As if the people in/around the Los Angeles area didn’t have enough to worry about. Apparently, the entire population of 9.6 million residents was mistakenly told to evacuate their homes around 4pm local time, according to Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn.
The emergency alert was supposed to be for a specific region ‘impacted by the Kenneth Fire in Woodland Hills.‘ However, someone sent the alert to every resident in the greater Los Angeles region, creating massive anxiety and exacerbating an already tense situation.

Officials in the region have been getting blasted by residents for their abject incompetence in controlling the fires and keeping residents up to date. The results of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) running amok in local and regional government appointments is having real consequences.

Many were left furious by the disastrous mistake, and quickly fired back at Hahn in the comments.

‘Thanks for freaking out all of Los Angeles County. Didn’t need this while all of us and family are on edge already,’ said another.

I worked for BLM in Alaska for a short time fire fighting (damn near went crazy standing around). I can guarantee the fires that took out villages took out everything in the path buildings trees and autos never did I see wheels under the car melt or the front clip the engine block and the brake calipers melt. All these parts are made of magnesium I dont know the whole story just seems they steer the narrative and are very successful.

I saw a photo taken by an airline passenger during approach to LAX (flight pattern was reversed due to the Santa Ana winds, so the landing planes got a nice tour of the burning areas). It looked like individual fires were set several miles apart in a kind of grid-like pattern in the Hollywood hills, as if someone had set them so they would combine quickly into one bigger fire.
Those are aluminum car wheels and sometimes aluminum engine blocks. The melting point of aluminum is 1,221 degrees Fahrenheit

I got the erroneous evacuation alert (in English & Spanish). I also got the disregard evacuation alert notice, but only in Spanish. I read enough Spanish to be able to get the gist of it, but what the heck?
I went to the website that the evacuation alert referred everyone to (alertla.org). It was an insane mish-mash of tourism information, DEI and other woke crap, some clips of some of the 9 angry lesbians running the area at press conferences, but basically NO useful information.
I was informed that I could get up to $50 of LYFT rides at tax payer expense, if I was caught in a firestorm and needed a ride, if I was low income qualified. I got a list of some museums in LA and beaches I could visit.
These idiots are beyond incompetent. The entire concept of NGOs needs to be eliminated. No tax exemptions or taxpayer funding for cultural marxist organizations! Start with defunding NPR.

On a different post I indicated that the lack of water issue is bogus, further stating at almost ever single home owner appeared to have a swimming pool. I mentioned how a cheap Harbor Freight 2″ 158 GPM, or 3″ 290 GPM pump sourced from pool can run a fire hose, like I have, and might have helped save some homes, or at minimum increased evacuation time.

One thing the fireman says is: A fire truck carries around 500 gallons of water. One 40,000 gallon pool, would equal 180 fire truck of water.
My question is: 1) If this was such a great idea, why didn’t the local fire department hold community meeting with residents in high risk areas to educate everyone on how to deploy this solution. 2) Why didn’t fire department draw needed water themselves from pools. (They may have, but I haven’t heard)
