Police believe 22-year-old Lindsey Sparkles Lashayla became angry at the way 21-year-old Kim Kilgore was driving. Lashayla allegedly followed Kim to her apartment and then shot and killed her. Police do not believe that Kilgore and Lashayla had ever met before.
If the races were reversed this story would be a major national news story as a “racial hate crime.” Instead it is quarantined to local Georgia news while avoiding racial motives.
GEORGIA (Cobb County) – Cobb County police have arrested and charged a suspect in the fatal shooting of a college student following a road rage incident in Kennesaw early Friday morning.
(CBS News) An NYPD undercover detective has now been arrested in connection with an attack on a family in an SUV by a group of motorcyclists, reports CBS News’ John Miller.

The officer is expected to be charged with criminal mischief for allegedly banging on and breaking the rear window of the SUV. The detective waited four days before coming forward to the NYPD and he allegedly made false statements about his involvement, reports Miller.
In other news, there is new video of the road rage attack in New York City in which several men appear to be kicking the driver of an SUV while he laid on the ground. Police say Alexian Lien was pulled out of his vehicle. Another man is seen stepping in to stop the assault. (read more)
Over a budget squabble, and because they are trying to make a petty political point, you are watching this administration kick people out of their homes because they live on federal land. You are seeing them block roads just to make sure you can’t see national monuments like Mount Rushmore. They’ve even proclaimed you can’t use the ocean.
Worse yet, you are even seeing them block off War Memorials so that veterans or families cannot visit, pay their respects, and sit in quiet reflection of their fallen brothers and sisters, moms and dads…. this is how petty, angry, and hateful they are.
Mr. Pinko asks… “Vindictive Government?” …..So what exactly do you think they’d be willing to do, to really make a point, if they held control over your healthcare access?

Just think about it…

NEW YORK – A defiant motorcyclist caught on video smashing an SUV window with his helmet after a wild chase in upper Manhattan gave the middle finger to reporters in court Sunday.
Reginald (Reggie) Chance, 37, was in Manhattan Criminal Court facing assault and gang assault charges in the brutal beating of Alexian Lien when he flipped off reporters with both middle fingers moments before he appeared in front of a judge.
Chance is the rider wearing a black leather jacket, in the viral video of the Sept. 29 chase, who violently smashes the driver’s window with his helmet, the criminal complaint alleges.

[…] Once they trapped the vehicle, the thugs even tried to grab Lien’s wife, who was inside with the couple’s 2-year-old, a witness who’s being hailed as a good Samaritan said Sunday. (more…)

…. When it was his turn at the register, he asked the 23-year-old employee for a $1.41 Swisher Sweet cigar, according to Lakewood sheriff’s deputies. The man handed the woman a dollar bill.
When she told him he needed an additional 41 cents, he protested and threatened her, authorities said.
The man can be seen trying to grab the cigar out of the employee’s hand, but she was able to put it behind the counter out of his reach.
Yesterday President Stompy Feet posed for his latest national portrait. Today the park service admits they were told to inflict the maximum public pain during the government shutdown. Also today, the Border Patrol reveals they have been told to “Stand Down” and ignore border crossings.
All of this why?
Because the actual truth is people are awakening to the reality that most of the federal government is *non essential*; and, quite frankly, we can just do without them. THAT is the real risk to sellers of BIG government. It’s the same visible reality that stemmed from the ‘sequester cuts’ which, despite all the protestations to the contrary, really don’t have impact. That’s the real issue. (more…)
TreeHouse Team Ponderings: Little one’s hair is nicely cared for and she’s wearing cute, clean clothes. Which makes one think mental illness on the part of caregiver/mom-person is not as significant a factor as perhaps they would like it to be?

This child looks properly cared for by a relative and thus, whatever the dead person did today was not primarily a result of mental illness, but a decision. Just a thought. In addition, the child is not behaving hysterically in the way that children accustomed to abusive surroundings might rip loose when “something else” goes wrong.

The child appears to be responding to a caring adult in an appropriate manner…not clinging or freaking out–but trusting. Again, that suggests the chaos was a result of deliberate decisions, not a result (primarily) of “mental illness.”
[O]ne of the very first newsmen on the scene was a reporter for Alhurra (“The Free One”)TV? They shot the first video all the stations were using.
Alhurra is operated by the non-profit corporation “The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc.” (MBN). MBN is financed by the U.S. Government through a grant from the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), an independent federal agency. The BBG serves oversight and as a firewall to protect the professional independence and integrity of the broadcasters. (link)
