As we’ve been saying for seven months, keep watching how the globalists respond to Mexico. AMLO doesn’t want to join the economic suicide pact known as Build Back Better, or the North American version “Green New Deal.” This puts him in a precarious place.
This sentence from a recent financial analysis article in Reuters is telling, “concerns about a U.S. recession and a trade spat Mexico is embroiled in with the United States and Canada over Lopez Obrador’s energy policy, which critics call nationalist, muddy the outlook for the peso.” A “nationalist energy policy”?
What exactly is a “nationalist energy policy,” and why would international financial people be having fits about it?
In the past year the Mexican peso has outperformed the U.S. dollar, in part because Mexico is not following the economic roadmap, a World Economic Forum inspired united inflationary malaise as an outcome of unified energy policy. [Side Note: The Brazilian currency was also outperforming the western bloc and dollar; but that situation has been rectified now, Bolsonaro removed, and the central bank will start contracting the economy.]
The global financial control mechanisms now start to look at the Mexican non-compliance:
(Reuters) – Mexico’s peso, which is ending 2022 with one of its strongest performances in a decade, could have its gains wiped out in 2023 after an expected end to the Bank of Mexico’s rate hikes cycle and a possible recession in top trade partner the United States.
The peso last month clawed its way back to pre-pandemic levels and has appreciated over 5% versus the U.S. dollar in 2022, making it one of the best-performing global currencies alongside Brazil’s real.
But the peso’s impressive run may be ending as markets expect the large capital flows to Mexico in recent months, attracted by the Bank of Mexico’s restrictive monetary policy stance, could soon start to slow.
[…] Banxico, as the central bank is known, has been increasing its benchmark interest rate since June 2021 to stem inflation, and hiked it to a record 10.5% at its last policy meeting.
In the coming months, Banxico is expected to end its rate hiking cycle and likely decouple from the U.S. Federal Reserve, which is seen continuing to increase rates. That would narrow the rate differential and could spark an outflow of capital.
Concerns about a U.S. recession and a trade spat Mexico is embroiled in with the United States and Canada over Lopez Obrador’s energy policy, which critics call nationalist, muddy the outlook for the peso.
“The perception of risk could rise due to the consultations in the framework of the USMCA (trade deal), which could lead to the imposition of measures against Mexico,” said Banco Base.
Traders at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, considered a bellwether of market sentiment, have started to bet the peso will begin depreciating. (read more)
There is no upper limit to the amount of pressure the Western Alliance will put upon Mexico.
The U.S. has bigger problems than Mexico
I am very surprised that Congress is allowing one of it’s agencies to report on this
In late May, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) projected that annual net interest costs would total $399 billion in 2022 and nearly triple over the upcoming decade, soaring from $442 billion to $1.2 trillion and summing to $8.1 trillion over that period.
https://www.pgpf.org/analysis/2022/12/higher-interest-rates-will-raise-interest-costs-on-the-national-debt#:~:text=The%20Fed's%20move%20will%20set,the%20onset%20of%20the%20pandemic.
All that will be taken care of when the Treasury changes USD to digital. The Fed will govern the amount of dollars it will take to equal one digital dollar. So, you have $1000 in the bank. The Treasury says that $1000 USD is equal to $300 digital dollars and the remainder goes to the government to pay the interest on the debt while the Democrats keep on spending money.
Ouch.
The Treasury says that $1000 USD is equal to $300 digital dollars…
If they do that, there will be unceasing gunfire.
Hopefully
One would only hope that happens
Which is why that will never happen. It will continue as it has been gradually or kind of gradually depending on your perspective. Digital or not doesn’t matter to inflation. It always benefits the borrower who pays back the debt with dollars worth less then when they were borrowed. Who is the biggest borrower? Who benefits? Uncle Sam. When the people cannot be stopped from spending money they do not have, reality has to find an outlet. The government is stuck printing more to pay with and creating a spiral effect like a loop in computer code that results in a big error message. The people are left wondering why they didn’t get the magical result they voted for. In the past, people stuck in countries like this could flee to the United States.
As sync pointed out originally, rising interest rates are very bad for Uncle Sam’s cash flow since they push up interest payments as a percentage of spending. This is why the Fed is stuck with an unrealistic upper limit for rates since it would bankrupt the country. They hope this short burst of higher rates will dampen the economy enough since they have no follow through available. Much of the inflation is beyond poor fiscal policy which only accounts for a relatively small portion of it currently while the major driver is energy policy and pandemic lockdown pandemonium foolishness. But, as Stalin is alleged to have said, you have to break the eggs to make the omelet. Build Back Better and climate change are designed to break as many as possible. What can a central bank do in the face of such foolishness and make believe? What can anyone do except try to reverse it, cure the madness, teach the people. A stiffnecked and increasingly hardened people.
“Scenes are now to take place as will open the eyes of credulity and of insanity itself, to the dangers of a paper medium abandoned to the discretion of avarice and of swindlers.”
–Thomas Jefferson to Thomas Cooper, 1814
The idea is to bankrupt the country, that’s why they keep spending these trillion dollar bills.
The Rothschilds created the central bank concept to engulf nations in prodigious debt leading to their economic collapse. Then the plutocrats will gave total control. Anarchy will ensue justifying total government control over the populations of the wwirld
The race is ON! Can Powell pull the US$ out of the ditch before congress spends the US$ into oblivion and out of world reserve currency orbit.
“Unceasing gunfire”
I feel the same anger, but there won’t be any gunfire. People are basically idiots, circling their individual fishbowl lives. They might read the news here and there, but as long as it doesn’t directly shake up their personal fishbowl, then it isn’t worth any substantial reaction. That’s how the western world is failing, bit by bit. Greedy communist parasites have learned that they have to move oh-so-slowly in order to avoid too much disruption of the idiots’ lives. This one single idea is infuriating, but is it enough to take up arms? What about the omnibus spending bill? That’s your money they’re frittering away. But is it worth taking up arms? What about politicians taking a knee against white people, against the police? What about their exalting of barbaric ghetto blacks? It might make you mad, but is any of it worth taking up arms?
Each thing on its own isn’t really worth such rage. But all together, bit by bit, the parasites are tearing down the world built by the productive and enslaving those producers. Move slowly enough and they’ll never take up arms against you.
They think they’re free…
“This separation of government from people, this widening of the gap, took place so gradually and so insensibly, each step disguised (perhaps not even intentionally) as a temporary emergency measure or associated with true patriotic allegiance or with real social purposes.
“And all the crises and reforms (real reforms, too) so occupied the people that they did not see the slow motion underneath, of the whole process of government growing remoter and remoter” -Milton Mayer
They Thought They Were Free

Oh, people are feeling it in their billfolds these days. We all know congress is a bunch of thieves sending money to the thief country of Ukraine. People are curtailing their expenditures for everything. Layoffs have commenced. There are some ideological idiots, but they are not the majority, and many of them are receiving an education in national finance as Biden destroys the country.
We really have N O otther choix
sure you do. Soon, you won’t
“The evils of this deluge of paper money are not to be removed until our citizens are generally and radically instructed in their cause and consequences, and silence by their authority the interested clamors and sophistry of speculating, shaving, and banking institutions.
“Till then, we must be content to return quoad hoc to the savage state, to recur to barter in the exchange of our property for want of a stable common measure of value, that now in use being less fixed than the beads and wampum of the Indian, and to deliver up our citizens, their property and their labor, passive victims to the swindling tricks of bankers and mountebankers.”
–Thomas Jefferson to John Adams, 1819
Sure.
Should be.
I don’t know, more than half the population doesn’t have even $1,000 dollars in the bank and are just living hand to mouth.
Most of the rest of them are on the receiving end of the dole.
Plus you can fully expect more of a progressive haircut with those with less than say $10,000 getting 1 to 1 and those with over a million getting less than half, if that.
In short, I wouldn’t put/keep any more wealth inside the ‘system’ than you can afford/want to lose.
Plus you can fully expect that whatever debts you owe will still be owed 1 to 1 with the new dollar.
If you have excess wealth get out of debt first, become as self-sufficient as possible, forward buy near-term but storable consumables, then put the rest in physical gold and silver leaving very little IOUs in the system.
It’s also nice to have an income-producing asset that you own free and clear.
I do not believe so.
Communists do not care about debt: I believe they will not bother with any scheme to pay off the debt or to pay the interest on it.
They will spend and spend and ignore any debt. It has “worked” for them so far, although not for us, and not for America.
Export the inflation.
VUSA…accepted at debt bubbles worldwide.
During the depression, my grandfather’s bank emptied his accounts, telling him they had no money. He’d just been paid and sold a car, so almost all of his money was in his bank accounts. It disappeared overnight. He went to the bank and asked them how he was to pay his mortgage payment now that they’d taken all his money. They responded by taking his house from him. As bizarre as it seems, that’s exactly what happened to him. He never trusted a bank again. His bank became his freezer, where he kept his “hard cold cash.” I’m beginning to understand how he must have felt. This is scary, yet this train keeps rolling down these tracks, and no one seems to be seriously trying to stop it. Even scarier. Where is our leadership? MIA, it seems.
That’s precisely why people during the depression burried their money in the ground instead of putting it in the bank.
A Double Eagle from 1933 is 1oz. of Gold.
It cost $26(rough) to purchase in 1933.
It has a face value of $20.
If you purchased anything for $26 in 1933, what would that item cost today?
$640(rough) usinflationcalculator.com
If you put 26 Federal Reserve Notes with a face value of $1 in a shoe box, buried it in 1933 and opened it in 2022, they would have the purchasing power of $26.
“Paper is poverty… it is only the ghost of money, and not money itself.”
–Thomas Jefferson to Edward Carrington, 1788.
A 1 oz gold coin is also worth in dollars 2x the ‘official’ inflation rate as well.
In reality, the gold coin still has a similar purchasing power as it did in 1933, the government is just lying about inflation from that point to now.
That’s what my grandfather did too. When he died in the 1970’s his 3 sons were still digging around on the farm trying to be sure they hadn’t missed any of his hidden money.
See the “Bail-Ins” from Greece. “Grexit”
You’ll find the global governance welfare queen SHillaring there too.
Mine’s in Cappuccino tubs in the pantry.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
That’ll be when the shooting starts.
Why go to all that trouble when they can just print the money they need to pay the debt
To do that they would have to close all the banks first or at least stop all withdrawals. Just like they did in Lebanon.
What are they going to do to people with stocks though?
So where are people going to the currency in a locked-up banking system to buy the Stocks?
Even if the exchange happens, how do you get your currency out of the banking system?
I think people are in for a rude awakening on what is and is not wealth.
People look at Crypto as a Ponzi scheme but the whole global financial system is one. It’s all electronic IOUs in one form or another with layers and layers of counterparty risk.
Possession is 9/10ths of the law.
Close– but they won’t go that way. The collective (economic) suicide pact is what Mexico isn’t following. The pact is necessary as the fiat scam is collapsing now that the dollar is no longer being solely used for oil.
The “digital” (blockchain) revolution isn’t ALL bad. They know that nations cannot trust one another– so they will be returning to gold backed digital currencies (it’s why banks all over the world have been stockpiling record amounts of it over the last 18 months). These digital currencies cannot be inflated (out of thin air) as it will be visible on the ledger.
What’s scary is what can be done with the digital currency (i.e. preventing you from buying that which they wish to ration– energy, meat, etc)– or even making it EXPIRE (as done in China’s pilot).
I think they know with the second amendment (and people’s ability to barter) they can’t get away with that in the US, so it will be a “progressive” charge to impose those limits later.
The good news is the digital “dollar” you hold will much likely be much more stable. The bad aspects are they will eventually track where you spend every cent, and then impose limits as time moves along.
Get out of the stock market now. Get into gold & silver why you can afford it. Ammo up and be ready.
I don’t believe, since 90 percent of the reason wecan’t trust election results, is because of machines instead of paper, that them TELLING us wecan trust digital currencies, and that they are “backed” bu gold, will reassure anybody.
The paper dollar was “backed” by gold at one point, too. And then it wasn’t.
Just like you need to trust who counts the votes, you need to”trust the Government” in order to trust the currency, whether its digital, paper or paper clips.
And, they have destroyed the basic trust between the Government and the people.
Prescious metals are ONLY practical for carrying you wealth THRU hard tomes, and to the other side.
They are ‘worthless’ DURING the hard times, unless you want to buy a can of Spam (to keep from starving) with your krugerand.
AMMO, on the other hand makes a near perfect alternative currency; its divisible and comes in different denomimations, its impractical to counterfeit, and theres a BOATLOAD of it ‘in circulation’, which you need in order for it to be practical, as an alternative currency.
If the Government bans gold sales for anyone apart from ‘authorised traders’ (TPTB) at the same time as implementing a digital currency how does one realise its value?
Gold is indeed, as you say, only of value after the hard times.
They could do that and in fact, FDR effectively did that in USA. Interestingly enough, the reason we have ‘collector’ coins from that period is because people that held their gold ‘outside’ the bank system weren’t stupid. Those gold coins are now worth 2x the official inflation rate ‘before’ capital gains tax, which brings up the next point.
Gold can’t act as an alternative money to the current dollar or even the future all-digital dollar because of capital gains tax.
The true value of gold will only happen if the global trading system becomes multi-polar and requires a mechanism to price the relative value of goods and services and to clear trade balances. A global trade system that ran from before 1000 BC to WW1.
If we simply replace the existing centrally controlled Kleptocratic global monetary system with a new one, gold will remain how it is now.
Gold is always valuable as bribes.
Was picking up seeds and bins for container gardening at Tractor Supply store. Another customer inquired about all the bins. Can’t use my yard-plumbed and sprinkled with reclaimed water so I plant my vegetables and herbs in containers for which I can use potable water. “Beans, bullets and bandaids to barter” was his comment.
Storage go boom. Ukraine has plenty of ammo and paper money. See Lvov.
There’s two rumors on the internet.
Americans flew out Ukraine’s gold in 2014(Russian Disinformation) and Russians are robbing gold from Ukraine’s museums(NATO propaganda).
If you have biological ammo, yellow cake ammo, peaceful protest ammo, law enforcement ammo, military ammo, intelligence ammo…you can make a lot of money buying and selling ammo without caring about the medium.
Pentagon has never failed to buy ammo, but they’ve failed every audit.
Ammo is already a medium of exchange at world pawn shops. It’s purchased, laundered into money, and re-invested to purchase more alternative currency. /s

From here to there; This is exactly the situation I have been pondering for some time now. I believe the only way to maintain any generational wealth will be in the ‘holding’ of precious metals.
The issue then becomes how to hold these ‘metals’ and keep them safe from the government confiscation al powers and the thieves. I am open to a functional plan…
The major issue though is that which you bring up. How to maintain those ‘metals’ across the generation (s) it will take for a new and stable system to absolve. None building those metal reserves today is likely to be able to maintain control during the interim. Old age, accidents, pressures to use for silly convenience, and finding trustworthy stewards will be the issue.
And maybe land. Though they will try to take it via some new law, taxation.
But there is value in tangibles. You also can grow your own food (quietly). Land with a spring ideal.
Decades ago the feds banned owning gold
Each family will find a way.
Yes, the social contract is broken, this Omnibus Porkulus bill proved it. Congress will do nothing to protect its citizens and everything to protect Ukraine (political kickbacks, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin and Boeing profits).
Gold coins are insurance in case the US$ loses reserve currency status (in progress but Powell is slowing said progression). Silver is good for barter and trade as are bullets and canned goods. We will have to re-establish trading relationships among ourselves during this transition.
Expect chaos in 2023, more busted supply chains, more busted bitcoin exchanges, more scarcity of needed things, higher prices, massive layoffs, corporate bankruptcies. It is a process. It is dangerous out there. Go gray before you throw salt and go galt.
Not gold-backed but a global gold exchange standard.
The price of a nation’s currency in ‘physical’ gold sets the price in terms of gold for say ‘physical’ wheat vs ‘physical’ oil.
‘Physical’ Gold becomes the reference point for all other things of value, including local currency BTW.
Nations with a minor trade deficit will then periodically ship physical gold to clear that trading account.
The price of the deficit nation’s goods and services will become cheaper in gold terms with the trade surplus nations becoming more expensive, eventually reversing the trade flow.
This is how the global financial system worked from before 1000 BC to WW1.
Not enough physical gold? There is at the right price relative to currency. But even more, you don’t need a lot physical gold if all nations are exchanging real value (Food) for real value (Oil) and only running minor trade deficits or surpluses.
IIRC, its happended before.
“All your stuff, beling to US, but all our debt, belong to YOU.”
Debt deflation first. Currency devaluation second. Part of the reason for so little opposition to the massively inflationary Omnibus was exactly what you say. They are going to devalue the currency and they all know it.
They are laundering the money while it still holds value in order to buy hard assets.
Inflation IS devaluing the currency incrementally. It has been happening my entire life, but the last two years it has picked up some serious speed.
it’s mighty white of them to allow you to keep $300 however, I don’t think they will. I think they’ll do like they did in Greece just come take it all.
They still allowed you to retain some. Friend of ours Family was from Greece (gone now) but her family inherited land there. They quietly laundered through a lawyer here when they sold it. Never found out the details.Wish I had.
Now now, is not spending its investing.
Nope!! No way Jose!!
The GOPe will pile on for good measure….:)
My question is how do we stop it?! We know this leads to tyranny.
Lets be fair, it isn’t just the DemocRats who are fueling the spendathon. Mitch and Co. are all in for it too! No one in DC has any spending restraint at all.
That’s robbery or theft, take your pick. We have a legal right to resist and defend against criminal acts against us. Any Democrat is responsible, so the crooks will be obvious. Lock and load.
Our government is a bunch of fools and no-one is dumb enough to listen to them anymore (except for Zelenskyy).
What do you mean? Our Government does all of the genuflecting whenever Zelenskyy shows up. That sob walks away with billions every time he talks to our President. Of course, Biden will never say no to Zelenskyy because Zelenskyy has him blackmailed. And our media just sits back and cheers for Zelenskyy. Imagine all of that, and then think about how much money China has put in Biden’s pockets. The part about a bunch of fools is correct, but then when have Bureaucrats ever been anything else?

Greenspan was right. A country whose debt is denominated in currency that it prints cannot default (unless it chooses to)
In unrelated news, egg prices just hit a new all time high
My kid just came in and asked me for $1500. When I asked why he said he ‘was going to egg his friends houses’. I said ‘there must be a lot of houses’ and he just tilted his head and smirked at me, ‘Dad, get real. There are only two houses to egg’. He didn’t get the money.
“bigger problems”
At his uniparty human rights conference a month ago, Dubya said the American people will tighten their belts to help people around the world seeking freedom and democracy, if it wasn’t for nationalists, isolationists, nativists…no surprises with the uniparty.
“I’m an Arab spring guy.” – George W. Bush, Nov. 16, 2022, Dallas
He was not thinking about that wood and steel implement which the French made famous. Was not so long ago in Wild West Days when guys like him were hung in the public square.
to completely transform the United States and the rest of the world for that matter all the currencies have to be broken. our country in particular has to be bankrupted.
Phase 6 exposure to the “derivatives” that The FED and Wall St have been foisting on the rest of the WORLD is coming to an end. If you think our $31 Trillion in DEBT is bad, wait until the $2 QUADRILLION in “derivatives” Wall St has foisted upon the rest of the world comes due……….Wall St has been STEALING from the entire world and the GRIFT is up! The first estimate by the BIS ( Bureau International Settlement ) after just 3 months of new MARGIN requirements is near $80 TRILLION, every 3 months new contracts are being rolled over with a 3rd party now in place to VERIFY margin accounts….No more FREE rides for Wall St on the backs of the rest of the world…….NO BAIL OUT this time…..Gonna crash hard!
We paid off the banks in 2008 to avoid this and you are saying, it is back and magnitudes worse. Yep, human nature at its finest.
I wish we could have a nationalist energy policy.
I’m old enough to remember when we did …..2 yrs ago.
Me, too. I thought it was a very good thing.
We did, about 3 years ago…
“A Nationalist energy policy” or any “Nationalist policy” is based on ‘enlightened self interest’ of a Nation,…aka “Common Sense”.
As opposed to Global policies, NONE of which make ANY sense.
JMO and from snippets at Trump rallies…..Trumps plan for the US economy ….Get manufacturing back, energy independent, totally self reliant, trade tariffs, grow the economy., restructure our debt, possibly go back to gold backed dollar. He was also, as Sundance said, creating an alternate banking system for Main Street. Get rid of the FED.
Clearly, the globalists will try to sell their CBDC, but it will fail. They will try to sell another covid panic and lockdown, but that isn’t happening either. They had a little trouble passing the omnibus Ukraine money laundering. I do not think they can do that again without incurring guerrilla revolt.
Oh, they make sense when you correctly identify the globalists’ goals. I realize it is difficult when up is down, good is bad, etc. Just go with opposite language.
Mexicans, and I know a lot of them as a native El-Alien, do not take being pushed around lightly.
PDJT got his way by showing them the benefits of a secured border and by replacing NAFTA with USMCA with huge benefits to the Mexican economy. He did the southern neighbor a solid favor – not threats and sanctions like the current PoS.
Its the difference between adults negotiating a win-win and a child breaking his toys when mommy tells him its time for bed.
P. Trump was a master of carrot and stick.
TARIFFS not a threat———–but a promise!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Two bits, four bits, six bits, a peso
All for Mexico, stand up and say so!
Maybe if Mexico gets their act together, we can hop across their border and demand accommodations.
This is what I’ve been thinking. Life on the gulf coast could be pretty good. And you’re now allowed to purchase real estate in a lease arrangement.
It is..
Not like it use to be ….by a long shot. Been right on the Gulf for 50+ years and the ecosystem that was there has almost been totally destroyed by tourism and development. Gone are the small sea creatures on the coast, breeding grounds of the touts, flounders, shrimp, red fish, and many other creatures of the waters right off the Gulf. Seagulls eat out of the landfill for lack of natural food. Personally I am looking to sell , buy rentals and acreage north. Gone will be the days of big condo rental income with ever increasing maintenance fees, lack of average income occupants, increasing man made hurricanes and greedy city tax increases. Good luck though.
Gulf coast gets hurricanes on a pretty regular basis, prefer the Pacific side myself.
Oh, they’ll accommodate you alright. A nice damp adobe cell about five (5) feet deep, seven (7) feet high and six (6) feet wide. You’ll sleep on a luxurious plywood platform complete with a well-worn, one (1) inch thick mattress complete with stains of varying sizes, bed bugs fleas and mites. You’ll enjoy the famous Montezuma’s sparkling brown well water and dine on moldy corn bread, tortillas and pinto beans.
You’re ignorant. I’ve been going to Mexico since 1991. Always had great, and reasonable cost, accommodations, good food, and no problem with the water, which is provided by good desalination systems. Not in the big cities either. Grow a brain.
Maybe “Parker” was referencing Chicago or Los Angeles. Last time I was in LA, I drank two cups of water and was sick as a dog for a week. Try running a semi while puking out the window!
I think Parker was describing your luxurious accommodations in a Mexican prison cell if you “hopped” across their border and demanded “accommodations”.
Ding, ding, ding!
Pretty sure Parker was referring to THEIR strick immigration laws and justice system as opposed to ours.
They’ll put you in jail/prison and I’m sure the conditions there are as described. But maybe you’ve spend time in Mexican incarceration and know firsthand how great the water and food is?
You have ZERO sense of humor so you didn’t get it. Lighten up, El Danno
There’s a reason Knotts Berry Farm named their roller coaster that went upside down, Montezuma’s revenge.
Here’s a nickel… get informed on Mexican immigration law. You’re hardly describing Mexican border hopping. Talk about ignorant… yes, you truly are.
One needs at a minimum $ 3000 USD a month attain permanent residency in Mexico plus a clean background check. A good thing.
Carlos Slim is good at remittances.
Americans aren’t that familiar with Slimlandia.
https://www.investopedia.com/terms/r/remittance.asp
Exactly. I’ve been going to Mexico since 1967. A lot of progress has been made! Remember! There are 30 million Mexicans in America….most likely millions more! Troops on both sides! Make one go Hmmmmm?
Yes, but the important thing is that it will be anti-globalistic nice damp adobe cell. Huge difference between this and just nice damp adobe cell.
So, basically I’ll be a bachelor again 🤣
Obviously you’ve never been to Mexico, unless you broke some Mexican laws.
Actually, I have. When I was stationed in SanDiego in 1973, I had many occasion to visit Tijuana for a few rounds with my shipmates.
What I have never done is, illegally, “hop the border.”
I can assure all of those who wish to tell me otherwise, or accuse me of ignorance are the truly ignorant ones.
Tijuana doesn’t count as ” been to Mexico ” in my book.
That doesn’t surprise me. When a false accusation is levied against someone you choose to go against; when the accusation is proven false you just pretend it never happened. Typical…
Reminds me of those who predicted no more snow due to global warming.
It does if you have dos dollars or need a prescription filled or 999 silver or is it .999 sterling.
Nearly every Mexican I’ve known has been a very decent, good person.
That said, corruption is a major issue in the gov./police/cartel bought officials. It’s Cartel $ and American $, very often working together.
You really think it would be all that hard to stop fentanyl smuggling? Too much $ to make on both sides for that to happen.
I lived in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico from 71-74. Yes, corruption/bribery is ubiquitous. I found it much more fair than here. Here only the upper classes get to participate in the bribery and corruption.
🤣
You were there in the golden years. Went camping w/hubby in our VW buss, there were KOAs everywhere.
There is no such thing as corrupt politicians without the populace also being corrupt. Can’t happen.
O
Oh our “government” are quite aware of cartel$
Yep, a reverse border invasion. Let’s all move south and regentrify their country. Remodel it and bring Trump in as our new Presidente!
Donaldo Trumpo!
epic
Oh No You don’t!!!.
In my mind Mexico President is a coward and possibly declaring war against the US People by turning a blind eye and possibly profiting from , illegals immigration , and drugs moving across the border. Notice I said war against the US People not Govt. We don’t have a Govt. I will not say we don’t have a country even if it is borderless right now. We fought for the right to exist, paid a great deal of taxes to support our existence. This is our country, our land, our natural resources, and our right to self governance. We do not give our consent to this govt. that has been captured by thieves and murderers.
2020 was a coup d’etat. The elected government was overthrown.
The people who own the United States are 1000% into the climate change hoax!
you ofc mean the people who “claim” to own the US….the CITIZENS own the the US and if they ever take back the hostile possession they can send the foreign banks in the FED packing
Should have sent the FED packing in 1914…..
Yes,because they are using climate change as a means of confiscating wealth, wealth exchange not climate change is the bottom line.
Maybe in California. Because they are lazy and stupid. The productive ones are leaving in droves and coming to places where they can thrive, like here in Texas. I was California born and raised and remember when the great Ronaldus Maxus was governor. It was one of the top states in the country for education, economy, and just about everything else. Now? It’s a nice place to visit (especially my old fishing holes in the Sierras) but I’m not stupid enough to live there with the one party politics, stupidly high taxes, high crime rates, flooded with illegals and losers looking for handouts (and getting them), and sh*t on the city streets. Of course, I’m one of the productive ones who took my smarts and hard work elsewhere.
Dan is right. I lived there from 1970 to 1979.
Had the same experience. I would not go back now.
Those were the golden years … But there are still safe, lovely places there.
1972 to 1994. Will never move back. Last visited relatives in 2012. Accident injury in 2016 means no sitting upright for 8 hours in plane or car.
Be patient. Pretty soon, you’ll have those one-party politics everywhere you go in Amerika.
LOL. You have ventured from your house, right? Texas is everything CA is in most of the state.
And they set up a proxy war with Russia, didn’t they? So, at least Russia is 100% against climate change hoax. That’s some comfort.
Which is ONLY one of the reasons why they hate Russia and Putin!
China is next they just don’t know it.
Only because they are making a fortune off the simpletons who actually believe it’s a real thing.
A sign of how far the U.S. has fallen when Mexico has to be the Adult in the room
Why would Mexico intentionally commit national suicide like the US and Canada? China will always buy their excess oil and gladly pay top pesos for rent
Was the US ever the adult, or just the bully?
Idea – could AMLO become closer to Russia?
Really Wild idea… could he shift to the ruble?
No. Mexico will always be the peso.
No, he will go BRICS
I sure hope so. It would be a thorn in the US govt’s side to have Mexico thriving, the people driving their gas powered cars, using all the decently priced electricity they want, right there on our border for all of us to see.
My first thought too!
Pushing Mexico right into BRICS.
Exactly. Currencies are unstable obsolete, it is time to move to something more serious – digital BRICS ruble – yuan. (China launched the digital yuan, Russia launched the digital ruble in April 2023; but it could be sooner, there new and innovative laws are being written, imported and adopted accelerated every day since the start of the war.)
But let’s face it, even the CDBC is obsolete. Technology is evolving and progress never stops. Enough fear and retreat from the future!
In 2021, the largest telecom operator in Mexico, Grupo Megacable efforts to prevent the pandemic and from October 28 to November 16, distributed a mobile phone branded ZTE to subscribers and new customers who were vaccinated and contract Megamovil, Megacable’s cell phone service.
https :// www .milenio .com/negocios/megacable-regala-celulares-zte-vacunados-covid-19
In the jokey video, you can see how the vaccination status was proven.
So, we must all come together to stabilize the currency system and build a more secure and sustainable future for us and our children. There is technology, we just need to apply it!:)
//And most importantly, China has the technology and is boldly going there, and so does Russia. So Mexico has nothing to worry about:
Boldly to the human-loving multipolar BRICS!
There’ll be gas, there’ll be chip(s).
But look and image how much a Vladimir Vladimirovich sombrero it would suit him.
The peso-ruble negotiations can begin.
He’s collecting mushrooms? (in his left hand). Maybe THAT explains how his mind works!
According to unconfirmed rumors, Carlos Castaneda was his mushroom picking teacher.
Mexico should start selling their oil in Yuans like Saudi Arabia and exchange it for gold like the adults of the world are doing on the Chinese gold exchange. World is de-dollarizing because the US government chose to make it into a sanctions weapon for one. What is the appeal of using a reserve currency that can be turned off for whatever reason?
(Same reason why you dont want a CBDC in your wallet that can be turned off)
Watch the inflation the ongoing de-dollarization is going to bring home to the US in medium range future, it will make the inflation so far look like peanuts.
Bet you won’t be hearing that in the MSM news soon.
Personally I used to think the US to be a force of good in the world but lately they are doing more and more to give impression of being the prominent World Bully #1. Not a good look.
“(Same reason why you dont want a CBDC in your wallet that can be turned off)”
__
So, in order to avoid the risk of widespread popular non-acceptance, the CBDCs will not be voluntarily introduced.
AMLO’s term would end quickly if he did that.
I know, they might take Arizona, Texas and a large part of California from Mexico.
Oh wait that already happened 😀 I jest.
He only has 2 more years.
And the way we have used/abused our reserve currency status to hurt other developing countries is really despicable.
I still remember the huge Russian war ships docked in Veracruz, Mexico in 1981 as I left the port to sail back to Corpus Christie, Texas after the festivities for the Galveston to Veracruz sailboat race. This was before the Berlin Wall came down, before the USSR split up. Very unsettling to see the “enemy” that close. Since I grew up in the Tidewater, Virginia area, I was accustomed to seeing large US ships at the Newport News Shipyard, in Chesapeake Bay coming from US Navy base in Norfolk, VA. Since 1952 NATO has had a presence in Norfolk. Changing from Allied Command to Joint Command, now I wonder whether its presence was just all part of the globalists’ one world plan.
Considering Russia’s recent massive efforts to destroy US biolabs in Ukraine, today I am not as concerned about Russia’s presence as I am about the Deep State (US senior executives and upper level command in federal agencies) machinations to force the US to adhere to the World Economic Forum (and its member states and global corporations) demands. The BRICS nations have gold backed currency while the US has worthless paper…..We are in for a rough ride.
Dear Mexico,
We can save your peso and then some. We give you very good rent for nice areas good for naval bases. Hope to hear from you soon!
Your protector, the People’s Republic of China
PS, the Russian Federation says they are in too for our coming Three Way Alliance against our mutual enemy, the evil blood sucking Gringos!
When there’s better paying jobs and living conditions for families in Mexico, the swimming across the Rio Grande will change direction.
Tom Clancy’s general idea about the border decades ago.
All leaders who love their countries should tell biden to go to hell with his transgender agenda driven suicidal madness. What’s not destroyed here already will support that like we do 45/46, our true leader.
Let the inescapable Retribution come sooner than later.
If the border invasion was happening organically you’d have a point. But it’s not. It’s all organized, funded, and orchestrated.
I have 5 points . What you’re referring to is the business end , that wouldn’t exist with the reversal of fortunes. It also wouldn’t exist if the government had ever done one of the actual few jobs it has and enforced the damn border.
That predates this child sexual mutilation obsessed
group of psychotics doing the opposite.
….
I don’t believe that energy policy is addressed in USMCA, if I remember correctly. So how can they lodge a complaint under the USMCA. if there was no agreement about it?
Just as they do with everything else: Make it up as they go along.
It is so obvious at this point that climate change/green new deal/electrification is the next means for them to tighten the screws on the peasant class. It accomplishes so many of the globalist pursuits. I’ll support any country that stands up to the globalist agenda to destroy energy independence, reliability and more importantly take away more of our rights and keep us poor. Those countries will be the beacons of light for freedom.
Solar electric panels have a 2-year payback in most of MX, and the prices are very reasonable…And solar hot water systems are marvelous.
“The peso last month clawed its way back to pre-pandemic levels and has appreciated over 5% versus the U.S. dollar in 2022, making it one of the best-performing global currencies alongside Brazil’s real.”
Hasn’t the Russian Ruble been preforming pretty well too?
BRICS
What would a Mexican visit from Xi do to the Bidenistas? A joint visit from Xi and Putin?
obiden is Xi’s sock puppet. He’ll do as he’s told just like every other person in government on china’s payroll
Watching the U.S. ( and Canada too) slowly crumble in slow motion is quite remarkable event to be a part of.
A Canadian of Sikh origin is a good friend of mine. His principle farm and home is here in Canada.
He also owns farm land in the U.S. that borders his Canadian land.
They have farmed the land for over fifty years.
Each year a large group of Mexicans arrive on the Canadian farm ( with work permits.)
They have been coming for many years..the friends dad enquired if they ever thought of emigrating to Canada.
A flat no was the answer…they work hard here, save all their money and put the money into farms they own in Mexico.
As I have stated before several neighbours of ours here in Southern B.C. now own modest places on the Baja…and have for years.
These folks are mobile, savvy and have provided well for their families.
Most divide their time equally between the two places.
Who would have thought that the U.S.A. would be the poster child for election fraud.
Cheers!
Who would have thought that the U.S.A. would be the poster child for election fraud.
Now, if only we’d become the poster child for publicly executing those committing such fraud!
It seems the rest of the world are more attuned to the US corruption than its own citizens
I haven’t heard the term “The Ugly American” for quite some time, but it may well come back to Mexico with a vengeance.
‘Locals f–king hate you. Leave’: Mexicans say American residents are a ‘plague’ 😏
https://wpde.com/news/nation-world/influx-of-americans-angering-mexico-city-residents-locals-f-king-hate-you-leave-gentrification-united-states-immigration-tourism
With respect, that’s BS. I know several digital nomads in Mexico City. They don’t see that king of resentment.
ALMO could also turn back everyone from all other countries at Mexico’s border.
Then privately inform Biden that he gets his cheap labor border crossers again if he backs off his Build Back Better bull.
They’d depose him
Trump 2024
My wife and I, me more, have been pondering Mexico. It’s a bit off the charts but here we are.
We were in the southern Baja just before the Scamdemic.
It was quite something talking to the many Americans and Canadians we ran into.
The fancy hospital was quite something, ( better than anything here in Greater Vancouver B.C.)
We are to the majority of the doctors at that hospital are U.S. trained.
Sure one needs money or insurance but one needs money everywhere.
We attended a beautiful old church I Toto Santos ( spelling ?) and watched an old nun greet locals.
We are not church goers, nor of any faith.
But that little episode was sure pleasing to watch.
Cheers!
It’s one of the very, very few countries that remained sane during the plandemic. And cheap. I used to have a long list of places I might expat to, before the plandemic. They’ve almost all been struck off, but Mexico remains.
So far I’m not convinced it’s a better choice than red state America. But you know what? It’s pretty close now.
The country is run by the cartels. Good luck with that. No pondering here. I will take Texas as a country again before Mexico.
Non-BRICS nations are being forcefully decimated and economically contracted.
The false pretenses of climate change- more broadly ESG – and the real bioweapon system of engineered virus and shots, plus the supporting information warfare, are deployed to these ends.
The question is: WHY?
And WHY only non-BRICS nations?
Asking a rhetorical question for a friend.
(The answer explains all. Hint: “C” in BRICS is the rising hegemon, non-BRICS must be pushed down to make way for the new hegemon.)
Why? That is the easy part.
Without fossil energy human life ends.
Why non Brics? Easy as well they haven’t been taken over.
BTW you can’t spell BRICS without Brazil.
Now look what is happening in all these nations.
“Why non Brics? Easy as well they haven’t been taken over.”
Taken over by whom? Why not?
Keep going, you’re on the right track but you haven’t reached the root yet.
“BTW you can’t spell BRICS without Brazil.”
That’s right. And look at the new boss being installed in Brazil.
Apparently, the one bumped out was on the side of the people. That would not do, under the rising hegemon “C” in BRICS.
Government debt. They have to reset the economy to hide a reset of the debt.
“Government debt. They have to reset the economy to hide a reset of the debt.”
That’s only part of WHY.
Notice how the US government debt and fiat currency devaluation are actually accelerating now?
As the US government does this, it will next impose oppressive tax increases “by necessity”. Further pushing the US economy down, dragging the others down too (outside of BRICS+).
Negative synergies at the global scale, pushing the “western alliance” down over time.
Everything executing at the global scale now serves this:
‘ “C” in BRICS is the rising hegemon, non-BRICS must be pushed down to make way for the new hegemon.’
mexicans understand the power of oil.
They do, BUT…They don’t even educate their own petroleum engineers, they bring them in from the US & Germany. Their 6 existing refineries can’t refine the sour, sedimented MX oil into gasoline or jet fuel…Because they are so poorly maintained.
PEMEX bonds have been downgraded over & over, to junk status.
And more.
Biden and his puppeteers are ignorant enough to not realize that AMLO, as a csnfidate, was a fan of BRICS
Looks like Mexico will have to legalize gay marriage to repent.
Okay, so I can agree with Barack on this one thing: the U.S. really does act like a bully on the world stage. It’s disgusting.
So the anti energy agenda is spreading every where accept China?
Hmmm. If the Peso deflates faster than the Dollar, Mexican illegals who work in America, and send money home, will get more Pesos/Dollar for their families in Mexico.
Most of the ones crossing -that money they send goes to the Cartel that helped them illegally cross.
Only the illegals. If you come here with a legal H2A visa, you can fly in, or drive in with no problem.
Biden is discovering that the American people, in their wisdom, knew beginning in the late 1980s that he was not White House material. Nevertheless, here he is, occupying the White House, as stupid and corrupt as ever, with the added difficulty of incipient dementia. It would be better, obviously, if Trump were still president, but knowing Biden is paranoid and unhappy is something of a consolation prize.

“muddy the outlook for the peso.””
And anyone of the Church of Climate-mongering is providing the mud.
“A dark money group tied to Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss poured tens of millions of dollars into organizations leading major left-wing campaigns…Fund for a Better Future (FBF), which has received a majority of its funding from two nonprofit foundations overseen by Wyss in recent years, pushed large sums of cash last year to groups dedicated to overhauling the Supreme Court, supporting President Biden’s Build Back Better initiative, addressing alleged voter suppression, and advocating for aggressive climate change policies.” ~ MSN
Foreign interference in our elections is A-OK as long as they help Democrats.
Obrador has many options, but the Anglosphere has no quarter as an operating principle. Too bad for the bansksters that Mexico also has the cartels, who can take care of many problems. The cartels like, in my opinion, a strong Mexican nationalist policy, as it keeps the natives from getting restless. Since the deep system is dependent on them, that might weaken the pressure which can be brought to bear.
Mexico being accused of having a nationalist energy policy makes more sense if you think in the context of Hungary being accused of a nationalist policy by the globalist EU bureaucrats.
The yellow is in stagflation collapse.
Fiat money does not equal profits/prosperity, we wait to see if the rest of the world is on board or in collusion with the final solution. If they are not on board, it means they are more afraid of their citizens than the NWO. Brazil and Mexico may be a testing ground to see if the people will revolt. The new/old communist in Brazil announcing firearm confiscation could get ugly.
The yellow is a small fraction of the worlds population?
AMLO did not poison himself.
The big wildcard in all this could be the Mexicans living in the US. What are they going to do while their relatives in Mexico are getting pounded by a weaker peso and inflation? Those Mexicans working and living in the US will have to send more of their dollars to help their relatives in Mexico.
Don’t think for one second the Mexicans living in the US will not be loyal to their mother country Mexico if the crap ever hits the fan.
Mexico is going to have to use every weopon in ITS arsenal, totryto defend itself against the WEF’ers.
IF it declares itself aligned with BRICS+, does THAT afford it any additional protection?
There is no defense or protection against the NWO, globalists with the new industrial powers replacing the disappearing old western industry.
It is fait accompli.
The tide is falling in the “western alliance” as the tide rises in the east and BRICS+, it has passed the tipping point and cannot be stopped.
These things were set in motion over 40 years ago as part of the (then) 50 Year Plan. Now lengthened to more than 50 years but nonetheless executing as planned. (Look it up, you will find the nation’s name.)
Pray for our children.
I love my country, as I’m sure our founders loved England. Yet, they knew when it was time to let go.
So it appears as if Brazil’s military threw in its hat with the communists and the entire continent is now gone. Mexico is the last domino.
The ‘underground’ economy is alive and well. FJB
I’m sure glad that blackmail is a useful way of doing honest trade deals.
Once the knife is stuck in the back you won’t be able to reach it.
Keep your back to the wall and tell these clowns no thanks
Mexico is plowing ahead on energy. One of my kids is working on a major new offshore gas production/liquefaction project. Not the only one Mexico has going. Meanwhile US is dead in water.
I get the WEF wanting control part, but how does crippling the Western world’s economies help? Do they not fear that their intentional destruction make them an enticing, tasty meal for the China dragon? Do they think China will play nice? Do they not know that their billions can be confiscated thru a hostile takeover via a fifty cent bullet?
“To be an enemy of the US can be dangerous, but to be a friend is fatal.” Henry Kissinger.
ROFL not yellow indeed! Viva la Mexico!
U.S. policy is an amalgam of Alinsky and Cloward-Piven.
Now, let me think…who was that U.S. President who wrote that he went to Columbia just to study under Edward Said…..
