Clinton takes political pandering to new levels of opportunism.  It would appear Hillary is intent on having the insufferable “BLM movement”, and associated activists, become part of her campaign 

(Via Buzzfeed) Hillary Clinton has begun to court leaders in the Black Lives Matter movement — starting at the movement’s biggest gathering ever.

Over the weekend, Clinton’s black outreach director, LaDavia Drane, attended the Movement for Black Lives convention in Cleveland. That visit marked the campaign’s first outreach to the movement, which has seen even wider press coverage in the past week after activists disrupted a presidential forum at Netroots Nation.

That protest has been fresh in the minds of presidential campaigns and many of the at least 1,300 attendees — according to organizers — at the weekend’s convention.

DeRay McKesson is one-half of the most hate-filled, lying and manipulatively destructive force in the U.S.  It was/is DeRay McKesson and Shaun King who promoted all the lies from Ferguson, to Baltimore, to McKinney Texas and Charleston South Carolina.  And more recently the suicide of Sandra Bland….

(Via Mediaite) Few activists in the Black Lives Matter movement have received the sort of glowing accolades from the left as DeRay McKesson. The Huffington Post has declared him “among the most widely recognized and respected young black civil rights activists.” Fortune declared him among the “World’s Greatest Leaders,” The Los Angeles Times hailed him as one of the “new civil rights leaders,” and New York Magazine gave him a fawning profile. Even Hillary Clinton invited him to her campaign (re-re-)launch.

At the same time, few activists have provoked the ire of the right wing to the extent DeRay has. His announcement that he would visit Charleston after the racist murder of nine people spawned thousands of tweets with the hashtag #GoHomeDeray. (more…)

WASHINGTON – A key part of President Obama’s legacy will be the fed’s unprecedented collection of sensitive data on Americans by race. The government is prying into our most personal information at the most local levels, all for the purpose of “racial and economic justice.”

Unbeknown to most Americans, Obama’s racial bean counters are furiously mining data on their health, home loans, credit cards, places of work, neighborhoods, even how their kids are disciplined in school — all to document “inequalities” between minorities and whites.

This Orwellian-style stockpile of statistics includes a vast and permanent network of discrimination databases, which Obama already is using to make “disparate impact” cases against: banks that don’t make enough prime loans to minorities; schools that suspend too many blacks; cities that don’t offer enough Section 8 and other low-income housing for minorities; and employers who turn down African-Americans for jobs due to criminal backgrounds. A ruling this morning from the Wisconsin Supreme Court (read here), rendered official what observers have long known for a long time:

Wisconsin Democrats did, in fact, launch a massive, multi-county “John Doe” investigation of the state’s conservatives, featuring extraordinarily broad subpoenas and coordinated “paramilitary” raids of private homes; the “crimes” that provided the investigation’s pretext were not crimes at all, but First Amendment-protected speech; and the legal theory underpinning the investigation was bunk, “unsupported in either reason or law,” as the court put it.

[…] On October 3, 2013, multiple Wisconsin conservatives were awakened by a persistent pounding on the door, their houses were illuminated by floodlights, and police — sometimes with guns drawn — poured into their homes. Once inside, the investigators turned the private residences of these innocent conservative citizens “upside down,” seeking an extraordinarily broad range of documents and information. These raids were supplemented by subpoenas that secured for investigators massive amounts of electronic information.

Oh goodie, Pope Francis said he interpreted Morales’ gift through the prism of Espinal’s Marxist bent and viewed it as protest art.  I wonder if he’d be similarly accepting of “piss Christ“.

(Via The Guardian) Pope Francis has said he wasn’t offended by the “communist crucifix” given to him by Bolivian president Evo Morales during his South American pilgrimage.

Morales surprised the pontiff with the unusual gift, a crucifix attached to a hammer and sickle, when Francis arrived in La Paz on Wednesday.

The crucifix was a replica of one designed by a Jesuit priest, the Reverend Luís Espinal, who was tortured and killed by Bolivian paramilitary squads in 1980. Francis prayed at the site of Espinal’s assassination upon his arrival in Bolivia. (more…)

Good grief, could this flippin’ preventable murder get any more bizarre?  First we learn Kate Steinle was randomly shot by an illegal alien.  Then we learn ICE had requested notification of his release, which the Sheriff’s Department ignored.  Then the illegal alien claimed he shot Ms. Steinle accidentally while trying to shoot a sea lion (a position he has since modified).  Now it comes out the gun he used actually belonged to a “federal agent”.

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — KRON 4 has learned that the gun used to kill a 32-year-old woman on San Francisco’s Pier 14 belonged to a federal agent.

A Sig Sauer pistol was used in the fatal shooting, a source told KRON 4. The gun was recovered last Thursday in the bay by a police dive team. The source described the weapon as being an expensive, high-end, common police gun.

Another source with knowledge of the investigation told CNN’s Sara Sidner that the gun belonged to a federal agent. (more…)
