Former Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard delivered a very strong speech to the audience of the Texas Youth Summit about the growing surveillance state. As DNI Tulsi Gabbard has direct personal knowledge of this issue. It is very well worth listening to this speech in full.
The second half of the speech touches upon the second concern noted by Gabbard, the spread of Islamist ideology and how it is against the core foundation of our constitutional republic. Tulsi explains why Islamic theology is antithetical to freedom and completely against American values. Tulsi Gabbard is right: Islamism is “the greatest near and long term threat to western civilization.”
I think it would be best, if the Islamists who run Iran were forced to surrender to a woman. We have, for example, General Laura Richardson, Commander of the U.S. Southern Command. She could step in to CENTCOM, win the war, and accept surrender from the murderers and thugs who have spread terror far and wide. Let a woman set the women of Iran free, free to claim their basic human rights, rights denied them by such Islamists.
Richardson is retired.
She can be recalled as can all members of the military.

I am going against the wisdom. I would like to see her promoted to full Col. and transferred from reserve status to active duty. If at all possible put her on a fast track to further promotions. We could use her in the War Department full time.

Tulsi nailed it! On both surveillance and Islam and a few other things as well. Sounded quite presidential. Tulsi has eyes to see and ears to hear unlike others in the political arena on the Right side. And, she’s not afraid to speak truth.
