Rob Schmitt Gives Solid Summary of H1B Debate

Newsmax Rob Schmitt gives a good summary of the H1B immigration debate that has caught fire amid the Trump support base.

The initial issue surfaced with the appointment of Sriram Krishnan to serve as Senior Policy Advisor for Artificial Intelligence at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. [Source] Krishnan has previously advocated for removing all limits on Indian immigrant use of H1B.

Vivek Ramaswamy, David Sacks and Elon Musk came to the immediate defense of their friend and colleague Sriram Krishan, while MAGA Americans started to look very closely at the use of H1B visas.  Things rapidly escalated from there.

A Highly Toxic Silicon Valley Meltdown Over Well Documented H1B Visa Fraud Explodes

The Silicon Valley immigration priority was not the topic I thought would explode and fracture the tenuous MAGA alignment with the New Big Tech group represented by Elon Musk and his billionaire network. However, we learn more every day.

This is a jaw-dropping moment to watch unfold as a very influential sector of the political discourse begins a full-frontal attack against those who are pointing out how the tech community abuse H1B visas to replace American workers. In the background, of course, is the context of widespread immigration policy fraud being one of the priorities for the average Trump supporter.

The Silicon Valley team do not seem to review discussion of the H1B manipulation/fraud within the larger American economy as a problem, as long as the discussion of the visa fraud does not impact their business models. However, as soon as the H1B abuse started to be framed around Silicon Valley’s participation therein, the New Big Tech group take a nuclear war approach to defending their interests.

[SOURCE]

Having followed the immigration issue for a long time, yet specifically only having a big picture review of the H1B visa issues, it has been astounding to watch how Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, David Sacks and the Silicon Valley supporters and influencers are responding to having the H1B visa fraud confronted.  The self-interest in their defense is just astronomical to watch unfold.

Empowered by what can only be reasonably defined as their perceived influence over President Trump, the new-era Tech team are quite forcefully telling the MAGA base of Trump-supporting American workers that their concerns, views and perspectives are irrelevant.

It appears that most of the explosive sentiments revolve around H1B visas in the tech sector issued to Indian workers specifically.  Apparently, the friendships, networks and teams attached to the sector of computer engineering carry with them an emotional component.  I guess that should not be a surprise considering this is essentially a peer-to-peer wagon circling, in defense of the H1B visa problems in the tech sector.

President Trump Indicates Bill Gates is Going to Mar-a-Lago

On December 19th we noted, “Apple CEO Tim Cook and META CEO Mark Zuckerberg were previous guests at Mar-a-Lago for tech meetings before Bezos. Heck, all that’s needed now is for Bill Gates to show up and a wormhole revealing a parallel universe is likely to open.”…

Well apparently, the universe is folding upon itself. President Trump has indicated that Bill Gates is scheduled to appear in Mar-a-Lago for a meeting with President Trump.

The last arrival to the southern White House was Amazon founder Jeff Bezos (AWS), who hedged his bets too long and was late in supporting President Trump before the election.  This has put Bezos in a position of riding his bicycle in slow circles at the end of the driveway while Musk (xAI), Ellison (Oracle) and Thiel (Palantir) have full access ‘insider’ passes along with their ally Vice-President Elect JD Vance.

Donald Trump Jr Outlines Background of How He Extensively Negotiated with RFK Jr to Join Trump Team

Previously, Donald Trump Jr discussed how he organized and coached his father Donald Trump to enlist JD Vance as the Vice-President nominee on the 2024 ticket.  However, it appears Donald Trump Jr did much more than just recruit and select JD Vance to be his fathers’ running mate.

In a podcast interview with Sean Kelly, Donald Trump Jr outlines how he personally “worked on it for several months” eventually making contact with Robert F Kennedy Jr, then negotiating and organizing the Kennedy group to join with candidate Donald Trump in 2024.

According to President Trump’s eldest son, it was he who organized everything surrounding RFK Jr and Tulsi Gabbard joining the Trump team.  As Don Jr noted, he anticipated RFK Jr doing better than anyone “I could put at HHS.” Quite a remarkable accomplishment.  WATCH (prompted):

President Trump Reports Border Wall Auction Has Been Stopped

In a post on his Truth Social page, President Trump shared some information from Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick who is reporting that the border wall panels have been pulled from auction.

[Source]

Last Thursday, President-elect Trump submitted an amicus brief supporting an injunction to prevent the Biden administration from proceeding with the sale of the materials, as well as calling for an investigation into the legality of the auction. Earlier that week, President Trump remarked that the sale was “almost a criminal act” given that it was happening shortly before he was set to return to the White House.

It appears the 8,000 panels will be available for use immediately after President Trump takes office on January 20, 2025.

Mark Steyn Outlines the Problem of the DC Corrupt Courts

In a just and righteous world, otherwise known as the sunny side of my best-life dream state, political satirist, author and eloquent assembler of word thoughts, Mark Steyn, would be filling the radio airwaves in the timeslot of Rush Limbaugh, while taking a break from broadcasting only to be the sarcastic Press Secretary for President Trump’s second term. Alas, such dreams are just that, dreams.

In this segment from a speech delivered on September 18, 2024, during a Hillsdale College Constitution Day Celebration, Mark Steyn outlines the state of the anti-Trump DC court system while contrast against his own lawsuit in the venue.

This is the Lawfare system that President Trump is scheduled to face, yet again, beginning in approximately 28 days.  Steyn’s description of the DC superior court deserves a special place in the annals of political history.  WATCH:

President Donald Trump and Panama President José Raúl Mulino Spar Over Panama Canal

After President Trump noted there are issues with the Panama Canal management, costs and fees being paid by American transit companies for goods that flow through the canal, the President of Panama José Raúl Mulino hit back strongly.

President Mulino is a conservative nationalist who won election seven months ago.  Mulino did not like the implications of President Trump contemplating a renegotiation of the Panama Canal Treaty, with ownership and management given by the USA to Panama in 1999.  Mulino hit back releasing a video statement [SEE HERE] with the transcript of his remarks below:

“As President, I want to express clearly that every square meter of the Panama Canal and its adjacent area belongs to Panama, and will continue to do so. The sovereignty and independence of our country are not negotiable.

Every Panamanian, here or anywhere in the world, carries it in their heart, and it is part of our history of struggle and an irreversible conquest.

The Torrijos-Carter Treaties of 1977 agreed to the dissolution of the former Canal Zone, recognizing Panamanian sovereignty and the complete transfer of the Canal to Panama, which ended on December 31, 1999. And we will soon celebrate the 25th anniversary of this transfer. Since then, there have been no objections or claims; on the contrary, it has been a source of strong international support and national pride. It was operated and expanded by Panamanian decision and today represents a great asset that contributes billions of dollars to our economy.

Bygones Being Bygones – Funny Moment of Unity Between Donald Trump and Ted Cruz

President Trump created a significant moment during his talk at AmFest when he complimented Senator Ted Cruz and invited him onto the stage.

It is well remembered how duplicitous Ted! refused to endorse President Trump at the 2016 nomination convention and instead led the Never-Trump rebellion against the MAGA administration.  It was recorded in history as likely the worst moment of political judgement in the era of MAGA; the only other moment of political tonedeafeness that comes close, was when Ron DeSantis chose to challenge Trump again in the 2024 contest.

However, that said, President Trump is well known to be a man of intense forgiveness and grace toward those who oppose him.  Trump is a man who gives many chances, and during AmFest’24 President Trump showed that keen leadership spirit again with Senator Ted Cruz.  The jokes were soft, subtle and yet remarkably Trumpy as he had fun knowing the audience was well aware of the background.  WATCH:

.

Senator Ted Cruz has never recovered his diminished status from that 2016 moment, even with the scale of grace presented by President Donald Trump.  There’s just no comparison between a MAGA Godzilla and a GOP alligator.  Even CNN knew…

Newt Gingrich Breaks Down the House Spending Mess and Speaker Johnson’s Effort

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich discusses the House spending bill last week and the eventual outcome.  Much of Gingrich’s advice on the issues are very pragmatic and pertinent to the current status of the Republicans in the House.

Gingrich notes that President Trump’s legislative agenda is dependent on all of the Republicans getting on the same page and putting their differences aside when it comes time to voteWATCH:
