Within 12 hours of the Friday announcement that Canada had walked away from trade discussions with the U.S, we were able to piece together what the four points were. Several people disagreed and claimed something else was involved. Today, Prime Minister Mark Carney affirmed specifically the accuracy of those four points.
While Prime Minister Carney used his verbose gaslighting to describe them, you can listen for yourself. It boiled down to four issues: [1] U.S. streaming services writing code for “search engines” in the French language (cultural issue). [2] The U.S. having a right to reject a trade deal made by Canada with a non-market economy, ie. CHINA. [3] Removal of tariffs on Canadian assembled heavy trucks, semi-trucks and industrial trucks (not in the auto sector). [4] Canada demanding 5% of gross revenues from U.S. tech platforms, with an attitude that U.S. controls North American trade.
You can listen to his own words describing these issues. WATCH:
The United States must, as a matter of U.S. national security and survival, immediately cut all trade ties with Canada completely. I’ll explain why this is so critical and important.
The most appropriate metaphor is the drowning victim (Canada) with an intentionally placed anchor on its foot (China), now becoming a threat to the rescue swimmer (USA). If we don’t cut ties, we risk our own livelihood.
Here’s the four counterpoints:
♦The Stupid French Language thing. The French language stuff was an ancillary aspect where the Canadian Cultural Police were demanding that all U.S. streaming platforms (YouTube, Netflix etc.) must have search engines using the French language so Canadian users can search for stuff to watch using the French language. A ridiculous issue that was not part of the trade discussion, but Mark Carney saw political value in blowing up the issue.
This is really stupid, because when you buy your hardware (TV, Phone, Computer etc.) it asks you what language or country during set up. If you live in France, you put France. The operating system does the rest. We don’t code search engines for French in FRANCE because the OS does it! But Canada was requiring U.S. tech companies (streaming services) to install search features in French [I guess so they can set up the OS in English but get some ancillary feature.] It was a stupid “side paper” in the Intellectual Property sector of the trade discussion.
♦U.S. Right to Limit Canadian Trade Deals. This point is exponentially ridiculous for Canada to be upset about because the current USMCA/CUSMA already has that clause. The U.S (or Mexico) can exit the USMCA if Canada enters into a trade agreement with a “non-market” economy, ie China. [USMCA Sec 32:10]
Canada was already in violation of the USMCA/CUSMA when they entered into a trade agreement with China and agreed to import Chinese EVs. This action triggered the U.S. to become more focused on the stuff Canada was going to import; hence, the renewed emphasis on the clause.
This is critical. It’s not an ancillary issue. The Carney administration had requested “Fortress North America” a synergetic alignment of U.S-Canada trade principles. Canada claimed they wanted a united North American continent against the world on trade. Therefore, this talk of Canada being upset about joint collaboration and agreement on trade agreements with third countries, a point brought up repeatedly by Carney just doesn’t make sense.
If Canada wanted to join a united trade policy for North America, where each nation is anchored to the $31 trillion U.S. market, then each nation in North America must hold the same baseline trade agreement with third parties, other nations. Those were previously agreed principles; until all of a sudden Canada accused the U.S. of dictating terms and violating its sovereignty.
♦U.S. tariffs on Canadian “heavy use trucks”. This is not the “auto sector” despite Canada trying to make heavy duty trucks part of it. These tariffs are on industrial trucks, farm equipment, heavy trucks and semi-trucks. The U.S. said no, these are not autos and auto tariffs do not apply.
The reason is simple. Tractors, heavy industrial trucks, big rigs assembled/built in Canada are compromised when built in Canada. Why? Because they are full of cheap Chinese component goods and parts that wear out quickly. The U.S. wants two things on this issue. Either: (1) Make heavy industrial trucks in the USA, or (2) stop using cheap Chinese component parts. Failing to do so retains tariffs.
The parts that Canada are using are not even available in the USA because we tariff and reject them, so why should we accept them when Canada installs them? Either quit using Chinese parts (hence, the trade alignment against Chinese imports) or accept a tariff equal to the rate we would apply if the product was coming directly from China. This is the USA approach to that specific sector of heavy trucks.
SUMMARY: Yes, the United States dictates the terms for North American trade, because the United States is the overwhelming center of North American trade and consumer spending. The USA is the market, and Canada has an entire economy about the size of Texas. It is ridiculous to contemplate that the Canadian government can dictate terms against the U.S. economy, and we have no option other than to adhere to them out of some demanded politeness.
Enough already. Announce the termination of the USMCA.
- Build a North American fortress.
- Secure the Western Hemisphere.
- Exit NATO.
- Respectfully engage with each bilateral interest as a sovereign nation.

Your four items look great, Sundance. Unfortunately they have many, many domestic enemies.
I’ve said it before….Canada has nothing we need.
Anything we have been getting from them could be produced here.
As a recent transplant to the Iron Range of Minnesota, I can tell you we have all the forest products we need right here and with the S. American oil coming up, we don’t need that.
The iron mines here are hiring which translates to more American made steel.
💯 🎯 Plus now you have Venezuelan heavy crude, Potash from Gabon, and a consortium of about 20 countries that want to sell you rare minerals (which Canada didn’t join).
And there still ain’t no Bauxite in Canada. 😉
Welcome to the Range. I’ve been here about 15 years so far. Minnesota has its down sides, for sure. But so far this hasn’t been the worst place I’ve ever lived.
Get out and enjoy the winter be it snowmobiling, skiing, ice fishing, whatever. I live outside the Cities and you usually will have better winter where you are. If you learn to take advantage of it your quality of life will be much higher . Welcome !
re: “I’ve said it before….Canada has nothing we need.”
Yes, WITH 90% of Canadians living within 100 miles (160 km) of the US border it would appear (should be obvious) THEY need US (the U.S.) rather than vice versa.
https://citizenpass.ca/blog/where-do-most-canadians-live
Well, It is a bit warmer in southern Canada but not by much. But i agree, much more availability of products than out in the hinterland.
Carnage couldn’t wait to run to the media and throw shade at the US, including lying about it being us who blew up the trade talks. Then, for the next several days, he and that mouthy thug Ford were throwing ridiculous bombs right and left.
Now he wants to whine when Bessent and others throw the facts back in his face?
I want to see daily video of Bessent eviscerating Carney until he begs him to stop, then continue the videos for another week just to be sure.
Amen. More truth to the antagonist liar
Excellent work SD.
Indeed. Thank you, Sundance.
Yep. Hilarious 🤣
Loved the yellow submarines meme.
I never grasp the importance of timing on these types of decisions but it seems like the sooner the announcement is made, the better.
1 2 3 and 4 do it now Amen and thanks Sundance be well God Bless
YES !!! YES !!! YES !!!
“Enough already. Announce the termination of the USMCA.
screw number 1 i want an americo fortress.mexico seems on board canada not so much they can keep their cheap chinese crap.other wise yse out of nato AND out of the u.n. and kick em outta here.
Whats looking even better is a great South American Fortress, which is slowly going to happen.
Then Trump should say he is joinig forces with Russia.
Oh that’s 🤣😂
Oh that’s funny
Canada won’t even be able to sell their own assembled Big Trucks to themselves. When’s there’s no need to transport bulk items in large quantities, such as when Canada’s economy crashes, there’s far less need for big trucks
The NAYTOE thing should be no.1
Thank you Sundance.
Some air should have been given to #5, the demands of being a European, faux-Canadian lapdog and toadie.
Now admittedly that might not play as well in the Canadian propaganda state media, but Canadian presstitutes are as bought and paid for as our own, so past time that they begin earning that 30 pieces of silver in latte money.
J
Thank you, Sundance, for explaining this in a very simple way that even I can understand. I am not sure that anyone outside of this group knows anything about it.
” If we don’t cut ties, we risk our own livelihood.”
As sundance has said, it really is that simple.
And the Democrat/Communists are on Canada’s side.
Terminate.
Execute 1-4
💯
More incising analysis, while Joe rogan and Sean Ryan chase subscribers, views, likes and money. Or are they on the payroll too🤔
Canada becoming a US Territory? Just. Wow.
What would we do with the 76 military aircraft?
What would we do with the 45% of their population who are immigrants?
This’ll be fun to unravel.
Interesting days!
🇺🇸✝️🇺🇸
On Day One, I would start by deporting the immigrants!
“…cut all trade ties with Canada completely…”
I’ve rescued someone from drowning before, while others sat close by and laughed as the person bobbed up and down in the water yelling.
No one is going to rescue us = U.S. if we go under. If we don’t cut ties immediately the only people laughing will be our socialist marxist leftist neighbors.
I refuse to call them my fellow countrymen.
did the same with a guy caught in a rip 1/4 mile off kauai’s north coast years back
lucky for him, the lifesaving merit badge taught me the suck, tuck & duck technique, which had to be deployed to make sure we both made it back to the beach safely
it’s sad and criminal seeing the left’s destruction of the bsa, a once great and noble organization, an organization that allowed an ordinary man to save another man’s, a complete stranger’s life
They were forced into believing girls could be boys and boys could be girls long before the left tried to force it on the rest of us.
The left always allows children to be abused first.
“The USA is the market, and Canada has an entire economy about the size of Texas.”
If I were a Canadian, I think I would have been asking politicians for the reasons why this is long ago.
It seems only the provinces west of Manitoba have realized this, but they have had their produce stolen from them for years.
Thank You, Sundance. Carney clearly has NO interest in the Canadian citizens.
Will he be stealing Canadians’ savings as the EU plans to do with that “lazy money”? Good grief these Euro types are out of their minds. They have created nothing but misery. They need God!
The EU is of sound mind. They are Communists and clearly understand they need those savings. It is why Communism always run out of other peoples’ money. See Illinois, New York City, California… See Nike…..
Once the willing starts war with Russia, EU will install capital controls and I would bet CAD follows suit.
I do not understand what is gained by exiting before the midterms. Does that not aid Sewer Rats and The Chamber of Commerce?
Your question seems too vague. Exit what? NATO? The USMCA? Both?
Care to elaborate?
The way I see it is that economic and military power along with sensible and decisive action will win the fight.
One thing seems obvious to me: the E.U., Canada, and multiple forces within our own country are viciously opposed to the MAGA Movement. We must make full use of the power we possess right now and continue strengthening it.
J.M.H.O.
Not just heavy trucks built with Chinese components, anything from China is potentially compromised just by arriving from China on Chinese ships.
https://www.reuters.com/world/china/chinese-shipper-cosco-collects-intel-beijing-with-concealed-equipment-us-2026-09-01/
Most everything China makes is defective. It is the CCP system. In the old days, they shipped the defective stuff with the good stuff. It was the customer’s job to find the bad stuff. No matter the defect, it all got shipped.
“Um, ahh, ahh, um, ahh,” Carney sure spews a lot of gobbledygook to keep from mentioning China.
It’s all those pats on the head from the king Charles III. Affected his brain.
Chinada
Since President Trump likes changing names on things, he should order all of the road signs crossing into Canada changed to Chinada for all of those nice Canadians to see when they cross the border.
Enough already. Announce the termination of the USMCA.
Preach, brother!
Poor Canadians… imagine being controlled by the French!!!!
Do not feel sorry for them. There are not many truly Conservatives. The Canadian right wing is way Left of Center just like Europe. The Right is Socialist and the Left is Communist. It has been a long time coming. Canada lasted longer because of the ability to “free ride” better than the UK and EU.
Hear here! Bravo SD. When do we start Mr. President?! 🙏🏽😎
Remember Trump is not God.. he can’t save us.
Good point! However, these events being played out by The Team are fun to digest. Interesting Times. God’s Blessings!
God anoints individuals for such times.
President Trump is answering the call.
Canada Is Definitely Off Trump’s Christmas Card List
Hard decisions get that label because they are tough to make, and it takes resolve to see them through;
Milt Harris , September 1, 2026
https://canadafreepress.com/article/canada-is-definitely-off-trumps-christmas-card-list
“…
The trade war between the United States and Canada has heated up again, and this time it may be for real. Whose side you’re on will largely depend on which side of the border you’re on, but know this: President Trump gets all of the negative press, and the Carney clown show should be thankful for that, since in his own liberal way he has been poking the bear, instead of doing the best thing for Canada.
Carney, like all liberals, can morph from aggressor/agitator to victim faster than others. Whether it’s their narrow-minded narcissism or some other blind spot that they suffer from, liberals find it impossible to admit that they are wrong about anything, no matter how demented the cause.
On Sunday, Trump made it clear that he has had enough. He posted on Truth Social to blast Canada, accusing them of “ripping us off for decades,” and stating the tariffs are there to make things right.
…”
SD, from your lips to President Trump’s ears.
By creating TDS in canadians, carney has united Albertans with the rest of canada. This will steer the October Alberta referendum against separation.
End USMCA.
Exit NATO
Wrong.
You forgot the mean memes. He’ll negotiate when we stop mocking him and Canada.
https://thehill.com/policy/international/6064407-carney-urges-us-trade-dispute-seriousness/
Meme on!
😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣😂😂
Perfect!
I just spit out my coffee! Thanks for staring my AM with a laugh and a meme!
It is going to be really mean when they do it in French.
Carney tells US officials to stop acting tough, by regurgitating phrases pseudo-tough guys often use.
There’s meme worthy, surely.
I hope that after the midterms Trump goes medieval on all the issues. Trade, immigration, HB1, voting, FBI, CIA, ATF, anchor babies, colleges, Congress (seven ways to Sunday those pricks) the media and few others.
Did congress block the pres from leaving NATO under biden? My memory could be off, but I thought they passed something like that…
Your memory is correct. They did it as a hedge against Trump winning the election and wanted to ensure he couldn’t pull us out of NATO if he won. All to protect the proxy war that is Ukraine.
I think President Trump has options concerning that poltical posture as Comander in Chief. Particularly now that the threat to our country has increased significantly with the E.U. attempting to drag us into war with Russia. If that actually occurs, it will be called WWIII.
Years ago a guy that used to be a friend had been to Canada, saw how cheap pine timber was there compared to Australia and decided to buy container loads and import it to Australia. Which was all well and good, paid for it, got it shipped, containers arrived at his warehouse, found out none of it complied with Australian Building code as far as dimensions went and the only way he could sell it was if it was all re-machined here to the correct dimensions. He did end up with many years of very expensive firewood.
Yep.
Carney’s alligator mouth is overloading his hummingbird ass!
Or is tugboat a$$ is over loading is whale boat mouth……..
Before an election? We’ll lose the Reddit vote!
Can’t someone rework the crying “Leave Brittany Alone” video for him?
Carney is so sad and upset I think he needs MAiD counseling.
Carney thinks trade with China will cause jealousy in America thereby forcing Trump to trade with Canada on Canada’s terms. Boy, is he going to be surprised!
It is a crime on some many levels what’s being done to Canada. But remember, those opposing Trump have the same goals for the US as Carney has for Canada. I have had two major items made in Canada, a Chrysler 300M that was stellar, went 396,000 miles with very little problems until a replacement timing component failed. It is still repairable, if I wished. A Ford truck engine from Windsor has ran excellently for 368,000, still driven nearly daily. Stellar workmanship on both. Offering their industrial base to Chyna piecemeal should be unsurvivable for any leader. But most of our own sold us out well before Carney sold out Canada.
I should have composed and posted a brief study of what Carney did to our industrial base as head of Brookfield Resources. When the nuclear power business was regulated and sued out of existence, Westinghouse Nuclear Energy was no longer able to survive, and became insolvent. Brookfield bought it, getting some very excellent advanced reactor concepts essentially free. This included the AP1000 modular reactor with passive cooling. This reactor is likely to be the workhorse of the new base load power plants in the USA, and much of the world. Accordingly, the production of the reactor components has been moved to Korea. So, the American nuclear power top resource is now a physical product of Korea.
Naturally, the Koreans ripped off the design scaled it up 40%, and started selling it. Lawsuits followed, and the Koreans are being allowed to keep the Westinghouse intellectual property and sell it all over the world, only paying a small royalty to Westinghouse.
Brookfield also owns a series of hydroelectric facilities in Tennessee below Fontana Dam of Western North Carolina. These were formerly owned by Alcoa Aluminum, and as lower quality sources pressured Alcoa’s margins, Alcoa sold of their Topoco hydroelectric company, initially built to power aluminum production at the giant Alcoa Aluminum plant adjacent to the Knoxville airport. Included is the very old Choah Dam, where the jump scene in “The Fugitive” movie with Harrison Ford was filmed.
I could go on, but these illustrate how globalist policy has caused deindustrialization of the United States, and Mark Carney has always been one of the lead vultures, enriching himself from the carcasses he and his ilk have killed.
Just for fairness, I have to mention the American lead vulture, the wonderful, universally loved Bill Gates. Good ole Bill took the US taxpayer up on $4 billion dollars of seed money to establish TerraPower. The product TerraPower has developed is the Natrium reactor, a revival of an excellent GE fast breeder reactor concept from the late 80’s. The reactor can be operated at different power levels and breeding ratios, variable through alternative fuel enrichments. The construction license for the reactor was granted this spring.
The engineering for construction and procurement was being done in Knoxville by Bechtel. TerraPower was outrunning their design progress to push an overly optimistic construction schedule, appearing blind to what they were facing. They are trying to keep the design functions inside the organization, while using premature procurement to help them design the plant. Yes, that makes no sense as a sentence. It makes even less as a strategy. From my perspective of having been involved in engineering and construction of nuclear power plants before any of these people even thought it was a good idea, it seems to me that Terra does not have the experience to undertake the project, and may not have the wisdom to listen to those who do.
Accordingly, Gates personally travel to Korea to arrange for Hyundai to take over engineering and construction responsibilities for the next 8 reactors, both US and global. This occured two weeks ago, after Bechtel had scaled up staff here to perform these functions. So now, that will be done out of Korea it appears. The Hyundai contract includes also the major equipment and component fabrication to also be done in Korea.
Last week, Bechtel refused terms of the unit 1 plant licensed in Wyoming, because unspecified items in the contract were an existential threat to the company, Bechtel that is , and TerraPower was not performing well enough to merit the chance.
I could go on, but this is more than most people care to read or would benefit from. So be advised that our energy independence is not what it seems. We have indeed offshored our electric grid, and it is not getting better soon. Like Tarp, the rest of the world is feeding of our federal budget, being paid to take from us the technology for which they will extract from us a very high price. This administration facilitating this too
Sorry. The truth has no agenda, so it is said.
Very informative post, thank you.
💯 🎯 Outstanding post CET, thank you!
There are far too few in North America who really grasp the pure evil and utterly self-serving nature of Carney.
Coupled with his orders from WEF and CCP, and with the backing of Brookfield, to destroy President Trump’s burgeoning America, I often think he might be the second most powerful, or at least influential, player in the in Western hemisphere.
And he’s been chipping away at our civilization for at least 20 years…
Rush Limbaugh always said if you want to know the answer to anything in life just follow the money.
It’s always about money and these evil people are looting the US taxpayer of every dime we have.
Remember that song;
I am stuck on stupid and stupid’s stuck on me.

Carney needs to have their new love China build a steel bridge to the UK. Brussels. The WEF Globalists expect nothing else.
But if course it will be Trump’s fault. Will the Canadian people ever know what Carney is doing to them ? The American left will use this as an example that Trump is deranged.
When the Canadian and American left own the media , they get to control the narrative. It’s really sad and enraging to see. Trump is 1000% correct and looking out for our Country’s benefit, but it won’t be seen that way. Sad
That is the Cuban Missile Crisis but with battery-powered cars and trucks instead of ICBMs.
A South African colleague one commented that the West’s constant flirtations with socialism and communism could be stopped in its tracks if basic economic theory was included in their maths curriculum, as it was in his country.
I believe the Marxist aligned government stopped that requirement in SA state schools, preferring instead to stress the subject’s role in creating feelings of social inclusivity. I wonder why?
“It is ridiculous to contemplate that the Canadian government can dictate terms against the U.S. economy, and we have no option other than to adhere to them out of some demanded politeness.
Enough already. Announce the termination of the USMCA.
Anyone who is up against a brick wall runs the risk of losing sight of the practical feasibility of their demands: Mr. Incredible lost his grip on reality.
The Canadian government is an enemy of the United States-just as Germany and Japan were our enemies in WW2. The same applies to NATO and the EU.
Treat them accordingly.
And the Canadian people, but they are too engulfed in their ever-increasing TDS to realize.
Mind-boggling ignorance and naivety coupled with their arrogant and condescending perceived moral superiority over Americans will end their once-great country.

Mending Wall
By Robert Frost
Something there is that doesn’t love a wall,
That sends the frozen-ground-swell under it,
And spills the upper boulders in the sun;
And makes gaps even two can pass abreast.
The work of hunters is another thing:
I have come after them and made repair
Where they have left not one stone on a stone,
But they would have the rabbit out of hiding,
To please the yelping dogs. The gaps I mean,
No one has seen them made or heard them made,
But at spring mending-time we find them there.
I let my neighbor know beyond the hill;
And on a day we meet to walk the line
And set the wall between us once again.
We keep the wall between us as we go.
To each the boulders that have fallen to each.
And some are loaves and some so nearly balls
We have to use a spell to make them balance:
‘Stay where you are until our backs are turned!’
We wear our fingers rough with handling them.
Oh, just another kind of out-door game,
One on a side. It comes to little more:
There where it is we do not need the wall:
He is all pine and I am apple orchard.
My apple trees will never get across
And eat the cones under his pines, I tell him.
He only says, ‘Good fences make good neighbors.’
Spring is the mischief in me, and I wonder
If I could put a notion in his head:
‘Why do they make good neighbors? Isn’t it
Where there are cows? But here there are no cows.
Before I built a wall I’d ask to know
What I was walling in or walling out,
And to whom I was like to give offense.
Something there is that doesn’t love a wall,
That wants it down.’ I could say ‘Elves’ to him,
But it’s not elves exactly, and I’d rather
He said it for himself. I see him there
Bringing a stone grasped firmly by the top
In each hand, like an old-stone savage armed.
He moves in darkness as it seems to me,
Not of woods only and the shade of trees.
He will not go behind his father’s saying,
And he likes having thought of it so well
He says again, ‘Good fences make good neighbors.’
A nation that won’t protect its interests … deserves the consequences. Terminate the poisonous agreement!
Like a teenager who had their free cellphone taken away
Canadada under City of London command…will they invite Chinese military ?
But the real reason Carney quashed relations is the EU ordered him to.
