Speaking in South Carolina today, presidential candidate Ron DeSantis blamed President Trump for the events of January 6, 2021, in Washington DC saying, “I think it was shown how he was in the White House and didn’t do anything while things were going on. Should he have come out more forcefully? Of course.” However, DeSantis affirmed he does not believe Trump’s transgressions amounted to criminal conduct. “But to try to criminalize that, that’s a different issue entirely,” the Florida governor noted.
Governor DeSantis then tacked to his preferred position that politicians should not be criminally targeted and promised if he was elected, he would do a more reach-across-the-decorum, saying “I think that we want to be in a situation where you don’t have one side just constantly trying to put the other side in jail.”
DeSantis pledging to return civility to the Dept of Justice comes on the same day the DOJ is about to deploy yet another indictment against the political opposition of the current administration. I’m not sure the civility DeSantis requires would be afforded by the institutions DeSantis supports. WATCH:

Using twisted legal theories as advanced by the Lawfare agents behind him, special counsel Jack Smith is reportedly trying to construct criminal charges around a conspiracy to defraud the United States and obstruction of an official proceeding.
Under this stretched legal theory, President Donald Trump simply by contesting the 2020 election, is responsible for efforts to stop Congress’ certification of President Joe Biden’s presumed electoral victory. According to the criminal approach, contesting an election result is an effort to defraud the US Government.
It seems rather odd because it is nuts.

Something is suspicious about this in the presentation, the timing and even the wording.
Ray Epps was a guy who attended the events in/around Washington DC on January 5th and January 6th, 2021. There is a lot of video footage of Ray Epps instructing people to go to the Capitol building. Despite a rather voluminous amount of evidence, Ray Epps was never charged with any conduct related to the events of January 6th.
According to a lawsuit Epps filed against Tucker Carlson and Fox News claiming the outlet targeted and defamed him, Ray Epps states, “in May 2023, the Department of Justice notified Epps that it would seek to charge him criminally for events on January 6, 2021—two-and-a-half years later.” [lawsuit citation – pg 41]
First, since when does the DOJ inform a suspect in advance they are seeking to charge him? Second, timing. It is now mid-July; where’s the indictment? Third, the wording is suspicious – the DOJ would “seek to charge him criminally.” Meaning, the Dept of Justice told Epps they were going to make efforts to arrest him?
Considering the lawsuit itself if dependent on a very specific narrative; and considering the lawsuit itself if dependent on a sympathy construct within that narrative; and considering the media narrative has been about wrongly targeted Epps by right-wing disinformation white nationalists, something is not passing the sniff test.
Suspicious Cat remains, well, suspicious.

Beyond the big picture of the Biden justice department filing a criminal indictment against the man who provided the FBI with evidence of Joe and Hunter Biden’s corrupt dealings with the FBI, is the secondary point of the Biden DOJ once again using FARA violations as the tip of the spear against their targets.

Quite a remarkable development. Dr. Luft was the one who contacted the FBI/DOJ with the information. Now Dr. Luft is the target for giving the information to the FBI/DOJ.

For two days Bannon Warroom frequent guest, Attorney Mike Davis, has been trying desperately to defend his friend, RNC Committeewoman Harmeet Dhillon, for her participation in a California GOP scheme to support Ron DeSantis with proportional delegates.
In a series of Tweets and statements, Mike Davis continually said he had firsthand knowledge the Trump campaign was aware of the rule change and did not contest it. However, Davis refused to say who on the Trump campaign had this knowledge and seemingly approved the delegate plan without challenge.
Mr. Davis became increasingly unhinged when questioned about the issue, because it just did not make sense; yet, Davis continued to claim the Trump campaign was aware.
It became increasingly obvious to those watching the repeated desperate denials that something was afoot, and it just did not reconcile. In short, the most likely scenario was that Mike Davis was being dishonest and less than fulsome with his statements. However, despite his credibility hanging in the balance, Mike Davis publicly continued to stick to his guns.
By the end of the second day, he really had no option; he had painted himself into a corner. When asked again last night by myself and others, he responded, “Why would I ever reveal the names of loyal Trump workers—names told to me in confidence?” Apparently painting the mysterious campaign workers as loyal to Trump, even though the rule they seemingly approved would be unfavorable to President Trump.
After Harmeet Dhillon began her own retreat, it became obvious the fabrications were soon to collapse. Mike Davis modified slightly clarifying that President Trump personally was unaware. “I never said President Trump saw or approved anything. I said the Trump campaign was briefed about the proposed rules change and didn’t object.”
UPDATE: Richard Baris (People’s Pundit) was able to contact the Trump campaign to ask them directly. According to Baris relaying information from the campaign, the Trump Campaign was not aware of any California GOP rule changes and were not notified of the plan as designed by Jessica Patterson, Shawn Steel and Harmeet Dhillon, to change the delegate apportionments.
Mr. Mike Davis, the former Chief Counsel for judicial nominations to Senator Chuck Grassley, former law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Gorsuch and frequent guest on the Steve Bannon Warroom podcast, lied in all his public statements.
Mike Davis wants to be the next Trump appointed Attorney General for the United States. Take from that, what you will.
Former Director of National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe, appears on Fox News to point out the obvious inconsistencies with the claims by the DOJ in their effort to protect Hunter Biden and the Biden family from investigations.
