Immediately after President Trump announced a strategic energy supply deal with Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin, Ukraine President Zelenskyy ordered drone strikes against the Russian oil/fuel export terminal NZNP.
The targeted terminal is located in the Zheleznodorozhny district of Rostov-on-Don, and it is used to transship petroleum products including diesel fuel for exports toward the west. {SOURCE, Ukraine Today}
The intention of Zelenskyy’s targeting is obvious to anyone who has followed the conflict between Russia-Ukraine and the involvement of EU-NATO countries in keeping maximum conflict at the forefront. They do not want a strategic agreement between Putin and Trump.
Hours before the Ukraine targeting of the NZNP export terminal, President Trump announced a strategic agreement with President Putin for refined diesel exports over the next six months. This Trump-Putin agreement was against the interests of Zelenskyy and specifically against the interests of his benefactors in London, because Putin and Trump are working outside the “western market pricing system”.

Once you understand those three previous outlines, then you understand exactly why the U.K. needs Zelenskyy to stop this agreement between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. London’s entire market control system is at risk. It’s all connected.

These are two recent examples of Trump working around the traditional western system of financial control within the “market system”. These are also two transactions that cut out the middlemen completely. Trump is aligned ideologically with the BRICS position on energy exploitation. However, it’s actually more consequential than just an alignment of interests. The biggest economy in the world, the economy that establishes the currency used in most global trade, is now aligning in common purpose against the financial schemes of London, while RETAINING the dollar as the central trade currency.
Trump is telling BRICS there’s no reason to replace the dollar, we can just replace the manipulation.
London must be going bananas, and Zelenskyy is their tool to stop Trump.
I must admit to being a little puzzled and amazed:
How is it that the Russians do not have the capability to defend these installations adequately?

One would think that they would be on High Alert militarily around their refineries!
One must assume that they do not have such capabilities, since both situations persist!
Drones seem to be almost unstoppable. Apparently our Navy can stop them. Even swarms can be stopped. But it takes hoards of expensive missiles. New weapons are being introduced that can destroy drone hoards cheaply. But who else can do this? Maybe Israel?
Also, Ukraine seems to have infiltrated the vastness that is Russia. Even if they had the ability, can it be spread, not just across a very long border, but throughout the vast lands?
Missiles are not required to take out those drones.
U.S. Navy Destroyers can take them out well enough between the electronic warfare suite they possess and laser systems they are being outfitted with.
The only issue is that there are only so many of the Destroyers to be had, they cannot be everywhere at all times.
There is other anti-drone weaponry being deployed at we speak. Anti-drone drones, smaller laser systems setup like existing mobile air defense systems. Lots of developments.
Heck, the U.S. Army even has a project to develop a new seeker head to turn the less expensive 75mm rockets into semi-guided anti-drone munitions for the larger drones. Which can then be loaded by the dozens into rocket pods and mounted onto the A-10 or other.
Ships, which Russian doesn’t have like ours, are absolutely useless over a huge landmass. And it doesn’t matter what WE have, it’s what the Russians DON’T have to defend themselves.
Sure, but the laser systems can be adapted and mounted onto vehicles.
Same with a lot of the homebrew electronic warfare tech that the ruskies actually have come up with and used. Enough so that the Ukies are using a lot of optical fiber guided drones. At least until the lines get cut by another drone or person in the right spot with cutters.

You can not trust everything you hear in the media. Including at times in the Gateway Pundit regarding this conflict. Ukraine is having everything blown up, including fuel stations, electric grids, trains, all their industrial capacity, and they are blocked by sea of any shipments in and out.
They do not have an endless supply of capable drones, produced internally nor imported. These drones even in swarms cannot carry enough charge to blow up a fuel tank. Oil prices have been manipulated at least going back to the 70s and the emergence of OPEC, and then the creation of the digital futures markets. Before then, the historical price of oil in real terms was around $26 a barrel.
At the margin, the price of oil should settle at the cost of extraction, refining, and transportation, because the known reserves are decades, if not centuries of required demand. Yes, there is an element of exploration and drilling cost, but that does not move the needle on price in the short term, and is a small fraction of the current cost basis when spread over annual production.
Any premium that is being paid now is driven by market manipulation – some through futures front running, and some through producer self induced constraints on supply. Seven months into the military action in Iran, there is no reason for the >60% spike in price over what it was in the beginning of the year.
And even with the issues in the Strait early on, there is no reason why the price of diesel is up over a dollar more per gallon than gasoline. There are no shortages, so the storyline about supply chain disruptions is all a myth. This is no different than the storylines about OPEC quotas driving prices over $100 a barrel over the last few decades. The financial futures markets are controlled to set the price.

There are constraints in finished product here with refineries. every price increase at pump yields more tax revenue to state. Herein Cali! Diesel is $8/ regular gas between $6 & 7 depending on blend and state taxes are about 74 cents per gallon, plus add on sales tax and hefty, two refineries her in Northern California are shut and ha e left the state because the government in Sacramento is nuts, and high on deficits and boondoggles!
Just wait until Newsom closes the El Segundo Chevron refinery that feeds LAX next year as scheduled.
In an unfettered spot and futures market, refinery constraints would at worst be an intermediate term issue. If diesel is profitable at $3.50 a gallon, at $6.50 a gallon the windfall profits are monumental. Variable cost per barrel/gallon is relatively fixed, so a dollar more in price is a dollar more in profit across the supply chain. If the market was competitive, companies would chase those windfalls by increasing capacity, not overnight, but there is no ceiling on capacity in the intermediate term. There is very little difference between the supply constraint collusion in the OPEC heyday and now.
Yes, there are EPA/regulatory limitations to creating new refinery capacity that are imposed, but the existing refinery infrastructure is never near full capacity, and with the recent price increases, demand inevitably has downward pressure already. There is no way to rationalize an 85% increase in diesel price 7 months into this military action.

Agreeing to purchase diesel fuel from Russia means that President Trump and Vladimir Putin agreed on an exchange rate converting rubles into dollars. That is a new Bretton Woods. Hours after Zelensky accused Washington of using Ukraine’s negotiators as a “smokescreen” for a backroom deal with Moscow, Axios reported that Trump decided to let Russia sell diesel after Zelensky ignored half a dozen US requests to stop attacking Russian oil refineries. The alleged source was a US official with direct knowledge, who did not hold back:
“Zelensky is misreading the room. By continuing to hit refineries, he is eroding the good will that he has built with Trump over the last six months.”
In other words, the sanctions waiver was as much a message to Kyiv as a gift to Moscow. So how did we get to this latest geopolitical twist, what is Trump actually got for lifting sanctions (spoiler: less than nine days of fuel), and why is the deal is on a collision course with the one Ukrainian policy Kyiv says it won’t give up. Let’s dig in.

I’m certainly no expert, and this may be an oversimplification, but it seems to me that President Putin has been remarkably restrained wrt to how and where he’s come against Ukraine so far.
With the removal of a few key bridges and some direct hits on Kyiv it would be game over for the little green z. It would be brutal, but it would certainly be swift and decisive.
I suppose his approach so far has possibly been one of draining the british and EU of resources and US support while the world catches on to the british/nato backstabbers’ anti-US agenda, which is apparently happening, so I guess we’ll see now that we’re about to have the looming midterms behind us.

In a significant first of the seven-month long Iran war, Russian President Vladimir Putin has relayed to US President Donald Trump Tehran’s position on a possible resolution to the US-Iran war, according to the Kremlin.
So far it is only the Kremlin readout of the two leaders’ Friday call which mentions the Iran proposal was conveyed, however it didn’t specify what they discussed in particular.
“During the October 9 telephone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump, considerable focus was on prospects for settling the Ukraine crisis, while the situation surrounding Iran and various aspects of bilateral relations were touched upon as well,” Putin said in the statement.
While the big news of the weekend is the major Trump-Putin diesel deal, if it is confirmed that Putin has begun directly mediating on behalf of Tehran, this marks a huge precedent and possible turning point in the Iran conflict.

Russia’s Interfax news agency quoted Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov as saying Putin sent the message to Trump “in agreement with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian,” according to a Google translation.
Other Russian media reports said Putin spoke to Trump by phone after the Russian leader met Pezeshkian on the sidelines of a summit in Turkmenistan.
Interfax didn’t elaborate on the specifics of how Iran sees the war — which began on Feb. 28 with U.S. and Israeli airstrikes on Iranian targets — coming to an end.
There were reports early after Trump launching Operation Epic Fury that Moscow was willing to help negotiate peace between Moscow and Tehran; however, Moscow has largely been on the sidelines – and Qatar and Pakistan in particular have been the lead mediators.
