In a just and righteous world, otherwise known as the sunny side of my best-life dream state, political satirist, author and eloquent assembler of word thoughts, Mark Steyn, would be filling the radio airwaves in the timeslot of Rush Limbaugh, while taking a break from broadcasting only to be the sarcastic Press Secretary for President Trump’s second term. Alas, such dreams are just that, dreams.
In this segment from a speech delivered on September 18, 2024, during a Hillsdale College Constitution Day Celebration, Mark Steyn outlines the state of the anti-Trump DC court system while contrast against his own lawsuit in the venue.
This is the Lawfare system that President Trump is scheduled to face, yet again, beginning in approximately 28 days. Steyn’s description of the DC superior court deserves a special place in the annals of political history. WATCH:

President Trump should fire every federal attorney in the District of Columbia. They can’t deliver pain to innocent Americans if none of the crooked and traitorous SOB’s are left in DC to prosecute anyone.
With no federal attorneys to work in government defense, plaintiffs suing federal government defendants in DC can then all win by default.
There would be a lot of “justice” in that. Presumably all the monies granted plaintiffs in default judgments would at least be paid mostly to Americans instead of billions blown to enrich foreign scoundrels overseas to be generously split and kicked back to American politicians. If trillions of dollars are to be blown, let regular Americans collect the lion’s share of it.
Federal judges in DC can then play video games to pass the time.
President Trump should fire all the prosecutors in the Washington DC US Attorney’s Office!

So 92% of the D.C. area residents are Ds and work mostly for the gubmint. Elon and Vivek will be busy downsizing. In the mean time, defund office and they are defunct just like they just did in the following office.
Massive defunding plus dissolving department will leave many of these 92% without jobs and no prospects within the government. Let’s make DC a ghost town.

Abolish the DC Circuit Court. Restrict the DC District court to hearing cases of regular criminal activity in the District. Anything political or policy oriented gets heard out in the hinterlands. This can be done by statute with no constitutional complications as the Congress has the authority to establish the inferior courts. Only the Supreme Court is specified
I love that dream of Mr. Steyn being Press Secretary in Trump’s second term. That would be so much fun. I would Never Miss a press conference. I can’t stop smiling thinking about it. We could invent imaginary scenarios of what this would be like. Ha ha.
the House of Representatives is Constitutionally in complete control of the courts except the SC. The House can ABOLISH the DC courts thus the associated JUDGSHIPS!!! Do they have the balls to do it? Prob. not.

To this day, I’ll never understand why Steyn wasn’t chosen to continue Rush’s show. He was always my favorite guest host. The new hosts are terminal “rank amateurs” and not worth your time.

Really miss Steyn. I listened to a great pod cast about his law suit with Mann. He is not in good health with heart issues and at the time of the podcast was using a wheel chair.
Lawfare is just the muscle end of the Uniparty crime syndicate. They just use subpoenas instead of bullets.
The DC courts should not exist because DC is not a normal entity. It is a federal enclave. As such all DC courts should be abolished and any Federal case normally handled in DC should be handled by another federal jurisdiction at random. This would eliminate jury shopping and the crazy judges we see.
