Call me cynical, but this announced speech by Secretary John Kerry only inspires thoughts of the Obama administration laying dangerous ideological land mines the incoming Trump administration will have to navigate.
(CNN) Secretary of State John Kerry will deliver a speech Wednesday on the Obama administration’s vision for Middle East peace, State Department spokesman Mark Toner said.
The speech at the State Department comes as the relationship between the US and Israel frays following the Obama administration’s controversial decision to abstain on Friday from a UN resolution condemning Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
Kerry said at the time that, “In the coming days, I will speak further to the vote in the Security Council today and share more detailed thoughts, drawn from the experience of the last several years, on the way ahead.” (more…)
An interesting and thought provoking op-ed in The Hill outlines the issues, and asks the question. The author, David Weisberg, concludes by saying yes, President Obama will likely pardon Hillary Clinton prior to leaving the White House.
(Via The Hill) […] We should first note that the Obama administration’s decision not to prosecute Mrs. Clinton would not bind the Trump administration. Until relevant statutes of limitations have expired, she could still be prosecuted by the new administration. It is possible in my opinion for Clinton to be prosecuted for either her improper handling of classified information on “home brew,” or allegations of “pay to play” arrangements between the secretary of state and donors to the Clinton Foundation, which could constitute bribery.
The statute of limitations for most federal crimes is five years from the commission of the offense; that would apply to the two categories relevant to Mrs. Clinton. Her tenure as secretary of state ended Feb. 1, 2013, so it is possible that the statute of limitations will not run until Feb. 1, 2018, more than a year after Mr. Trump takes office.

(Via Fox News Broadcast) Israel’s government publicly accused the Obama administration Sunday of helping create and push the recently passed United Nations resolution condemning settlement activity, with a top official telling Fox News they have “ironclad information” on the U.S. government’s involvement.
“We have rather ironclad information from sources in both the Arab world and internationally that this was a deliberate push by the United States and in fact they helped create the resolution in the first place”.

After a shameful political move against Israel at the U.N. yesterday, the scope of this hypocrisy is stunning:
The feedback people are sending to Secretary of State Kerry’s tweet are exactly what you would think it would be. Unreal, he would send this out.
(A Testimonial from Emily Roden) Nine years ago, I showed up to the Denton County Courthouse for jury duty and got myself picked for the job. A young girl had accused her mom’s boyfriend of sexual assault and the case was being brought to trial.
If you’ve ever served on a jury trial before, you understand the almost immediate, yet very temporary bond that ties 12 strangers together who are randomly chosen from each of their private lives in order to fulfill a very solemn public purpose.
One of our first tasks was to choose our jury foreman.
Perhaps it was his business suit, his impressive stature, or his charisma, but almost everyone in that jury room suggested that this middle-aged man with greying hair was likely the most fit for the task.
“Thanks, but I decline. I’m not interested in the spot light,” he told us. I didn’t think anything of it.
I had just bought my first BlackBerry and used my breaks to catch up on all the emails I was missing from my week at the courthouse. I recall leaving the jury room on a break with this man and remarking how busy I was and how much work I had to do. He smiled as he sat and read the paper. (more…)
Do the math within the timeline provided in this story and you will find the substance for the headline. Since the 2009 Obama speech in Cairo we have discussed the consequences against the backdrop of Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Syria and the larger mid-east.
Within the accompanying research and discussion – years ago Zurich Mike coined the phrase: “Obama killed the Mid-East Zookeepers, unlocked the big cat cages, and just walked away”…

The coded messaging within the June 2009 speech in Cairo was a message to the Middle East that America would no longer protect the various dictators, and it was safe to attack them. The Obama administration would accept their replacements, regardless of how they assumed power. The message (speech here) was transparently obvious to those who understood the ramifications.

Democrats establishing a second, parallel, U.S. government structure.
If there was anyone who doubted the previous outline we shared about the State Department operating as a complete and distinct agency of the U.S. government, today’s action from DC Democrats should put those doubts to rest.
A true “America First” diplomatic outlook is an existential threat to the preferred mission statement of the U.S. State Department. (link)

The date on the calendar might say December 2016, but the activity by the U.S. State Department, and the propaganda broadcast on CNN, is identical to February 2011.
The current propaganda geography is Aleppo Syria. Consider this:
Because all 7-year-olds in Aleppo Syria have verified twitter accounts useful for broadcasting on CNN right? Think about it.
In February 2011 the State Department tenet called “Responsibility to Protect”, or R2P was formed. Specifically, Susan Rice, Samantha Power and Hillary Clinton were the salespeople. (more…)
