Immediately after President Trump announced a strategic energy supply deal with Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin, Ukraine President Zelenskyy ordered drone strikes against the Russian oil/fuel export terminal NZNP.
The targeted terminal is located in the Zheleznodorozhny district of Rostov-on-Don, and it is used to transship petroleum products including diesel fuel for exports toward the west. {SOURCE, Ukraine Today}
The intention of Zelenskyy’s targeting is obvious to anyone who has followed the conflict between Russia-Ukraine and the involvement of EU-NATO countries in keeping maximum conflict at the forefront. They do not want a strategic agreement between Putin and Trump.
Hours before the Ukraine targeting of the NZNP export terminal, President Trump announced a strategic agreement with President Putin for refined diesel exports over the next six months. This Trump-Putin agreement was against the interests of Zelenskyy and specifically against the interests of his benefactors in London, because Putin and Trump are working outside the “western market pricing system”.

You cannot just set prices. The system as manipulated as it is will not allow it. The deals will be made off to the side and the “speculators will find the weakness and destroy the foolish position”. You cannot drive the price of oil up if there is a glut. If the price of oil is set to 125/bbl and there is not a shortage, everyone and their brother will begin pumping. Setting prices arbitrarily without the control of supply or demand is a fool’s errand. Speculators thrive on the imbalance.
So the EU wants war to reduce its population, remove Russia as a source of oil. The high price of oil will help the Green Agenda.
How about just blaming the root cause of the problem. The Governments of the EU want 15 minute cities with fewer people, a lot fewer people. The Democrat/Communists and the UniParty side of the Republican Party are in alignment with the EU.

while I agree, I am also convinced that the new green deal was pushed and resolved by big oil market makers who see the opportunity to do things that a normal market condition just could not furnish.
a. private venture access to projects for solar, wind and “clean” energy that are highly profitable and equally dubious. Regulators taking a hands off approach and next to none financial services regulators looking at off shore and venture capitol schemes. (the people could not make meaningful investments in any of these projects.
b. the “squeeze” directed at “dirty energy” allows the oil and gas industry to assume higher costs (mostly imaginary or self imposed to avoid paying carbon offsets), and then pass these along to consumers. Delimiting production creates lack of supply, drives up price. In this way, less work involved, produces less (or less than anything close to capacity) yields higher profit margins.
c. the volatility is attractive to futures markets and other derivatives markets that may likely be guiding large market makers with pricing…basically a racket.one hands feeds the other.
I absolutely agree this mid term election is very important. I am just not convinced that vote will have much of an impact or change the course of where energy prices are likely to go. Even with President Trumps’ best effort and good intentions, we are seeing inflationary conditions almost all of which are directly tied to energy costs out of control.
also noting: it’s very likely the fed will move interest rates up this month up another 1/4 percent. You’ll notice President Trump hasn’t been very vocal about his new man at the fed reserve doing that. Not accusing President Trump of being flip floppy, but rather there are economic conditions that are unfortunately well out of the power of the white house to control. He can use his bully pulpit and he has done, but the results are unlikely to change how global energy market makers operate.
