As CTH has noted since last October the rapid increases in fertilizer costs could potentially create a major issue for global food supplies later this summer. As the farming costs continue escalating, including fertilizer and diesel fuel prices, this will eventually lead to major price increases on the harvests. Field to fork inflation is looking increasingly severe later this year; what we have called the third wave of inflation.
Beyond prices, a primary impact in the U.S. market, concerns are now escalating about grain shortages {SEE HERE} and lower European crop yields which will lead to less food products on a global basis. According to information shared by ZeroHedge, “We think it will take at least 2-3 years to replenish global grains stocks,” Illinois-based CF Industries Holdings Inc.’s president and chief executive officer Tony Will said in a statement in Wednesday’s earnings report.”
Axios is reporting on the continued escalation of fertilizer prices; however, they conveniently and purposefully avoid noting the origin of the problem in North America is directly the result of Joe Biden’s immediate energy policies that drove up the costs of natural gas (a critical component):
AXIOS – “Skyrocketing fertilizer costs — like those made from nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK) — are driving up food prices and, worse, threatening food security around the globe.
State of play: Prices for NPK were up 125% in January from a year before, and rose another 17% from the beginning of the year to March, according to data compiled by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI).
-
- The looming European ban on Russian natural gas (a critical component in manufacturing some fertilizers) could worsen the situation.
- “We’re in a dire situation right now,” said Svein Tore Holsether, the CEO of fertilizer maker Yara International, at a seminar hosted by IFPRI this week.
- If farmers use less fertilizer, they can’t produce as many crops — and that raises the specter of “malnutrition, political unrest and, ultimately, the otherwise avoidable loss of human life,” Bloomberg reported.
The big picture: Prices for these heavily traded raw materials were already rising in 2021, because of a myriad of factors: Hurricane Ida in the U.S., an upsurge in demand after the pandemic, supply chain issues, and rising natural gas prices that predated the war in Ukraine. (more)
It is clear to see the lower price of fertilizer when President Trump triggered U.S. energy independence through his use all resources method of energy development. Oil and natural gas prices dropped significantly as a part of the Trump energy policy which was directly connected to the his overall U.S. America-First economic policy.
We went from Trump inspired energy independence, low gasoline prices and the stable export of liquified natural gas (LNG) – to energy dependence, high gasoline prices and extreme increases in natural gas prices as a direct result of Joe Biden energy policy.
The downstream consequences of energy policy are extremely severe. Higher energy costs, higher petroleum costs, higher transportation costs and higher raw material costs drive inflation on all manufactured goods, including farm products.
The energy policy is not a mistake. These economic outcomes are a direct result of Joe Biden executing his Green New Deal / Build Back Better energy policy. Shortages of food are an outcome of chasing the climate change unicorn energy policy.
Yes, there is a direct connection between climate change energy policy and people starving around the world as a result of it.
Fears of global grain costs and shortages will soon become reality beyond fear.
Food shortages, hunger, misery, disease and death are the hallmarks and successful achievements of ‘Progressive’ governments worldwide, both currently and i. the past.
These outcomes are features of their oppressive rule not flaws.
As well we should know!
Holodomor II. This one on a global scale. Intentional and monstrous.
Yes
Just remember, China began hoarding grain a year ago. Reminiscent of them hoarding the PPE as the virus was released.
Things that make you go “Hmmmmmmmmmmm”
Yeah, sure, this is all coincidence.
The Morons on the left suggest using manure instead of phosphate, nitrogen, etc.
It must be awfully hard on those cows, having had their butts zippered up all this time.
What farm animals are you talking about? The democrats, Bill Gates and other anarchist green weenies want them gone completely.
Heh…they want to keep a few in their private preserve to satisfy their personal appetite for meat and dairy products.
We will be required to go green….not them.
Their appetite is for children.
They are for dessert and after dinner entertainment.
“Babyback ribs!”
Yep! They will still stuff down their Kobe Beef and their $16.00 pint of ice cream. But they will still crap it out just like us average schlubs do.
I completely agree.
The moronic leftists need to crap and bag their own manure.
Sorry for the old war story…when I was stationed in Germany 1978-1982, saw many honey wagons on the road and in the fields with animal or HUMAN waste spraying the fields near our Kaserne.
Traveled through 172 countries, depending on how you count, but that’s just about everything from the shores of Morocco to the farthest reaches of Indonesia. A few lessons learned: 1) Never go anywhere without Immodium AD and Ciprofloaxin; 2) always brush your teeth with beer; 3) don’t ask too many questions about the meat that you’re eating; 4) pack lots of hand sanitizer, and use it every single time you touch currency in one of these exotic locales; 5) have a list on your person of doctors in any of these countries that are approved by your HMO, or even the US government. 6) Expect to get sick in Nepal. Everyone gets sick in Nepal.
Well, some of them have suggested that.
And it IS done in some countries.
And composting toilets are actually in use in some places, too!
They do. It’s called milorganite.
And Old Milwaukee.
Lol… and schlitz
There’s nothing wrong with using Manure when mixed into your soils, Bone meal, blood meal, plant lime, real fish (Plant lime kills the odor). These are all good things to use if you have a home garden.
I know cows and chickens–but HUMAN “manure”???
lol, not Human!
Yes, human! Done PROPERLY there is NOTHING wrong with it.
Only when done IMPROPERLY, is it a problem, whether with human OR animal “waste”.
My mom used to have Asian neighbors that owned a Chinese restaurant.
They had a yellow lab and we’d see them tossing the dog’s poop into their garden.
They were very kind and offered my mom beans they grew and she’d toss them.
We always wondered if they used the veggies they grew at their restaurant.
Cities process their sewage and sell it for agricultural use . It includes everything people flush down the toilet, like cleaning products, expired pills and all that bleached wood pulp we call toilet paper. That stuff grew much of the produce you buy in the supermarket.
When we have our septic pumped, our pumper sprays it on the fields of farmers with whom he has an agreement. When he can’t get in the fields (too wet), then he has to take it to a waste water treatment plant in a nearby (small) city. He charges us more if we have it pumped during a time when he cannot get in the fields. So, yes….human manure……
They want us to eat bugs.
They don’t want us to eat at all.
Very true.
Why don’t they add birth control to the water in countries that feel birth control is against their religion?
It seems it would be easier and way less messy to control the world’s population before conception than to abort, starve, and kill humans later.
You cannot just use cow poop and obtain maximum yield.
All soils are not the same and plant needs very by variety.
Fertilizers contain primary nutrients, secondary nutrients and micronutrients.
Fertilizer needs may change from growth stage to seed stage. This is how you achieve maximum yields.
If you do not have commercial fertilizer, you need a lot more land to produce the same yield as before. The cost of farming more area with lower yields will necessarily force food prices higher. People will only grow what makes money. No money, no till.
Saying we can get by on cow poop is like saying we have the technology for electric cars, thus problem solved!
It was that Samantha Powers dude that suggested farmers use manure and composting.
Friggin idiot has no clue about how this would be done by a farmer on 3000 acres of wheat.
It’s not like Farmer Bob is growing wheat in a window box from his third floor flat in SoHo.
Shipping costs have ARTIFICIALLY gone up and in the US there are arbitrary boycotts by shippers (e.g. the Union Pacific Railroad).
Supply is down from regions in turmoil and war.
Note that 4 of the recent 17+ Food Manufacturing Facility “mishaps” in the US were Fertilizer related.
Certain “Western Governments (US and Canada) are passing regulations to stifle domestic production further.
This also means that people won’t be able to afford to feed their animals. Prices for animal feed go up weekly. I decided to stock up for my animals, but it won’t last the year.
#FJB and the horse he rode in on.
That horse’s name is Election Fraud.
…and that election fraud horse, was carried by 2000 mules.
https://rumble.com/search/video?q=2000%20mules
Not a horse, but 2000+ mules.
We own a small cattle farm and sell to people that want clean meat. The prices have skyrocketed for non-GMO grain, and the rain seems to be passing us up every time, especially when there are Chem-trails all over the sky the day before. Klaus Schwab, Bill Gates, Soros and the entire WEF want America to starve.
Local farmers are beginning to sell of their beef herds because of the price of feed and fertilizer for pasture.
OH NO!!!!
Now Pot prices are going to soar! What will the commie scumbags do now?
Well, the upside is Bullshit will go up in price….
OOHRAH, Jarhead! I retired in 99. MGySgt.
This is all part of Obama’s Plan to destroy our economy so that it can miraculously rebuilt with generosity and total control from Washington starring his favorite person, himself, as benevolent absolute dictator. The camel has a lot more than his nose under the tent.
Yes. It’s not hard to imagine something like “I’m sorry, you do not qualify for food rationing. You own equity in your own home. You should sell that to buy food! And when that’s all gone, THEN you can qualify.”
OR, “you’re too old, food is for those who produce”. Wait for it.
It won’t be too much longer until whoever is president of the United States will be recognized as a governor of a state within the new world order. Retaining national sovereignty for any nation will be out of the picture. Russia is a sovereign nation led by a proud nationalist. The USA under Trump was and, hopefully, will be again a sovereign nation with solid borders and laws.
It is not simply our economy that Obama and his fellow traveler globalists want. They want to end national sovereignty and personal sovereignty.
Watch this, you will thank me for it! If you don’t have patience watch from 15 minutes
Yeppers. I caught the last 1/2 of it live today then went back and watched the entire thing.
As the title tells us, “You have been warned!”
The Podesta surprise caused me to gasp. Truly.
Yes, and let is not forget Pizza-Gate!

None are elected! They can go to hell!
and yet most of the elected ‘leadership’ follows the game plan.
Ignoring the opposition only serves to reinforce their position.
The U.N. and the WEF are signing a joint understanding of Agenda 2030.
Darn, I regret not purchasing a great buy on a large amount of flour a couple weeks ago. I saw the expiration date and didn’t think I’d be able to use it in time considering I have three other pounds of it. Now I read I could have put it in the deep freezer.
Monkey is one of the few. GOD bless his work and obviously HE does!
Kinda looks like the Strategic Oil Release that went to Europe was for the war with Russia.
WOU to advance date on Agenda 2030. Cat’s out of the bag, they are going for total control before the populist uprising.
Damn these SOB’s are Evil.
When he refers to Flash Bang I figure he is referring to Joe Biden.
But who is ‘Bob Marley’ that he refers to? It must be a high ranking US official but who?
Kamala Harris, “acting V.P.”
(She is from Jamaica. ‘Bob Marley’)
Monkey uses this “coded” terminology to avoid having You Tube banning his podcasts.
[She is not a “Natural Born ” U.S. citizen. Both of her parents were foreign students at the time of her birth and living in student housing in California. Father a student from Jamaica and a descendant of slave traders. And her mother is from India (neither are “Black”.) . Her parents divorced when she was young and spent most of her time growing up in Canada. People are still trying to determine when/if she ever became a U.S. citizen.]

Got it. Thx!
One question never asked :
Where is ” their ” food stored ?
Their food is our food. When rationing begins, the party members get theirs first and anything else is rationed to the peasants. This is how it has worked in communist regimes forever and how it works here as well. After all, who were the people exempt from Obamacare? The lawmakers who voted it into being. The population should have risen up with torches and pitchforks over such obvious garbage. But near silence.
To a point , but they know they are vastly outnumbered. Thinking they have a “retreat” to go to.
How many Mt. Weathers are there ?
Tell that to the N.Koreans, the Chinese and the creatures of the former Soviet Union. Doesn’t matter if you’re outnumbered if you’ve got a monopoly on force and a majority of people unwilling to fight for their own lives.
Many, Totally self sustaining with food production facilities.
They aren’t telling.
When leftists saw Soylent Green, they were inspired.
Or.
You will eat your bugs and you will be happy.
“Soylent Green” like “1984” were taken as instructional media by the Left. Some of us considered them warnings to take heed, while a vast majority simply took them as pure fictional entertainment.
1984 was written by a member of the Fabian Society. They’re socialists. It was merely a peak into the future they’re planning for us.
Indeed. And yet Orwell had enough awareness to notice the left was chock full of crazy people with totalitarian impulses. That awareness may have developed during the Spanish civil war and the behavior of the left (people like the communist Lincoln Brigade).
Don’t forget “Rules For Radicals”. That’s their playbook that got us here.
Some say James Burnham’s “The Managerial Revolution”(1941) was the inspiration for 1984.
Orwell criticized it more then once and in depth. Burnham also wrote “The Machiavellians”.
Burnham mentions technocracy in his book, but this excerpt gives you a glimpse of 1984.
“Without rapid transportation and communication it was comparatively easy for men to keep many of their lives, out of reach of the government. This is no longer possible, or possible only to a much smaller degree, when governments today make deliberate use of the possibilities of modern technology.” – James Burnham, The Managerial Revolution, 1941
Have you ever read Ted Kaczynski’s manifesto?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/national/longterm/unabomber/manifesto.text.htm
The story in Soylent Green took place in the year 2022.
Policy is intent. It does not matter that they deny the intent. When they can see the results of the policy and continue or even double down on it, the intent speaks for itself and the policy makers are proven liars.
Like Jim Rickards, I’m sure most of you have been doing this and more.
I too have been investing into food. My wife doesn’t quite understand but she’s reluctantly going along with it. We need about three times what we have now. I’m looking at winter.
Try to help her understand using articles from Sundance. Try to wrap your head around to 100% understanding so that you can explain it, like tying shoe laces to a child. I mean no insult when I say that!
When someone can fully grasp and explain it onward, it becomes natural.
I’m fortunate that my wife has been on board with “prepping” since we were married in 1980. In many cases, it has been a function of “whatever we purchase today, will only be more expensive tomorrow”…and inflation always outpaces the value of most money vehicles.
I wouldn’t be in the market for freezers. If a food shortage hits, expect the electrical grid to be in trouble. If you have a gas powered generator for your freezers, make sure you have enough gas stored to run the thing.
Buy glass jars and learn to can.
Buy canned food and dry food. Plant a garden.
Basically, we are going old school. It isn’t bad. That is how many of us were raised.
Trust me, done all what you just described plus… Freeze drying all our fresh eggs, vegetables, milks, fruits, etc.
I’ve known for years what was coming and people used to laugh and call us “Preppers”. I call it “Smart” as F.
I agree. Here is a Prepper from 1886… top row… far left… hand gesture.
🤣. Even back in 1886…..
(I had to zoom in to see his middle finger salute..)
my challenge when weekly shopping is to buy the specials not rising so fast in price from each store plus 1-2 items canned /packaged for future use eg publix this week is 1.29 for chicken legs lettuce 2-3.00 sk light tuna 4 pk 2 for 6.00 and soup 59 cents two are fresh and two for future i want to thank blogger who told me about using chunky meat soups over rice for a quick hot meal and using sweetened condensed milk to make rice pudding it is 1.25 at dollar tree we trumpers help each other God bless
One EMP and it’s gone. Better buy a canner and lots of jars as insurance.
Bite-Me is too far gone, mentally, to begin to comprehend what this article and the comments are talking about. Obama, on the other hand, who is the ventriloquist for Sock Puppet Bite-Me, is well aware of the consequences of these actions and is celebrating. Pure evil; the direct result of virtue signalling white do-gooders in 2008.
It’s great the underlying issues of the coming global food shortages have been identified. What this all boils down to is the intentional global crisis specifically created by the WEF puppets so their ultimate plan of a one world government can be realized. If there were no crisis, no one with a functional brain would pay one bit of attention to the emerging leadership of the anti-christ. There is no other encompassing explanation but the fulfillment of Biblical Prophecy.
Classic Communism, kill off as many people as you can before assuming total control.
But hey, Let’s use more Corn in our Fuel so we can lower the price of a gallon of gas by .10…..15% ethonal will destroy most gas engines, especially marine outboards and Lawn equipment….Who needs to feed the Livestock anyway??? sar/
Only a fraction of the feed value of the corn is removed for ethanol. The remainder is made into animal feed.
Maybe we can get the fed to print up some energy and fertilizer. Lord knows we have quite a bit of the latter in DC.
I believe the BRICS Nations could not stand the slow “Death by a thousand cuts” that this Biden Administration is doing to America and decided to speed things up.
The Federal Reserve has no tools, the Government borrows incessantly and the Fed keeps trying to play catch up.
China holds $1.092 Trillion in Tbills, down from $1.3T and if they offload in one fell swoop, their economy crashes along with the west.
We are going to see a Western Global depression, the BRICS Nations do NOT need us any longer. BRI has been playing out longer than most truly understand.
prepare and the prepare some more.
China’s Belt and Road Initiative’s financing is in eurodollars. Their Tbills are collateral to keep their eurodollar denominated banking system functioning.
So you definitely understand. China has a ways to go before they become the financial capital of the world no doubt.
We will see even more “Governments do whatever they want” when they’ve lost complete control of the global Dollar Reserve and that’s why WW3 is a very serious matter now.
There is only one Historical event where a country used atomic bonds on another country, so using history as my guide, I’m betting I know who would do it again first.
Eurodollars are all about collateral. In a low priced commodity world, the collateral was provided by the US Fed. With the price of commodities high, and in dollars, I expect there is less need for collateral to come from the US Fed. Properly managed, China can make inroads into the eurodollar banking fraternity by banking on third world commodity producers… the focus of the belt and road initiative.
China and Russia can finance Russian oil development using eurodollars from India (and others).
Japan knows this.
The WH garden will have plenty of natural fertilizer this year…Excess when Hillary visits and brings her colostomy bag.
The transition of the world we are all experiencing is outlined here.
“WEF people have been trained to believe in and support a globalist form of unelected government, in which international business is at the center of the management and decision-making process. They have been trained to advance the interests of a global transnational government which represents a public-private partnership in which the business interests of the WEF members take precedence over the constitution of the United States. The WEF believes that the concept of independent nation states is obsolete and must be replaced with a global government which controls all. They are fundamentally anti-democratic, and their views are both fundamentally corporatist and globalist, which is another way of saying that they are for totalitarian Fascism – the fusion of the interests of business with the power of the state- on a global scale. These people do not represent the interests of the nation-state in which they reside, work, and may hold political office, but rather their allegiance appears to be to the WEF vision of a dominant world government which has dominion over nations and their constitutions.”
You will own nothing…….
Malone has done an outstanding job:

Correction: It’s not due to Biden’s policies. Obama and Jarrett are running the country. Biden is a sick joke of a frontman. The only thing Biden is doing in the white house is soiling his underwear.
If the Chinese can’t feed their people, what then?
The Co-Vid lockdowns so easily morph into the anti-food riots lockdown.
The Irish potato famine, at the time, happened in near-obscurity. A few travelers passing through the isolated rural areas of Ireland reported back to England what was happening. The English were only mildly concerned, and certainly didn’t think the mass starvation of the Irish peasant class was their problem to solve.
Would CNN report on mass starvation in the heartland of America?
The obsession with misinformation, and the obsession with over-population, so dominant in the hearts and minds of the Democrat billionaire class, may find their conjunction, their useful synergy, in the denial of the mass starvation of the common people of the earth, including America.
Something massive is happening.
Ministry-Of-Nina will say all talk of food shortage / famine is ‘disinformation’.
It won’t be in the heartland.
And the Heartland needs to remember history.
When governments would –and did–raid the farms for food to “redistribute “.
So the Democrat cities will go hungry?
So the CNN reporters will wend their way through food riots on their way to work, then studiously not report them?
Not a plausible scenario.
I believe it was here at the CTH where a chart showed China and Russia had been stockpiling corn for the past 2 years.
Long before the average citizen starts to see food shortages we need to cut off DC and give them a taste of what’s coming.
And energy / gasoline / diesel hits us numerous times in the supply chain process. Right?
– Fertilizer costs.
– Producing the raw product (say sugar cane or beets).
– Transporting sugar to the intermediary factories.
– Then possibly to finished goods.
– Then to market.
I noticed 5.97/gallon for diesel fuel today. That cost affects everything. I wouldn’t worry except for the fact we can no longer trust elections to get rid of these freaks that have taken over.
Some countries in Europe, like Hungary and Croatia, whose presidents Orban and Milanovic have been put on Ukraine’s enemies list (an essential declaration of war), are fighting back on the fossil fuel embargo now being discussed by
suicidal Germany.
For a clearer picture of how fractured Europe has become on this and other issues, I suggest visiting Gates of Vienna. The information one gets from reading the commentary there is essential information one will absolutely not get in the US media.

When you incite war with those who produce or provide ingredients for fertilizer and set fertilizer plants on fire–prices do tend to rise. Makes me think somehow of gas “shortages” and chicken “shortages.”
Read up on the North Korean defectors and why they have intestinal worms. Doctors attribute the worms to human fertilizer.

How is there an uptick in demand with 15 million excess deaths in the same time period? .gov stockpiling to take it out of citizen supply? I see nefarious actions, real or suspected, everywhere about now…too much coordination.
A proxy war in started in Europe and 100 million people died….elsewhere.
Someone is reporting that India may not export its wheat this year, and keep it for its own people. Force majeure seems to be building strength globally.
Right to reply: Here are more details, from Seeking Alpha, an investment web site.
“… India, a major world producer, is considering restricting exports due to a drought that threatens its output…India cut its wheat production forecast to 105M metric tons from 111.3M tons estimated in February, potentially marking the country’s first drop after five straight years of record harvests.”
“”A wheat crop less than 100M tons would forece India to become a significant importer in the world market at a time when Black Sea wheat exports are severely restricted by the Russian war against Ukraine,” AgResource said.””
We are also in solar minimum for the next few years this also affects the yield of crops. Talk about going in the wrong direction this is playing Russian roulet with an automatic weapon.
Plus, according to Armstrong economics, Socrates is seeing another dust bowl starting in 2025 thru 2027.

Africa is going to be devasted.
As we speak, I have seen estimates that as many as 1 billion, 300 million go to bed hungry each night. This catches the globalists between a rock and a hard place. The very people whom they want to overwhelm North America and Europe are the ones most at risk of death through starvation as a result of their policies. How will they kill us off to make way for the new serfs needed to do the grunt work in their neo-feudalist society? This is the question that most matters to us here at the Treehouse.
Inquiring minds want to know.
We are talking about ‘chemical fertilizer’, right.
Chemical fertilizers do not improve soil conditions and does nothing to help with future use of the land. Meaning, you have to continue to dump the chemical on the land every year. Its well known, that you get build up of other chemicals just to name two, arsenic uranium.
Natural fertilizer, puts out more nutrients into the produce and builds them up into your land over time and there is no chemical build up. Lets face it, we have been duped to believe a lot of non-sense and Guano (crap ) is the best. To quote a brilliant man, ” That makes a lot of sense, a lot of non-sense “.
The old ways, especially with farming are the best ways. This is about what we end up eating. Around where I live we have tonnage in cows horses chickens crap. A few years back a guy was trying to give it away, now he is charging, why not. He works it in to the dirt, he keeps churning it up and its brown gold.
The big corporation have made easy for use to be stupid. Make it a convenience and then it becomes a necessity.
There is quite a difference in homestead level agriculture and commercial farming. If the world did not have chemical fertilizers and glyphosate, and GMO grains, the starvation would be much worse and would have already begun. It is the use of those things that feeds the world.
Quick question: How many tons of nitrogen are needed for an acre of corn that produces 300 bushels of corn per acre? Where will we get the natural fertilizer for that much nitrogen?
By the way, chemical fertilizers are not poison. There are three basic “chemicals” required: nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus plus some trace elements. The term “chemical fertilizer” was used to make it sound scary. It is exactly the same “chemicals” taken from the natural fertilizers except natural fertilizers are much more labor intensive to use. Modern fertilizers are sterile and quite efficient. The organic matter needed in the soil is retained using good farming practices. No farmer depletes his land. His land is the source of his wealth and he treats it like an investment.
While I understand what you are talking about, I do believe Loren is referring to ammonium nitrate which is a salt. Salting the ground longterm is never a good idea. Salts kill biodiversity and thereby destroy the living biome if done long enough. Bacteria, earthworms, etc will be knocked back leaving the land vulnerable due to its inability to then do things like compost the prior years biomass back into nutrients for the soil to continue the life cycle. Then, when both chemical fertilizers, and remaining naturally available NPK are depleted with no life in the dirt to replenish nutrients for life to continue and salts remain that need broken down somehow….you end up with dead land.
While I understand all the above it then becomes a question of time. How long does it take for the salts to accumulate to a point of no return? You don’t want to get there but then suppose you do or you’re already there – how long until, and by what methods can biodiversity be reintroduced into the soil to sustain life again?
You said it better than I did!
When the soil goes gray, you have a problem. They are just using the soil (dirt) to hold the seed till it pops and then all the injected chemical fertilizer feeds the plant and then its gone needing another injection the next time around.
If people looked into it they would find AstraZeneca has a big stake in chemical fertilizers companies?
I do not dispute the possibility of higher yields!
I look at chemical fertilizer like this vaccine.
You inject this vaccine destroying your immune system and then you need to continue to need boosters to keep your immune system working. Because your immune system was destroyed by the vaccine. It become a vicious circle.
The chemical fertilizer need to be injected into the soil every year or before every planting, why. Because it does not improve the soil it just proved nutrients for the plants that were just planted. Seeds do not need fertilizer to pop open, that is the job of heat and moisture, the plant needs it nutrients.
Quick question: Why would think its a good idea to subvert what God created to perfection. Do you think he made a mistake? Do you think we have to amend it with our factory made chemicals?
Yields are one thing, health is another. God made food to keep our earthly bodies healthy, not necessarily to just fill an empty belly, BurgerKing and McDonald’s can do that.
Fertilizer is needed every year whether you use chemical fertilizers or more natural ones. Removing tons of product from the fields requires that the nutrients be replaced.
As for perverting God’s creation, God cursed man to hard work fighting weeds and and thorns as a price for providing sustenance. There has always been a balance in providence of God and the needs of His creation to survive. We have become a world that relies on a very small percentage of people to provide the food for everyone. God has blessed us with the ability to develop technology to make that happen in almost exactly the amount needed to maintain that balance of sustenance.
Here is the problem you need to address. If everyone is going to eat, it is necessary to use technology to do that. Even then the balance is precarious. Who would you eliminate to be able to balance production and demand on that production? We could have a world that operated exactly as you wish. It will have a lot fewer people and a much greater percentage would be required to battle the curse of Adam to stay even.
Finally, yield is everything. We first must have enough to go around. That comes from yield. High quality food would be good, but there would not be as much of it. Which would you prefer? Lower quality food and everyone gets just enough or high grade foods in which some do without and die? Fertilizers, chemicals and diesel are expensive. If we could do it without them, we would.
You are welcome to grow whatever you want however you want. You are free to seek out producers that produce the way you want. I don’t blame you. But, if the world is to get fed what will likely be a lower quality food, then the technology is what we have. We have a lot of people in our area that do exactly as you desire. They are called Amish.
Just because science says we need: masks, vaccines, lockdowns, all be vegetarians, or that cows create global warming, does not mean science is right. The same scientist (“Big Pharma, Big Ag”, colleges) have convinced us we need to farm one way to feed the world. Do some research on practices that produce more and healthier food per acre than what Big Ag pushes.
Granted, we can not just flip a switch today and go back in a short amount of time. However, we have to realize that Big Ag and Big Pharma work together to make us sick, diabetic, and then provide a pill, medicine for that…
Well, I for one do not believe the world is over populated.
When you say technology, you are talking about tractors harvesters spreaders and the like. Technology is not plant food.
Obviously, your premise is not my premise and my not yours! That is OK, because I agree with some of what you are saying.
The curse, that is pesticides not fertilizers, that is whole different subject.
What we have been subjected to is mismanagement, mismanagement of water land. A world covered by water and we have water shortage, unreal. Land sitting unused because we allow them to remain deserts. Look at the ‘deserts’ when they have one of those years where they receive an abundance of water, they bloom things grow and people look at it as if its a miracle. And if you look down on earth out in the Nevada desert you will see those green round circles, alfalfa growing in 90 to 100 degree temps day after day. Lots of land not even used. Lots of water not even used. But, we do have billion and trillions to throw at war.
Mismanagement by design or just plain stupid fueled by greed, probably bought.
Bro, my family has been farming and ranching in Kansas since the 1850s. We own 20 sections and lease another 8.
You know a lot, and I’ll grant you that. However, you completely lost me at “yields are everything”. If they are then we are doomed to a failed planet. You cannot salt the earth forever in search of yields. We are in the CRP program and legitimately rotate crops then give acreage a rest every 7 years. We use manure from our dairy and cattle operations to supplement the fields. We are a large scale farmer in Kansas and we don’t even view things as you do. Technology has yet to produce anything good over a long time horizon. I’d love for you to show me a cost effective NPK that doesn’t involve salts that technology has brought us, because again we can’t salt the earth forever. Yields will absolutely decrease without further engineering that likely reduce the quality of nutrients we put in our bodies.
Bad governments cause much of the starvation problem my friends.
They killed millions with their bioweapon called “COVID 19” they will kill millions more. It is in their blood like the Khmer Rouge.
Gasoline just hit $3.99.9/gal where I live just west of Houston! All the major refineries in the country are just down the road east of Houston and I’m getting charged $4.00 a gal. So it has to be higher elsewhere! America has enough oil and gas reserves, shale oil reserves and coal deposits to keep the country’s economy running for the next 100 years! Venezuela has the most oil reserves in the world and look what the left has done to that country!!! That’s what illegitimate ChiCom Joe is doing here using the Venezuela developed Dominion Voting systems!!! Not only was the Presidency stolen so was the Senate and probably the House as well!!! Climate change is a hoax as is the Green New Deal! There are no sustainable energy substitutes for fossil fuels, there just aren’t and saying there are is “disinformation”!!! God help us! Hosanna!
Interesting. Here in semi-rural Kentucky we are still at $3.90 with some places just turning over to $4 . Something is amiss in Texas.
Prices are the same in south central Wisconsin… ~$3.90 and other areas turning over to $4.00 (if they weren’t already).
$4.29 for 87 octane in southern AZ.
As Sundance has said in the past, some people make it a point of not knowing certain things. Emily is one of them…
Not to worry! Obesity will remain the nation’s #1 health problem.
Their next move is to starve half the world out and then immigrate them to Western Nations at a rate never seen before.
Or is the goal to starve and destroy the middle MAGA class?
I THINK where this is going; a supplement to Global er Climate change is needed, and wacko scientists have already provided it.
It uses scewed computer modeling, to assert that a World population of 10 billion is the “magic #” that the earth can not feed.
Once it is reached, in 28 years, 247 days (I kid you not!) catastrophe will occur.
This is much like the Hubberts peak, that predicted Oil reserves would run out in 2000, plunging the World into catastrophe.
Anyway, having totally man made food shortages will persuade the dumbest, that this bogus prediction is REAL, it is Global Warming/Climate change, 3.0.
Yes, they really are the Insane Idiots In Charge, and they really DO believe we are that stupid.
And they will no doubt aggressively destroy ANY scientist or not, who tries to dispute this rediculous prediction, and CLAIM a Concensus,..we’ve seen this play before, and its getting REALLY tiresome.
” Peak-Oil ” was the catch phrase 10-15 years ago. Now its peak food. Was it to ” sell ” the push for all things green energy and to advance The 2030 Agenda ?
Naaaaaaaaa…… just a conspiracy theory , right ?
” When looking for a new enemy to unite us , we came up with the idea that global warming , pollution , water shortages , FAMINE and the like would fit the bill ”

Georgia guidestones. They’ve told us what they’re going to do, repeatedly. Most of us just continue to think “Naw. NOBODY is THAT evil.”
Our neighborhood landscape contractor (big contractor) buys Roundup by the flat. He said last year he paid $4800 for the flat, this year his price is over $13,000. Wow. Crops are gonna cost a lot more by harvest time.
Plenty of fertilizer in DC, just need to scoop them up, transport, process and spred.
Supply and demand. The WEF is working on cutting demand.
The shortages will be magnified as the west continues to dry up oil supplies to the third world.
They won’t need petroleum fertilizers when they can’t even operate tractors / farm equip. without diesel.
The inputs are only loosely related to pricing. A manufacturer takes what it costs to produce a widget and determines what he must sell that widget for to make money. The farmer spends money to buy seed, fertilizer, diesel, equipment and labor. He then prays from rain. At harvest time he has corn, or wheat or beans, with a cost per bushel. He does not get to ask for a profit on those bushels. He checks the grain market and sees what the current price happens to be. If it is high than what he has in it, he make a few bucks. If it is lower, he loses.
The good news is that the price is (supposed to be) determined by supply and the demand for it. When inputs are high, some marginal land is idled and the total national yield is lower creating higher prices. This often covers the higher inputs. That is all well and good except that the world food supply needed operates in a very tightly balanced way. Any variation in demand and supply causes high swings in prices far in excess of what would be expected by small variations in supply. That is the problem we face. There will be less food, but there are still the same number of people needing food.

NAT’L CORN GROWERS ASSN LAUNCHES “CALL-TO-ACTION” URGING USDA TO HELP ENSURE FAIR FERTILIZER MARKETS
May 5, 2022
National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) reports:
In response to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s public comment period on Access to Fertilizer: Competition and Supply Chain Concerns, the National Corn Growers Association has launched a call-to-action to aid corn growers in raising a collective voice on this important and timely matter.
“We need a unified message if we’re going to effectively reach Washington decision-makers on this important issue,” said NCGA Vice President of Public Policy Brooke S. Appleton. “That’s why it’s critical that corn growers take this opportunity to submit comments to USDA, including detailed information about how rising input costs are impacting their operation.”
The call-to-action encourages corn growers to comment specifically on accessibility, price volatility and market competition.
You can submit comments directly to USDA here. The public comment period closes on Monday, May 16.
This opportunity gives us a seat at the table. Submit your comments today.
When I take orders for non-stock merchandise, I estimate the time as XX-YY weeks + Chaos (Plague, War, Famine…etc..)X___.
I get customers to initial at the underscore. We have two of the four horsemen and more hoofbeats are approaching.
I walked into my local Aldi store about 4pm for eggs and milk. I grabbed the last 2 doz eggs and last gallon of skim milk. The produce aisle was half empty. The strawberry containers were only half full ???? Wow. Earlier than I expected. Organic chicken? I grabbed last one. Anyone else noticing this?
Most commercial or hobby farms couldn’t survive any real crunch because they’re 100% tied to outside sourcing.
We have learned to farm without substitute and independent of outside resources. We do this by using what works, the right livestock and a solid understanding of acre density and mommy nature.
Sheep bring us 3x the price per pound over cattle, their dung feeds our 5000sf garden and they mow our grass for free. Our cattle help keep our (and others) freezers full + some yearly sales / swaps.
We balance at 10+ acres per cow and 2+ acres per sheep.
Ducks and chickens are completely free ranging and clean up behind everyone else.
Random goats make the wife happy.
Our land in addition to farming gives us turkey, pigs, alligators, fish and deer.
Year round the only animals we have to feed are our dogs, which keep everything else alive from bear and coyote.
The only things we buy and keep serious stock of for our animals are medial and deworming products. All of which will be cut off in availability by the FDA at years end. (Buy now!)
The way I see it the US doesn’t suffer from any shortages besides available land and our biggest problem is a human over population.
