The people who distributed, assembled, collected and then submitted all the Democrat ballots in Pennsylvania filled in the bubble for a dead guy. Democrat Anthony “Tony” DeLuca died October 9th but was reelected to his state House seat on November 8th. Go figure.

PENNSYLVANIA – A Pennsylvania state representative who died last month was reelected during the midterm elections, reports say.

Democrat Anthony “Tony” DeLuca died Oct. 9 “after a brief battle with lymphoma, a disease he twice previously beat. He was 85,” the Pennsylvania House Democratic Caucus wrote.  DeLuca was Pennsylvania’s longest-serving state rep, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

As the political discussion centers on the 2022 wins and losses from the midterm election, one thing that stands out in similarity to the 2020 general election is the difference between ballots and votes.  It appears in some states this is the ‘new normal.’

Where votes were the focus, the Biden administration suffered losses.  Where ballots were the focus, the Biden administration won.

Perhaps the two states most reflective of ‘ballots’ being more important than ‘votes’ are Michigan and Pennsylvania.  Despite negative polling and public opinion toward two specific candidates in those states, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman achieved victories.

Whitmer and Fetterman were not campaigning for votes, that is old school. Instead, the machinery behind both candidates focused on the modern path. The Democrat machines in both states focused on ballot collection and ignored the irrelevant votes as cast.

Since the advent of ballot centric focus through mail-in and collection drop-off processes, votes have become increasingly less valuable amid the organizers who wish to control election outcomes.  As a direct and specific result, ballot collection has become the key to Democrat party success.

The effort to attain votes for candidates is less important than the strategy of collecting ballots.

It should be emphasized; these are two distinctly different election systems.

While all attention is on the outcome of the national election, a storm notice for Florida is essential.

The National Hurricane Center is advising Florida east coast residents to prepare for hurricane conditions during the Wednesday overnight hours. [NHC Website]  Tropical Storm Nicole is moving quickly toward the Bahamas and will approach the Florida east coast late Wednesday.   Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has declared a state of emergency to release resources and trigger support mechanisms.

All Florida east coast residents should pay attention to local officials and state emergency management for guidance in advance of Nicole’s arrival.  All storm preparation should be rushed to completion within the next several hours.  Nicole is anticipated to deliver storm impacts far beyond the immediate hurricane zone.

(Nation Hurricane Center) At 1000 AM EST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Nicole was located near latitude 26.5 North, longitude 76.7 West. Nicole is moving toward the west near 12 mph (19 km/h). A turn toward the west-northwest is expected tonight, followed by a turn toward the northwest on Thursday, and north or north-northeast on Friday.

On the forecast track, the center of Nicole will move near or over the Abacos and Grand Bahama in the northwestern Bahamas today and move onshore the east coast of Florida within the hurricane warning area tonight. Nicole’s center is then expected to move across central and northern Florida into southern Georgia Thursday and Thursday night, and then across the Carolinas Friday and Friday night.

Sticking with our traditional election day discussions, this 4:00pm ET thread is specifically focused on what is happening in/around your neighborhood and precinct this election day 2022.  Keep in mind, the West Coast is in lunchtime voting now.

The practical on-the-ground reports from you are generally an excellent gauge for the ‘sense’ of the state and federal election results.

If you are voting on election day today, what are you seeing in your area?  How is turnout?

What is the general sense about the candidates in the local and state races that are important to you, your friends, your community, your neighborhood?

Are there any voting issues in your immediate area?  If so, what kind?

We will post a few ‘ground report’ threads throughout the day for you to share the latest news and information from your area as well as your state.

Remember a key facet in modern election cycles is to ignore any national MSM coverage of exit polling or trends as national news is generally trying to shape opinion and thereby shape outcome.

Regardless of the narrative being promoted, ignore exit polling which has been shown to be heavily manipulated by media.  Just vote.
