Every time I see an interview discussing 2016 surveillance of the Trump Campaign and candidate Donald Trump I keep going back to that November 17th, 2016, Trump Tower visit by NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers.
No-one in the Obama chain-of-command knew Director Rogers was going to meet with President-Elect Trump; Rogers did it entirely on his own impetus, and James Clapper was furious in the aftermath.
Additionally, Admiral Mike Rogers is still running the NSA. President Trump has made no effort to replace him.

He didn’t use the FBI, and he didn’t use Department of Justice. He used GCHQ. What the heck is GCHQ? That’s the initials for the British spying agency. They have 24/7 access to the NSA database. So by simply having two people go to them saying, ‘President Obama needs transcripts of conversations involving candidate Trump, conversations involving president-elect Trump,’ he’s able to get it, and there’s no American fingerprints on this.”

If what Napolitano’s sources are saying is true, then it’s even more confirmation of our hunch in an earlier timeline. NSA Director Mike Rogers didn’t want to participate in, or give aid in relationship to, the surveillance scheme. Consequently, the Obama White House worked around Rogers with another source, British Government Communications Head Quarters (GCHQ), for the same information. (more…)
Wow. This is really odd. According to this interview with Vice-President Mike Pence, he only discovered General Flynn’s lobbying connections to Turkey yesterday.
That lack of knowledge seems rather puzzling considering that Pence was in charge of the Transition Teams, including all of the vetting [effective November 11th], and General Flynn was picked as National Security Adviser on November 17th, 2016.

We wrote about the looming conflict-of-interest issue back when Flynn was announced –SEE HERE- because immediately we saw a problem with Flynn connecting to Turkey and the view of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi that Recep Erdogan was the nemesis of Egypt, Jordan and the moderate elements of the middle-east.
Really quite surprising to see VP Pence state the Trump administration had no idea about the Flynn lobbying which was quite widely circulated at the time by The Daily Caller and others. (more…)
The far-left Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, said this morning there were no wire taps at Trump Tower. The far-right Director of Non-Intelligence, Mark Levin, outlines all the media reports claiming there were wire taps at Trump Tower.
So were there wire taps, and surveillance at Trump Tower or not?
Former Attorney General Michael Mukasey scratches the clay from his cleats, rares back, and hurls an atomic fastball right down the middle. Saying: Trump was “right” that there was surveillance on Trump Tower for intelligence purposes. WATCH:

The Obama administration files a request with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) to monitor communications involving Donald Trump and several advisers. The request, uncharacteristically, is denied. 2. July: Russia joke. Wikileaks releases emails from the Democratic National Committee that show an effort to prevent Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) from winning the presidential nomination. In a press conference, Donald Trump refers to Hillary Clinton’s own missing emails, joking: “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 e-mails that are missing.” That remark becomes the basis for accusations by Clinton and the media that Trump invited further hacking. Today President Donald Trump announced Army Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster as his new national security adviser, to replace General Flynn. McMaster’s Chief of Staff will be General Keith Kellogg.
Jay Sekulow outlines the case [Video Here] that President Obama set-up a plan for the intelligence community to target President Trump.
Specifically through the use of a lame-duck executive order, President Obama authorized multiple intelligence agencies to have access to Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) including phone call intercepts.

The new rules were issued under section 2.3 of Executive Order 12333 after approval by two Obama Administration officials: Attorney General Loretta Lynch and Director of National Intelligence Director, James Clapper.
[…] Normally intercepts of U.S. officials and citizens are some of the most tightly held government secrets. This is for good reason. Selectively disclosing details of private conversations monitored by the FBI or NSA gives the permanent state the power to destroy reputations from the cloak of anonymity. This is what police states do.
President Obama previously requested Snowden’s return, Russia said no. Obama was angry. Now that President Obama is out of office Russia wants to give Snowden back, and President Trump has never even asked for him. Apparently, Snowden has worn out his welcome. (Via NBC News) U.S. intelligence has collected information that Russia is considering turning over Edward Snowden as a “gift” to President Donald Trump — who has called the NSA leaker a “spy” and a “traitor” who deserves to be executed.
That’s according to a senior U.S. official who has analyzed a series of highly sensitive intelligence reports detailing Russian deliberations and who says a Snowden handover is one of various ploys to “curry favor” with Trump. A second source in the intelligence community confirms the intelligence about the Russian conversations and notes it has been gathered since the inauguration. (more…)
