Ellison’s expressed approach is that Supreme Court Nominee Neil Gorsuch should be filibustered by all Senate Democrats. This is Keith Ellison’s strategy:

Oh, the winning… it’s often too funny. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals is now independently, on its own impetus, requesting an internal vote on a full panel en banc hearing to review its own decision.
Additionally, the full ninth are asking the Trump administration to file an additional brief telling the court why the three member original appeals ruling authority was wrong. In essence, the smart judges know what wasn’t considered, and are now looking for an out.
You just can’t make this stuff up.

Apparently there are many people who just don’t quite understand the concept of:

The professional swamp dwellers, and those who sell the swamp uniparty messages, are intensely skilled at creating false impressions. The example of swamp-master Dick Blumenthal and his like-minded political ilk is just the most recent example.
Senator Dick knows Judge Gorsuch is in that tenuous confirmation space where he cannot respond to any claim made by political opposition about his words, their use and phrases.
Senator Dick can say anything he wants, Gorsuch has no venue to retort.
Senator Dick knows this position of compromise puts Dick’s team at an advantage. Thus Team Dick can say anything they want, and Team Dick’s political opponents are hamstrung.
This is the context to consider anything coming from the mouth of Dick, or any oppositional entity who monitor the swamp and advocate on behalf of those dwelling therein; ie. ‘the mostly swamp media’ (MSM). Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer will not filibuster the nomination.
Relax, it’s 100%. 100%. Done.
Judge Gorsuch will take the bench with the customary vocal goofball moonbattery of the far-left, perhaps with some Trump Derangement Syndrome sprinkled on top, but he will take the bench.
Senator Schumer’s only play is to delay the confirmation process because he doesn’t want Gorsuch on this year’s SCOTUS rulings, which by itself is doubtful if McConnell finds his balls, but Schumerwill NOT block the overall nomination. Here’s why. (more…)
Supreme Court Justice nominee Neil Gorsuch is a Colorado native and the son of a Republican politician, the late Anne Gorsuch Burford, who was a state legislator and then director of the Environmental Protection Agency for President Reagan. Gorsuch attended Columbia University and Harvard Law School, after which he clerked for D.C. Circuit Court judge David Sentelle.
Gorsuch then clerked for Supreme Court justices Byron White and Anthony Kennedy in 1993–94. The next year he studied for a doctorate of philosophy at Oxford University under the legal philosopher John Finnis.
After spending ten years at a law firm in Washington, D.C., Gorsuch went to work for the Justice Department in 2005–06. President George W. Bush nominated him to the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, which covers Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Utah, Wyoming, and New Mexico. His confirmation was quick and uncontroversial.
When supreme court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg targeted Donald Trump with her personal attacks and invectives many people were stunned.
Many pundits and Legal-types were aghast, because the ramifications were/are considerable given the number of executive branch legal issues that end up in SCOTUS. Under a President Trump, Ginsburg’s clear bias would mean solid arguments she would have to recuse herself from any cases originating within a Trump administration.
But from Justice Ginsburg’s perspective she has nothing to lose. Ginsburg is all in for Hillary Clinton to win the election. Ginsburg is not going to remain on the court in 2017. Ergo the “recuse issue” is moot. The next POTUS is going to select Gingsburg’s replacement. The walk-back is face saving for the cause only.
“On reflection, my recent remarks in response to press inquiries were ill-advised and I regret making them,” Justice Ginsburg said in a statement on Thursday. “Judges should avoid commenting on a candidate for public office. In the future I will be more circumspect.” (link)
Ginsburg’s ridicule is very symptomatic of the liberal mind and likely to end up aiding Trump in multiple ways.
It was only a month ago when, in an effort to make Trump seem unreasonable, pundits were spending several hours/days of airtime and column inches explaining how federal judges are impartial and completely unbiased in response to Trump’s arguments about the Mexican judge in the Trump University legal matter. Now those same pundits and voices are having to defend the transparently obvious bias within the snarky comments presented by Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg:
“He is a faker,” she said of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, going point by point, as if presenting a legal brief. “He has no consistency about him. He says whatever comes into his head at the moment. He really has an ego. … How has he gotten away with not turning over his tax returns? The press seems to be very gentle with him on that.”
