A long, long time ago…
I can still remember how Trump’s words used to make me smile.
And I knew if he had his chance…
That he could make the folks advance…
And maybe they’d be happy for a while.
But ‘26 makes me shiver…
With every vote the Dems deliver.
Bad news on the doorstep…
I couldn’t take one more step.
I can’t remember if I cried…
When I read about the Dem landslide.
But something touched me deep inside…
The day my Country died.
Quitters never win – winners never quit.
God never gives up on us. Speaking for myself I’ll never give up on Him.
Nor will I ever give up on my nation.
To do the first is to surrender one’s soul. To do the second is to surrender one’s life and that of all those they hold dear.
There is nowhere to run. There’s no human cavalry coming over the horizon.
It’s just us. No matter how great they are, no singular human can save us – only we can save ourselves.
It starts inside ourselves and spreads outward – first to our family and friends – then to our community – then to our county – state – nation. I’ve always pounded the table on this – it truth hasn’t changed. Don’t look for a knight in shining armor – be one for those close to and around you.
If you’re unwilling to do so, then you are accepting permanent defeat – and what will become a living hell. Would bet there are a lot that think the last as exaggeration – if so, look at the UK – or France – or Canada – then realize they have it good compared to how it will become if you give up.
Satan is an eternally-defeated foe, but he never quits.
Have you ever seen Democrats quit? EVER?
So why are you quitting?
Turning this around depends on us taking ACTION, all of us.
Organize. Educate. Donate. Get involved. If you lack the physical capacity to knock on doors, the Internet is your answer. Zoom is your answer. X Spaces is your answer. Be an influencer in your home, your neighborhood, your town, your county, your state, your nation.
Don’t rely on others to do it. Do it yourself.
Never quit.
