UNSUCCESSFUL”.

I know some of the GOP Establishment toadies read these pages. The following words are meant for THEM: “There is literally NOTHING you can do to undermine Mr. Trump; there is NOTHING you can do to topple him. For to do so, you would have to topple ALL of US–and that is impossible. We divorced you. You no longer control US. WE are in control, and we have chosen Donald J. Trump to become OUR next president. None of your puppets measure up.

“So, recall your ‘attack poodle’, Mitt Romney. Send Karl Rove back under whichever rock he came from. Reince Priebus? Go ahead and resign. It’s OVER, GOP Establishment–YOU blew it; we’re done with you.”

That is EXACTLY what Romney delivered last time. He is the reason why Obama won in 2012, and he has nothing to contribute to this election..Trump planted those seeds a long time ago, he saw this coming and now he’s going to crush it.

Perhaps it would be effective for Trump to simply say “Romney is trolling me, and he’s not very good at it.” And leave it at that.

But I won’t pretend to know what the best political strategy is, and Trump seems to be doing just fine on his own. As nervous as I was about the party and media machinations a few months ago, I am now eerily calm about all of it.

In this coming election, DO NOT vote for an incumbent unless endorsed by Donald Trump or sundance. The entire GOPe leadership have proven themselves unworthy of ANY consideration from the voters.

Do you think the GOPe remembered when they hatched this plan to have Romney pull a Harry Reid on Trump that it was TRUMP who came to Romney’s rescue to defend him on national TV? This morning they played Trump’s interview with CNN from 2012 when he defended Romney, calling him a friend, and saying his tax returns were impeccable.

The low-info voters only know 2 things now: (1) Romney is attacking Trump exactly as he was attacked and (2) Trump came to Romney’s defense. They don’t understand “Mississippi” or the roadmap or the irony. They only know Romney is attacking the guy who came to his own defense when the same thing happened to him

How is this good for Romney and the GOPe? I think this is going to backfire big time, if it hasn’t already.

Romney’s Mormon church elders need to have a serious discussion with Mittens. As he ran last time and his Mormon religion was an issue, everyone knows he is a Mormon, but sadly, I think he is NOT representing the Mormon religion as they would like to be represented by a public Mormon figure, …or is the Mormon religion endorsing this corruption, for those of us who are not Mormons?

Given the corruption evident in Hillary’s background, which everyone knows about already, why is SHE still under consideration and why doesn’t her corruption matter? If it doesn’t matter to Democrats or the media, then WHY would whatever they can spin as a “bombshell” matter to anyone who supports Trump?

Who can understand the tax code? They could analyze anybody’s return and find something. Ask the politicized IRS. It’s designed that way, imo.

The records will be “leaked” in 3, 2, 1 …

And we won’t care. Go Trump!

I don’t agree. Donald Trump is proceeding correctly.
Let them give him free advertising for another couple of months – all he has to do is show the two photos of his tax returns.
Then, when the time is right, release them… it will take forever for opponents to decipher and verify them, notwithstanding the tremendous financial costs associated re accountant fees working triple-time.

Mitt can’t win. It makes no sense to try to bring him in at this late date. If the GOPe wants to blow things up, they don’t need Romney. If Trump has a substantial lead in the delegate count, any attempts to deny him the nomination will result in an all out revolt and a certain loss. And indeed, if that is their goal, they don’t need Romney to make it happen.

It’s very possible that Trump will win enough delegates prior to the convention, which means “Game Over”.

Sundance is usually correct in his gut feeling about people and situations- but could be wrong with Ronna.
The reason I say this I did a very quick search about the Romney family. There’s a very real possibility Ronna has nothing to do with the Mitt Romney side of her family. Her Dad and He are brothers. However, her parents ( her Dad’s first wife) divorced when Ronna was 19 and her father is on his 4th marriage.
I personally know people who’s parents divorced when they were just out of high school and in every instance they have a strained relationship with their father. I know this might not be the case here – but it is a possibility
The only caution I have here is that Ronnas mother ( also named Ronna) campaigned heavily for Mitts Presidential bid – so who knows 🤷‍♀️
