Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich discusses the House spending bill last week and the eventual outcome. Much of Gingrich’s advice on the issues are very pragmatic and pertinent to the current status of the Republicans in the House.

I have stopped using Youtube due to their
“sign in” requirement.
I am Not giving out my information to Youtube or anyone other entity that I do not trust.

I felt the same and would never sign in. Is it my imagination or did they stop doing this. I wasn’t paying close attention but it seems I’ve been able to see whatever I wanted on Youtube lately with no sign in. It’s hard to keep track when these kind of entities keep going back and forth with what they want.
There is no excuse for Johnson’s behavior other than intentional duplicity. If you are building a road to somewhere you remove all obstacles in your path.

Perhaps it would helpful to reflect on why “excuse” was chosen?
After all, that word is typically associated with personal offence that’s so unforgiveable that when combined with the word “no” to create the phrase “there is no excuse” implies the creator also wants NO mercy to be granted to the offender.

There is more than one meaning for “excuse”, specifically in this context. This is how I always interpret the phrase “there is no excuse”, which does not imply anything about “mercy”… only whether something is wrong or right. No?
