AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka rose to power in combination with President Obama.  Trumka became president of the AFL-CIO at the same time President Obama took office in January 2009.

The Chicago machine organized a pact between the revolutionary communists (RevCom) and labor unions in 2007; specifically to assist the installation of Obama in the 2008 presidential election.  The AFL-CIO (Nicholas), SEIU (Andy Stern), UFCW, UAW and AFSCME labor unions all agreed to assemble their foot-soldiers in common cause.  That union army defeated Hillary Clinton in a brutal 2008 presidential primary.  The communists won. The rest is history.

It was around the time of Richard Trumka’s 60th birthday celebration when the deal was signed.  The Communists would get President Obama, in return the labor unions would get the massive pension liability of union member healthcare removed from their books.  This is the origin of ObamaCare; by any means necessary.

Today, Richard Trumka died.

[Media] – Trumka, 72, has served as president of the massive 12.5 million-member labor union for more than a decade. Democratic politicians quickly memorialized him as a titan for worker rights.

“We are heartbroken to inform you that our brother and leader Rich Trumka passed away this morning at the age of 72,” said Liz Shuler, AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer in a note to staff.   President Joe Biden addressed Trumka’s death on Thursday, after apologizing for being late to a meeting with Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander civil rights leaders, he said to reporters, “I just learned a very close friend passed away.”

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis delivered a statement about the future of Florida today while visiting Cape Coral on the Southwest coast.  During his remarks, the governor highlighted his support for parent’s rights, taking the position that parents should be the ones making decisions for their children on masks, schools and vaccines, not government.

Governor DeSantis promised Florida residents there will be no lockdowns, no mandates, no restrictions and no school closures.  Additionally, the governor urged all local communities to follow common sense science and said he will soon issue an order allowing parents or guardians to choose whether their child wears a mask in schools.

“As of today, very few [school districts] are requiring it. Nevertheless, we have a lot of push from the CDC and others to make every single person, kids and staff have to wear masks all day,” DeSantis said during the event. “That would be a huge mistake.”  WATCH:

The Florida Education Association (FEA), the largest teacher union in the state, said they will fight the Florida governor on all measures.  The teachers union is considering not going back to work with in-person teaching, and has vowed not to give up control of the (k-12) children to the parents. “Governor DeSantis continues to think that Tallahassee knows best what all Floridians need,” FEA President Andrew Spar said in a statement.  “We reject that kind of thinking” Spar continued.

“Instead, we ask Governor DeSantis to allow all Florida’s citizens to have a voice by empowering the elected leaders of cities, counties and school districts to make health and safety decisions locally based on their unique needs and circumstances,” Spar said.  Emphasizing how the union feels they have more power in the blue and leftist urban area, and they have vowed to fight any conservative effort in the state to undermine the teachers financial interests and control over Florida students.

One of the reasons why the federal mandate for vaccinations will fail will be the backlash and refusal compliance by the blue-collar workforce.

While the U.S. ideological media will downplay the scale of power within the middle-class and blue-collar workforce, they know the true power exists. The team behind Biden might poke this bear to test a reaction, but they will not dare confront it directly. They know that.  WE know that.

The 220,000 members of the American Postal Workers Union (APWU) released a statement saying the federal government has no business attempting to force vaccinate the workforce. This union will not be the only one… watch:

PRESS RELEASE – Various media outlets have reported that the White House is considering mandatory COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of employment for federal employees.

Maintaining the health and safety of our members is of paramount importance. While the APWU leadership continues to encourage postal workers to voluntarily get vaccinated, it is not the role of the federal government to mandate vaccinations for the employees we represent.

Issues related to vaccinations and testing for COVID-19 in the workplace must be negotiated with the APWU. At this time the APWU opposes the mandating of COVID-19 vaccinations in relation to U.S. postal workers. (link)

There is absolutely no doubt the emotional impact of schools being closed, and the social disconnect created upon children, is severely damaging to their spiritual and mental health [STATS HERE].  Last week with the help of John Spiropoulos we posted a ground report on the Women of Watts rally.

John has produced three more spots (video’s below), each profiling different parents or grandparents at the rally.  In addition John provided the footage to the Women of Watts to help them spread the word and raise money.  John’s goal was to increase awareness, make these stories more than a 15 second soundbite, and to allow people to tell their story.

To understand just how devastating the outcomes are upon our nation’s children, consider this emotional plea from Leo Terrell.  His tears are actually tears of strength, not weakness, because Terrell knows what horrific outcomes will manifest if we do not immediately make returning to school a priority for our kids.

In my personal opinion this emotional and education crisis is purposeful to the efforts of the far-left.  If they can destroy the emotional and intellectual functioning of a generation through the exploitation of COVID, their efforts to fundamentally change the U.S. will be enhanced by creating weaker citizens who are more dependent on outside solutions to their struggles.  

COVID today is a problem, but the COVID consequences in the subsequent years will surface as the fabric of a tenuous society becomes even more fractured around class/income lines.  The creation of a dependency (slave) class, is a fundamental objective of the Fabian Socialist worldview.  Elites who make decisions for those who cannot be self sufficient is always the goal of the communist utopia.  

Think ‘big picture’ and you can see how this pebble in our societal shoe today will become an extremely destructive boulder on the backs of the American way of life in the years ahead.  Do not view this current situation as a small problem; they are doing this by specific design.  STAND and fight. /SD

The CDC reports a Dramatic Increase in Mental Health Issues among children. November 13, 2020)  The proportion of child mental health visits to Emergency Rooms dramatically increased from March through October 2020 over the same period in 2019.

•  The share of mental health-related hospital emergency department visits rose 24% for children 5-11 compared to the same time period the previous year
•  The share of mental health-related hospital emergency department visits increased 31% for adolescents age 12 to 17 compared to the same time period the previous year.
•  While there were in increases for both males and females, female cases were far higher than male cases.

Democrat mega-donor and Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos, a man who previously took pictures of his penis to send to his mistress, is now claiming that mail-in ballots could be manipulated during a unionization vote in Alabama.

Ironically, and in accordance with the customary hypocrisy from the far-left, Bezos is the same person who advocated for mail-in ballots in the 2020 election.

(Via Wall Street Journal) – Amazon Inc. is seeking to postpone a unionization vote at a warehouse in Alabama and is asking federal labor authorities to reconsider a decision to allow mail-in voting due to the pandemic.

The company Thursday filed an appeal to a decision by the National Labor Relations Board, which is allowing a mail-in process due to Covid-19 risks instead of the in-person elections that are typical in such unionization votes.

The ballots are set to be mailed to about 6,000 workers associated with its Bessemer, Ala. facility on Feb. 8. In its petition, Amazon said the board’s decision was flawed in part because it had not adequately defined an outbreak, among other objections.

Responding to numerous inquires, let’s chat…

Nothing currently unfolding is surprising to many long-term CTH political researchers and observers.  After all, it’s The Last Refuge because we have been talking about the tentacles of this for a very, long time.  However, that said, let’s step back away from the chaff and countermeasures for a few moments and lay out some of the ‘why’.

Step One – First, the financial powers beyond the Big Club gain full unlawful compliance by those within the election system; those who would willingly break election laws by manipulating outcomes; by framing the target -Donald Trump- as evil.  Thus, workers justify their unlawful activity as saving the nation “by any means necessary“…

The Tools – The COVID-19 narrative becomes a tool to achieve a variety of objectives: debate controls; the deployed ‘excuse‘ for a very visible lack of voter enthusiasm for the puppet (Biden); the use of fraudulent ‘mail-in ballots’; the keeping of socially distant physical auditors, etc.  Without COVID as a tool the manufactured process is more difficult. The ‘never let a crisis go to waste‘ strategy includes the creation of a crisis.

Why? – Why all of this effort?… why such extremes?… why would blue state governors willingly destroy their economy?….  Follow the money, it’s always about the money.

The global ideology is worthless without money.   Wall Street’s Rick Santelli knows, he’s watching the second deployment of an identical playbook.

Michigan and the subsequent 125 Democrat delegates is a critical state for the presidential primary contest between Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders.   Michigan (125 delegates), Idaho (20), Mississippi (36), Missouri (68), North Dakota (14), and Washington State (89) all vote next Tuesday March 10th.
Former Vice-President Joe Biden, an advocate for outsourcing U.S. jobs via corrupt trade deals, is hoping to leverage his phony pro-union bona-fides & crush Bernie Sanders in Michigan.
However, Bernie has a strong ground team in Michigan, understands the importance in delegate accumulation, and also knows it is critical to defeat the ‘unelectable‘ narrative the DNC Club has deployed against him.
Michigan is also critical for Bernie because his positions on Cuba have damaged his hopes in Florida (219 delegates) voting on March 17th.
If Bernie is going to mount a progressive charge against the power of the DNC apparatus he needs a strong outcome from working class voters in Michigan, Illinois (155) and Ohio (136 delegates).  The primary contests in Illinois and Ohio are held on March 17th along with Florida.
Into this critical moment comes Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer who is: (a) part of the professional party apparatus; and (b) endorsing the party candidate, Joe Biden.

MICHIGAN – Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) on Thursday endorsed Joe Biden for president, a significant boost for the former vice president ahead of next week’s primary in the Wolverine State.

In August of last year federal authorities raided the homes of United Auto Workers (UAW) President Gary Jones who was under investigation in a nationwide corruption sweep.  Today an indictment was unsealed charging Jones with embezzling more than $1 million in union funds.  His former deputy was arrested in September.

DETROIT (Reuters) – Former United Auto Workers (UAW) President Gary Jones was charged on Thursday with embezzling more than $1 million of union funds amid a U.S. corruption probe that has raised the specter of a federal government takeover of the union.
Jones, 62, of Canton, Michigan, was charged in an information, a court document typically used when the government has reached a plea deal with a defendant. J. Bruce Maffeo, a lawyer for Jones, declined to comment. The documents were filed previously and unsealed on Thursday.

Democrat presidential candidate Bernie Sanders now leads most polls in the key states where the democrat primary battle will begin. With the grassroots Bernie-AOC wing carrying all the enthusiasm and momentum time is running out for the DNC club.
Factually I would argue that Bernie has always led in the polls, but party operatives in alignment with the apparatus of media have manipulated the media poll outcomes in an effort to steer the chosen narrative from the DNC boardroom.  It’s just how they roll.
CTH uses alternate matrices to gauge support, including monitoring social media and looking for the club’s traditional Astroturf fingerprints. That said, the dynamic within the factional Democrat party is now quite remarkable.   Despite the transparent hit-jobs by DNC operatives against him, Bernie is in position to win every early state and he has a clear and visible path to the nomination.   But the club has made some conspicuous counter moves.
The DNC club, the establishment writ large, has tried to advance several candidates to offset the rise of the far-left Democrat-Socialists within the Bernie-AOC group.  Their latest effort, aided by their media conscripts was (and is) Elizabeth Warren.  However, it ain’t working.  The more they attempt to help Warren, the more transparent it is.  Inauthentic ‘wokeness’ doesn’t work, Bernie has withstood the effort.
But watch out.

One of the key sectors gaining benefit from the USMCA trade agreement is the auto sector.  Rules on steel and aluminum smelting/origination, and rules on part origination from North America are key aspects to the trade agreement that shifts focus from the import of Asian manufactured parts for assembly to manufacturing in North America.
Essentially, seventy-five percent of the component parts for the auto industry must be manufactured in North America.  This shift directly puts U.S. auto-workers at the forefront for job gains & stops the process of using manufactured parts from China, Asia or the EU.
The goal of the agreement was/is to make manufacturing investment in North America the main consideration for auto-manufacturers who want access to the U.S. market.  Today, as a direct result of future investment considerations, General Motors and Ford unexpectedly surprise 1,500 auto-workers with the announcement their jobs have gone from part-time to full-time status.  Great news for these families:

Humphrey, 27, has been a part-time temporary worker at GM’s Flint Assembly in Michigan for the last three years. On Sunday morning, he and about 250 of his co-workers crowded into UAW Local 598’s union hall. Most thought they were there for a routine meeting.
