[Hat Tip John Fredricks, for the meeting particulars] The Forsyth County, Georgia, republican party held a meeting to discuss why their senate candidates failed to win the run-off election in January. The screenshot of their justification is a case study in why the republican apparatus fails, and why the challenge to reform the party is so difficult.
First, it is important to filter through what is described as the “Tea Party” support base within the professional republican apparatus. Genuine Tea Party outlooks are in total alignment with the MAGA perspectives of Donald Trump. However, there are elements within the republican party that are more traditionally GOPe-minded and yet assign themselves to the outlook of the Tea Party. There is a difference, but more on that in a moment. Here’s how the Forsyth County political activists are explaining:
Notice, the Forsyth County GOP blame-cast against the base of voters by identifying people they view as outside the party interest. They blame libertarians, populists, Trump, Steve Bannon, John Fredricks and even the candidates themselves which includes Doug Collins for being too outside the base of voter enthusiasm. This view tells us what the mindset of the internal republican network in Forsyth County is !!
Do not just dismiss their justification as presented. CTH warned in 2014 and 2015 this ideological outlook, this disconnect from the reality of the base, would lead to a big problem…. and it has. I shall provide a concrete example below of just how dangerous this fracture is within our constitutional republic. The reason we need more trumpet.
As a person who has traveled extensively in the past decade+ to engage the base of middle-class support that represents MAGA, I can attest that the disconnect between the republican party apparatus and the base of voters they depend on is a severe problem. Without correction… there is no alternative other than to create a THIRD party.
Let me provide one of the best examples of this disconnect between the professional republican party and the base. This disconnect is most visible amid the professionally republican elites in Washington DC. However, this disconnect also flows downstream into the local party apparatus on a precinct-by-precinct level. The issue represented is immigration; but the disconnect applies to a much larger group of policies in addition to immigration.
In 2014 the Republicans in the Senate (successfully) and then the House (almost successfully) passed a comprehensive immigration reform bill that included amnesty for all illegal aliens. The bill would have passed the Republican controlled House, if it was not for the primary defeat of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor literally 48 hours before the House vote was to take place. {GO DEEP}
The shockwave from the Cantor defeat was so severe, all fence-sitting republicans (and remember a lot of them were from the Tea Party wave of 2010) backed away from their vote to support the immigration bill. The Senate amnesty bill died the night Cantor lost his primary challenge by Tea Party member Dave Brat.
The conservative base of the republican party, the middle-class worker/voter, did not want open-ended immigration and yet another amnesty bill. The MAGA base was being destroyed by these policies, but the GOPe was/is disconnected and did not care.
The DC republican party was brought to the immigration table by the main GOP funder and benefactor, The U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Wall Street wanted more cheap labor; the BIG Agriculture lobby wanted more cheap labor; the conservative pundit class of the media which included Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham and the entire Salem Media network, supported the U.S. CoC objective. It was an insiders game, but the base of voters did not support the objective…. hence, Cantor was defeated.
The GOPe is an institutional apparatus. In order to be a republican politician the candidate must never challenge the policies that stem from their source of funding. In the above example it was the U.S. CoC and President Tom Donohue; y’all are very familiar with him.
The key point is the club, from the precinct captains to the Speaker of the House within the party, have certain policy positions that are controlled by the party, the RNC club.
Money is the currency of influence within any club; remember that. Do not dismiss this as a broad truism that can be dispatched without thoroughly contemplating how this dynamic pertains when considering how to take over an established political party. Remember the opposition to Donald Trump in 2015 and 2016? This monetary aspect is the key part of the opposition.
Because money is the currency of club influence, the patriarchs who provide the majority of club funding are in control of club policy. This reality was the cause of the biggest political conflict in history. President Trump represented the base, the RNC represented the donor class, the political elites…. those who controlled the club. Obviously, you can see in hindsight why the conflict was so consequential and so severe.
Back to the disconnect example… As an aspect of party policy the politicians in DC cannot advocate for any policy that is outside the RNC club charter. The RNC is funded by Wall Street, corporate multinationals and large conglomerate interests. [The DNC is also, but for now I am focusing on the RNC.]
Because seventy percent of political funding inside the United States political apparatus stems from the exact same place, we see both parties essentially advocating for the same policies. Thus we call this process the UniParty. Wall Street interests are funding both RNC and DNC clubs; so obviously those interests will be supported by each wing of the political apparatus. Corporatism is determining policy for both parties. See the problem?
Now…. watch is video carefully and contemplate what Mick Mulvaney is saying in 2014 during the time that Wall Street and the U.S. CoC was paying the Republican party to deliver on a policy objective. Listen to how Mick Mulvaney describes the situation to the base, the highly engaged base, in South Carolina. This video is important. WATCH:
.
Notice how Mulvaney is ¹selling the exact same narrative you have heard from almost all professional DC republicans. You might also overlay the Georgia power-point screen grab here and see how both are examples of the party perspective.
Mulvaney was trying to convince the base on behalf of the professionally political. The Forsyth County GOP is essentially doing the same thing. Both messages are intended to convince the base of support to turn-away from what their heart, mind and gut is telling them as the approach needed; and both messages are trying to convince the base to support policy against their interests by reframing their interests.
Put another way the abuser is telling the abused to trust them… they know better.
However, in contrast to what Mick Mulvaney was espousing in 2014, a little more than a year later candidate Donald Trump came down the elevator and said the exact opposite. Trump said what was true, not what corporations were paying him to say.
Trump said: ‘vote for me and I will build a wall’, the exact opposite of what Mulvaney was telling the base of support.
Donald Trump knew by limiting the entry level workforce inbound into the U.S. there would be upward wage pressure and a restoration of the middle-class worker. Trump knew making America great again required ‘America First’, not Wall Street first.
The difference between Donald Trump supporting the American worker, and the Republican Party supporting corporate owners, is the same disconnect that exists today. The majority of voters support Trump. You can see this empirical outcome in the 2020 general election.
No other republican candidate would have been able to get that scale of support because all other republicans are essentially part of the professional party apparatus; and that means their positions (insert Nikki Haley here) would represent a wing of a UniParty instead of an entirely new political bird.
The Georgia run-off was lost because the only voting option was for another set of uniparty candidates. At the same time, both wings of the UniParty were attacking President Trump. Voters were turned-off by Perdue and Loeffler because they saw through the manipulation…. so they stayed home because: ‘what difference does it really make’?
Lastly, it is important to reflect on the local republican party outlook. As you can see in the Forsyth County power-point they are disconnected from the republican voters within the area. When you contemplate the scale of having to change the outlook and personnel of thousands of Republican precincts around the nation, you begin to realize what a monumental task it is to attempt to reform the republican party from the inside.
That my friends is why a new political party may be the only option.
.
¹ Also contemplate how Mick “cantaloupes’ Mulvaney could have carried that perspective and yet still worked as OMB Director for President Trump’s MAGA policy.
Agree.
But why is President Trump still playing with GOP?
WHY?
Same question on all our minds. My current theory is that as a builder he has asked himself if the building he just bought can be renovated or if it needs to be demolished so he can build fresh. He has apparently decided it’s easier to evict the current tenants and renovate.
Just saw your comment as mine was posting, yes, his building mindset has most likely been turning over in his mind the best way to proceed.
there are many advantages to using the old foundation if it is sound – after you tear out all the old wiring, leaking pipes, bringing it down to the studs and getting rid of all the bugs, critters that may be holed up
I can see that being a carpenter by trade.
I think he’s wrong. And I won’t vote for any Republican again, even Trump. I hope he changes his mind.
One way he may be looking at it might be that if you eliminate all the Romneys ,Murkowskis etc. that is one less person opposing you IF you start a 3rd party they will still be in play against you down the road. If you destroy them now they will not be back. Such as N. Haley ruin her once & for all and at least she will not be back in 6-8 years again.Same goes for Mitt R. etc.
Or, as a deal maker, he has made it is making some sort of deal with them. Like he won’t take his tens of millions of supporters to a new party and inreturn, he and his family get to live.
I think because President Trump knows the GOP is in a ripe position for a hostile takeover. Mainly because their corporate funding is drying up. The only way they can survive is with President Trump’s grassroots Supporters and their donations. Which ironically is more than the corporate donations. If ever there was a time for President Trump to successfully push the GOP into the America First Party, it is now. He has the leverage of his supporters and their donations. I just don’t know if he can do it. But I will support his efforts because President Trump’s always fighting for what is best for America.
….very simple math…75-80 millions voters..just once donation of 100.00 make $ 7.5-$ 8.00 billions just for start…many of his voters donated much, much more…..$$$ for MAGA TV station ,papers etc..soon as result of 2020 is corrected…by last not so corrupt institution….
A clean slate would be oh so welcome. Even if it starts small, we can be more assured of properly vetting of candidates compared to the vetting by Mitch McConnell, etc.
There is no such thing as a clean slate. Opportunists and infiltrators will wreck havoc of any new institution. More so it will discredit such institution before it even gets off the ground. The “Media” would be having a field day with it.
It would be interesting to see, but I’m more on the side of a hostile takeover…
The media/Dems/RINO’s are going out of way to brand anyone who even THINKS America First as being a white racist insurrectionist.
We are not stupid. Media is being ignored more and more. Grassroots efforts face to face most valuable way to spread the message.
I think we’re way past the name calling.
They have no credibility.
Takes too long.
You mean longer than the 40 years we have unsuccessfully tried to take over the GOP?
How much pain could he inflict on corporations if he asked ALL 80 Mill. to stop doing business with these corporate donors and to sell all their stocks as well ? THAT might be a BIG Stick.
Lovely combination!
I think he’s trying to completely take over the party. He’s going to discredit all known RINOs. This is why he pointed to McConnell’s ties to China. He has taken to identifying McConnell as toxic just as he did with the access granted to his tax information by tying all of that to Cuomo. Cuomo, as you know, is on his way out and no Democrats can help him.
He operates just like a leftist in that he uses their manner and methods against them.
My take is that while I’m prepared to support a third party, it’s really about supporting whatever Trump is doing. So if he manages to take over the Republican party and oust the RINOs? Then he still has “the Party of Lincoln” title on his side. If he has to start a new party, the best he can say is “following Lincoln’s example” in that he was one of the party’s founders.
It would be nice and all if we could start fresh and let the Republicans die on the vine but there is a challenge in that approach where the establishment Democrats and Republicans would plot all manner of things to destroy any insurgent party. Perhaps this is what Trump sees and believes this would be a better result.
And frankly, if anyone could pull it off, Trump could. When he was president, he had to at least pretend to play by ‘their rules’ despite the fact that they didn’t play by their own. Now, his popularity and influence is only growing as is his popular leadership role. The establishment has no control over him.
I have one problem at the moment — I’m not going to give them any money until I know it’s not funding anything swampy. I’m still getting all forms of “beg mail” both snail mail and email from the RNC pretending to be popular figures within the party. I’m not having any of it.
And by the polling, it seems Trump is still drawing in former Democrats.
All said, I don’t think this country can survive four years of this. Something needs to happen.
..very soon within 6wks…..
I keep getting emails daily from Jim Jordan wanting my signature to “take back the house” and to sign. I have not clicked through yet. I know they want money, what do they want my signature for? “We were so close”. Got one today, “We haven’t seen your signature yet.”. Has anyone signed this? I’m not giving any money either.
I’m receiving Rep. Jordan’s petition signing request emails too, and like you, I haven’t signed either.
I deeply respect Jim Jordan and his House Freedom Caucus associates – in which my own Congressman actively participates. But after viewing the Mulvaney clip, how is it possible that the members of the Freedom Caucus manage to survive the GOPe gestapo?
Something doesn’t add up. It would be classic GOPe to get in line behind the House Freedom Caucus members during this new campaign season, particularly since they are a small minority in the House. Then, following the ’22 Election, laugh themselves silly all the way to the bank singing yet another chorus of Ha Ha, Fooled You Again We Did.
I’ve become suspicious of everything and everyone – except the proven, genuinely dedicated, DJT / MAGA loyalists. Actually, reverse the order: the MAGA / DJT loyalists.
One man achieved lift-off for the MAGA Agenda. But it now belongs to millions of us.
President Trump will draw in former Democrats and Independents. But will they vote for other Republicans as well.2018 would indicate they will not.Third Party, now!
As a former democrat, I agree with you. I love President Trump, but I am finished voting for either branch of the uniparty. I left the democrats in 2016, and I left the Republicans in 2020, when virtually none of them stood up to defend President Trump and stop the steal.
The republican brand is completely ruined. It also makes it hard for non republicans, by habit or birth, to get involved at base level.
Probably the same reason he didn’t pardon any of the capitol protesters
Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak — Sun Tzu
NO WAY POTUS WALKS AWAY FROM THE GOP.
ALL WAR IS BASED ON DECEPTION.
BUT WHEN POTUS IS READY TO BOOT
THEM OUT – IT WILL BE SPECTACULAR!
“Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night,
and when you move, FALL LIKE A THUNDERBOLT.”
Even Sun Tzu had an army and generals.
Where was Trump’s “army” when the elections where stolen? Where were the millions of people protesting daily on the streets?
While I share your enthusiasm, I try to be more pragmatic. Many people talk a big game until it’s time to step out and DO SOMETHING.
Trump will surely try to do that something. But he’ll need help. And more than he had the last 3 months…
I hope he doesn’t waste his time and energy on revenge. There are far more important things to consider and other ways to destroy the GOP.
President Trump’s a builder by nature, the party structure is there, it has a built-in clientele so wondering if he’s thinking it easier and less costly to remodel?
He will know soon enough how that’s not happening; the GOPe is digging in, going along with the false Capital “siege” narrative.
These are the type of questions most people on this blog don’t want to hear an answer to.
He is still the head of it….so I guess he thinks he can influence it. I am with SD…third party….
He’s taking it over..I’m guessing you have never read anything written by POTUS Trump? I’m a little mystified by people who obviously have NOT read anything he has written or the way he conducted business. It’s a hostile takeover…
The presidency was also a hostile takeover via voter fraud.
By co-opting the GOP he became the first real 3rd party candidate in my lifetime. Not sure many realize that.
He was not a modern day republican, he just used the party to accomplish his goals. It was very smart.
It’s much easier for him to take over the Republican Party than to build a new party in competition with it.
WHY?
Because this ethereal third party has no organization (not national, not state,l not county, and not precinct), no organizers, no workers, no real candidates, and not enough time nor enough money to build such a structure.
That’s why. As of now it just hoping, dreaming, and wishful thinking.
I agree. The Rep party has all the database info and ground game they have built up. A new party would start from scratch and that is so difficult to do, because he would be fighting the entire uniparty.
In the California County in which I lived, in the East Bay Area, I decided to get involved and join the Republican party, go to meetings, maybe even run for office some day . There was a page for the local Repubican Party, on the internet, but it was empty. A Democrat dud won election to the Senate always, because no one ran against him. Eric Swalwell (D) ran in the neighboring County, but probably because most of the residents were newly from India, he wasn’t contested. He of Fang Fang fame! I’ve always wondered, how many counties are just as politically inactive as ours?
President Trump already said he will not be forming a new Party.
The bottom line… there is a need of more leaders who act and not just talk radio and books.
Got to be in the game to play it………not standing on the sides…………I think he knows what he is doing….
Because he OWNS the party, and the RINOs know it.
If he owned the party he’d be sitting in the Oval Office right now. Instead, the politicians who actually do own the party betrayed him and allowed the imposter and his handlers to succeed at fraud and they effectively handed our republic over to a global cabal of communists.
The rot in the Republican party goes deep. I’ve seen how they’ve treated my brother at the state and local level. Either reforming the existing party or starting a new one will take a lot of time and effort. I’m with Sundance. Start a new party.
So it was Bannon’s fault that the two uniparty hacks were defeated in Georgia. And all along, I thought that it was because the GOP legislature trashed the Constitution by letting the corrupt Gov and SoS change election processes. Learn something new every day. (Sarc)
That’s so much garbage of course. We now know the outcomes are ALL pre-determined and negotiated. The steal in Georgia was more of a bargain than a steal.
You really should go on Steve Bannon‘s War Room and discuss the options with him. He argues the opposite: it would take billions to build a third party from scratch. Better to take over the Republican Party. He’s been promoting Dan Schultz‘s Precinct Project.
Schultz says there are 200,000 open GOP Precinct positions, just waiting for MAGA troops to fill them. He has a website and a book, with instructions how to get involved:
https://theprecinctproject.wordpress.com
I like the idea of an America First Party, but maybe he’s right: it should be the America First GOP.
They can do whatever. I won’t be voting GOP again – they are responsible for disenfranchising me – I will not reward them by participating in future fraud to legitimize the uniparty.
Whatever
So, you intend to submit to the Democrats in perpetuity?
Isn’t that what we are doing now?
When the alternative is submit to the Republicans who submit to the democrats.
I feel exactly the same. I have voted in my last election. Voting machines and elections will be rigged and manipulated from here on out. Why waste my time in a futile exercise. No more. America’s Constitutional Republic is dead. Destroyed from within as was foretold decades ago. Jesus said “a house divided against itself cannot stand”. We are seeing the truth of that statement more and more as each day passes. God and my family are my “country” now. That’s all.
I think I will still vote local and state, maybe starting local will be the answer to fight against federal tyranny. At this point, I will not be voting in federal elections, they can bite me. Unless….there is a genuine America First candidate.
I will do whatever Trump says. Thats enough for me.
The R’s fight harder against insiders than they ever do against D’s.
They fought and beat down the Tea Party. Even colluded with Ozero using the government against the Tea Party. They fought Trump tooth and nail. R’s enabled the Russia collusion hoax, and the Mueller farce. They enabled Pelosi’s takeover, and then Schumer’s takeover. And they worked to prevent Trump’s reelection. Now they are cheering on the destruction of everybody who voted for Trump. Cheering, enabling and assisting in the destruction of their own voters.
Taking over the Party? Not gonna be allowed. (If these idiots fought for us, half as well as they fight for themselves, they would be our greatest heroes.)
And don’t forget, Bannon is only in it for the chaos, to create disruption. He said so himself. Trust him again, and he will betray you again. Just as fast as he betrayed Trump.
Don’t disregard everything from Bannon. The precinct thing is smart because it’s local level stuff. Town by town you promote MAGA candidates while building a third party.
Then he should be advocating a precinct by precinct establishment of a new political party, and the ideals of that political party must be unmistakably, and uncompromisingly MAGA
He’s right to start at the local level. We’re pissing away time debating how to resuscitate a corpse.
nice commentary – excellent job
AMERICA FIRST – – not much time left
These points should be the starting building blocks for a new contract with the American citizens.
Let call it:
MAGA CONTRACT WITH AMERICA
During the Senate hearing on the Jan 6th event today, when they talked about rallies, they called them MAGA rallies. Evidently the fencing and troops are still in DC for two up-coming MAGA rallies? That was the guess of one person. No one else responded to the question of why or for how long the Capitol and White House are a fortress. Why do we know Nancy Pelosi ordered it but no one in the Senate seemed to know, today?
And local level elections traditionally have way lower turnout than national. So it makes sense IMO to become an overwhelming force locally and expand outward. That builds the base and makes people more aware at a grassroots level.
Bannon betrayed no one. He’s been a true MAGA loyalist.
“The R’s fight harder against insiders than they ever do against D’s.” Amen, Brother, especially here in Virginia. They don’t trust the folks in a primary. Nope, going to be a convention, with delegates, so that the GOPe guy (Kirk Cox) ends up the nominee for governor (to go against Terry Mcauliffe). No way a MAGA candidate (Sergio de la Pena by the way) is going to prevail against the Machine. But he would in a primary. I guess since Cantor got defeated by Brat the primary system can’t be trusted. SMH. Virginia is lost my friends.
post of the day my friend.
Amanda Chase is the MAGA candidate – even attended the rally in Washington DC on January 6.
It’s no better in PA.
Why did Trump pardon Bannon (and not the likes of Brian Kolfage) if he was so worried about Bannon’s supposed ‘treachery’?
I disagree with Bannon. I disagree with Trump if he wants to use the GOP as our party to rebuild. The GOP is dead to me and I won’t ever work with them again. They are traitors to the Republic. The party, as an entity, needs to die.
Someone tell me why we have to declare a party to participate in voting? It’s all about money to them, and consolidating power. They don’t have our best interests at heart. They never have. The voting system is broken. I don’t see how/when it will be fixed.
In many states you don’t have to declare a party affiliation.
NO State requires anyone to affiliate with a political party. In many States, though, one must be a party affiliate in order to vote in primary elections.
Yes, please pack up your toys and go home. Cut and Run…
I tend to agree. However, I’m following whatever president Trump leads me.
I threw my RNC card away in 2008 for good reason.
MAGA
The nearly perpetual scream of post Reagan America: “We can’t do it, it is just too hard.” Good grief are we Americans or not?
Bannon has ALWAYS said “STAND AND FIGHT”…even before POTUS Trump. I’m a firm believer in stand and fight…but then I’m a Texan.
It’s gonna take billion$ to remake the GOP, and those billion$ will be flushed down the toilet tilting at windmills. Starting a legitimate SECOND party is the right approach. It allows us to abandon the dead brand of the GOP. I’m promising you, and Bannon, and everyone else trying to drag me back into the GOP that I will never vote for a Republican again.
Ever.
To paraphrase Wyatt Earp in Tombstone, “I see an “R” label next to a candidate’s name, I destroy the candidate wearing it.”
Bannon’s using the “billion$” argument to force us all to go kowtowing back to the GOP. It’s the “We have to win GA to save the Senate” argument. That argument is dead.
New party. New brand. We must destroy the post-Civil War political order. That means giving people like MAGA – Democrats a party they can vote for that is not asking them to drink bile and vote for a Republican. I can’t say as I blame them.
We cannot destroy the post-Civil War status quo by keeping it in place.
THIS is one of the best concrete strategies I’ve reviewed for taking back control of the R party. If our President DJT seeks to accomplish that goal, then our efforts to support MAGA must take on some tough tasks.
Bannon is correct; building a viable third party is nearly impossible, but transforming the R’s into a MAGA party (that purposefully includes like-minded D’s, Libertarians and America First independents) is possible within the next 2 to 4 years.
Ditto. And regarding the idea of creating a third party, I have to repeat my own greatest fear, which is that red states would ban it from getting on the ballot as being a party of domestic terrorists. And they’d wait till the eleventh hour, so no time for a plan b.
*blue states
No you were right first time – *red states.
Why would blue states ban it? It would merely split the right-wing vote and serve to benefit Democrats.
This is an important point. PA allowed the Libertarian party to be on the ballot in 2020 but did not allow the Green Party.
President Trump was in the Reform Party with Jesse Jackson, he should know what kind of finances, maybe that’s why he finally ran as a Republican.
Well, reading the replies, it sounds as though Treepers are pretty much divided on the question whether to try a new party, or take over the GOP. I go back and forth, though I am impressed with Bannon’s argument that enough MAGA folks at the Precinct level could overpower the elites at the top. Hard to argue when thousands of precinct members represent millions of Trump voters.
But we’ll see what Real President Trump does. My impression right now is that he favors taking over the GOP. In that case, ‘R’ will take on a new, more exciting meaning.
That Forsyth County screenshot has opened my eyes. GOP leadership is dense and does not get it. Not ready for a new party yet, but might be here soon.
The stupid GOPe only wants to win elections and get lobbyist money. They are not interested in what we the people want! And unless all states outlaw computer voting fraudsters like Dominion and others, good people will never be allowed to win election again!
I think voters are more than ready for a NEW PARTY. For decades we have tried to take over the Republican Party, and President Trump was ALONE in Washington, DC, because the Republicans up there are Democrats in reality!
I am more ready for a new party than I was earlier. I am listening to Trump, however, and it appears as if he wants to remodel or remake the party. Didn’t work last time because of Republicans like those in Forsyth County. That, my friends, is a huge problem.
What is better? Starting out with thousands of rinos in the R party we need to either reform (ha!) or get out of office?
Or, starting out with hundreds of MAGA candidates to get elected to take the place
of rinos and democrats? Solid, vetted candidates. Each year adding hundreds more
until the rinos and dems are out of office.
It’s never their fault, is it? They remind me of children or psychopaths (some overlap possible).
Screw ’em. I’m done with them anyway.
It’s why they are always in trouble. They never learn.
Didn’t the Dominion voting machines, also, have some effect on the outcome?
In both elections I am afraid. I suspect the GOP agreed with the Globalist enslavers to allow Biden to appear to beat President Trump, with the left agreeing that they would not cheat on the Loeffler/Perdue election. But Schumer wanted it all so they did anyway. They all lied, freedom died and the Georgia GOP cannot report it without confirming their treason.
Good question.
We saw the presidential election stolen using Dominion voting machines. Dominion voting machines are used in Georgia. Both republican candidates lost in Georgia again using the Dominion machines. You are the first one to mention it. The article doesn’t mention it. I think it is obvious.
I read articles over the last two days stating that the presidential election results in both Colorado and Virginia are suspect due to Dominion voting machines. Everyone seems to be missing this. Ballots should NEVER be run through any kind of programmable machine. Votes can be flipped, weighted and can be manipulated. We must get rid of these machines. Hand counting and thumb prints like Iraq would be a GREAT improvement.
Same b.s. as ever.
The Uniparty controls the outcome, we get angry, they tell us it’s our fault. Blah blah blah.
I am done with this abusive relationship.
Our base is too stupid and/or radical to know what’s good for them. What should we do? Get rid of that nasty base! Then we can win elections.
None of them can adequately explain why anyone in GA, PA, AZ, MI, WI, NV, VA, CO would ever bother to vote again when the election fraud is out in the open and rampant.
And in the case of GA and AZ Republican governors facilitated the theft. And MI, WI, and PA have Republican General Assemblies that did jack.
Cantaloupes, huh? I’d say the republicans are a bunch of fruits.
I will remain a Republican until President Trump asks me to change it. But I love cantaloupes and have one on my birthdays with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a single candle.
I remember that day… was half expecting the video to be of my mother standing up and asking him directly if he supported illegal immigration and getting a deer in the headlights look…
Good rule of thumb: don’t trust a politician coming out of SC. Like Forsyth County, our local GOPes destroy anyone actually decent in the primaries.
Well, OK. In my state Feb is local caucus month beginning the process that ends in the state Republican convention where a new state chair will be elected (and the chair is a member, along with state committeeman and committeewoman of the RNC).
So if the base doesn’t show up at their precinct / district caucus, I don’t see that it has the right to complain about the results. Yes, it takes money in politics and if you are going to rely on a party for funding, then the party has to be able to generate it. But that’s also true if you form your third party. You have all the same problems but no infrastructure.
Sorry, but I have no sympathy for those who constantly pontificate that “republican party should do this, republican party should do that”, but don’t do anything but complain on message boards.
I agree it will be easier to take over the GOP starting at the grass roots than starting from scratch. Also I don’t think you need as much funding if you have the endorsement of someone the MAGA movement trusts. Frankly ads are for the weak minded and if MAGA is anything its not composed of the weak minded. The GOPe spoiler used to to oppose and split off votes from the MAGA GOPe won primary Candidate can spend billions of dollars, not one MAGA voter is going to switch sides.
It’s just like the NFL trying to figure out why their ratings went down.
If the Forsyth County GOP would simply sing the Black National Anthem before their meetings, they could at least feel good about themselves and their brilliance.
Genie,
You’re aware that Republicans wrote the Black National Anthem, right?
And the NBA – looks like women’s soccer figured it out; not kneeling any more during the anthem.
Alas, too late.
The senate elections in Georgia were statewide election. How does ‘Intra-State Immigration’ effect vote totals? ?
Now, ‘inter-state immigration’ might have an effect. Could have just said ‘people moving into the state’. ?
“Intra-State Immigration.” WTF is that? Just another poor SOB who thinks there is also an “Intercoastal Waterway” along the coast of Georgia? Intra-, Inter-, Imply, Infer, Their, There, we all make mistakes, even the geniuses in the Forsyth County GOP. Sad.
Being confused is a learning opportunity for them. But they won’t learn.
The MONEY SCREAMS TOO LOUDLY in their heads.
Think of someone who is desperately in love with an abuser. They are desperately in LOVE WITH MONEY. They are trying to corral the kiddies to make the same massive mistake – but all the kids feel is the downside.
Emancipation of Minors is the only way forward. They treat us like minor players except when they need us, which, with Dominion machines and Smartmatic doesn’t seem to be all that often.
Emancipation from this abusive relationship with the RNC is the only way.
Let’s make it happen.
2022 will have to be an absolute bloodbath on the GOPutz. Here is hoping they saw come to their senses sooner than that when the 1st Qtr 2021 registration and donation numbers come in (with colorful commentary notes added). If that doesn’t do it, maybe the 2nd Qtr numbers will open their eyes that the disgust has staying power. We just have to keep it up until they cry uncle. And if they don’t 2022 will be a bloodbatb.
Much respect, but I don’t thinks so. TAKE the party you have only half-got now FOR REAL. TAKE IT ALL. PRIMARY EVERY UNIPARTY BASTARD YOU CAN FIND. RUN YOURSELF, IF YOU CAN.
Could a 3rd party win over enough moderate Dem voters to win a national election? Maybe. Maybe, but I doubt this.
For the time being Trump is still playing footsie with the GOP. He needs to state the MAGA agenda again, while not necessarily calling it MAGA or an agenda but what the people want, and confront, for lack of a better word, the leadership to state why they are for or against for all to hear, not in a back room where the establishment can deny what they said. Then we will know if a friendly takeover or separate party is called for.
Force the establishment to decide if they are for the American people or not. Don’t let them personalize the decision as Trump centric.
I’m sure the Republican governor and SoS doing everything in their power to get Biden elected had nothing to do with demoralizing GA Republicans.
Wasn’t it Republicans that voted for Republicans that put these Republicans in question in office the first place? Whose to blame for that Democrats? The same Republicans you voted for … I voted for. I’m going with Trump on this one. If he decides to gut the GOP and rebuild I’m in.
You can’t fix stupid. This really angers me that a group of people, supposedly experts in the field of politics, could be so tone deaf and so completely wrong.
I voted for the wife of the NYSE CEO and Perdue. However there were bad feelings on how our Republican Governor, Brian Kemp and Sec. of State Brad Raffensperger sold us out by conspiring with Stacy Abrams to defeat Donald Trump. There was a real feeling in GA that No Donald, eat Socialism.
It was after the November election that I realized why Stacy Abrams claimed she won the governorship of Georgia. unKemp and rottenburger sold us out to the commies.
Yes…you are correct that Gov and SecState sold out Georgia…and they probably are GOPe. However, they agreed to play by Stacy’s Playbook…which was repeated lawsuits until they agreed to a summary judgement(Just like American Thinker, when faced with a large Dominion Lawsuit-they bent the knee…)
Gotta love it. Blame everyone first and only mention themselves in passing at the end. Oh, yea, partially our fault.
Idiots.
What does NO MORE RINOs don’t they understand?
No mention of voter fraud on the white board either. Why is it so hard for the GOP to acknowledge that without election integrity, it really doesn’t matter who runs? The house always wins.
I have voted 3rd party since 1988 for the reasons you list. Just wish it didn’t take 41 years for so many people to figure it out.
Lesser of 2 evils is effective propaganda
“If we recruit Democrats, we can’t lose!”
and a third party WILL recruit them
Normal people do not sacrifice their personal time to politics or school boards or homeowner associations. Normal people get involved during elections and are easily fooled by professional liars who can tell them what they want but then behave totally opposite.
A new party can establish new entry rules that will poison the fakes and liars by having them swear to specific policies and do it on camera with an oath that declares themselves unfit for office if they break it. It can have rules that declare specific groups and money sources as anathema and that anyone associated or taking money from them will be ejected.
You will need a new party regardless if starting fresh or “taking over” (insert Lindsey Graham laughing ) the GOP. ALL of the current Republican staff is suspect with a 90%+ chance of being RINOs. So you will need to fire them all anyways. The same is true of the majority of the elected officials. They are grifters who wish to be open leftists but have to pretend because of the base.
A new party means more than just elections and voting. It means a national organization which can galvanize actions across economic/cultural issues as well. The Republicans would fight this tooth and nail but a new party would embrace it as part of its core mission.
Spot on! Reform means we have to get rid of all the politicians and complete a fight to completely take over the national organization. Basically, more work than starting a new party with OUR PRINCIPLES.
Don’t overlook the effects of electoral fraud. It was rampant during the general election and no less so during the Senate runoff elections.
Correct, this is job one. No political strategy works without having an honest voting system. Which is why this is political battle must be won at the State level first and foremost. What the swing States showed us during the vote certification is that we have uniparty problems State level as well. If we can’t fix this at the State level we have very little chance of fixing this at the Federal level.
Sundance is 100% correct that the anti-MAGA funding is the primary driver of the uniparty disconnect with the voters. They tell us one thing to get our votes and then follow the orders of their true masters once in office. Thus the force that can successfully replace the uniparty with MAGA must by definition be pro-MAGA funded one way or the other. One cannot serve two masters.
The question before us what is the best path to remove the uniparty from office? Just taking our rightful anger out upon the GOPe uniparty only to hand the seat to Dem uniparty member, or worse a Communists, does us no good. In fact some see it as step backwards for MAGA vs the GOPe uniparty. The Dem uniparty member, let alone Communist, no longer needs to occasionally vote MAGA to keep us voting from them.
If every GOPe uniparty Representative was replaced with MAGA Representative 100% funded by pro-MAGA sources how is it that the GOPe wouldn’t be transformed into a MAGA party precisely?
If the GOPe controls all these party committees but we control the votes and put MAGA Representatives into office 100% pro-MAGA funded over their anti-MAGA funded objections, what good are these committees or their anti-MAGA funding?
Isn’t the GOPe primary path the very same path PDJT took and won? MAGA policies, no anti-MAGA funding.
Further after MAGA is in complete control of the GOPe and the anti-MAGA funding is now all going to the Dem wing of the uniparty how is it that we also won’t have complete control of the GOP party committees now deprived of their bribe money?
Can we call it the NEW Republican Party?
I remember that video and I didn’t trust Mulvaney when President Trump appointed him, considered him a RINO. Then we all thought maybe he was redpilled, they didn’t need illegal votes because obviously President Trump won and I mistakenly thought they all started to care about this country’s future and how we can’t flood the system and make it a free for all.
Of course, I was wrong.
I got an email from our local county GOP that they are having a dinner in May with Dennis Prager being the main speaker and to order tickets. Thing is, it is $200 per person, so $400 a couple! I can’t afford this crap.
I am not very impressed by the county GOP when they sent the email that they finally censured Anthony Gonzales. They said they “listened to their constituents and all our concerns.” Then they ended it with basically, “okay, so then donate.”
I got another email from a neighboring GOP community but not mine, how they are having a free community get together to discuss, etc. And I also took a peek at our county Democrat page and they are having strategic meetings, including one from the person who ran Stacy Abrams’ campaign and also having a free voter outreach.
I don’t think our GOP is going to get very far with all these costly get togethers (another one at a bar with light apps for $25 apiece). I don’t feel like donating a dime until I really know where their head is at. They seem pretty clueless and don’t even know what other groups are doing.
Only donate to candidates that PDJT endorses and GOPe hates. What the GOPe party wants is only what the anti-MAGA sources tell them they want, hence the disconnect with the pro-MAGA voting base. Adding your pro-MAGA resources to the anti-MAGA funding stream only causes bigger problems.
Heck we have all kinds of ‘self’ identification going on. Why can’t MAGA ‘self-identify’ as Republican, at least to use them as stepping stool into office. Once in office go full on MAGA and be 100% independent of anti-MAGA funding sources.
Thanks, I have also wondered how much of a cut the RNC gets from the local as well.
Mulvaney thinks that we’d settle for a RINO president. Too funny, I needed a good laugh.
I would’ve raised my hand and asked: “but what about America First ” ?????????
The CIA control election outcome. Talk about fight training. Talk about sources for ammunition. Talk about what needs to be done.
.
Talking about voting is like dancing with your sister. It is never going to go anywhere, and if it did you wouldn’t like it…
I live in Forsyth County and it is very conservative and pro-Trump. Most folks that I know that follow politics would not accept these conclusions and at least a few would be outspoken at this point in refuting them.
So my question is, I guess, how do me and others like me get into these events to provide pushback? If the process starts there, and this is endemic even in Forsyth County (which surprises me as our local representatives were more active and outspoken than most others during the steal), how do we make our voices heard?
I firmly believe that Loffler’s loss of appx 10% of her vote was due to the New York Stock exchange replatforming of Chinese companies that leaked on conservative media the weekend before the runoff election. I also believe that Purdue just bowed out to let Loffler run in 2022.
I am only interested in a MAGA party.
Respectfully to Sundance:
Would it not be easier for thousands of MAGA members to swell the GOP and replace everyone from within?
While it may seem the right thing to do is to just make our own MAGA party, and it may be the right thing, it will also be near impossible for three reasons.
One – money. You need to develop a massive small donations base. For that you need a good communications system and dedicated leaders. We lack both. President Trump surely is slow walking this process right now.
Two – organization. It takes time, resources, and many many volunteers. This means effort. More effort than writing a tweet or a message here. Most people talk a big game but then disappear when ‘more’ is required. Where were the millions of people protesting on the streets daily after Nov 3? I knew there was no redress when many people just shrugged. Yes, they wrote angry messages and tweets…
Third – leaders. Not one leader. Not two or a dozen. Hundreds. Thousands. Where are they to lead the formation of every county in the country? Those who would dedicate their time for political purposes are already there.
So…
By the time something, anything, is beginning to take shape in a decade or so, it may be too late. Time is of the essence here. The democratic institutions will be gone in less than 10 years.
I think a hostile takeover of the GOP will speed things along.
The Socialists showed it done within the Dems.
For a hostile takeover to take place you need massive numbers of new members that can step in and take over. Also, they would only donate to the MAGA wing and no one else.
This way it’s speedier, and might, just might be completed before the Republic succumbs. And it will still be a monumental job to get it done. First step – don’t just talk the talk, but step out and walk the walk…
How about the Anti American Uniparty?
DO NOT VOTE FOR ANY GOP candidate. If we can get MAGA candidates on the ballots, (perhaps as independents) then vote, vote, vote!! Otherwise, we must be prepared for several election cycles without candidates that we can support.
What good is a new party when the state legislatures have already been fixed by CofC, Soros & who-know-what-NGO’s? Even the Supreme Court is fixed. The rot and corruption are comprehensive, including the totally unionized AFSCME, along with the entire federal bureaucracy; all bossed by top communist, AFLCIO president Richard Trumka. A nuclear option will be necessary to Redress and Reform the present snake-pit of city, county, state and federal government. Politics as usual is dead. I pray for Divine Intervention.
At least they got down to their own action or inaction at the bottom of the list. /s The rest of it is all majoer cop-out.
At some point, we have to address the issue of monetary support for candidates that appeal to MAGA/America first. The President has to set up funding mechanisms that allow our donations to NOT end up in the GOP account.
I am sure 99% of conservatives are not happy about this vote. But Mitch does not care about conservatives!
F the Turdle.
Well there you have folks. McConnell supports Garland. What the hell?! Again, tell me why anyone is still willing to support the GOP?? WHY??
The Democrats always work to give their constituency what they want. Republicans not so much!
No, they really don’t. I’m a former Democrat, and one thing you can count on is that they never, ever follow through on what they promise their constituents. One example: at the first debate, Biden (I can barely manage to write his name without feeling sick) mentioned adding a “public option” to health care. I wanted to jump in and say “you and Obama said that in 2008. If you had any intention of doing it, why didn’t you with 8 years in the White House?” Not saying anything about the merits of a public option. I’m just pointing it out as one example of how they always lie to their constituents.
The repubs lost the runoff due in large part that the candidates sucked Their campaigns and commercials were amateurish and lame. They literally campaigned on “we aren’t democrats”. It was like they had no funding. Half of the TV ads were the 2 of them together saying “we aren’t democrats”. Meanwhile the democrats had great commercials and gave a message. During the runoff I was receiving 9 or 10 beg letters per day. That portion of the election was lost on purpose by the GOPe, it was obvious.
These points could have been written by CNN.
Interesting that just recently state GOP officials were blaming Trump voters for not coming out to vote in the runoff but are now saying it’s because those voters kept the “base” away from voting? I’m so confused. ?
I also agree. Look at the similar “autopsy report” produced by the RNC, after the 2012 election, it said the SAME thing; this lie that Romney lost in 2012, because of losing the Hispanics.
Romney lost in 2012, because ROMNEY was the Candidate, AND because of the policies he advocated for.
Mulvaneys own prediction on Texas in 2016 was disproved by PDJT, who WON Texas, DESPITE these 3 million additional Hispanic voters, and INCREASED his hispanic support inboth Texas and Florida in 2020.
The problem keeping the Republican party from winning elections is NOT the base; it is the party hierarchy.
IF the RNC, and particularly the Republican Congressional leadership (McConnell and Ryan) had supported, rather than undermines PDJT, they could have swept both houses, and established a permanent majority.
And yes, the rot trickles down to the precinct level, in many States.
We’ll see how successful PDJT is, in his campaign to back primary challengers in 2022, with the party infrastructure in many States working in opposition.
I’ll follow President Trump if that what he decides but I don’t like it. We need to take back America at all cost or we’re doomed to serfdom real soon. This country is more than just one man what is the best shot we have for 2024.
The biggest reasons/people in order were actually (Only including “Republicans”):
1. Mitch McConnell (RINO Swamp Leader)
2. Brian Kemp (Georgia Governor)
3. Brad Raffensperger (Georgia Secretary of State)
4. Christopher Carr (Georgia Attorney-General)
5. David Perdue (Feckless RINO Candidate 1)
6. Kelly Loeffler (Feckless RINO Candidate 2)
7. Geoff Duncan (Georgia Lieutenant-Governor)
8. Christopher Wray (FBI Director – still!)
9. William Barr (US Attorney-General)
10. Jeffrey Rosen (US Assistant Attorney-General)
I’m sure there are others.
If the Republicans want to win in 2022 – I’m talking about the Republican base – they need to select Doug Collins for Governor & Vernon Jones for Georgia Senate (or perhaps the other way around depending upon what the candidates want).
