I’ve been watching events in the Middle East with particular attention to Libya, you know “Libya”, the homeland of terrorists, the launching place for attacks against America including the bombing of PanAm 103.  Yeah, that Libya.  The one Ronald Reagan bombed even when France refused to allow us to fly through their air space.  The Libya that “Ghadaffi the Crazy” is in charge of.   The Libya that’s an enemy of the United States.  (more…)

Soldiers in the east are saying they no longer back Muammar Qaddafi as the region appears to be in the hands of the protesters. General Soliman Mahmoud al-Obeidy, who joined the growing ranks of Qaddafi dissenters, told Reuters, “He bombs with airplanes and uses excessive force against unarmed people. Good advice... JUPITER — Toward the end of a 90-minute audience Q&A session at Tuesday night’s town hall meeting, U.S. Rep. Allen West, R-Plantation, was asked by former Indian Trail Improvement District board member Christopher Karch whether President Obama is “legally there or not.”
“Who is going to tell us who this man is? Is he legally there or not?” said Karch. “What are we going to do to ensure that, if he isn’t legally there, it doesn’t happen again?”  (more…)

(Investors.com) — According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, state lawmakers have “routinely” been allowed to cast votes by fax or phone in recent years rather than actually appear in the statehouse. Apparently it is a courtesy extended by the majority. A few Democrats were even able to do it Tuesday. But some Republicans are beginning to rethink that practice.  (more…)

CHICAGO – Former White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel was elected mayor of Chicago on Tuesday, easily overwhelming five rivals to take the helm of the nation’s third-largest city as it prepares to chart a new course without the retiring Richard M. Daley.  With 97 percent of the precincts reporting, Emanuel had trounced five opponents with 55 percent of the vote — a margin that allowed him to avoid an April runoff. He needed more than 50 percent of the vote to win outright.  (more…)
