The House of Representatives continues efforts to elect a Speaker of the House. Republican candidate Kevin McCarthy failed in his first-round effort on the floor in dramatic fashion. A group of conservatives blocked his path amid one of the smallest GOP House majorities in history. Democrat Hakeem Jeffries had the highest overall number of votes, but still not enough to become speaker.
As noted by Politico, “In a stunning moment of chaos on the first day of the new Congress, McCarthy and his allies will now attempt to quell the revolt, preparing members to take repeated votes as pressure mounts from their colleagues. It will mark only the second time since the Civil War that a party will need multiple attempts to choose its leader on the House floor — with all business in the chamber, even the swearing-in of members, halted until a speaker is chosen.”
Voting continues, video below. UPDATE After Three Failed Votes, the House is adjourned until noon tomorrow:
One America News host Chanel Rion interviewed President Trump last week about a variety of current events including the Ukraine-Russia conflict, the election lawsuit in Arizona and the release of Twitter File information showing the FBI working against his 2020 reelection effort. {Direct Rumble Link}
The overall interview is interesting from the perspective of a brief glimpse into how President Trump is absorbing the current revelations and the situation our nation is facing. In the unique way that only Trump can summarize, he cuts to the core truth of the 2020 election in the statement, “think of it, the government was fighting against a candidate?” If all pretenses are dropped, Donald Trump is exactly correct; that’s exactly what happened. Perhaps the #1 question I see raised in our discussion is a variation on “what are we going to do about it?”
It is a profoundly understandable question, yet it would take volumes of manuscript and dozens of hours of conversation to adequately answer. That said, the reason for the complexity of the answer is very simple.
Approximately, 72% of a healthy adult American population took an experimental COVID-19 shot as recommended by, and later demanded by, government. That’s essentially 3 out of every four Americans.
In a recent poll of the 190,000 followers to CTH on Twitter, we asked did you take the shot? More than 80% of the respondents said no.
In a national population where approximately 1 out of every 4 declined the shot, the CTH audience consists of a population where 4 out of 5 declined the shot. The CTH audience is essentially the inverse of the national population. This is a context for looking at the original question.
The proverbial ‘we’ are in agreement as to the scope of the national problem. However, ‘we’ in the larger context are in the minority. That doesn’t mean we are powerless, nor does it mean we cannot affect the change we desire. However, that context does structure the nature of the challenge, and form the baseline for any proposal that would be considered an answer.
After an election fraught with corruption within Brazil, President Jair Bolsonaro was silent as tens of millions of people filled the streets in protest. Brazilian President-elect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is in a tenuous position with the military looming and prepared for intervention.
Today, after remaining silent for 40 days, and with increased national sentiment in strong opposition to the election fraud that happened, Jair Bolsonaro spoke to a massive crowd telling them the military would follow the constitution and determine the outcome. The certification of the election is scheduled for Monday.
It appears that Bolsonaro is telling the people of Brazil that whatever the people do, they will not suffer at the hand of the Brazilian military – it appears Bolsonaro has the word of the generals within the military to support the people and not conduct violence against them. WATCH:
.
It is highly probable, given the stakes of the matter, that Joe Biden has signed a ‘finding memo’ authorizing the U.S State Department and CIA to conduct covert influence operations in the country. The security forces in/around Jair Bolsonaro appear to be on high alert as the well-liked leader talks to the people of Brazil.
(Reuters) – Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro broke his silence on Friday for the first time since his election defeat on Oct. 30 and spoke to supporters calling for a military coup to stop leftist President-elect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva taking office.
Bolsonaro said he had kept silent for almost 40 days, adding, “it hurts my soul.”
I am ONE Hour into listening to the Three-Hour broadcast that Elon Musk joined tonight {YouTube Here}, and the amount of cognitive dissonance and circular discussion is off the proverbial charts.
Elon Musk joins the “Twitter Stages” conversation at 01:03:00 of the VIDEO HERE. Musk noted that in addition to Matt Taibbi he has given the Twitter files to Bari Weiss. However, the debate over what DC bureaucrats did -and are doing- from within the Biden administration, to censor speech, take down social media content and stop information adverse to their political interests, is a futile conversation without the full understanding of the current U.S. surveillance state.
Some of the stage participants on the call with Mr. Musk have self-identified as targeted by the intelligence community, some are under active and ongoing investigation, yet they do not seem to have an understanding of what this U.S. social media surveillance system is.
We cannot fight our way through the issues until we first realize what lies at the root of the problem.
Barack Obama and Eric Holder did not create a weaponized DOJ and FBI; the institutions were already weaponized by the Patriot Act. What Obama and Holder did was take the preexisting system and retool it, so the weapons of government only targeted one side of the political continuum.
This point is where many people understandably get confused.
Elevator Speech:
(1) The Patriot Act turned the intel surveillance radar from foreign searches for terrorists to domestic searches for terrorists.
(2) Obama/Biden then redefined what is a “terrorist” to include their political opposition.
For his weekly monologue UK pundit Neil Oliver discusses the insufferable misery of those who try to cancel Christmas. Mr Oliver shares the importance of the meaning of Christmas in an eloquent and powerful manner.
The message is uplifting and needed, especially at such an uncertain time for so many around the world. We must never forget our Christian roots and how deeply humanity is connected to its history. YOU are the light he speaks of in the final sentence. WATCH:
[Transcript] – For the second year in a row, the Christmas trees are going up early round my way. More and more households that would, in the world of before, have waited until the second or third week in December before decking the halls … have already gone the whole nine yards with the trees and twinkly lights. We are doing likewise in our house. I won’t lie … I love it. Every bit of it.
I love Christmas … always have and always will. In every conceivable way, Christmas is light in a time of darkness and for many of us, that light has never been more welcome and so can’t come soon enough.
Jumpin’ ju-ju bones, Neil Oliver is going to that place publicly and loudly, that many of us have contemplated and discussed quietly with hushed tones and knowing nods.
What Oliver outlines in this monologue does not need much discussion amid the audience awaiting its arrival. After all, he is basically discussing the logical consequence to the current state of political affairs not only in the U.K but also in the United States. However, that said, it is rather remarkable in the era of government sponsored fear of rebellion, complete with labels of domestic extremism attached, to see Oliver’s voice bravely citing the outcome.
With 87,000 new IRS agents authorized by the regime quietly assembling for their assault, as Oliver notes, “there is nothing to fear if we have each other” and are willing to stand the gap as an ally for our fellow man. What Oliver is saying is profound, true and could – in the most significant of ways, lead to a new beginning. Yes, it is talk of a united rebellion, and that’s exactly what we need. WATCH:
[Transcript] – People write to me every day to tell me they fear the future. People from all over the world, all ages, all walks of life. I say this: we should not be afraid. If anyone should be afraid it is our government, the whole of parliament, the State and the Establishment. They should be afraid because they are in the wrong – doing wrong things and behaving unforgivably.
You can tell they are afraid by the way they keep doing more and more, faster and faster, to make the people poor, cold and hungry – also demoralised, anxious and fearful about the present, never mind the future. The fear felt by people around the world is the deliberate consequence of the actions of so-called leaders all across the West and beyond.
I say again, we should not be afraid. Those plotting and working against us, against our interests both as individuals and as sovereign states, have no power and no money other than that which we, the people grant them. They are supposed to use that power and money to protect us, to keep us free and to provide opportunities for those hard working, free people to make happy and successful lives for themselves. Instead, they are working night and day to have us welcome a state of being that is nothing less than digital enslavement.
I have given a great deal of thought to this in the past several years and I am welcoming all opinions. Just to let you know I intend to read every single comment, because ultimately this is important. AND I believe it will become a salient topic in the next two years [As did the recent conversation of Ballots -vs- Votes].
In 2010 the Supreme Court ruled on a campaign finance legal challenge known colloquially as The Citizens United decision. The essence of the decision was a speech issue. In the court’s opinion, Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote that limiting “independent political spending” from corporations and other groups violates the First Amendment right to free speech.
Prior to CU corporations were limited in financial spending on behalf of political campaigns just like individuals. However, unions were not. Organized Labor Unions could spend unlimited amounts in support of candidates. Corporations were limited like individuals.
At the time of the January 2010 Supreme Court ruling Democrats and Barack Obama were furious. Corporations could now form SuperPACs and spend unlimited amounts of money ‘independently’ supporting candidates.
Federal Election Commission (FEC) rules on coordination and communication between the political campaigns and the independent SuperPACs was/is supposed to create a firewall. However, the obscure nature of that effort has failed miserably.
Real World Example. A SuperPAC can organize a pro-Ben rally, spend on the venue, spend on the banners, t-shirts, rally material etc., and then advertise it. If Ben shows up to deliver a speech, he’s not breaking the rules so long as Ben and the SuperPAC didn’t coordinate the event. Ben just shows up to share his support for the effort, thank everyone and everything is legal in the eyes of the FEC. Yeah, it’s goofy.
More commonly as a result of the Citizens United (CU) case, massive corporate advertising (considered speech) is permitted in support of the candidate; or the corporation can organize ballot collection or get out the vote efforts, etc. Again, as long as they do not coordinate with any “official campaign” ie. Mark Zuckerbucks, yeah, goofy. As a result, expanded corporate spending has massive influence over U.S. elections.
Steve Bannon does a good job in the first eight minutes of this War Room segment {Direct Rumble Link} framing the context of the corporate stakes in the 2024 election. The reference to former Republican Governor Scott Walker, and who was backing him, is accurate and strong context {Go Deep}.
Bannon notes the nature of the republican donor-class dynamic as it relates to their multinational interests in controlling the RNC corporate outcome. While Bannon doesn’t go into the details of the donor controlled 2024 ¹roadmap, the big picture of what he explains is right on the money. WATCH (first 8 mins):
[¹CTH has that roadmap essentially pieced together, the only two things missing are, (1) firming the sequencing and (2) the rule changes from Jan/Feb 2023, so we can show how it all connects. However, most of the GOPe candidates are already identified, funded and are in the preliminary stages of preparation.]
DeSantis will be the last to enter the 2024 race for two primary reasons: (1) the goal of the entrants between now and then is to weaken, ridicule and attack Trump; and (2) if DeSantis gets in too early, people will see that he planned to do this all along -and- the recognized trickery may sour people to the corporate club objective.
Tonight, President Donald J Trump, together with his family, will be making a highly anticipated announcement from his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. Approximately 600 guests and dignitaries are at the venue in advance of the remarks from President Trump. Many political pundits anticipate an announcement to run for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination.
The anticipated start time is 9:00pm ET with Rumble livestream links below.
